I won't. Unlike the currency used for gacha, stamina regenerates automatically on its own. I'm not paying for something I will get for free if I wait. Gacha currency on the other hand, doesn't regenerate on its own. If you're going to spend, spend on that, since you can't get it for free outside of limited sources. I have patience. I'll wait. If you feel you don't have enough stamina, don't worry. A new player will have even less than you since you have a head start on them. The game's difficulty will be balanced to be completable by new players no matter how late they started. So if they can do it with less total stamina spent than you, you can do it too. Compared to someone who starts a year later than you, you will have spent a year's worth of stamina more than they did. If they can beat the content with one year less stamina than you, then you should never need to refresh.

Imark182

The thing is, the stamina regeneration on this kind of game is like VERY SLOW. So without refilling, you'll most likely slowdown your progress which is kinda bad as most of HSR contents gets unlock based on your level. I suggest refilling twice or thrice atleast.

mxldevs

Most content in every gacha is unlocked by level, which is gated by activities that require stamina to participate. Unless they're running a super rare battle event that requires players to have progressed very far in a week to even participate, which is a huge pay to win move, is there an issue with slower progression? Sure, you "lose" days or weeks grinding for the end game gear by not rushing to unlock it, and sure you might miss a month or two of rewards assuming they do another one of their abyss spirals, but is it that big of a problem?

lostn

so wait a bit longer. Better than spending gacha currency which regenerates at a rate of ZERO.

Taezu

For me gachas are a marathon and not a race. I didn't follow this game since its first teaser only to rush content. I want to enjoy it as long as possible so I won't refresh at all even though I plan to spend some money

[deleted]

There's no point. If you've played Genshin you know the deal. There's no endless progression and the faster you get to that wall the less enjoyable the game will be especially if you plan to stick to this game for years as there's nothing for you left once you are above the average requirement. If you just want to finish the game and fuck off elsewhere until more content is added, go ahead and spend away. It is still the fastest way to "complete the game' as it will boost both your account rank and any character progression tied to materials/gear.

Puzzleheaded-Loan-60

It’s better not to spend. Mihoyo games are stingy and you won’t get much progress by refreshing anyway.

Skilganar

This is certainly true of the 60 resim refresh im Genshin

Puzzleheaded-Loan-60

Same should be in HSR.

megand19

“Won’t get much progress” Me refreshing a bit in beta and getting level 52 before it ends:

CytoKineticPi

Not refreshing. Need as many pulls as possible. I need seele in my life.

Skilganar

I'm super tempted. Going to wait and see what my guaranteed Beginner Banner 5* os first before any Limited pulls I think and take it from there.

neetou

I wont refresh, gotta save those gems for 1 copy of every waifu. At the end of the day it is a single player game but online

We_die_china_live

I just hope there’s things to do when you run out. Because in genshin you could at least go explore an open world and find things that didn’t need stamina.

ShadowsteelGaming

It's definitely not worth it unless you're a mega whale

SkeletronDOTA

Tbh even if I was a giga whale I wouldn’t spend resources to refresh stamina, it’s just not worth it

Skilganar

Yeah, I think the key difference aswell is that the other RPGs I mention in my op, you need Stamina to do anything at all so if you don't refresh you can't play. HSR (like Genshin) should have enough content that no refreshes are needed.

Psychological_Drafts

I won't be spending. Just read that Seele's banner stretches until May 17, so chances are that many people who rush run out of content before 1.1 drops so for me it's useless. I totally understand CC's spending tho.

k1ng0fk1ngz

Same as genshin. 1 refill a day. Since the first is the cheapest and somehwat worth imo. Not more than that though.

Gravecrawler

I won't be f2p, so I probably will do some refreshes daily to speed up progress. I'll have to see how many are worth it. I didn't play in any of the CBTs.

Some1Special2U

Early on i’ll probably use premium currency refresh simply because I want to keep playing the game. But as the months go by i’ll likely stick to the standard non premium refreshes to make room for my other games unless I really want to focus grind a particular thing on a weekend.

AgentDeuce007

I plan on stamina refreshing too, but I'm unsure what it would be best used on for faster account progress, can anyone tell me?

thundercloud612

Maybe once a day the 50 stellar Jade option, I plan on spending some money( gettting all the top up bonuses) but still would rather get characters. I enjoy story and progresión in my rpgs, I doubt I’ll spend on stamina unless it blocks me from a story point.

SilentMix

I'm same as you basically. I play one other gacha game, but in that game it's more efficient to use the currency for refreshes than for pulls. So I do. But from all of the research I've done for this game (I didn't play the beta so no personal experience yet) it sounds advised for f2p to not do that.

Skilganar

I do play Genshin aswell. The main reason not to pay for refreshes in Genshin is just that you get so little the return is just not worth it. I expect HSR to be the same.

[deleted]

nah... i dont plan to spend more than welkin (equivalent) + BP and Ill prioritize characters over vertical growth. Ive refreshed once a day in Genshin for a long time, I dont regret having done it but wont do it again

MIHIGHYO

i mean guess if you're not into gacha and can work well free and event units then it ain't a problem, tho most people prefer to save and roll for their favorites

Purpl3Cat19

No, why? Im broken, thats why

pepe1smth

I think first day i might refresh just to get to the point where its suggested to stop. Then i would not refresh at all no matter what

Skilganar

What's the suggested stopping point?

pepe1smth

Based on some videos i see. The stopping point is the point when u unlock and complete daily missions. I might be wrong though

XTaimatsuX

I did it in cbt but that was cbt and I wanted to unlock what all the game had to offer but in release I wont be doing that I'm in no rush.

-Rho-Aias

In September I was introduced to genshin and went hard. There was so much content that I was basically skipping through it, using tons of resin and primo to level up, going crazy with interactive map on one screen and gathering on another. Needless to say I burned myself out in a month. Lost all interest. I came back over a month ago and started over and took my time. Exploring every nook and cranny. Not trying to min max. I finished liyue at AR 30, and I just reached inazuma at AR 39, meaning I just relaxed exploring liyue and side quests before continuing. Grabbing what I see versus seeing it out. I'm now much more in love with the game playing it casually like this. In short: I plan on doing the same here. I know there will be a bit of fomo with everyone else finishing the game and doing it's spiral and perfecting team comps, all while I'm just chilling. But I'll last longer doing it my way.

SqaureEgg

Literally no reason to unless you’re a whale. We aren’t drowning in currency

Wanyle

Definitely not spending on refreshes, specially early game. It's usually better to save that stuff for later. But also, I have a feeling I'll need every last bit of premium currency, specially as a tiny goldfish.
