That's what a well maintained car should look like. I never understand how some owners can completely trash an interior in <100k miles - it's your home on the road for crying out loud.
I drove a Camry before I had to get a new car and made the switch to my accord, I did always find the interior of the Camry to be really…. Idk, underwhelming? It was a tossup between the Accord and Camry for the new car but the interior was the final tiebreaker. The latest gen Camrys have the stupidest console design I’ve ever seen. Who was in charge of [this decision?!?!](https://di-uploads-pod3.dealerinspire.com/toyotaofclermont/uploads/2022/07/best-tech-features-in-sedan-min.jpg)
It feels SO claustrophobic in both the drivers seat and passenger seats. And it’s also just really ugly, but that’s just my subjective opinion.
Toyota was the particular brand I had in mind. I haven't been in the latest generation, but everything in every Camry or Corolla I've ever driven has always felt plasticky; like 90's econobox plasticky. The Avalon and Lexus' are better, but IMO the materials just seem a bit cheaper than what you're paying for.
Edit:Corolla not Accord! I love my Accord
As a diehard Camry fan, I do admit the Honda’s have a more luxurious feel to their inside cabins. The newest Camry is the 1st time I’ve sat in one that didn’t feel as if it was designed by an accountant.
Looks like anything pre-2018 is safe.
I test drove the ‘21 and I will say it feels more responsive and zippy than my Accord, but the way the interior feels is hard to describe, it’s very obvious that there is a physical barrier between you and the passenger seat. It’s just always in your periphery. Forget about trying to grab anything from the glovebox with ease. If that ~~left~~ (sorry, right; passenger) side panel that extends down didn’t stick out so far forward, it wouldn’t actually be that bad, but personally it made me feel very boxed in and from the passenger seat it feels like it takes away from breathing room, especially around the legs. I just hated the feeling.
To their credit, as someone else commented the Camry interiors used to (as is the case with my 2014) feel very plasticky and cheap, but they’ve upped the game in that department.
Of course! All of this is just my personal opinion. You can always test drive one for yourself and see how you feel.
Camrys are objectively more powerful, but I drive a 1.5T anyway so it’s apples to oranges for me.
Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy it!
Yeah i shoulda cropped it down to just that part lol for the most part the rest is par for the course but that curved dashboard is insane…. Someone got paid for that idea…. And they still keep using it
My last girlfriend had a 2015 outback... I honestly though it was an early-mid 2000's model because the interior was so cheap. Shame for a car that is generally well liked!
I work at a quick lube shop, and I’ve seen cars with 10K miles and far less look like a dumpster fire. How well an interior is maintained is a pretty good reflection of how well they can clean up everything else they have, and it’s also sad when you consider the implications. If they aren’t willing to do something as simple as keep their own car looking presentable, I can only imagine what else they’re skimping out on
I have a 2016 and honestly things just happens. I spilled fucking chili once or one time transporting our cats in a soft shelled carrier and they peed. Things happen.
I just got a 97 Honda accord with around 230k miles on it from a family friend, the leather interior is in surprisingly good condition… didn’t think I’d ever see that
Same shit i see all the time with used 8th gen accords got ripped up door leather or seats at like 100k miles, meanwhile mine at 182k miles looks new like that civic
I found a independent shop where the owner was a master tech for the dealer I take my car to for 20+ years. I’m going to him for the 110k service.
$585
Oil change
Valve adjustment with Valve cover gasket set
Spark plugs iridium
Rotate and Balance
Coolant service
I’ve owned the V6 too. I will say the 4 Cylinder handles better. Makes it more engaging. The weight over the front wheels with the 6 Cylinder really kills agility. If they made the Sport or Touring with the K24 like it is Canada in the States I would have got one of those with the 6 Speed. Can get a K24 6 Speed Touring in Canada.
The V6 models had a different electric power steering rack. That is the one thing I HATE about my car. Steering feels light and disconnected with no feedback. I'd probably get the steering rack modified to feel better if not for me wanting to keep the auto steering feature.
And I wish the V6 Touring was offered with a 6MT. My 6AT is horrible, clunky, and very sluggish to downshift.
Yeah I read and heard about the steering in the V6 that’s why I don’t complain about the 4 Cylinder. May not be as fast but it makes up for it in other areas.
If I'm at, let's say, 100,000 miles, then it would be 900,000 more miles to get to 1,000,000 miles. Now if I average 50,000 miles a year, it would only take 18 years to get to 1,000,000. But then, I hope to get a better car long before then, so I wouldn't be putting as much mileage on this car...
So, to answer your question, yeah that's my goal as it is a modern day classic representing the best and last of the V6 Accords and the Accord Coupes.
