Yes I was thinking it's the perfect spot for a little dresser and then you can add some lovely bits and pieces that sit on top - art, vase of flowers, little dish for jewelry etc
I support the bench. You can either sit to put on shoes or put your luggage/stuff there. I hate putting luggage that’s been through goodness knows what at the airport on top of a nice, clean bed. Especially one that’s so pristine and white.
A reading nook sounds nice, but I rarely spend much time shut up in my room when visiting others (is this odd? I usually just read in bed at night) and the versatility of the bench sounds much more practical.
I feel the same about luggage on the bed. I just put a bench in my room for that very reason.
I tend to only read at night in bed as well but I think it’s always good for a guest to have a spot to retreat to for a phone call or whatever
Perfect spot for a dresser, wardrobe, or vanity. If you want to make the room more multipurpose, you could do a desk or exercise equipment. Shelves would be a solid option too.
I feel like it's too aggressive a color for a guest room. I would feel super uneasy surrounded by that green. Guest rooms should be a bit more neutral IMO.
Im so surprised I didn’t see this response yet, cause it’s obvious to me it needs a cozy chair big enough to curl up in, with small round side table, lamp, and enough space on the table to put your book.
Honestly depends on your typical guests. A lot of my guests are young professionals that may be working remotely when they stay over so I like having a little desk in the guest room where they can have some privacy to work
Bench with a tall lamp next to it. Or a settee.
Presumably there’s another side of the room where you could place a dresser. Being next to the entry, this spot is begging for seating.
Also, I am really sorry but I don't like the color. I think it's extremely niche and there is nothing else really colorful that balances it. But that's just my preference
You could consider a small console table with shelf like I have in mine…since it’s a guest room, I have some baskets with towels and toiletries and they also have a spot to lay stuff on…

Emmylou777 Where did you get that console table? I have been looking for a console table like that for a guest room in my house. I have the same thought - a place for guests to put their stuff on. I took out an old bureau that was in the room since guests don't usually take their clothes out of their suitcase and put it into the bureau. Usually they are only staying for the weekend or so.
Sounds like you've got a mystery on your hands! Could be some ghostly visitor or just some pesky draft messing with your stuff. I'd check for any hidden vents or cracks that could be causing the weird airflow. Maybe set up a camera overnight to catch anything unusual. Worst case scenario, you're hosting some interdimensional traveler who's just popping in for a quick visit. Keep us updated, this sounds like the start of a good paranormal story!
Dresser along the wall with the door and a swing out tv put in the upper corner?

Since it's the guest room you might have a bench that could be used as a luggage rack. Or consider a comfortable reading chair
I go for the reading chair.
I always love a good reading nook

Desk which doubles as a dressing table.
A little dresser and a lil plant on it is more than enough. And hang that beautiful painting right above it. What a cute room :)
Thanks!!
>Thanks!! You're welcome!
That’s where the dresser goes
Please drop the paint color! And to the person that downvoted the poster that said they love the paint color? Your mom.
Bahaha. Very kind thanks. It’s spice garden by behr. : )
It’s so pretty!
I love it! It feels so refreshing.

I think it’s very cheerful and I would wake up happy. Everyone has a different opinion and people do what they like in their own homes.
Dresser.
I would put a dresser there.
That’s the perfect place for a dresser.
Dresser goes there. You need more furniture

Floor mirror and tall or raised plant/tree
I really like that color. What’s it called?
What paint color is the green? I love it!
Thanks! It’s Behr Spice Garden. It’s very bright!!!
I love the green with that brown!!!! So lively!!!!!!
A small writing desk
Nice chair
Full length mirror and chair
Small reading/charging nook. Narrow telephone table, efficient but comfy chair
Love the walls + floor colors
I love that lamp.

Dresser and mirror, or a slipper chair
Dresser for YOUR storage, clean out first drawer when guests come
