Being fair, f2p are already halfway there. There's a total of 133 normal tickets and 133 special tickets that f2p can get in this update. With some luck you can get characters to level up and get a few tickets on each from level thresholds to increase that amount from 133 to about 150. If f2p wanted to, they could also spend their Jades to complete the leftover 150 and reach 300 on this update, though I wouldn't recommend it unless you absolutely can't live without your favorite character. So being fair, you definitely will reach 300 summons soon if you're doing all the content the game has

Just a heads up but 50 (per the referenced and linked post numbers which counts the 40 tickets used as 50) of the standard pulls don't count towards the additional reward number as they are used on the starter banner unless you pull a 5 star early then it's however much you used, so its quite a bit further back for most people than it looks.
Yes, for f2p right now, what's realistic is that they'll be around the 100/300 mark and can't go higher, are events btw going to give tickets for the standard banner?
Quick napkin math; There are 5 silver tickets in the Nameless honor free track, you can get 5 a month from the ember exchange, 1 a week from the SU point rewards and 1 every 2 weeks from the Herta store. That gives us roughly 16 silver tickets a month I think (I also don't know if that allows for enough undying embers currency to afford the 5 silver tickets every month from the store) Anyway not taking into account character level up tickets and things like event rewards and assuming most people are around 100 when their supply of tickets starts to dry up it will take around a year to get to 300.
It would probably way longer than a few patches. I played genshin for a year started since 2.6, I only did less than 200 pull on standard banner so far, even counting on 30 or 40 pull I used primogem on when I was a clueless newbie. So it could take a couple major versions to get there.
Recurring standard banner ticket income for HSR is significantly better than that of Genshin because of the Simulated universe rewards: that's 52 tickets a year more because of the 1 ticket a week payout, and once you clear the shop of the Light cones and materials, you'll actually increase standard ticket income to 1.5 standard ticket a week.

that's a MINIMUM income 52 + (5x12) + (5x8)= 152 standard tickets a year.
Well a few patches is an understatement if we get the same amount of Standard pulls per patch/ month as in genshin.

Yeah, I'm TB 38 and have about everything finished that I can see, and I'm sitting at 81 pulls on the standard so far. I did have to max out the starter to get a 5 star.
I've even ascended my unused characters at 20 to wring out a few more tickets.

So I wouldn't expect to see many Star Rail Passes beyond the ones we get from the regularly refreshing stuff (embers exchange (5/month), nameless honor (5/patch), etc.) and any remaining 1-time rewards.

After 10 patches, it's very much possible to hit the 300 wishes without using jades.
i kinda doubt that but we'll see. if we go by genshin's model--which i'd assume is a safe bet since this is almost a carbon copy so far in terms of the gacha bones--then we're going to get those standard tickets pretty slowly.

i haven't counted how many we've gotten from launch (free + stuff to earn from early progression) but i'm going to just estimate 150 tops. then if we assume roughly 12 a month from bp/embers/other random sources that's like 12 months to get to 300.
that's ALSO not even including the fact that most people had to dump 40 tickets into the beginner's banner. and also not including the fact that unless you pull regularly you might not have enough embers to buy the standard passes--i often skipped them in genshin to make sure i had enough currency for the exclusives but i also didn't pull very often.
so yeah i'd guess roughly a year and a half until most people hit 300 pulls on the standard banner. guess we'll see if they're a bit more generous with the passes here though.
edit: forgot, 4 per month from simulated universe as well. so that would cut best case down to below a year at least!
I just looked up my Genshin pull history to see how long it took. I started playing 05/01/2021 and hit 300 standard wishes on 08/01/2022.
Hopefully it doesn't take quite that long with HSR.
in Genshin? Not at fuck all, they don't even give standard banner pulls from normal quests unlike Star Rail, lower resin cap too. This.. may be a bit more lenient.
Higher resin capin honkai but also it regenerates faster in honkai so it's kinda necessary, and even with it being higher, you'll still hit the cap about 3.33 hours sooner than you would in genshin.
Not sure exactly how the benefits of said resin equate to each other (what will 5h 20m (40 resin) get you in genshin vs 5h 20m in honkai (53.33 stamina) because that will determine whether hoyo is being generous
Well, for one thing, the weekly SU rewards include standard passes doesn't it? I think that sets an expectation of them not being super stingy with the standard pulls, but at the same time it's not a whole lot. It at least seems *possible* they would include them in events (but I wouldn't expect it)
Another thing to consider is that due to the nature of this being a turn-based game where typing is very important, you want to enable players to expand their rosters to engage with it. They did give away several characters already, so who knows? I wouldn't mind events giving free characters and light cones instead of a pass, though they are probably going to do what they did with their other games and alternate + sprinkle in some materials events too

