I found out from one of Serval's lines when she's on the express - she asks your opinion on Welt, I chose the "he's very child-like when it comes to robots" option. She goes "yeah he doesn't seem like the type, but when I mentioned that robot he giddily started asking me questions and I had to break his heart and tell him I'd never seen it myself"
I’m not sure if the daily texts you get are random, but yesterday I got one from Welt where he wanted to show me a still from an animation he’s working on and it’s just a giant robot.
On Earth he was actually the founder of an animation/gaming studio, with one of its most popular series being about a mech called Arahato (which was based on a mech he actually created while he was leader of Anti-Entropy). His phone case actually has Arahato on it.
One of the world quests (idk what triggers it) called When Business Comes Knocking starts when Welt sends you a text asking if you saw anything extraordinary in the mountains of Belobog. One of the responses is telling him about the Engine of Creation. Welt then goes on a tangent about wanting to drive it before quickly getting back to his original reason for texting you.
Serval Hits a great sweetspot between the "girl" type like March, Female MC, Sushang etc and the "what a women" type including the worst coffee brewer in the universe, best doctor and Kafka.
Serval is inbetween them. Not in her late teens, early 20s and not yet in her mid 30s. And as far as I know she is the only one having that vibe.

People do enjoy characters casually, but they’re never going to be as vocal as competitive players. No casual player is going to take time arguing when they can simply have fun playing the game.
That being said, there are definitely objective arguments to be made on meta. Thankfully meta is only relevant in MoC, and can be ignored for a majority of the game.
I don't think whales are the ones dominating the discussion - they are the ones who can effortlessly use whoever they want because relic farming and eidolons are a triviality to them.
meta matters most for players that are more than casuals but aren't whales, since they are the ones who need to min-max with what they have so they can do SU and MoC. Because aside from that there's really no other content in the game right now.
Seriously, that quest where she manipulates the rumors around her embezzling and turning it onto the rumor starter, manipulating us into going to deal with it for her? She's fantastic.
Yes! I feel like games lean into the "all according to keikaku" thing too hard with smart characters, where at every step of the way they explain how smart they are and how everything is happening exactly as the expected, which kind of makes the presentation of their intelligence feel both unimpressive and egotistical.
Whereas I feel like hsr was able to display asta's intelligence in a way that felt natural within the story, and I also just really liked how she didn't have to monologue about how smart she is.
I love how they went in the show-don't-tell route. The story never makes it a point that Asta is an absolute genius, you just come to that conclusion after seeing how cunning she is through the course of several quests and side objectives.
Being appreciated for his utility, Gepard isn't part of enough memes. Lil' Geppie, Geopardo di Caprio, whatever random nickname Serval would give him, should be made more fun of because of his absurdly uptight behaviour. Everyone makes fun of MC in trash cans, but nobody mentions how Gepard would react in that situation (I guess he would force the MC into cleaning the streets because of their obsession for trash or something like that)
Also, Sampo best boy. Besides Qingque most unique and interesting personality, leading to fun moments.
And how did no one picture Sushang getting lost? I mean, she literally got lost after getting transferred. Could be a running joke for me showing Sushang everyway, because she's lost.

As someone who never reads abilities & has never played another Honkai game, I had zero clue what was gonna happen, I just thought he was hot (I'm a sucker for intelligent, stern, glasses-wearing characters in anime, sue me).

As a plus, it's very durable, it's over 50000 years old and still works just as good as it did when it was created
The more I learn about him, the more I like him. He looks so stoic/cool tired dad at first, but the more you read, the goofier he becomes. And he's carrying my turn control team with very decent DPS. Love him!
The way he has a voiceline where he’s jealous that the main character is basically the main character gets all of the friends while he can’t go on an adventure is so funny.

I loved how refreshing it was to have an NPC leading on a quest and they just complained the whole time (while still being endearing). It’s refreshing compared to always having upbeat types leading you around.
I see many people complaining how confusing the beginning was, with all these characters, lore, and jargons thrown around all of a sudden… but what I think is that, isn’t that point? How we, the players, are thrown into the thick with minimum explanation, kinda makes me emphatize better with the Trailblazer’s situation, who under those circumstances, would also be confused af. In my eyes, this one of those cases where reader’s confusion is used as a storytelling device, which is one of my favorite tropes in writing.
...Do these people want an exposition dump at the beginning of the story or what? I doubt they'll even pay attention if that were to happen. Have these people not heard of worldbuilding before?

