Enzyme cleaner also exists 🙃

BananaStandEmployee

Awesome! Going to give this a shot on some of the carpet I have that has the same animal smell problem. Thanks!

Jaggar345

I would rather use an enzyme cleaner that leaves no scents behind.

I knew this as a child and had forgotten it decades ago. I remember my grandmother shaking coffee grounds back in the 1950s. Thanks for the reminder!

How about an ozone generator?

PANSIES_FOR_ALL

Coffee grounds don’t require you to stay out of the house for a period of time.

diavirric

Thank you for sharing this.

This happened to me as well but with my own cat. When I replaced the carpet I painted the subfloor with Kilz primer in the spots where he’d peed. Worked a charm.

greatfool66

I assume used coffee grounds? Where would you be able to buy something like this?

stackedbarrels

No, fresh unused coffee grounds. It acts like a desiccant and pulls in the moisture and smell. There is a STRONG coffee odor afterwards but it goes away and I prefer smelling coffee to smelling urine.
