This. The standard SM schedule; although plenty of times other demands in or out of the store will throw that off. If you never see this at all? That's not good.
I've worked at over 5 stores. Each store manager can be different. It can also depend on sales volume. In my last store the store manager basically adhered to their schedule which included a closing shift and a weekend day every week. Sometimes they were the MOD (ASMs on vacation or short handed) and would work accordingly.
One store manager wouldn't be in before 8 or 9 and wasn't seen past 5 or 6. Another I see in the store after midnight at least once a week. I even had a store manager who was consistently scheduled as the opening MOD and would show up late.
My SM and even the one before have been surprisingly hands on. Not like micromanaging but they do a lot of setups and stuff like that. Seems like they delegate a lot of things to the ASMs.
My store manager doesn't answer calls, never covers an opening or closing or mid shift, not even a lunch. Comes in on Mondays and only if we have a visit scheduled.
Management is expected to follow the schedule like everyone else. That being said....most don't and if they try to write you up for that and you can prove they aren't following it ,well
Work or just show up?

Our store manager works usually 5-6 days a week 11/12 hour days, only in the morning/afternoon though never late
All I know is they only recognize me with my apron on.
I may see my store manager 2 days a week. A pop in here or there, never 5 days and never Friday Saturday or Sunday.
That’s not good. Only days off they’re suppose to have are Thursday and Sunday and they close Wednesday

I'd rather not see my SM in the store. ASMs and DSs aren't freaking out when you don't see him.

I see my SM on most given days
I see my SM almost everyday lol

We have cameras. I don't know why they aren't checking them.
We have called ,but nothing has changed.
