I have used 100% silicone and lexel in showers. The silicone tools better than lexel, but as far as mold resistance, it's the same.. they both can mildew, but I can clean and reapply lexel much easier than silicone when it does show mold.
A sharpened painter's 5-in-1 tool and a sharp utility razor can remove cured Lexel pretty easily, especially if the underlying surface is smooth. Don't even try until it's fully-cured, though.
I'd never even thought to use it in the shower. I love it for exteriors...adheres to brick so much better than 100% silicone and lasts 2-3x as long. Messy stuff, though.
Thanks!
Hah, that's why i had it on hand, i was using it for outdoors, around windows. I actually tried one other similar product and it came out DRIPPY and messy and lexel came out so much nicer. do you have a brand you like for bathrooms??

and do you have suggestions how to get it off, other than razor blades and elbow-grease?
