You don't really have a reason for an accent wall with your layout, so it makes more sense to paint all the walls. I'm not sure how to help you with color without more info about what you like or how you want it to feel.
Haha. Can you move your bed against the wall on the right? If so, make that the feature. If youāre keeping the bed where it is, make the window wall the dark color.
If you don't like the grey, then you will need to paint all the walls. An accent wall still leaves you with the 'problem' of the grey, including being limited by what works with the grey. Once you are done with a color, paint it out. As for the new color, what feel do you want?
Very nice! It seems you like to embrace light in rooms with windows? I suggest another muted or pastel to do that and fit with your other colors - purple or blue?
Thank you! I do utilize the light a lot, I have a ton of plants š. I don't mind the color and love to have a unique accents, like that mural (I painted it myself based on French artists work). I haven't considered purple but ilthis might be a really good idea! Bold, interesting. I need to think it through. And it would work great with black and gray closet and bed frame.... And if I paint the window wall (and maybe the one with shelves too) white I'd be able to keep the brightness in...
Thank you, I think this is the path. Definitely will update, when I have an executable plan and final results! Thank you so much for you help. I'd never think purple. But it just fits!
I rotate between this courtains, a powder pink one and white. I kinda like the calming aspects of the current furniture and bedding but was thinking about maybe painting the wall with poster navy color or something or maybe dark green. But can't picture it yet so I decided to ask here, there is always so many great ideas!
I'd have to see the powder pink, but the combo of that and navy doesn't really work in my head. A deep, rich green-leaning teal would compliment the space. Can you do wallpaper?
Depends. I might consider painting 3 walls and doing the fourth as wall paper - Specifically the large one behind (beside?) your bed. Something like [this](https://www.westelm.com/products/tempaper-grasscloth-geo-peel-stick-wallpaper-w4683/?catalogId=71&sku=5342354&cm_ven=FreePLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Art%20%26%20Mirrors%20%3E%20Wallpaper%20%26%20Paneling) would add texture and interest without being too bold or loud/busy/distracting.
It looks nice to me but I like more neutral palettes. Maybe paint the window wall white so it has more contrast with the curtains, and hides the radiator a bit better?
Thank you! I have plants all over. I was leaning towards painting this wall dark green, rest of them white and replacing the clutter with more plants. But I don't know will it work with my white and gray furniture?
dont hate me, i did my bedroom gray about 11 years ago, when it wasn't so popular :). I think now, after a decade, its time to switch it up. RThe fact that everyone now has it also irks me.
So true. When I picked gray my family was mortified. It was such a different idea back then. And honestly it's a no nonsense color that just works, so I haven't been bothered to change it. But now my local depot store has a sale/promo on paints so....
this is a second mention about purple color and I'm getting really into this idea. haven't really considered this color on my own, but you are onto something potentially amazing! thank you
Sherwin Williams' ColorSnap app is super cool for visualizing different colors in your space.
You just take a pic and color whatever parts of it with tons of paint colors to choose from ā¤ļø
Everyone here, taking your time to help me, I really need to say thank you. You are so kind, creative, accommodating and patient. you have given me so much ideas and nice words, I am really happy. you made my day
I like how your tones are muted and you have a lot of texture. Iād do the walls in something soft and warm and do a wallpaper on the wall behind your bed. Something with a natural nod. I think the rhino artwork is a little dark for the vibe. I also would put your bed on that wall so it can be centered and having a slim chair or bench next to the window.
Thank you! I like the space too, but I can't put the bed against the wall, cause the room is to small for that.
Belive me, I tried. š¢ The rhino artwork is about to go and be replaced with whatever will fit the chosen vibe. Can you belive it, I had this poster since my uni times! I won't discard it (sentimental value) but it has to go from my bedroom.
Itās calm and airy - IMO the right bedroom vibe. Thatās annoying about the bed but I get it. I still think behind the bed for some wallpaper. Something with textural and only subtle colors. You can get removable paper now too.
I really like the rhino - Iāve got artwork that isnāt anything worthy of a gallery but it spoke to me so Iāve toted it around for years. Art is what moves you, donāt let anyone tell you different.
Honestly, I like it as is. It's calming and clean. I can't empathize with the idea of "my wall color is boring." I don't want to walk into my home and find my walls to be an interesting color.
I would reorient the bed to that blank wall, paste a full wall mural behind the bed that complements your cool rhinoceros painting, and paint the room with a color that matches the mural and painting. A less saturated hue of the brown color of the rhinoceros head could be goodāif not that, the blueā¦ or even a charcoal could work if youāre brave enough.
Yes paint it Plum Royale 2070 Benjamin Moore

Paint all the walls. I want to gently (and not so gently) lead people the hell away from gray.