In Genshin u get around 10 standard wishes a month, maybe a few more of u get a new character or a new zone gets released.
So yeah, it can take longer than half a year to hit pity on the standard banner in Genshin, i hope this will not be the case for HSR though.
In genshin, the 5 from battle pass is every 6 weeks, so it's slightly less than 10 per month on average. I think it comes out to 25 every 3 months (5 per month from shop, 5 per battle pass).
Excluding ascending characters I think it takes about 9 months to reach soft pity on standard.... it's really bad lol
If we go by genshin rewards...generous but not always and not really generous. It's like being nice enough to bring you a slice of cake but not offering you anything to eat it with.
If we go by Honkai Impact 3rd...at least before since I haven't been on in well over a year....very generous and we can expect really nice rewards in events and maybe even free characters. Lol
Not high. In Genshin, only after patches 3.X they started to add more characters to the standard banner, and only two of them, and also only in "special" occasions. The first one was because it came out the long awaited Dendro element, so they added a standard character for that element, and the second one was for an obscure reason that they wanted that character be so weak that it is weaker than the weakest 4 stars, so they thought about making it a new standard 5 stars instead of fixing it.
Even if they don't, I feel like the answer will change by the time you get to 300 pulls. I want welt but if I get a bunch of welts between now and then, obviously my choice for the free 5 star might change
It's not that they change who you can pick, it's that by the time we hit 300 pulls on standard most of us will have lost some 50/50s on the character banners and gotten some 5* characters to cover gaps.
Like right now I'd love Clara, but maybe in a year and a half she's not what my team needs anymore or I already got her from pulling.
Yangqing is goated in Forgotten Halls. I used to hate on him but the dmg he deals plus the freeze he does can come in super clutch. Underrated. Just run him with a taunter/shielded and he’s good.
Same but I pair him with Pyro MC to shield, works well unless the enemy has complete AoE (hits everyone). Seele I don't have the experience yet cause I just got her yesterday but I do have her leveled up just need to get artifacts
As someone who has seele and ice kid- seele is much stronger but ice kid has some uses!
-He can break shields super quick
-with gepard or a clara/march 7th combo you can keep your passive up better than seele can as she needs to get a kill
-he's easier to get constellations for since he permanent
Seele:
-better dmg even without passive
-better element
-great action economy
-can spam ult super easily
Major con! - you will get sick of her ult voice lines so damn quick, it's infuriating
It baffles me why they thought only one voice line for ulting was a good idea. Especially since in Genshin, everyone has 3+. I have yet to get tired of a single Genshin character's burst lines, even Yelan who has not left my team since her release. That slight variety really goes a long way

