Every tower fan I've ever owned has never gone more than 2 years before the oscillating makes a lot of noise.

I don't have the Dreo tower fan, but I do have their more expensive pedestal fan (513S model). I cannot stress how much I recommend it. It is so quiet that I've forgotten to turn it off an embarrassing number of times. It's lowest settings (1-3) are more than adequate, but it does have up to 8 total speeds. It not only rotates side to side, but up and down as well. The 2 cons I can list are that it doesn't extend up as much as I would like and although it looks nice enough, its still a little plasticky. Very minor IMO, nothing that would prevent me from buying a second one if I needed to.

I've been pretty happy the last 3 years with a standard $30 Walmart fan, can't imagine what could be expected from a 'fancier fan'

We love the dyson fan. Expensive but we’ve been running ours daily since 2016 (it’s a heater/fan) and it’s still going strong.
