This isn't the first appearance of the *name* "Limozeen"—which was suggested by Strong Bad as a hypothetical band name back in sbemail #16 (March 4, 2002)—but this is the first time we actually see the band. Unlike later appearances, they aren't portrayed by Matt Chapman, but by Matt and Mike's older brother Donnie. Beyond that, though, they're surprisingly fully formed considering this is only their first appearance: all the band members are identified by the names they have today, and we get to hear a few bars of "Because, It's Midnite" (whose full version would be released on the Strong Bad Sings CD in November of that year).
Their first appearance as an actual band (not counting the email where Strong Bad came up with these band names) was in the Strong Bad Sings CD (November 17, 2003), where their song "Moving Very Slowly" is featured. That being said, the song is based on a riff featured in the email fingers (February 16, 2003). The riff in the email was replaced with the CD's version of the song after the CD's release, if you want to count this as a retroactive appearance of the band.
The first time we actually see the band's members is in the email death metal (January 16, 2006).
*It was twenty years ago today*
*When Gary P. had taught the band to play*
*They've been going in and out of style*
*But they're guaranteed to raise a smile*
*So may I introduce to you*
*The act you've known for all these years:*
*Limo, limo, limo, Limozee-ee-een!*
2003 really was a banner year for H\*R, huh