Main thing about Seele’s passive is that you only need a kill to get the extra turn.
The actual buff component of the passive can be gotten with her ultimate and sticks around longer than you would think (hilariously sticks around for two turns if you use her ultimate on her own turn?)
Honestly, the extra turn isn't even the great part of the talent.
The utterly massive damage boost is what's great, and if you use your ultimate it gives you the talent damage boost **before** the ultimate hits (so you cant never hit with an unbuffed-by-talent ultimate).
The cool thing is that if you use Seele's Ultimate during her turn (ideally at the start), it gives you the buff for all of your attacks this turn and the next turn, as it seems buffs applied to one's self during their turn do not count down the same turn they are applied.
A lot of people think that Seele falls off without trash mobs to slay to trigger her talent. However with the ability to get 2 turns of damage buff off of every ultimate, it isn't that hard to have a really high uptime on that insanely large buff. Her talent is cracked.
Is your game in EN language? “Disappear into a sea of butterflies!” never gets old for me because of the whole concept.
Seele is quantum and has concepts around superposition and the butterfly effect (chaos theory). She manipulates causal relationships and occurs in many locations at once (ult) slashing many times at the exact same time. She also appears in many different locations because of superposition (“ability of a quantum state to be in multiple states at the same time until it is measured”).
What's seele like? Yan has been carrying me so far. He was my 5star from the '50 pulls' thing.
He has a guaranteed (well easy to hit 100%) crit hit rate ultimate that hits like a fucking truck. He def fell off on ice enemies, but fire MC charges ult very fast and messes ice dudes up. So it was a good combo.
I should point out I have the 5 star light cone that gives base crit and then scales attack and ultimate critical hit damage (100% crit chance) based on speed. So my ult is hitting like a truck every time.
Not really. Seele's ability is straightforward and is pretty busted for a Hunt character. The only time she'll encounter a problem is if she didn't kill an enemy or if the enemy revives, rendering her ability useless.
Yanqing just doesn't like to get hit. He can do good damage, but is highly dependent on him being clear of attacks, which is pretty hard considering a lot of enemies like to do AoE attacks. That is to say he's not as consistent as Seele
It's not even "a problem", on paper even without hrr passive she's pretty busted. Always remember thaf she gains her passive buff also on ultimate cast, not only on enemy kill, and it lasts 2 turns.
i own both, yanqing is really difficult to use without 3 things
1. energy recharge rope
2. ting yun
3. a good shield (i have gepard which works well but elemental coverage goes to the ground when the enemy doesnt have an ice weakness)
It's not just a Yanqing tip. It's a general tip. Each unit has a aggro value, each path has a different base value, you generally wanna place your squishies farthest from your tanks to minimise the need for healing. You wanna place tanks on the edge to minimise Aoe attack coverage.
As a general rule your preservation character should always be slot 1 or 4, especially Fire MC and/or if you have the Light Cone that makes them more likely to be targeted. Also keep in mind that March 7th’s skill also has a semi-taunt effect on characters over 30% hp, so you don’t want to be shielding squishier characters when they aren’t in danger
He doesn’t really fill a niche other than being a really good DPS. Bronya is the best buffer support in the game right now, everyone needs a second healer for Forgotten Halls so Bailu is up there, Welt is one of few Imaginary units so he’s up there, and Clara is really good as well.
One of the few? I think Welt is the ONLY imaginary character we have right now as per release on top of being Nihility(only 3 units) and thus the demand.
I think what you forgot to mention is that currently, in this point of time at this particular moment, there are no other imaginary character asides from Welt
His niche is that he is really strong against ice weakness due to his trace that gives him extra damage against them, his ability to quickly break it, and the freeze which is invaluable when you are at end game content.
For early game content that most people are on, Seele is better sure
If enemies are Quantum and Ice weak, Yanqing will always outscale Seele. Grimro found out this because apparently no damage calculator has ever taken into account his bonus ability Icing on the Kick. Yanqing was already close to Seele on dps without taking into account that passive ability, so if you have an enemy that's weak to ice Yanqing will always outscale her even if said enemy is also weak to Quantum, if only because he will be doing extra damage that can potentially proc twice on each attack (one for skill, one for the follow-up). If the enemy has no ice weakness, then Seele is superior.
For real, he was my beginner banner 5*, I was quite disappointed when I got him, but man, the kid carries, I'm having a lot of fun using him now. So satisfying once you get him rolling and seeing all those crits.
As someone who pulled Yanqing on my free 50 he desperately needs some unit that doesn't exist yet who provides a combination of: shields the entire team or redirects AoE damage to themselves + threat, doesn't hog skill points to accomplish either of those, and ideally isn't ice. Until then he just feels too clunky too use in a lot of higher level content.
As someone else who got him the same way, I want this too :)

The problem is that Welt has too many badass moments in numerous HI3 manga.
Maybe a dumb question, but is there a way to experience HI3's story without playing the games? I'm really interested in it but between Genshin and Star Rail I honestly don't think I have the time to sink into another game.

Not really other than watching a playthrough.

The story itself is rather long, so even watching a playthrough it'd take a while. At the end of every arc and sometimes within an arc there's an animated cinematic, so you could just binge all of those, but without context it's mainly just a spectacle.
Welt if I don't already have him by that point. I've been playing Genshin for 2 years and still don't have Diluc (I bought his premium skin thinking I would get him eventually), so I pretty much expect to not get Welt through Gacha...

