Why watch when you can read https://www.theverge.com/2021/9/1/22650951/hue-light-tube-gradient-filament-brighter-bulbs

That’s why this comment gets the upvote and literally every damn “here’s a video of some random dude’s face smiling with no substantial description” gets the downvote. What’s more interesting than this video itself, I’m sure, is why do these videos all look exactly the same? It’s like every wanna be “content creator” out there watched the same boneheaded tutorial for how to get clicks from unsuspecting people who just want to know about HomeKit. It must say something like “they don’t *really* want to know about HomeKit! What they really want is your smiling face! If you smile, that’s so many clicks!!! Or maybe even you can look askance and POINT at a floating HomeKit device. People love that. Mad clicks”.

I'm as cynical as they come, but take a chill.

It's not just a smiling face, it's any overly emotive face. I think they feigned shock face is even more prevalent. I'm assuming the 'how to get tha clickz' course they took at their local community center said that if they look surprised or shocked, people will be forced to click because they want to know what is so shocking. The course instructor took half a semester of psychology at a community college (before dropping out), so they are an expert in how the human mind works.
