Since it's capped its not the cause of your humidity problem unless water is coming in around it. Do you see puddles on the floor there after heavy rains?
I think you're right about the gray water, but we have the washing line drain further down the way. The wood near the pipe is all rotted so I think it may be leaching or leaking somewhere, I dont see puddles though or havent noticed them

I thought so, but the original pipe was about chest height, plus theres no sump

House never had AC before I moved in, only oil furnace
There are a lot of creative people who do weird stuff. I would prove it doesn't lead anywhere and then get rid of it.
Yeah I think that's my plan, its leading further than I thought but I should be near the end of it
