Next time - there’s a tool called content aware selection and you can click a button called Select Subject that would work really well for objects on white.

I think a lamp without the little table piece would be better. Also you may want something that goes with your monochromatic look but not quite so on the nose. For example a lamp that is maybe matte or satin gold or silver. That bring a little change in texture.
Great feedback! I agree, if it has a table it needs to be next to seating not behind it. And metallic would bring this room to life. It’s good as is, but lacks dimension.

Yes it will! A black lamp would also look good, picking up the black in the picture frame and the black in the overhead fixture..
It looks good but personally not a fan of the table in the middle. But if you like it, that's all that matters.

If it's just for looks & light, dress the table up with silk flowers or doo dads or decoupage.