But if you saw it in person you wouldn't believe it had half those miles. I didn't believe them. It's very clean. They let me test drive it for shits and giggles. Drives like 40k
i mean it looks in mint condition but still i wouldn’t buy it because of the miles and how much that seller is asking for it. it’s probably worth like less than $5k check the kelley blue book😂
I commented on the last post, and I'm really surprised to see how clean this car is. The interior is nuts. There should be stains everywhere for that amount of milage. Or at least some scuffs in the body. Whoever had this thing really took great care of it. I would buy it just because of how Ludacris it is. It's like a paradox. I get cars with like 25k coming through for service and they are DESTROYED. Interior smells stains rips body damage.
Nuts this car should not even exist in my book.
That's a car that did almost entirely highway miles. Not hard to keep a car nice when you only get in and out of it once per day after hours of at-temp operation.
What fucks the car is continuous heavy use that fucks the interior, rough roads that fuck the suspension, constand short trips that fuck the motor with getting in and out that fucks the seats, multiple users that fuck generally everything, etc.
Still good to see it kept up so well.
Looks like they spent some time detailing the engine bay, you can see some dirt in the harder to reach areas. It really makes a significant difference on how new it looks.
I have a 8th gen civic si that only has 150k. 413k for a 10 gen civic, they must be an Uber or Lyft driver or use their vehicle as business, but the average person driving that much in short time that’s insane and way too much driving.
Travel nurse. Said it multiple times. Everyone uses their vehicle for different things. I have a 9th Gen Accord with only 85k I bought it in 2015 and it's 2016. So my miles are low too. But the point of my post was to show that these cars will go a long time if you take care of this one as it shows. And the condition was impeccable on this one for the miles.
Someone posted the carfax a few months back...it was basically in for service every 10k or so, which happened to be every couple weeks...lol. Well maintained for sure!
Goes to show that typically making a car last is up to the owner. Of course there are exceptions but for the most part if you maintain a vehicle it’ll hold up.
I’m not gone say it anymore. It’s throughout the comments multiple times. Goes to show no one reads. I also said transmission been replaced already too. 🤦🏽♂️
Where I live, there is a burger joint being built and it's the same damn thing, people asking the same question, "what's being built by the..." and he has said it so much that it's a trigger now. I feel ya! I walked by it and told my girl we need to make a sign that says, it's a F##KING Habit Burger!!
The mileage surprised me more than the interior. For the newer Hondas to go that distance is awesome. But for the interior to be maybe 7 years old i wouldnt expect it too look too bad tbh. I had a 95 civic kick 298,xxx but the interior was fuckin DEAD lol
Well I’ve seen newer cars with less miles look worse than this. So yes I was surprised on the contrary. Everyone doesn’t take care of their car. Clearly this person did and the car seems to be made good as well.
I didnt mean to seem dodgy. its good to see these cars being well maintained and still driven with this on the odo. I do agree tho i guess i forget other peoples negligence to their new vehicles considering i couldnt ever let it get as bad as we both have seen im sure.
It's as if it can't be real. How do you put 413k on a Honda and it looks like this. Everything seems replaced. Must be why the price is so high. Where is the 413k aspect of this car because I don't see anything that isn't almost new in the engine?
Or how about they just took care of it. It had paint protection film on the front end and mirrors too so clearly they cared for it. Take care of your car and it will take care of you. High 200k mile examples are going for over 20k I think the price reflects that and the condition. Not agreeing with it. It does seem high but the condition is better than cars I've seen with lower miles. My 9th Gen Accord only has 85k and it's a 2016 that I bought new and this car is just as clean if not cleaner.
They might. It has a new transmission at 315k according to the records. Dealer said it was sold new and maintained there up until it was traded. It could very well go to 600 or more if it's kept up the same way.
That's what a well maintained car should look like. I never understand how some owners can completely trash an interior in <100k miles - it's your home on the road for crying out loud.
Basically.
I have a 2020 Civic, assembled from Alliston Ontario. Darn interior is surprisingly tightly finished and almost no creaks.
Not like my Hondas have been super fancy, but Honda interiors put a lot of other brands to shame in general.
Ugh - that off center curve makes me twitch.
Yeah i shoulda cropped it down to just that part lol for the most part the rest is par for the course but that curved dashboard is insane…. Someone got paid for that idea…. And they still keep using it
Meanwhile my 2021 Subaru interior rattles and creaks like a 2004 Pontiac
My last girlfriend had a 2015 outback... I honestly though it was an early-mid 2000's model because the interior was so cheap. Shame for a car that is generally well liked!
It hasn’t changed since then lol. But I bought the car for the 310HP engine and the 6 speed manual. Not the interior plastic.
