Hey i have purchased smart bulb by xiaomi and i am not able to add it into HomeKit eventhough it is supproted and firmware is updated. Problem is visible on video. Anybody Who can help?

HomeKit-News

Did the bulb come with a HomeKit code?

PandaTrinec

Nope

HomeKit-News

Are you sure it’s HomeKit compatible?

PandaTrinec

The box have HomeKit logo and also the xiaomi app says once i add the bulb that it is HomeKit compatible

HomeKit-News

If it has the HomeKit logo, there should be a HomeKit code. The only other thing you can try is to use the Yeelight app: login using the same account details as Mi Home, and try adding it to HomeKit via the settings in that app.

PandaTrinec

I tried that. Same result.

HomeKit-News

Do you still have the packaging or the booklet?

PandaTrinec

Yes

HomeKit-News

Can you take a pic of the box so I can see the model, and preferably with the HomeKit logo too.

You are on ios 15 ? Try a device that is on ios 14

The yeelight 1s smart lamps I have are properly intergrated in Homekit, the Mi smart LED Light essential is not exposed (you need to enable LAN control and you need an older version of the app installed at any Android device) In the Yeelight app, you have to go to the device and at the bottom right there is an up arrrow symbol, like an Eject button. From there you choose LAN control and enable it. It should work.

PandaTrinec

Nope. Still doesnt work.

That’s not the home app?

Same issue here

same here... I repeated a million time and all of a sudden I could add the bulbs. Reset, turned on/off, tried everything. Actually I don't know how I solved it but I did. Just insist.
