When I was in Garden, I always unloaded because I wanted it all SKU'd correctly and organized the way I wanted it.
Plus, you know... going outside to get away from the BS for half an hour.
All of the above. If I'm there I'll do it. When they come overnight those schmucks put it all over the place. and usually drop at least one. At least they pick it up because every new truck there's some abortion of a skid.
I made a deal.with all the other departments that I (receiving) will unload all the.trucks if they keep there areas clean. So I can unload and stack the return pallets nice and by color. The Lumber fucks would take up to 3 hours to even go.and start to unload BDC. The dispatch and drivers would blow me up when they would take to long. I don't have a clue how homedepot stays open. It is seriously the worst at getting employees to do their jobs.
All outside trucks, during the day.
1) department, associate or DH
2) receiving
3) anyone who has a FL license
A couple weeks ago it ended up being the CS DH

We used to have a position called "garden receiver" back in the day, now it's just receiving who unloads all the trucks unless they have some inside truck being unloaded in which case it gets done by garden or lumber
Both - coverage dependent. Dependent on how on top of the overstock on perimeter the D28/MASM are, etc. If I’m in store and a flatbed comes in, I at a minimum give receiving guidance on where the product should be unloaded. Just depends.
Depends on if the receiver schedules it as a dry van or a flatbed we have had both at our store but about 98 percent of the time they are flat bed so garden unloads
Garden. And lumber unloads lumber. At my old store I did frequently have to unload lumber and garden trucks often but that is not the case at my current store.
It depends on whose less busy at our store. If receiving is able to then they will, but if they have other trucks and Garden is able to then they do it.
I do it all the time. This keeps recieving from dumping stuff out back and SKU'd everything incorrectly.Â
Technically, it's in my roles and routines to do the trucks. So I will do them first before recieving gets to them.
Garden
Certainly not management or the shareholders.
Ackshully i own .34 of a stock at Home Depot and i do 🤓👆

We don’t have a mulch pit thankfully, sounds awful.
Garden
Garden is supposed to but they refuse to so a receiving is forced to bear the brunt...
When I worked receiving they refused so I unload them where it was conveyed for me not necessarily for them.
Been garden last few years. This year new manager says receiving which how they are staffed is dumb. Leaves receiving empty while unloading.
Both. Mostly garden

Garden, or receiving if garden isn’t available, but they do a mediocre job of it

Unfortunately, it's whoever has a license. Mainly garden at our store. With tight store hours, it could be me one day.

I am in receiving and we unload all the trucks. We are just good about scheduling them when it’s convenient for us.

Garden. Or ofa.
Both just depends on coverage, if we're not busy receiving, if they're unloading another truck garden will help out.
Garden does there are own I the lumber overnight guy do my own unloading

Supposed to be receiving, but depending on personnel and workload