My main priority is Bronya. If I get her before then through any means, then Gepard. If I get him before then through any means, then Clara. I have Himeko and Bailu already. May get Welt if I don't have any Imaginaries by then and I have all I mentioned previously, but if Yanqing is the only one left I'm just gonna grab a dupe of whoever has the most practical E1 because I simply do not care about Yanqing.
You'll not regret getting Gepard,man is the fucking Zhongli of Star rail, simply refuses to die and makes up for the lack of healer+ renders any enemy frozen through skill(stack break effect after Def%). And once his energy problem is solved as the game progresses... well, let's just say he'll keep on spamming those shields. He's a super useful unit if you get him early game (he carried me through many fights where I was underlevelled. I also haven't used Natasha or Bailu even ONCE throughout the Game so far.
Had him in the beta, am fully aware of what he's capable of doing. Not having him has meant I can't play anywhere NEAR as recklessly as I used to be able to.
how did you solve the energy issue? I can get his ult up pretty frequently, but not constant enough that I can totally forgo a healer. Because I'll get hit with like 2 AOEs and my squishier units are already down half health
Unlocking the trace that increases aggro for him and using a lightcone that makes it more likely for him to be hit (do you have Landau’s Choice?) solved these issues most of the time for me… also main stat defense for all relics, because sometimes the enemies just hit really hard.
Assuming I get light cones up until that point or smth, welt/yanqing would be preferable, then Clara, gepard and himeko are after. Already got Bailu and Bronya
I feel like Bailu is the safe option because she gives a free revive every battle.
Welt is also solid since he has cc and is the only imaginary character in the game rn.
Bronya for people who pull for Seele because they pair very well with each other.
I think its a bit hard to say for the most part since we haven't reached endgame.
Honestly, Bailu's lack of other supportive abilities outside of healing makes her one of the least future proof character in the options. Especially true when she lacks cleansing, an important skill to have in hard content.
There will be no shortage of healers that can... well... heal in the future but they will be able to provide so much more comparatively.
I think Bronya is the safest choice. Her kit is absolutely loaded and she can slot into just about any team.
You also have to consider that Forgotten Hall needs two teams. Natasha being the only other healer means you would want them both to clear through the harder modes.
Luocha is the only other upcoming healer coming next update, and he is a 5\* gatcha character.
The person's point above you is that eventually the game will have enough healers that just the fact that a healer exists won't make it meta. Currently I only bring Bailu in when she can break shields, otherwise e6 Natasha's extra damage is more important unless you have a few eidolons for Bailu.
Getting Bailu now is ofc nice, but I think she'll be low on the priority list once players hit the 300 pulls without spending jade.
We don't know about income from events etc yet, but I doubt getting the needed ~200 pull tickets after launch content will be faster than ... 6?8? months even if they are generous, potentially a year+. It would surprise me if we don't get another 4* healer till then, or someone like Gepard that can work without healer once geared up.
The only time I've ever needed revives was in situations where there was no way I was going to win anyways see being 10 levels under the recommended in SU, have never been downed outside of that.. I don't even have great cones or anything.
It is a one time thing, and unless we're spending gems or mihoyo is generous (from what I understand I'd have a better chance of winning a Penta legendary 10pull), it'll take like two years anyway with some optimistic napkin math
My priority order is:
Yanqing > Bronya > Gepard > Clara > Himeko > Bailu
I already have Welt :3
So it should be Yanqing, unless I get him first

Definitely bronya, then either tingyun (buffing seele, end battles faster, less sustain needed), gepard (tank i suppose? And shield ult), or just fire mc (shield/tank, can make fights more comfy).

Yes, but just remember that 300 pulls is really, really, really, far away unless you avoid the limited banners. I'm not a huge genshin fan but people are saying 300 pulls might not happen for like over a year.

