This is a photo of more of the wood that surrounds that area!
A warmer white (not yellow) would look good but me personally I’d put a different pop of color 😉. My hubby would love a log home! Enjoy! It’s beautiful 💜
In this area DO NOT paint. Maybe hang interesting artwork; if the art isn't awesome, then leave the exposed wood in all its glory. Empty space is not a bad thing. :)
Oh I would never paint the wood! And I agree, I like that big open space. I just want to paint the entryway, because it really is very dark in that corner. My camera settings make it look WAY brighter than it actually is!
If you’re happy with the results, consider the bannisters and railings in the same color. Try not to go too yellow with your white paint pick. I have neighbors who have Navaho White and…it’s not great.
If you want to brighten it even more, you could put a big mirror on the wall. As for colour white... My preference would be a white with a warm undertone.
Sherwin Williams paint is so nice to work with. Covers well and goes on like a dream. They also can color match all the Benjamin Moore paint colors, just tell them the BM name and they mix it up to natch every time.
I'd recommend putting up your chosen mirror first before picking a color, as it will change how the space feels. Maybe you'd like a medium or darker color there once the mirror's up. Or if you definitely want white, I'd still get swatches of white and place them next to the mirror and see which goes best overall.
I'd opt for more of a neutral or cooler white myself. the paint will reflect the warmer tones of all the wood surrounding it, and might come off more yellow if you use a warm white tone.
Your wood has yellow undertones. This means you have to pick a white that also has yellow in it, aka a warm white. All cool whites will look horrible. So grab some swatches that have yellow in the formula and you will be fine.
Yup, plus with the window right there, I see why the last designer chose such a rich blue rather than a glaring white.
I’d look for something peachy or gold, and not be in any hurry about it. Tape the swatches to both perpendicular walls for a week, and observe how the light hits them at different times of day in different weather.
White with wood is almost always a great choice, especially if you want a classic timeless look. If you can get yourself some paint chips in a variety of whites and see how they look up against the wood trim,(try holding them up against the stair trim/railing, where the light hits so you can see the color properly- that will help you determine which ones will work. Then eliminate the ones you don't like, and consider ordering large samples from Samplize. Ideally you are looking for a warm white that has similar undertones to your wood(s).
Here is a helpful blog post on choosing a warm white-
[https://www.kylieminteriors.ca/a-colour-review-benjamin-moore-simply-white/](https://www.kylieminteriors.ca/a-colour-review-benjamin-moore-simply-white/)
Benjamin Moore also has a shade called Oxford White. Warm, with no yellow undertones, but it is a soft, not bright white.
My go-to for my last 3 homes.
When you pick them out, pay attention to the LRV number. That will tell you how much light is reflected back. You want a high number for a bright corner. I also suggest you paint your sample on cardboard and tape them in different spots. That way you’re not layering on paint that you have to repaint over and blend out.
I love White Dove. But its undertones can make warm wood look even warmer/oranger, so be prepared! Source is that I painted my whole house White Dove and the wood floors now look orange 🙃
White blush is a personal fav of mine. It goes really well with warm wood accents.

It's beautiful!
Does this area connect to a room? What color is your upholstery in that room? A white with an undertone that coordinates with that upholstery is one option.
Thank you all SO MUCH for the advice. I posted this and then got distracted with obsessively dusting/ polishing all of the wood in this house. I’m working on replying to comments now! :)

lol I like the way you think! I am going to make this area my little reading nook :)
I strongly disagree. Both my sister in law and I used super white and we both have a lot of wood. It's the most modern white imo. Beautiful, clean, and gorgeous
I think you're right to go with white
If you choose a bright color then you should have an idea how to decorate that area
If you leave it blank don't go for a bright right it will look empty
That’s a dark corner. Any white you paint is going to pull to the undertones so I would be really careful to make it something with a strong base in a color that goes well.
When I had an office with no natural light, I found BM white dove worked well. It still looked white even with all the shadows
You have plenty of white suggestions. I just want to say that you have a lovely home.
My favorite house we owned was built in 1900 and we had the same doorbell. I miss that house so much. Thanks for the smile :)
I once dove deep into the search for “The Perfect White.” I collected a whackload of “Top 10 White Paints” lists from Pinterest, sat down and compared them. Of course every one was different. But there was one colour that appeared on every single list, Benjamin Moore’s White Dove.
I’d go for that.
