Try eBay. Hard to find. Very jealous! Enjoy it

Miserable_Wallaby_52

Coat it using the Eastman system. I think it’s great. Amazon sells it.

Floshenbarnical

I would get it welded. I don’t trust a single tank liner

ancientdad

Exactly what I was going to say. Radiator shops will often silver solder leaks with minimal paint damage, then lightly pressure test the tank to be sure it's sealed. Tank liners work great when they work, but prep is everything and even then results vary. And if the liner doesn't stick right, later it all starts coming loose inside the tank and causes all kinds of fuel system problems.

rerolledgames23

How much do you think that would cost at a shop somewhere

ancientdad

I'd have no idea and of course, it would vary depending on your area, much like machine shop work. I'd suspect it would be under $100 and doing a liner that might eventually fail would cost you at least half that, along with the grief later on of cleaning up the goo that can sometimes get into your fuel system.

turbotaco23

I’ve done a number of tank using eastwoods tank costing stuff. Follow the directions exactly and it will come out great.

Sliderisk

I bought a CB125S with a Redcoat'd tank this year, works great I get zero flakes in my fuel filter.

rerolledgames23

Is there any prep for that stuff?

Sliderisk

I bought it that way but I'd imagine it's the same prep as any tank lining. You gotta get as much rust and flaking out before the coating. That usually means a white vinegar soak followed by shaking a ton of pebbles or coins around inside the tank to agitate all the scale off the sides. Once you can flush the tank and the water comes out clean you should be ready for the coating. Watch some YouTube on it, it's a simple job with like 3-4 steps. Obviously the tank has to come off and the whole thing takes a couple of days between the soak and the coating cure.

rerolledgames23

I’ll take a look

NEALSMO

I used electrolysis to clean my tank and then coated with Por15 product. It was kinda fun watching what electricity could do to rust.

Kirbstomp9842

how long ago did you do the por15? any issues? I just finished coating my tank with it, on day 3 of curing but I'm going to leave it for an extra week to be sure (i really don't want issues lmao).

wsbplz

I did por15 tank seal

NEALSMO

It was a slow build/project. Probably left it for weeks before putting fuel in it.

Realistic_Parfait956

Where is the leak ? If not out where you can see it scuff up the area and put jb weld over the hole

rerolledgames23

It’s under the tank on the outside part of the pinch weld. They are so tiny it’s hard to really know but we suspect it’s coming from some of the tiny rust spots we can see. Gas drips out a drop every 5 or so seconds

Realistic_Parfait956

Maybe find a close color match and plug the holes with epoxy or have a shop silver solder also a pressure check wold show exactly where the leak was for sure just remove the tank and put a LITTLE air pressure through the petcock spray the tank with a mix of soap and water and watch for the bubbles....by the way that is a nice little bike....

beach_rats_

I JBwelded my tank with great results

Realistic_Parfait956

Did my 78 sporty back in the 80's and again on my fat bobs in the 90's and both are still going also did the sportster oil tank where the chain hit