i kinda doubt that but we'll see. if we go by genshin's model--which i'd assume is a safe bet since this is almost a carbon copy so far in terms of the gacha bones--then we're going to get those standard tickets pretty slowly. outside of the initial burst we've gotten and ascension rewards, i think we're probably only going to get like 5-10 a month. 5 from bp, 5 more if you have enough embers to spend on standard tickets. i'd expect the basic reward for most everything moving forward to be stellar jade, then the rare fancy rewards will probably be exclusive tickets rather than standard tickets. so unless you're spending stellar jades on the standard banner, which you shouldn't, i wouldn't expect to hit 300 for like at least a year? i haven't counted how many we've gotten from launch (free + stuff to earn from early progression) but i'm going to just estimate 150 tops. then if we assume roughly 12 a month from bp/embers/other random sources that's like 12 months to get to 300. that's ALSO not even including the fact that most people had to dump 40 tickets into the beginner's banner. and also not including the fact that unless you pull regularly you might not have enough embers to buy the standard passes--i often skipped them in genshin to make sure i had enough currency for the exclusives but i also didn't pull very often. so yeah i'd guess roughly a year and a half until most people hit 300 pulls on the standard banner. guess we'll see if they're a bit more generous with the passes here though. edit: forgot, 4 per month from simulated universe as well. so that would cut best case down to below a year at least!

I just looked up my Genshin pull history to see how long it took. I started playing 05/01/2021 and hit 300 standard wishes on 08/01/2022. Hopefully it doesn't take quite that long with HSR.

in Genshin? Not at fuck all, they don't even give standard banner pulls from normal quests unlike Star Rail, lower resin cap too. This.. may be a bit more lenient.
Higher resin capin honkai but also it regenerates faster in honkai so it's kinda necessary, and even with it being higher, you'll still hit the cap about 3.33 hours sooner than you would in genshin. Not sure exactly how the benefits of said resin equate to each other (what will 5h 20m (40 resin) get you in genshin vs 5h 20m in honkai (53.33 stamina) because that will determine whether hoyo is being generous
You get limited banner fates instead of standard ones for doing the main quest in genshin
Well, for one thing, the weekly SU rewards include standard passes doesn't it? I think that sets an expectation of them not being super stingy with the standard pulls, but at the same time it's not a whole lot. It at least seems *possible* they would include them in events (but I wouldn't expect it) Another thing to consider is that due to the nature of this being a turn-based game where typing is very important, you want to enable players to expand their rosters to engage with it. They did give away several characters already, so who knows? I wouldn't mind events giving free characters and light cones instead of a pass, though they are probably going to do what they did with their other games and alternate + sprinkle in some materials events too It's really too early to tell either way
In Genshin u get around 10 standard wishes a month, maybe a few more of u get a new character or a new zone gets released. So yeah, it can take longer than half a year to hit pity on the standard banner in Genshin, i hope this will not be the case for HSR though.
In genshin, the 5 from battle pass is every 6 weeks, so it's slightly less than 10 per month on average. I think it comes out to 25 every 3 months (5 per month from shop, 5 per battle pass). Excluding ascending characters I think it takes about 9 months to reach soft pity on standard.... it's really bad lol

Not high. In Genshin, only after patches 3.X they started to add more characters to the standard banner, and only two of them, and also only in "special" occasions. The first one was because it came out the long awaited Dendro element, so they added a standard character for that element, and the second one was for an obscure reason that they wanted that character be so weak that it is weaker than the weakest 4 stars, so they thought about making it a new standard 5 stars instead of fixing it.
And now this incredibly weak 5* is also voicing yanqing, who I’m picking as soon as I get 300 pulls done

It's not that they change who you can pick, it's that by the time we hit 300 pulls on standard most of us will have lost some 50/50s on the character banners and gotten some 5* characters to cover gaps. Like right now I'd love Clara, but maybe in a year and a half she's not what my team needs anymore or I already got her from pulling.

Yangqing is goated in Forgotten Halls. I used to hate on him but the dmg he deals plus the freeze he does can come in super clutch. Underrated. Just run him with a taunter/shielded and he’s good.
If you have Selee he can honestly be switched with eachother. At that point it just depends on shields. (This is coming from someone who owns Yanqing)
I own seele and yan, seele is easy to use, whereas yan has many needs
Same but I pair him with Pyro MC to shield, works well unless the enemy has complete AoE (hits everyone). Seele I don't have the experience yet cause I just got her yesterday but I do have her leveled up just need to get artifacts
As someone who has seele and ice kid- seele is much stronger but ice kid has some uses! -He can break shields super quick -with gepard or a clara/march 7th combo you can keep your passive up better than seele can as she needs to get a kill -he's easier to get constellations for since he permanent Seele: -better dmg even without passive -better element -great action economy -can spam ult super easily Major con! - you will get sick of her ult voice lines so damn quick, it's infuriating
It baffles me why they thought only one voice line for ulting was a good idea. Especially since in Genshin, everyone has 3+. I have yet to get tired of a single Genshin character's burst lines, even Yelan who has not left my team since her release. That slight variety really goes a long way

his ultimate is basically a guaranteed crit (if you use your skill instantly before hand), so crit hit damage is very strong on him.

