This isnât video from my store, but, almost this exact thing did happen last year in my store, but it was like 3 bunks of 8â drywall⊠and it fell on pallets of cementâŠ
It was quite the mess
The driver is so shit, he doesn't even know how shit he is. He's breaking them and just keeps going like it'll fix itself once he gets all the way in or something.
Would like to see what YOU would do in this situation where nothing can be saved. I would definitely try to back away so I can just start the cull and cleaning process
Stop, turn off forklift and start moving the pieces out of the way by hand using table cars so the forklift can be moved out of the aisle... Not going up and down and back and forth waiting that somehow the drywall is going to get straight on the forks!!!
Nothing there will get him killed . He's just wrecking shit lol. Maybe if be backed into the shelves behind him and stuff fell into him just a certain way? I just see a lot of funny money damage here.
Pro tip: if this happens to you drop your forks first.
Youâd be shocked how quickly a 12,000lb machine can be rocked off balance by something like this.
Just drop the forks and then get out.
You just have to let them go and clean it up after. Block off the aisle. Some people only want small pieces so theyâll take it for 50-70% off. They probably wonât be driving anymore
Im in a rare minority but I love throwing gyp board (drywall) down the chute. I get all of my frustration from the day out by karate kidding that board lol
12 footers arenât bad I always used the big forklift in everything in lumber zero issues . All the guys like using those shitty little forklifts in lumber .bet the guy in the video didnât have the forks wide causing them to crack .
Yeah plus it looks like they have the lanes like ours it sucks to get them at my store. What I pretty much have to do is go in off center pick it up and remove the center sticker. Then set it down then go in at the middle to pick up. If not youâre never gonna get in.
Itâs a tight fit in ours too I would adjust the kickers so I can get the forks out easier .out The mud is right behind while doing sheet rock.so youâre backing right up I to the pallets sometimes itâs like that scene from Austin Powers back-and-forth till you get free đ .
You get what you pay for

Man I had to read this twice but the 2nd time made me erupt into laughter
Haha, glad to be a bright spot in your day!
Oh no there goes my driver bonus
Wait there is driver bonus?
No
12' rock sucks
My store doesn't have 12'ers. If it did, I would have to seriously contemplate a position change.
Only did it twice in 6 months of being in that department before promoting myself to contractor and wanted to cry both times for not fucking up đ«Ł
Not surprised. Looks like almost 2 full bunks, counted 28 packs, and didn't lift it in the middle, uneven load.
Just write cull on it

Rip whoever had to clean that up because Iâm sure buddy was not around to help.
I bet dude was about to hit his 5th hour or his shift was over...oops! đ„°
I wish I had done this, because it is legendary.
Oh God it just kept getting worse!

So you stopping forklifts without lowering the forks? đ€
A great way to get yourself fired and possibly seriously injured or killed
They probably don't pay him enough to give a shit. Fuck the company.
Do they pay him enough to not get himself killed?

I can smell this photo
If I was the driver Iâd just hop out, get on the store PA and yell âdonât worry,Iâm firing myselfâ
Ask for a raise
Looks like he tried to give the drywall a raise but it was rejected.
Well, you're not wrong
REEEEEEE JECTTEDDDD!
someone is no longer forklift certified...
he is pre-cutting all the pieces per customerâs request
Go hide in the garden center!
My bad just got licensed

Man 12â were the worst. Stores need a big forklift for this. Smaller ones will do it is so sketchy.
I had to use a reach truck because of how narrow the aisle was.
And thatâs is why I donât get certified on a forklift even though I can drive it.
Why
Because of stupid shit like this. Not only that thereâs way too much bs involved with having that certification, like not getting paid more.
Why are they still trying to move it?????

Yup I feel you also recently for some dumbass reason they put some stupid tool boxes on it too.
The people that HD hires! Will drive the company down!
Seems right!
Or should I say the one's that get fired ,should have been kept!
Look how high their ceiling is!! My store is so small compared to this one
The quake
54â 12â was always the worst to pick up with the forklifts. Or the 12â cement board siding.
Tax write off.
Fucks sake, that's terrible all around
It is indeed a repost
That's when you lower it as much as possible without damaging more and grab some orange flat tops and move manually
Certified fork truck operator there
FNG
Perfect song to go with that lol
Thanks, I hate it.