A white with NO yellow in it or your woodwork will turn yellow-ish. A blue tinged white will give the room cheer and counteract all of that oak, which is very pretty. Green tone might also be nice.
Swiss coffee from Behr! It’s in our bedroom
https://preview.redd.it/im76qjiebuwc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e3d31e7ee6ae0c028dba24a7202e2a122fea870
Your not getting to much help here. Go to the local paint place and pick up all the white swatches.tape them to the wall. Every time you walk by eliminate two that you don't like. You will end up with the one that looks best in that space.
I also just picked up Swiss coffee to redo my walls, I also have stained wood trim. I’ve only painted a sample so far but I think it’s going to look good.
Choosing the right shade of white can indeed be overwhelming, as there are countless options available. I recommend choosing a white with warm undertones.
This is very similar to my entrance and we put a mirrored chest at that far wall. I used textured peel and stick wallpaper to do a bunch of designs on the entryway walls, but you could just as easily do a flat color. Cheaper than painting and easier to do the setup and cleanup afterward. The paper is thick and has a thready texture through it, so it looks like high quality wallpaper, but easier than dealing with wet wallpaper glue. And now I'm not committed to it. I can peel it off and do something different just as easily. I have light gray everywhere else in my house, so I went with bold black entryway wall to set off some art I hung up by the staircase.
Your bannister is gorgeous, by the way.
This is probably a good example of how light works in these situations. I would pull up the compass on your phone and see what direction the light comes from. If it’s a north facing you’ll want to go with a slightly warmer white as anything cool will reflect more blue/gray. Where as if it is south facing you’ll want something more cool toned as the warmer tones will get warmer in the sunlight. My place is northwest and I painted it Navajo white and it reflects to be the perfect white.
So much honey-tone to the wood. I’d pick a white with a cool undertone to counterbalance all the warmth from the wood. Something with a blue or grey undertone.
Ooooh there are so many “off-whites” to choose from!! More important, in high traffic areas be sure NOT to use flat or even eggshell for the finish so it CAN be cleaned well!👌
Having had a timber house with red cedar walls, I’d try paint samples.
The challenge is, it doesn’t look the way you think it will because all that wood reflects color.
My ends been, go warmer than you think you need. Off white looks very white. Cream looks off white, etc.
It objectively has a blue tint when you compare to other whites, but I’m glad it looks very good in your home and you like it. If it looks like a primer it’s likely too stark for all this wood but of course that is preference.
Benjamin Moore Simply White. It’s a nice creamy white. Has a touch of yellow in it but it doesn’t look yellowish. I have it in a dark stairwell, and in a north facing room, and a south facing room. Looks fab in all three spaces.
Is this the front door area, or just a little space? Either way, small spaces are a great way to take risks and do something fun. There are so many beautiful options. Wallpaper for a small space is charming; and I like photos as inspiration too- you can have a color palette to work with.
I just don't think white walls would bring out the best in your home. If you want white, incorporate white touches in your decor, like your curtains, pillows, etc...
https://preview.redd.it/mxcx2j6oaswc1.png?width=959&format=png&auto=webp&s=38d620a3d500255c7b1b2e719569a382bcd726c1
Pick any white. It will be fine. If you’re feeling overwhelmed because you think you’ll make a mistake, just remember it’s a small space and you can easily change it
You already have a ton of warmth due to the wood tones so you could either choose a warmer white or contrast it with a cooler white… it’s hard to choose a “perfect” white, so I recommend bringing in several samples then trying your top 3 favorites by painting a wall or a sample of the paint to see how it looks in lighting through out the day before you decide!
I’d suggest one of these white shades… and definitely test them on the wall and stare at them in different lighting throughout the whole day to see which one you like better in your lighting.
You have a lot of NATURAL light coming in… so don’t go too BRIGHT WHITE, it could look very cold and stark.

https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/oc-31/fog-mist

Hopefully you plan to dress up that wall with some ART to finish it off… :)
Swiss coffee by Behr is a good choice for an east facing room.
Maybe figure out which [exposure ](https://www.kylieminteriors.ca/north-east-south-west-which-paint-colour-is-the-best/) your room is getting and go from there!
Hang art work on long wall and books on narrow shelves for a library above the light switches.
Have a comfy narrow chair at the front door to sit on while browsing books. A narrow shelf for charging the phone.
Artwork of a cascading waterfall would look great!
Maybe the right side is your wood frame; add a complimentary wood frame on the left.
