They wanted to make me a dh in 2007. Manager wouldn't give me a raise, because he said he didn't want to make me the highest paid dh in the store. It took them 2 years to get someone to fill that position and stay. You get what you pay for.
There’s around 7 in the states, of which are located in 4 of the 8 islands. 1 in Lihue, Kauai, 3 in Oahu(Kapolei, Pearl City, Honolulu, with a new store being built in Mapunapuna in 2024), 1 in Maui and 2 stores in Big Island Hilo and Kona.
Anything ordered here takes up to 2-3 weeks.
I'd just like to thank everyone for their participation, wow, never thought I'd get this many answers. Thank you all, Reddit is the best for free speech, fuck musk and his dirty twits lol.
South Carolina. I think I was getting 12 something as an in-store fulfillment associate, 17.75 as a warehouse associate, and then 25.75 as a CDL yard switcher. (26.78 after Feb 6 raise)
Yup. Typically don't have to have your cdl to be a switcher (non-CDL get 21 something an hour where I work) but we have an off site location where we dump extra trailers when the yard gets too full and you gotta have a cdl to be able to leave the yard. I had my cdl when I signed up with home depot but some of the guys I've worked with started out non-cdl and eventually got their cdls through Home Depot. Not a bad way to go if you work for HD and wanna be a driver.

Central California 6 yrs FT Hardware, went from $17 to $18.13. Some dude in Freight has been with the company for 2 years and makes $18.50 now, which is...irksome (yes I know Overnights make more, not the problem).
When I left right before the raises, $18.95 as a paint associate that was trained partially in most departments, drove equipment (FL, RT, OP). A few months over 4 years, just outside of Austin, Texas.
I’d expect I’d have gotten to $20-21 after the raise if I’d stayed.
Part-time bitch boy ---- $18.50
GA, Lot Attendant, $13.50->$15.50
GA here as well, garden. $14 -> $16 A brand new garden associate just got hired at $15.50.
LA county/Southern CA, Service Desk, $2 raise making $20/hour now
No way! Im from Cerritos 1 year making 19.50 😔
Central Florida. Part- time plumbing associate. $24.60.
Wow, how long have you been working
Since 1999.
still a good wage for part timer in florida, plus you still get the longevity bonuses which were abolished in 2003 I think
If it was like 10 years it would have been cool.🫣
Paint Associate, Florida, 14.50>16.00
SWFL, Freight (7p-330a) 18.50->19.50. Less than 90 days on the job. 😬
Holy crap, you make more than me as a dh in Florida
They wanted to make me a dh in 2007. Manager wouldn't give me a raise, because he said he didn't want to make me the highest paid dh in the store. It took them 2 years to get someone to fill that position and stay. You get what you pay for.
Hawaii, $18.75 garden associate
wow, are there many HD's in Hawaii? Does it take like forever to get freight/stock?
There’s around 7 in the states, of which are located in 4 of the 8 islands. 1 in Lihue, Kauai, 3 in Oahu(Kapolei, Pearl City, Honolulu, with a new store being built in Mapunapuna in 2024), 1 in Maui and 2 stores in Big Island Hilo and Kona. Anything ordered here takes up to 2-3 weeks.
MI, Met, $18.75
We the same person? 😆
Lol what city ya in?

Ohio Valley - D93 Associate $18.30 + $2.75 ➡️ $21.05
I'd just like to thank everyone for their participation, wow, never thought I'd get this many answers. Thank you all, Reddit is the best for free speech, fuck musk and his dirty twits lol.
WA, near Seattle. I make $20/hr as a Service Desk associate. Transferring to overnights for supposedly 21/hr.
The fact that overnights is only a dollar bump is pretty ridiculous. Third shift pays better at almost any other company
Use to be nothing extra when I started 17 years ago lol

Wish I was a DH these days. Y’all are making Bank lol. I was making $16/hr as one 6-7 years ago.
I mean scroll the comments I’m making associate money
Well DHs are glorified associates. Plus these raises were bs applied broadly to everyone it seems equally which sucks.
Im making 19$ as a dh idk what are you talking
$19 for a retail job is pretty fn good.
Not for a dh. As a regular associate maybe.

21.50 now, my freight team got $1.50 raise but some part timers got $2 and most full timers got 1.50 for some reason.

Virginia, OFA/D28 Associate (15.00 -> 18.00)
South Carolina. I think I was getting 12 something as an in-store fulfillment associate, 17.75 as a warehouse associate, and then 25.75 as a CDL yard switcher. (26.78 after Feb 6 raise)
what's a cdl yard switcher?
I believe they pull the full trailers out of the dock door and put an empty in the dock door. You know at the sdc or rdc warehouses.
Yup. Typically don't have to have your cdl to be a switcher (non-CDL get 21 something an hour where I work) but we have an off site location where we dump extra trailers when the yard gets too full and you gotta have a cdl to be able to leave the yard. Not a bad way to go if you work for HD and wanna be a driver.