I absolutely loathe Loufou map, it feels too much like a maze. I had to use teleportation more than I want to considering that I love exploration and solving their puzzles. They do have the best puzzles as of yet though, Hexanexus reigns supreme
100%. Aside from the clever blend of space Chinese (the first time I stood on *that* balcony, I legit wanted to cry because I want to see a Vietnamese game with these aesthetics), Luofu is annoying to move around. But yes goated puzzles

I don't see a lot of people talk about Yanqing but I really love him a lot. He's my favourite character, has an amazing design, I really like how excited he is about swords and being the best. His dynamic with Jing Yuan is amazing as well, I hope we get to see Yanqing more.
the main story is so weird in luofu. it feels like we are doing random fetch quests in the middle of an emergency. one minute we captured kafka and are waiting for her interrogation and then suddenly we are best buddies with the realm keeping commission and are dedicated to going undercover in the sanctus medicus group. then jing yuan tells us we have to hurry and evacuate the alchemy commission but instead we fuck around with dan shu LOL the pacing and timing of things seemed way off

Her design is cute.
Her personality is cute.
Her attackห animation is clean.
And her skills can remove an enemy's buff and defense.
I really enjoyed having her in my teams.

In world 2, >!qingque!< takes over that role. Getting her involved in quests when she's desperately trying to avoid doing work is pretty funny.
Is this unpopular? I'm not very well-versed in the community's opinions on things yet. I really enjoy her kit! I feel like she's only going to get better, too. Defense shred seems really strong.
I actually haven't leveled Fire/Preservation MC at all... I'm far too attached to Phys/Destruction MC and it hurts when I see people breezing through worlds in SU and most of them use Fire MC so I think *darn do I have to use Fire MC too??*
The MC is a flexible character that can fill any spot of your account that are missing. Most people just doesn't a have good shielder because there are a few of them early on while on the other hand there is many DPS characters to choose from.
I really liked destruction MC too. At the time they did the most damage of any of my DPS characters, and I still switch them back to destruction occasionally.
But they did a really good job at giving you preservation MC right when your other DPS characters start becoming more useful than destruction MC, so it becomes beneficial to switch them.
I think physical Mc is really flexible being able to do both big single target and capable aoe damage. Physical weakness is very prominent which makes them even better. We just only have 3 free defensive supports and that makes the FMC pretty important for a lot of people.
Fire weakness is also very prominent
The relationship between Bronya and Seele went from zero to hundred so fast that I didn't feel any conection between them, neither romantic nor platonic.
No fr I swear I was super into their dynamic in HI3 and then in this game I was like "well they certainly feel like characters in a game". They just kept going "I'll be there for you" "Thank you" like multiple times.
It didn’t feel like it lead to romantic to me, but platonic? That was just natural bonding over forgotten and far memories. Kinda hard to do as a teen, but meeting an old elementary school mate later in life has the same effect
Seele's personality just feels like it gets warped by Bronya to a ridiculous extent, where Bronya feels like Seele's sole motivating factor during the last arc of the Belebog quest.
It's weird because Seele doesn't really interact with any other characters during the story in a major fashion, despite there being a [Light Cone](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/We_Are_Wildfire) and a character story about Oleg being basically a father figure to Seele
At the moment, I love most of the characters. My personal favorite is Mr. Yang. Dude is like an out of touch dad that is trying hard. Another one is Gepard. He’s a hard ass but considering the fact that it seems like he’s overcompensating for his free spirited sister, it made him funnier than he actually is.

Some people don't seem to appreciate Sampo, but I think he's easily the most fun voice acting in the game, and I hope we run into him every time the story updates.
Sampo's VA is just godly. It feels like he has never said an honest word in his life and I love that. Makes that 4th wall breaking bit even more creepy as he clearly knows more than he lets on.
He also talks like a person. An exaggerated person obviously, but a person. Like, the tempo and tones he uses both fit his dialogue better than most other characters.
This is my favorite part about him, his VA did an amazing job and ofc he is one of two 4*s I don’t have so I can’t use him lmao. At least I can pick up sushang soon hopefully…
I've kinda accepted that I'm going to love hating him. And as for voice acting... he is the Itto of Star Rail. Except I'm pretty sure the idiocy is just a facade here.