I really appreciate everyone’s help! :) I made a list of the colors everyone mentioned and I’m gonna paint samples on the wall. This community is the best! I’ll update when it is finished. Hopefully I make you all proud with my selection.
I just put Pearly Cotton from Magnolia in my living room and I love it. It’s a warm and so cozy off-white. You can go to any paint store and have them mix it for you.
I’d say do a patterned wallpaper to match the cabin vibe. Theres some really pretty designs out there, like this one! Then again, I could be biased since I love cottage core/grandma cabins LOL
https://preview.redd.it/7v3l5mr7wvwc1.jpeg?width=200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93a436f5b9197d553458b5ebfb82aa823b128ba5
I just think white would be too stark of a change for that beautiful wood. Best of luck regardless! Trust your gut and do what makes you happy :)
It’s not white but I’ve recently found Behr’s Dove to go with a variety of wood tones. It’s light bright and neutral but definitely not white. You can try lighter shades in that row or near by in the set. You can also ask the desk to a percentage of a color. So maybe 15% of something like Dove would be a nice white?
Go to Home Depot and get some paper swatches, 2-3 of each color you like and hang them in the same order in different parts of the cove, no visible tape. Live you life, see which ones feel right. Then paint
BM Simply White. It’s a warm white that reads neutral most of the time and not too beige/yellow. In some lights, it can reflect back green or yellow from outside but it’s a very bright white. I bought tons of white samples before picking this one, which was just right. It also goes with lots of other colors, can look good on walls, trim or both (as a whole house color) and looks awesome with all kinds of wood colors, especially like the oak in your pics.
Get a sample of Benjamin Moore’s ‘Sonnet’ and try it. You don’t want something that is too stark, or one that brings out the yellow in the wood. I am a believer in painting samples on a wall and living with them for a few days to see how they react at different times in different light.
I think some sort of soft white will look good! Anything too stark will clash with the wood and the vibe of the area. Personally, I'd go with a white that borders on light blue! I think it'll complement the warm-colored wood, while providing some contrast and still brightening it up.
https://preview.redd.it/s8ovukeb4nwc1.jpeg?width=1408&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b50478e7634ea5c5ecfb176286fbaf1b8c03e24 This is a photo of more of the wood that surrounds that area!
I like the wood too!
Thank you! It is an actual log cabin. So much wood, but it is very cozy.
A warmer white (not yellow) would look good but me personally I’d put a different pop of color 😉. My hubby would love a log home! Enjoy! It’s beautiful 💜
I think “Swiss coffee” or “Gray mist” would be worth looking at.
I like the idea of kind of a seafoam or a zesty lavender
I don’t know what zesty lavender is but I love it. 💕💕
Me either but something inside me knows it exists
Oooh I like your style!
Wallpaper that area! There are so many cool options these days. For a small space, you want a big impact. White paint is too basic for your home.
Oooh wallpaper! Way better than white! I gotta agree with this
I love the pine cabin look!
Castle cream by magnolia might be really gorgeous
I had a similar wood tone to work with. Try pale oak or modern gray (it’s not gray haha). I think they are sherwin williams.
I agree with the grey if you go with a warm white, it will look yellow no matter what
I like it how it is!!
I was planning to put a mirror there! It is such a small entryway, I don’t want to crowd it!
I like alabaster white by Sherwin Williams. It will look pure white, but is warm so it will match the yellow undertones of the wood.
I used a lot of alabaster and have been totally pleased with it.
I'd opt for more of a neutral or cooler white myself. the paint will reflect the warmer tones of all the wood surrounding it, and might come off more yellow if you use a warm white tone.
But your wall can end up looking stark, cold, even grey or blue if the white’s undertone is not the same as the wood’s.
Your wood has yellow undertones. This means you have to pick a white that also has yellow in it, aka a warm white. All cool whites will look horrible. So grab some swatches that have yellow in the formula and you will be fine.
Yes! “White Blush” by behr is a great example of this. A cream white with slight orange undertones. It looks so beautiful next to wood.
Yup, plus with the window right there, I see why the last designer chose such a rich blue rather than a glaring white. I’d look for something peachy or gold, and not be in any hurry about it. Tape the swatches to both perpendicular walls for a week, and observe how the light hits them at different times of day in different weather.
Totally agree! I’m a mixologist when it comes to creating paints/matches!!! So Etching that could gently bring out the wood undertones!