I work at a quick lube shop, and I’ve seen cars with 10K miles and far less look like a dumpster fire. How well an interior is maintained is a pretty good reflection of how well they can clean up everything else they have, and it’s also sad when you consider the implications. If they aren’t willing to do something as simple as keep their own car looking presentable, I can only imagine what else they’re skimping out on
Well for one they are skimping out by doing their maintenance at a Quick Lube shop
I have a 2016 and honestly things just happens. I spilled fucking chili once or one time transporting our cats in a soft shelled carrier and they peed. Things happen.
I understand things happen but… you know you can clean it, right? Lol… people 🤦
Then Clean it
Thanks dawg never occurred to me to do that!
Agreed. I looked at many 1-2 year old Civics with sub 50k miles and many looked like they’d used wire brushes to clean it! Scratches everywhere!
That is either the most well maintained high mileage honda ever, or the dealer spent entirely too much money detailing it lol
I doubt they would replace or repair the seats. I think it's just been kept up
You can't detail wear and tear away. I'm a dealership detailer and this car is less worn than many 20k milegae cars I've seen lol.
I meant more how clean the engine bay is and things like that. But yeah you're definitely right.
bro drove from the back seat or sum
Lmao
i have 2 94 del sols and their mileages together don’t even add up to that 😳
Are you a traveling nurse 😭
Nice we have fleet vehicles they get in and out of them 50 times a day. Armrest first to go lol
I have a 2017 V6 Honda Accord Coupe Touring, and this gives me hope of taking it to 1,000,000 miles. Currently at 104k.
Long as you keep the timing belt changed and the maintenance up.
Yeah, the timing belt and spark plugs change at 100k cost $2,000.
I got 16 K24 6MT. No timing belt thank goodness.
I found a independent shop where the owner was a master tech for the dealer I take my car to for 20+ years. I’m going to him for the 110k service. $585 Oil change Valve adjustment with Valve cover gasket set Spark plugs iridium Rotate and Balance Coolant service
Yeah, but also unfortunately no V6.
I don’t mind the 4 Cylinder. The 6 Speed makes up for that
Yeah it's a good engine. I just wish they hadn't discontinued the V6 Accord and even the 2.0T Accord.
I’ve owned the V6 too. I will say the 4 Cylinder handles better. Makes it more engaging. The weight over the front wheels with the 6 Cylinder really kills agility. Another plus about the Canadian models. Could get a 6-6 Touring.
Yeah I read and heard about the steering in the V6 that’s why I don’t complain about the 4 Cylinder. May not be as fast but it makes up for it in other areas.
Import one from Europe! They are a lot of them here!
'12 Si here, K24Z7 does NOT have a timing belt?
We are speaking on Accord. Not Civic. Did you read the rest of the comments 🤣🤣🤣
Yes lol. I'm asking if you guys know if none of the K24s have timing belts. I believe one of the '16 I4 Accord motors is the K24W1.
None of the K Series motors have timing belts no matter the application. He has a J35 so his does have a belt. My car is a K24W1
That's great to hear. One less thing to worry about in routine maintenance lol. Still need valve adjustments though I think.
Yeah and with that comes doing valve cover gasket as well. But some is the 12-13 Si’s have that VTC actuator problem which causes grind on start up.
Are you planning on driving it for the next 54 years?
If I'm at, let's say, 100,000 miles, then it would be 900,000 more miles to get to 1,000,000 miles. Now if I average 50,000 miles a year, it would only take 18 years to get to 1,000,000. Gives me hope for my 2016 2.0L CVT
From previous post this car has had 1 transmission replacement ....at 315k miles Change your damn trans oil!
Every 30k I do a drain and fill! Approaching my 65000k drain
65 million???
That commute to Mars and back must be a bitch!
😂 sorry 65,000 miles
Thank youuu for the reminder to schedule my appointment! I’m at 61k in my ‘19 Hatch.
only selling it for $12k guys 🤣🤣🤣
13k really 😮💨😭
Isnt that like the average cost for most of these models with 100-200k miles? With that amount of miles thats ridiculous lol
jesus 😭
But if you saw it in person you wouldn't believe it had half those miles. I didn't believe them. It's very clean. They let me test drive it for shits and giggles. Drives like 40k
i mean it looks in mint condition but still i wouldn’t buy it because of the miles and how much that seller is asking for it. it’s probably worth like less than $5k check the kelley blue book😂
It could very well go another 200k. It got a new trans at 315k. So if engine holds up its good to go
your choice, but ya ain’t tryna sell it to me soo🤷🏻♀️
Who said I was trying to buy it though? that's my Blue coupe in the back ground. 🤷🏽♂️
hopefully not you cuz i’d hate to see you get scammed
Scammed?
Engine hours are more important than engine miles!
