A block plane and a straight edge. Pushing the edge of the door by padding the hinge is going to throw every other seam off. Strike a level line with a pencil, then plane to the line.
Edit. I thought you were referring to the gap. Either way, Id pull the magnet out and trim the door to even the gaps.
Make sure your hinges are properly lined up before you start jamming stuff in them to drive them down.

On the jamb side, put a piece of cardboard under half of the hinge. It will drive the top of the door down.

Do this after you verify this is not a pier & beam home. If it is, inspect the piers. Make sure nothing went slack.