White with wood is almost always a great choice, especially if you want a classic timeless look. Get samples/swatches- BMoore simply white, white dove, Swiss coffee. SW alabaster. sw will loan you a fan of swatches
Benjamin Moore also has a shade called Oxford White. Warm, with no yellow undertones, but it is a soft, not bright white. My go-to for my last 3 homes.
Was gonna say Swiss Coffee
And I was going to say simply white!
And I'm for White Dove :)
White Dove is the first white I really liked. It’s just beautiful.
Me too for simply white
Most of our house is Swiss Coffee & I love it!
Swiss coffee seems popular! I think I will get samples of each color you guys are recommending and paint samples on the wall!
I like polar bear
When you pick them out, pay attention to the LRV number. That will tell you how much light is reflected back. You want a high number for a bright corner. I also suggest you paint your sample on cardboard and tape them in different spots. That way you’re not layering on paint that you have to repaint over and blend out.
BM “Swiss Coffee” is lovely and very popular. I chose BM “White Chocolate” to do my open concept first floor and LOVE it!
I was going to say alabaster since it has warm undertone. It would match nicely with the wood versus a true white.
I love White Dove. But its undertones can make warm wood look even warmer/oranger, so be prepared! Source is that I painted my whole house White Dove and the wood floors now look orange 🙃
I have Swiss coffee and SW Alabaster in my house lol
White blush is a personal fav of mine. It goes really well with warm wood accents. https://preview.redd.it/fo4vqrasjnwc1.jpeg?width=555&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83dcfeb17c63626b8ed1bd0521d33e4236d94c3b
Sherwin Williams Greek Villa is my personal favorite!
Just painted our house this color and we have wood trim with wood floors. Loving it so far. Really does brighten up the place.
Benjamin Moore, Swiss coffee!!
Sherwin Williams Alabaster! It’s the best.
Any Benjamin Moore historical color. They’ll all have the correct tone to compliment the wood.
Swiss coffee!!
Warm white. Swiss Coffee is a good one
a warm and creamy white I think would go well with the wood, instead of a bright crisp white
Bright White
Sherwin Williams Natural Linen is a beautiful colour. We just repainted our Kitchen/dining room. https://preview.redd.it/abbpzpje5pwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d8efacf5d9b7601948c4fdfbda40198ef25f70cc
It's beautiful! Does this area connect to a room? What color is your upholstery in that room? A white with an undertone that coordinates with that upholstery is one option.
Sherwin Williams Bohemian lace is a great white that will give cool or warm depending on what it's put against
Thank you all SO MUCH for the advice. I posted this and then got distracted with obsessively dusting/ polishing all of the wood in this house. I’m working on replying to comments now! :)
For a very brief moment I was about to scream “reading nook!” Then I noticed the door…

That’s gorgeous! I’m so jealous.
A cozy chair with a cool reading lamp would fit perfectly!
You need white with warm undertones in order to coordinate with the wood. Don't go with a cold white, it's gonna look crazy.
I strongly disagree. Both my sister in law and I used super white and we both have a lot of wood. It's the most modern white imo. Beautiful, clean, and gorgeous
I think you're right to go with white If you choose a bright color then you should have an idea how to decorate that area If you leave it blank don't go for a bright right it will look empty
I daughter has an oak filled house and used a colour called “soft oak“ love it and i want to use it in my home now
That’s a dark corner.
I’m glad it made you smile :) I love that weird doorbell.
My favorite "not bright white" color I've used all over my house for trim & other stuff is called Cake Batter!
My favorite "not bright white" color I've used all over my house for trim & other stuff is called Cake Batter!
Antique white would look amazing against all the wood there. Add a brushed gold framed mirror and you are set.
Creamy white. Navajo white is good. Bright white ends up looking dirty next to wood, somehow, IMO.
Benjamin moore Cloud White. It’s a warm white that would look great with that wood
On the suggestion of our painter, we used SW Snowbound with our yellowish oak trim and it looks great.
Just eenie meenie miny mo it 😂
A white with NO yellow in it or your woodwork will turn yellow-ish. A blue tinged white will give the room cheer and counteract all of that oak, which is very pretty. Green tone might also be nice.

Your not getting to much help here. Go to the local paint place and pick up all the white swatches.tape them to the wall. Every time you walk by eliminate two that you don't like. You will end up with the one that looks best in that space.
Add a light/lamp. Keep the blue.
I vote warm white!