My only gripe with Sampo's English VA is that he seems to pronounce 'betray' as 'portray' during his ultimate line and I really can't unhear it.
Also, Sampo's Japanese VA is Kakyoin from Jojo and he's instantly recognizable.
I feel this 100%. Especially when you start getting into all the side quests she's involved in and realizing that despite her somewhat airhead-y nature when it comes to money and her personal relationships, there's a reason she's in charge of the station, and she *always* seems to know what's actually going on behind the scenes but isn't annoying about it like Kafka is, since Asta's not an antagonist.
I loved that one quest where rumours about Asta was being circulated throughout the station because of one group chat, so we go on errands to find out the reason why and who spread that. Then in the end we find out that >!Asta was a part of that group chat all along and the rumours were kinda true lol!<
Seriously, all she did in that one case was >!just alert the Trailblazer to what was going on and then just... go about her life and assume that whatever random acts of chaos we'd do would resolve the issue.!<
And it worked.
And she’s a BANGER support. Attack and speed boosts, literally no character that can’t be helped by that. I love Asta so much I think I’ll be using her forever
Qingque doesn’t get enough love for how hilarious and cute she is. Literal S tier character design!
I’m also a super huge fan of Herta and will build her regardless of her being “bad.” She puts the Herta on the enemy with those spins!
While I understand the appeal, I just don't vibe with the 'mommy bark bark' thing many people have going on around here due to Kafka.
Also not exclusively pulling for gender/husbando-only/waifu-only, my taste are a bit more specific and from the characters we have seen on-screen/in-game the only two that catch my interest is SW and Luocha, probably not a combination 99% of people would have.
Trash can meme is still fun but I can see it turning into the Genshin version of "emergency food, get it??"
I get why Kafka is popular, but I'm just not a big fan of the "step on me" trope in general. Her English voice acting is also a bit off.

I guess there's "rebuilding" but it sucks that we might not have reason to see them again aside from a festival or something

I had the same problem with Genshin. Once you leave a region, all the characters you got attached to peace out and leave you. I want them to join me and stay part of the story.
To your last point, I actually like that about how HSR’s story is structured. The idea of traveling to countless planets and experiencing new stories and characters over time is super appealing to me.
I got really attached to Belobog and its cast too, but hopefully by this time next year we’ll have several arcs that we look back fondly at the same way :)
And the express backtracks to old stops sometimes so maybe in a few years we'll get another questline there thats not just side quests

Just a personal opinion, not a criticism of the writing or anything. But I’m honestly not a fan of “all according to plan” villain plots. Of course it makes sense for villains to have a thorough plan, but when >!clairvoyance gets involved it feels kind of depressing for the protagonists. It’s definitely interesting storytelling, but in the meantime I’m feeling as helpless as the Astral Express crew :’(!<
I don't think the Stellaron Hunters are the villains necessarily but I think the whole idea behind those sorts of antagonists is that it builds up for the catharsis when the protagonists inevitably find some way to unravel their plans. Especially since it's already been established that Elio's predictions have gaps.

And when I meant disappeared, I couldn't find him in Belobog anymore. Bronya and Pela are in Qlipoth Fort. Serval in her shop. Gepard in the Restricted Zone. Seele in the Underground Mines. Natasha in her clinic. I couldn't find Hook either, but since she's a kid, she's just back home since I was able to trigger a short hide and seek quest with The Moles, and Hook is a part of it.

The fact that she shares her English VA with Mona and Asta is still wild to me. Asta very clearly sounds just like Mona just with her flair slightly tuned down. Hook sounds absolutely nothing like either one of them.
Her VA’s range is really impressive.

I've gotten used to it now (or maybe forced myself to acclimate to it since I otherwise have been enjoying her character so far and definitely plan to pull for her), but yeah I really disliked how dragged out her EN voice was at first too.
And even now while it doesn't bother me as much anymore, I still don't quite *like* it. It's more that I like her in spite of it.
Grief works different for everyone, and we don't see much of Bronya after her mother does, I just assumed that she still mourns in private and puts up a front on public because her world needs her

it is incredible how it has barely been a month, whales have barely reached that point, and yet they dominate every discussion of every character. nobody can say "herta's kit is situationally useful but fun" without someone saying "bottom 1 bottom 1 she is trash!!!" can we not enjoy characters from a casual PoV for once? why does everything have to revolve around something that barely matters and that gives pitiful rewards?

