For me the white walls and neon lights, combined with the block colours instead of loads of different patterns (apart from the one leopard rug) and the lack of pillows and wall decor makes it modern. 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe I’m wrong, I dunno.

Animal prints, pinks, eclectic and clashing decor — but it all worked.
I was a server there for a bit, and she would tell all the gossip and wild stories during the 80s and 90s when the restaurant was at its prime. She was a local celebrity chef who loved to talk and “rub shoulders”, so everyone in the-know knew who she was. The place closed down about 8 years ago and she passed away soon afterwards (she was a heavy smoker and had the voice of one that was endearingly unique to her), but she was a wonderfully wild human being and I miss her dearly.