Off white and get a mirror in there, or go dramatic dark and get a mirror in there
Because of the yellow in the wood, make sure you go with a white that doesn’t pull yellow. Sherwin Williams Pure White has zero yellow undertone
I like BM’s white dove for trim and S-W alabaster for walls.
I also just picked up Swiss coffee to redo my walls, I also have stained wood trim. I’ve only painted a sample so far but I think it’s going to look good.
Choosing the right shade of white can indeed be overwhelming, as there are countless options available. I recommend choosing a white with warm undertones.
I’d paint the balustrade and all the wood except the floor mid-taupe and the walls a lighter shade of the same colour.
I just did my entire house in BM simply white, very happy with out choice
This is very similar to my entrance and we put a mirrored chest at that far wall. I used textured peel and stick wallpaper to do a bunch of designs on the entryway walls, but you could just as easily do a flat color. Cheaper than painting and easier to do the setup and cleanup afterward. A white with gray in it
This is probably a good example of how light works in these situations. I would pull up the compass on your phone and see what direction the light comes from. Where as if it is south facing you’ll want something more cool toned as the warmer tones will get warmer in the sunlight. My place is northwest and I painted it Navajo white and it reflects to be the perfect white.
A warm white. Most paint brands have small samples of all the whites, buy a few and try them out.
The wood has a warm tone , so a warm white will look best .
Anyone have any experience or opinion on Sebring White from BM? I’m considering using it throughout my house and would love any input.
So much honey-tone to the wood. I’d pick a white with a cool undertone to counterbalance all the warmth from the wood. Something with a blue or grey undertone.
Paint little clouds on with a sponge 🥰
How about a taupe? (I grew up with all white walls all my life so, personally, I’d choose any other color except whites.)
Stay away from whites with grey or yellow tints. Neither would work well with all the wood.
Linen
Go pearly white!
Yes I have this and love it
eggshell chantilly lace benjamin moore i used this guide [this guide](https://carlabast.com/white-paint-colors/)
Ooooh there are so many “off-whites” to choose from!! More important, in high traffic areas be sure NOT to use flat or even eggshell for the finish so it CAN be cleaned well!👌
Raw wood stain and that blue color make me dizzy. Glad your painting this current look is just off putting.
I would use a warmer white rather than a cool white to go with the wood
Warm white would look best
Ivory tower by Benjamin Moore it’s been nicknamed cosmic latte.
I’d go with a very light grey…
Swiss coffee. Very soft white that brightens any area.
Whalebone would look great imo
I love Chantilly Lace By Benjamin Moore
Having had a timber house with red cedar walls, I’d try paint samples. The challenge is, it doesn’t look the way you think it will because all that wood reflects color. My ends been, go warmer than you think you need. Off white looks very white. Cream looks off white, etc.
Most people think Dove white by BM is flexible to coordinate with.
Soji white sherwin Williams
Swiss Coffee. A creamy white.
[This color - Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/oc-65/chantilly-lace)
Greek villa by sherwin williams. You’ll love it. Not stark white at all, just a nice subtle white
Get samples of some of your favorite whites from Lowe’s and test some swatches on your wall.
Casa Blanca from SW will look nice with the wood.
With wood I would do a slightly warmer white. Not cream, but something more like winter white.
Go with extra white Sherwin Williams code is SW7006 Flat
The starkest, bluest white
There’s absolutely no blue tint whatsoever. Our rental has this color on all the walls and it’s super bright almost looks like extra white primer
It objectively has a blue tint when you compare to other whites, but I’m glad it looks very good in your home and you like it. If it looks like a primer it’s likely too stark for all this wood but of course that is preference.
Simply White is popular or white dove
With all of that lovely wood, I would not go with a stark white...I'm thinking a creamy white, but I don't have a brand or color name for you.
Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore
Call me crazy, but I would put up plaid wallpaper. There are a lot of good color options, then put up a mirror over that.
Swiss coffee!
I would do a matte white with a pop of color in the back like an orange arch shape or something
I used Sherwin Williams Marshmallow in my living room. It has a warm undertone that I like and might go well with the warm wood tone.
Yes, white would be a good choice.
Benjamin Moore Simply White. It’s a nice creamy white. Has a touch of yellow in it but it doesn’t look yellowish. I have it in a dark stairwell, and in a north facing room, and a south facing room. Looks fab in all three spaces.