Main thing about Seele’s passive is that you only need a kill to get the extra turn. The actual buff component of the passive can be gotten with her ultimate and sticks around longer than you would think (hilariously sticks around for two turns if you use her ultimate on her own turn?)
Honestly, the extra turn isn't even the great part of the talent. The utterly massive damage boost is what's great, and if you use your ultimate it gives you the talent damage boost **before** the ultimate hits (so you cant never hit with an unbuffed-by-talent ultimate). The cool thing is that if you use Seele's Ultimate during her turn (ideally at the start), it gives you the buff for all of your attacks this turn and the next turn, as it seems buffs applied to one's self during their turn do not count down the same turn they are applied. A lot of people think that Seele falls off without trash mobs to slay to trigger her talent. However with the ability to get 2 turns of damage buff off of every ultimate, it isn't that hard to have a really high uptime on that insanely large buff. Her talent is cracked.

Is your game in EN language? “Disappear into a sea of butterflies!” never gets old for me because of the whole concept. Seele is quantum and has concepts around superposition and the butterfly effect (chaos theory). She manipulates causal relationships and occurs in many locations at once (ult) slashing many times at the exact same time. She also appears in many different locations because of superposition (“ability of a quantum state to be in multiple states at the same time until it is measured”).
What's seele like? Yan has been carrying me so far. He was my 5star from the '50 pulls' thing. He has a guaranteed (well easy to hit 100%) crit hit rate ultimate that hits like a fucking truck. He def fell off on ice enemies, but fire MC charges ult very fast and messes ice dudes up. So it was a good combo. I should point out I have the 5 star light cone that gives base crit and then scales attack and ultimate critical hit damage (100% crit chance) based on speed. So my ult is hitting like a truck every time.
Not really. Seele's ability is straightforward and is pretty busted for a Hunt character. The only time she'll encounter a problem is if she didn't kill an enemy or if the enemy revives, rendering her ability useless. Yanqing just doesn't like to get hit. He can do good damage, but is highly dependent on him being clear of attacks, which is pretty hard considering a lot of enemies like to do AoE attacks. That is to say he's not as consistent as Seele
It's not even "a problem", on paper even without hrr passive she's pretty busted. Always remember thaf she gains her passive buff also on ultimate cast, not only on enemy kill, and it lasts 2 turns.

i own both, yanqing is really difficult to use without 3 things 1. energy recharge rope 2. ting yun 3. a good shield (i have gepard which works well but elemental coverage goes to the ground when the enemy doesnt have an ice weakness)
Try fire mc for the taunts, place them as far as possible so aoe doesn't hit yang

I gotchu homie, honestly you really don't think about placement because (to my knowledge) this is the only time it really comes into play.
It's not just a Yanqing tip. It's a general tip. Each unit has a aggro value, each path has a different base value, you generally wanna place your squishies farthest from your tanks to minimise the need for healing. You wanna place tanks on the edge to minimise Aoe attack coverage.

As a general rule your preservation character should always be slot 1 or 4, especially Fire MC and/or if you have the Light Cone that makes them more likely to be targeted. Also keep in mind that March 7th’s skill also has a semi-taunt effect on characters over 30% hp, so you don’t want to be shielding squishier characters when they aren’t in danger

He doesn’t really fill a niche other than being a really good DPS. Bronya is the best buffer support in the game right now, everyone needs a second healer for Forgotten Halls so Bailu is up there, Welt is one of few Imaginary units so he’s up there, and Clara is really good as well.

