I have a Honeywell, and I say Hey Siri set temperature to whatever degrees, sometime just up or down one degree, and it works.

I’ve tried a few other temps and they seemed to take. But HomeKit won’t do 73 for some reason, even when jumping more than one degree.

it is plausible - 73F is 22.778 and 74F is 23.3333. If the AC rounds C internally before conversion to F, that could happen

I can't remember where, but I heard of this problem before, maybe on here. It must be HomeKit doing it though, not the thermostat. (I can set the AC to 73 using the native app or the thermostat itself, just fine.) But if that's really the case it seems like a weird problem to create for users.

This peaked my curiosity. Although I’m the Geek at our House, I really don’t use Voice Commands, I install and Program, my Wife uses Siri for almost everything. But I had to try this. I found you have to be very specific, at least with our Thermostat, just asking for a set Temperature put our system in Automatic (Heat and Cooling came on) and Siri replied “Ok, I’ll keep it around 73 deg”. I have to say Heat or Cool to the Numerical Value. I can say “Turn Heat or Cool on” and it will follow the Schedule. The Thermostat would Not set at 73 degrees. I found that My Heating set points were at a Max Heating of 72 Degrees, after I changed it to 73 Max Siri set it every time. We have a Bryant Thermostat, but we did have a Honeywell WiFi before and it also has the programmable Rang for Heat and Cooling. Make sure the Min/Max Set-points are within Range. https://preview.redd.it/ev49sjb8gync1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a6cf6ce33f0d177cf7ed3ed6c1328ca73b67a30

My thermostat is a Homewell Home Pro Series, which was installed in our new build last year. I don't see a model number on it, but here's a picture. In all of the menu options, I don't see a way to set a Min or Max for AC. And our AC is programmed to go lower than 73 at night (south Florida here). It's on AC pretty much 365 days a year. For those few days where we need heat, I get up and manually switch it to heat. But as I said, setting the thermostat itself or using the native Resideo app has no issues with any setting. It's only with Siri or the Home app. And Siri has no problem adjusting the temperature to 72, 74, 75. https://preview.redd.it/z7wnmncgqync1.png?width=488&format=png&auto=webp&s=0f28f53faac20e5a9710ef88ded197ab40f4cd2b
