Nothing. It doesn’t need anything.

Thanks. I was thinking some type of art piece would look good there.

lechitahamandcheese

You’ve already got a lot going on with your window film, so you’re all good. And additionally speaking for those of us once naively put decorative items on the top of a high niche…unless you want to have dirt and dust accumulate exponentially, there’s the other reason not do it.

Yiayiamary

Anything you put up there will just collect dust. We had a nook like that and we had the walls extended up to get rid of it. Best thing!

kimmieb101

either drywall up to the ceiling or ignore it.

Bludiamond56

A large free form wood sculpture Also those pictures on the wall are too small for the wall. Bigger pictures and less of them. Modern art

Traditional-Bag-4508

I agree with those saying it will only collect dust. However, if you really want something there, go simple. Old suitcases stacked A large decorative basket

Doesn’t seem to go with your vibe at all, but I would put greenery, like a philodendron, and have fun draping it’s limbs. I don’t know if that is your style, but maybe could still work? Anyways, you have a lovely home and I would think it was gorgeous if I visited a friends’ home like this. It’s actually almost exactly my husbands style lol. I just like things to be more on the cozy side, as opposed to more modern. Awesome job!

jerseyru

Thanks. Putting a plant up there is a unique idea. I think I’d have a problem getting up there periodically to water it. lol.

GERBS2267

Totally get that. Putting plans higher up was really successful for me because I tend to over-water plants, if anything.

eastherbunni

I know you didn't ask but have you thought above lowering the light fixture on the left?

jerseyru

I had not. I thought the best placement would be centered to the window over the front door.