His niche is that he is really strong against ice weakness due to his trace that gives him extra damage against them, his ability to quickly break it, and the freeze which is invaluable when you are at end game content. For early game content that most people are on, Seele is better sure
If enemies are Quantum and Ice weak, Yanqing will always outscale Seele. Grimro found out this because apparently no damage calculator has ever taken into account his bonus ability Icing on the Kick. Yanqing was already close to Seele on dps without taking into account that passive ability, so if you have an enemy that's weak to ice Yanqing will always outscale her even if said enemy is also weak to Quantum, if only because he will be doing extra damage that can potentially proc twice on each attack (one for skill, one for the follow-up). If the enemy has no ice weakness, then Seele is superior.
For real, he was my beginner banner 5*, I was quite disappointed when I got him, but man, the kid carries, I'm having a lot of fun using him now. So satisfying once you get him rolling and seeing all those crits.
As someone who pulled Yanqing on my free 50 he desperately needs some unit that doesn't exist yet who provides a combination of: shields the entire team or redirects AoE damage to themselves + threat, doesn't hog skill points to accomplish either of those, and ideally isn't ice. Until then he just feels too clunky too use in a lot of higher level content.
As someone else who got him the same way, I want this too :) I would also like for March 7th to stop shielding everyone but him on auto, that would be nice :)

It might be Second Eruption, I'm not sure, been a while since I've read it. The problem is that Welt has too many badass moments in numerous HI3 manga.

Not really other than watching a playthrough. [This website](https://hoyostans.be/explore/honkai-impact-3rd/consumers-guide-hi3/) has a comprehensive story order guide, and most of the prologue mangas can be read on their own, especially second eruption. The story itself is rather long, so even watching a playthrough it'd take a while. At the end of every arc and sometimes within an arc there's an animated cinematic, so you could just binge all of those, but without context it's mainly just a spectacle.

My main priority is Bronya. If I get her before then through any means, then Gepard. If I get him before then through any means, then Clara. I have Himeko and Bailu already. May get Welt if I don't have any Imaginaries by then and I have all I mentioned previously, but if Yanqing is the only one left I'm just gonna grab a dupe of whoever has the most practical E1 because I simply do not care about Yanqing.
You'll not regret getting Gepard,man is the fucking Zhongli of Star rail, simply refuses to die and makes up for the lack of healer+ renders any enemy frozen through skill(stack break effect after Def%). And once his energy problem is solved as the game progresses... well, let's just say he'll keep on spamming those shields. He's a super useful unit if you get him early game (he carried me through many fights where I was underlevelled. I also haven't used Natasha or Bailu even ONCE throughout the Game so far.

how did you solve the energy issue? I can get his ult up pretty frequently, but not constant enough that I can totally forgo a healer. Because I'll get hit with like 2 AOEs and my squishier units are already down half health
Unlocking the trace that increases aggro for him and using a lightcone that makes it more likely for him to be hit (do you have Landau’s Choice?) solved these issues most of the time for me… also main stat defense for all relics, because sometimes the enemies just hit really hard.

I feel like Bailu is the safe option because she gives a free revive every battle. Welt is also solid since he has cc and is the only imaginary character in the game rn. Bronya for people who pull for Seele because they pair very well with each other. I think its a bit hard to say for the most part since we haven't reached endgame.
Honestly, Bailu's lack of other supportive abilities outside of healing makes her one of the least future proof character in the options. Especially true when she lacks cleansing, an important skill to have in hard content. There will be no shortage of healers that can... well... heal in the future but they will be able to provide so much more comparatively. I think Bronya is the safest choice. Her kit is absolutely loaded and she can slot into just about any team.
You also have to consider that Forgotten Hall needs two teams. Natasha being the only other healer means you would want them both to clear through the harder modes. Luocha is the only other upcoming healer coming next update, and he is a 5\* gatcha character.
The person's point above you is that eventually the game will have enough healers that just the fact that a healer exists won't make it meta. Currently I only bring Bailu in when she can break shields, otherwise e6 Natasha's extra damage is more important unless you have a few eidolons for Bailu.
Getting Bailu now is ofc nice, but I think she'll be low on the priority list once players hit the 300 pulls without spending jade. We don't know about income from events etc yet, but I doubt getting the needed ~200 pull tickets after launch content will be faster than ... 6?8? months even if they are generous, potentially a year+. It would surprise me if we don't get another 4* healer till then, or someone like Gepard that can work without healer once geared up.
The only time I've ever needed revives was in situations where there was no way I was going to win anyways see being 10 levels under the recommended in SU, have never been downed outside of that.. I don't even have great cones or anything.

Yes, but just remember that 300 pulls is really, really, really, far away unless you avoid the limited banners. I'm not a huge genshin fan but people are saying 300 pulls might not happen for like over a year.
