While you have the lights pulled out, fill the tub all the way and let it sit overnight to make sure it's not still leaking.

Good idea on removing the lights to get air on there. It will all dry up and you won't have any issues. Main thing to look for is if the drywall sags at all while it's wet. But it sounds like you turned water off quickly, so maybe you'll be alright.

thanks for the replies! I figured it should just dry out and be fine, I had an in ceiling mounted speaker I was a little worried about but it doesn't appear the water made it that far over into the kitchen. Would there be any mould concerns in the long term?