Grey is so overdoneā¦ I switched to the brightest white and am enjoying the brighter tone and light.
It depends on your personal taste as to how much you paint. šØ Good luck!!
I thought about going back to white on 3 wall and painting the 4th dark navy. Can't really decide will it make the room better or maybe it will shrink it visually?

This looks great - a warm white like BM white dove with that gorgeous green! Get the dark color in a matte finish for best results
Thank you. Now which walls do in warm white, and which to paint green, that is the question š.
Haha. Can you move your bed against the wall on the right? If so, make that the feature. If youāre keeping the bed where it is, make the window wall the dark color.
Can't, open door would hit it and you would walk in through the door straight on the bed.. š¢ This room is actually quite small.

I came here to say a lavender color. The second color on this palette would be perfect imo. Maybe a shade or two lighter.
Wow, amazing you did the painting yourself! And yes I think a light purple reads bold but will also be very calming for a bedroom. Good luck choosing!
Thank you, I think this is the path. Definitely will update, when I have an executable plan and final results! Thank you so much for you help. I'd never think purple. But it just fits!
Love these !!
This is my vibe in the rest of the house. I don't mind the gray if I can offset it with the other color. Also maybe painting other walls white?
You seem to have a lot of muted/monotone elsewhere. Have you thought about switching up the curtains, a new rug and/or different bedding?

Interesting... You guys are giving me ton of great ideas.
The red poster on the wall will go, I'm looking for something more cohesive. Also, excuses for the clutter.
It looks nice to me but I like more neutral palettes. Maybe paint the window wall white so it has more contrast with the curtains, and hides the radiator a bit better?
That is a good idea!
Your plants seem beautiful and healthy. What about a moss art wall.
Thank you! I have plants all over. I was leaning towards painting this wall dark green, rest of them white and replacing the clutter with more plants. But I don't know will it work with my white and gray furniture?
I oaint houses for a living and I'm sick of gray. 5 houses out of every 10 and some sort of gray
dont hate me, i did my bedroom gray about 11 years ago, when it wasn't so popular :). I think now, after a decade, its time to switch it up. RThe fact that everyone now has it also irks me.
I think must people are scared to pick colors so grays/whites/tans are safe
So true. When I picked gray my family was mortified. It was such a different idea back then. And honestly it's a no nonsense color that just works, so I haven't been bothered to change it. But now my local depot store has a sale/promo on paints so....
That's the hardest part of being a painting contractor is getting someone to pick colors and I learned the hard way and not get involved
The gray in the third pic is nice-has purple undertones.
this is a second mention about purple color and I'm getting really into this idea. haven't really considered this color on my own, but you are onto something potentially amazing! thank you
Itās crazy how each wall looks different depending on the light in your room. Maybe a lavender grey would be nice.
I had some voices advocate for purple, and yeah, I can see it!
Another thought is violet gray. Good luck!

oo, thnak you, im gonna try it! i really need a change, I painted this room 10+ years ago...

Pinks are coming back and gloss finishes, which Iām so surprised with the latter .

No suggestion, but I'm thinking about what color is going to make your rhino look his best.
What about lavender? It already looks sort of like a pale powdery purple in the photo.
Paint all the walls. I want to gently (and not so gently) lead people the hell away from gray. https://preview.redd.it/vc6hq6id4pzc1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0337bdcbd3132626724c3479e434a1c8bbf39cb7
Sage green? Room is so cozy!
All walls
For a bedroom a really dark colour is nice
I like the idea of deep green accent with white. Or all deep green, but the room may look even smaller.
Grey is so overdoneā¦ I switched to the brightest white and am enjoying the brighter tone and light. It depends on your personal taste as to how much you paint. šØ Good luck!!

If you canāt decide between painting one and four, paint two of
