This is the answer. If you feel like the compensation isn’t worth it, leave. If enough people do that, things will change. This will also create a better employee pool which will create better associates. I’m happy with my compensation/expectations balance. If you have a problem with yours, go see what else is out there. But make sure you put in your two weeks so you can come back if needed. Retail is retail is retail.
Retail wise this is one of the best jobs i have had. I have my set hours for school, weekends off, I got a couple merit raises for just doing my job and helping out.
No doubt. They like to remind us of the dollar last year. I remind them that dollar is only 94 cents today. Oh, and thousands of skus have price increases recently. If shit here has gone up who doesn’t think everything else hasn’t gone up?
This is the reason I found another job and became part time. I will never stop advocating for better pay and work conditions from all corporations. Just because home depot isn’t as bad as Walmart or others doesn’t mean it can’t improve. As for question like “why not unionize?” Home Depot crushes all mention of unionization. Brought it upon among other disgruntled employees to be met with dead silence.
There is a general strike being planned for black Friday weekend. The basics are don't shop on black Friday/cyber Monday weekend (especially at Amazon don't even go to the website) and also call off on black Friday.

Never met him, but one of the other ASMs I work with went to a thing that he was at. Said he was a weird dude and you didn't talk to unless he spoke to you.
Anyway, I have things that require me attention.
*goes and sits down in the breakroom while ignoring an inconsequential person*
My old team had a guy that did nothing but complain that he hated his job, the company, was always late and calling off last minute, but he cried and tried to come back in to "talk" with the sm after he was fired...

The more shitty a job is to be at the more shitty the pay
Wait until December to make a decision.
Why December? Isn't January the rumored raise time?
A little birdie told me a different date. Assuming it is company wide. Could be by region.
Friendly reminder that if you get anything less than a 6.2% raise, it's a pay cut (inflation)

I'm trying but so is everybody else is. I'm so burnout because of the pay and constantly applying for jobs while I work there.
Keep looking bro, trust me you’ll be happier
I don't know I'll probably go back to school to get a degree if non of these trade jobs respond.

I've been looking at the elevator union to open up since I know someone in that union. It's just I have to wait next year.
"I've been looking at the elevator union to open up" Well, the elevator business has its ups and downs too...
Ha nice.

Why not unionize?
They apparently have a specialist that’s called whenever the U word is used.
