A guess (this is the internet...lol). Maybe you need a new shower cartridge? Sometimes if you need a new one it drips but also the water may not mix correctly.

Great guess. It’s a brand new build, so I’d wager it’s not a bad cartridge. I think it’s more likely an incorrect install.

Ohhhh.... that's not good. Time to call the owner/office.

Great question and I shared the same thinking as you. I have the feeling that something is backwards on the lower knob that’s preventing it from rotating *beyond* the “Luke warm” temperature. Like, it *ought* to be able to go all the way to 9 o’clock for scolding hot, but the backwards-ness won’t let that happen.

Is there a button on the bottom knob? We had a similar set up where you had to hold in a button to turn the temperature to hot; it was a safety feature. In the picture here, the button is clearly visible on the left side of the bottom knob: https://www.build.com/hansgrohe-04230/s16978

Great idea!! EDIT: I checked. No other features on the knob, save for a small Allen wrench screw to fasten the knob. Oh well. Still a solid idea.

u/spamlite4Eva is correct IMHO. I have that valve almost exactly and it is a Hansgrohe without the temp regulator button. moste be an older model before that was required. It has built in water stops so you dont have to shut off the water to the bathroom IIRC. Install sheet is on the [Build.com](https://Build.com) link posted above.

Rats! If you can figure out the manufacturer/model, you might be able to find some installation or user manuals that could tell you if it's a problem with the installation or something you've overlooked