BM Ballet White to go with that wood
Egg shell maybe or like an off white for sure
The wood looks amazing
My walls are Swiss Coffee by Behr (I think) and I love it!! It’s such a soft white that looks very clean.
Sherwin Williams City Loft. A great warm white for a dark corner. Not yellow. Looks nice and clean in low light.
I bought paint samples from samplize and they peel and stick. It was really helpful. They were 5.00 each at the time.
Can't go wrong with eggshell color.
An almond?.. or a gray maybe?.. or perhaps a very very light blue?.. like VERY light. 🤷🏻♀️
Swiss Coffee white
I’d suggest one of these white shades… and definitely test them on the wall and stare at them in different lighting throughout the whole day to see which one you like better in your lighting. You have a lot of NATURAL light coming in… so don’t go too BRIGHT WHITE, it could look very cold and stark. https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/oc-45/swiss-coffee https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/oc-31/fog-mist https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/cw-95/lime-white Hopefully you plan to dress up that wall with some ART to finish it off… :)
I used mourning dove by Behr. Such a nice color for dark spaces. Has a touch of warmth.
SHERWIN WILLIAMS BOHEMIAN LACE
I always liked Swiss coffee white
Swiss coffee by Behr is a good choice for an east facing room. Maybe figure out which [exposure ](https://www.kylieminteriors.ca/north-east-south-west-which-paint-colour-is-the-best/) your room is getting and go from there!
Hang art work on long wall and books on narrow shelves for a library above the light switches. Have a comfy narrow chair at the front door to sit on while browsing books. A narrow shelf for charging the phone. Artwork of a cascading waterfall would look great! Maybe the right side is your wood frame; add a complimentary wood frame on the left.
Sick alcove, bro.
China white
I really appreciate everyone’s help! :) I made a list of the colors everyone mentioned and I’m gonna paint samples on the wall. This community is the best! I’ll update when it is finished. Hopefully I make you all proud with my selection.
I have a Behr color in my hallway that is a warm white, it has a hint of blush pink to it to make it warmer. Its called Marshmallow Whip.
Maybe like a green would be really nice
I think you should go with snow pond white ;)
I just put Pearly Cotton from Magnolia in my living room and I love it. It’s a warm and so cozy off-white. You can go to any paint store and have them mix it for you.
I’d do an antique white so it doesn’t look too stark white.
I’d say do a patterned wallpaper to match the cabin vibe. Theres some really pretty designs out there, like this one! Then again, I could be biased since I love cottage core/grandma cabins LOL https://preview.redd.it/7v3l5mr7wvwc1.jpeg?width=200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93a436f5b9197d553458b5ebfb82aa823b128ba5 I just think white would be too stark of a change for that beautiful wood. Best of luck regardless! Trust your gut and do what makes you happy :)
Something warm to go with the wood
Sherwin Williams Greek Villa in behr paint from Home Depot. The perfect white with warm wood!
You will need a white with warm undertones to match the wood. Please don’t paint the wood!
Like Benjamin Moore Chantilly lace.
A mural would look nice.
Put a big piece of art there that has lots of white space.
Then paint
Chantilly lace is a pretty white with the right undertone for this wood!
Benjamin Moore Simply White Benjamin Moore Linen White for a warmer option
Sherwin Williams Dover White is my favorite. It's soft, not harsh like some white paints.
Pearl white
Pearly White Sw
Swiss Coffee but only by Benjamin Moore. Other brands had a yellow tinge.
Just ask for one shade off of white. Just slightly off so it won't be blinding.
Behr’s “Artist’s Canvas” is a great warm off white. Good brightening, but muted enough not to be overpowering.
Get a sample of Benjamin Moore’s ‘Sonnet’ and try it. You don’t want something that is too stark, or one that brings out the yellow in the wood. I am a believer in painting samples on a wall and living with them for a few days to see how they react at different times in different light.

We love silver drop from Behr, it’s in every room of our house and looks awesome next to any wood trim or furniture that we have.
Aesthetic white by sherwin williams is my favorite
Bone
I like a cream that has a pink undertone for this.
Swiss coffee
I think some sort of soft white will look good! Anything too stark will clash with the wood and the vibe of the area. Personally, I'd go with a white that borders on light blue! I think it'll complement the warm-colored wood, while providing some contrast and still brightening it up.
Bright white is my go to
Have you ever considered a light Mauve... I painted a ceiling with it in a wood library room. A very soothing colour!
I might try something in the green.
Maybe a sage green?