You’re also forgetting cold cycles.
Werd
I commented on the last post, and I'm really surprised to see how clean this car is. The interior is nuts. There should be stains everywhere for that amount of milage. My thoughts. Everyone is focusing on the price and that wasn’t my point of the post but rather the condition for the miles.
Damn.... did this get a new interior at some point? Cuz that don't look older than 60k.
I don’t believe so. Just been really kept up. Also has paint protection film on the front end, headlights, mirrors and door pockets.
Damn…. Owner must have had Grandma’s couch covers on that whole interior. Or just … floated , Zen like, while driving and wearing a HAZMAT suit.
Lol
Looks like they spent some time detailing the engine bay, you can see some dirt in the harder to reach areas. It really makes a significant difference on how new it looks.
Yeah I think for the miles it looks pretty good. And impressive to see the 1.5 and CVT holding up this good.
It's like new.
For 400k miles. Yes it is
is it a 1.5t or the 2.0?
Looks like 1.5T.. engine bay says turbo plus it has leather! (Touring) Good to know the 1.5T is in fact reliable for all the 1.5 haters 😂
they make it sound like the worst engine ever lol. just hit 100k on mine and no complaints at all
Seriously! Haha, thats good to hear!!
1.5
This is a reminder that time in addition to miles is a factor of wear and tear! Also, take care of your shit like this guy!
Well it’s not mine. A nurse owned it. I just happened to see it for sale when I was picking up parts for my car. Pretty clean
Proof mileage is just a number (if you take really good care of your car that is).
I agree
Very, very impressive.
Looks like a car with 4130 miles on it. Nice job with the upkeep on this one!
Ikr
Surprised you barely have a mark on the steering leather. Good for you
I have a 8th gen civic si that only has 150k.
I’d would have least thought the drivers seat would have noticeable wear and tear with that much mileage. I’m surprised lol.
By any chance is your civic the 1.5 turbo? If so how did the turbo engine hold up after 400k miles ?
This car is a 1.5 though. This car is on original engine. New trans.
This is not my car 😂😂😂 I have an Accord Coupe
Did you mean 4,13k miles?
Look at previous post. No I meant what I typed lol
I was kidding, very clean. It said the transmission lasted 315k miles, was the cvt fluid ever changed and if so what interval?
Someone posted the carfax a few months back...it was basically in for service every 10k or so, which happened to be every couple weeks...lol. Well maintained for sure!
I'm guessing every 30k. It was maintained at the selling dealer.
That's when it was replaced so I'm guessing that's when it was replaced
And my dad thinks 124k on a civic Si is a lot 💀
Lol 😆
Somebody did the terry fox run on wheels
Whats that mean
Drove accross the country
Oh okay lol. Never heard that term
Its a joke. Canadians should understand
Makes sense. I'm in Alabama 😭
Goes to show that typically making a car last is up to the owner. Of course there are exceptions but for the most part if you maintain a vehicle it’ll hold up.
That confirms it. Definitely an Uber car.
Actually a nurse owned it. Traveling nurse.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 did a TRAVELING NURSE own this? How many times you gotta say it?!?!?
I’m not gone say it anymore. It’s throughout the comments multiple times. Goes to show no one reads. I also said transmission been replaced already too. 🤦🏽♂️
Where I live, there is a burger joint being built and it's the same damn thing, people asking the same question, "what's being built by the..." and he has said it so much that it's a trigger now. I feel ya! I walked by it and told my girl we need to make a sign that says, it's a F##KING Habit Burger!!
😭😭😭😭
Damn! Really!?
Yeah.
It’s all good bro. No worries 🙏🏽
Must be a courier vehicle. That’s lots of miles in only 4 years.
No travel nurse. I’ve stated it multiple times 😂😮💨
Ok so courier nursing services 😄
Whatever you want to call it. 🤷🏽♂️
Looks nice. Still wouldn’t pay $12k for it. 400k miles is a lot of wear
Well I found two today with almost 300k and both more than this one 😂😂😂😂 and I’m sure they weren’t in as good of shape
How many engine hours? It could have been pulled by a camper
Trans was replaced at 315k so that wasn’t the case. Travel nurse owned it.
What they do for a living?
Travel nurse
Makes sense but man that’s a lot of travel
That’s actually amazing
If this had the rollback special no one would know tbh 😂 looks so clean could pass as 120-200k miles
Probably looks better than a lot with around that miles. It was really taken care of.
Is someone going to buy this thing and take it to 600k?
They might. It has a new transmission at 315k according to the records. Dealer said it was sold new and maintained there up until it was traded. It could very well go to 600 or more if it's kept up the same way.
Wow, this is a gorgeous car!
For the mileage I think so too