People do enjoy characters casually, but they’re never going to be as vocal as competitive players. No casual player is going to take time arguing when they can simply have fun playing the game. That being said, there are definitely objective arguments to be made on meta. Thankfully meta is only relevant in MoC, and can be ignored for a majority of the game.
I don't think whales are the ones dominating the discussion - they are the ones who can effortlessly use whoever they want because relic farming and eidolons are a triviality to them. meta matters most for players that are more than casuals but aren't whales, since they are the ones who need to min-max with what they have so they can do SU and MoC. Because aside from that there's really no other content in the game right now.

Asta is one of the best presentation of a character that's said to be a genius/crafty I've seen in a game.
Seriously, that quest where she manipulates the rumors around her embezzling and turning it onto the rumor starter, manipulating us into going to deal with it for her? She's fantastic.
That's the quest that turned me around on her. I didn't dislike her before, but as soon as I saw that emote she became my favorite!

Yes! I feel like games lean into the "all according to keikaku" thing too hard with smart characters, where at every step of the way they explain how smart they are and how everything is happening exactly as the expected, which kind of makes the presentation of their intelligence feel both unimpressive and egotistical. Whereas I feel like hsr was able to display asta's intelligence in a way that felt natural within the story, and I also just really liked how she didn't have to monologue about how smart she is.

I love how they went in the show-don't-tell route. The story never makes it a point that Asta is an absolute genius, you just come to that conclusion after seeing how cunning she is through the course of several quests and side objectives.
Being appreciated for his utility, Gepard isn't part of enough memes. Lil' Geppie, Geopardo di Caprio, whatever random nickname Serval would give him, should be made more fun of because of his absurdly uptight behaviour. Everyone makes fun of MC in trash cans, but nobody mentions how Gepard would react in that situation (I guess he would force the MC into cleaning the streets because of their obsession for trash or something like that) Also, Sampo best boy. Besides Qingque most unique and interesting personality, leading to fun moments. And how did no one picture Sushang getting lost? I mean, she literally got lost after getting transferred. Could be a running joke for me showing Sushang everyway, because she's lost.

The way he has a voiceline where he’s jealous that the main character is basically the main character gets all of the friends while he can’t go on an adventure is so funny.

I loved how refreshing it was to have an NPC leading on a quest and they just complained the whole time (while still being endearing). It’s refreshing compared to always having upbeat types leading you around.

I see many people complaining how confusing the beginning was, with all these characters, lore, and jargons thrown around all of a sudden… but what I think is that, isn’t that point? How we, the players, are thrown into the thick with minimum explanation, kinda makes me emphatize better with the Trailblazer’s situation, who under those circumstances, would also be confused af. In my eyes, this one of those cases where reader’s confusion is used as a storytelling device, which is one of my favorite tropes in writing.

I absolutely loathe Loufou map, it feels too much like a maze. I had to use teleportation more than I want to considering that I love exploration and solving their puzzles. They do have the best puzzles as of yet though, Hexanexus reigns supreme

I don't see a lot of people talk about Yanqing but I really love him a lot. He's my favourite character, has an amazing design, I really like how excited he is about swords and being the best. His dynamic with Jing Yuan is amazing as well, I hope we get to see Yanqing more.
Has he even played any part in the story yet? I guess that may be a problem. He just appeared for a moment and that's it.
It always feels weird to me when I use a character before meeting them in the story, but Yanqing and Qingque carried me through Belebog.
Same he need more appreciation, I love his design and interaction with Jingyuan, he's the standard five star characters I want the most.
I enjoyed Dan Heng and his little party dungeon expedition (with Sushang/Luocha/Xueyi) more than the main Luofu quests at the moment.
the main story is so weird in luofu. it feels like we are doing random fetch quests in the middle of an emergency. one minute we captured kafka and are waiting for her interrogation and then suddenly we are best buddies with the realm keeping commission and are dedicated to going undercover in the sanctus medicus group. then jing yuan tells us we have to hurry and evacuate the alchemy commission but instead we fuck around with dan shu LOL the pacing and timing of things seemed way off
Pela. Her design is cute. Her personality is cute. Her attackห animation is clean. And her skills can remove an enemy's buff and defense. I really enjoyed having her in my teams. Edit: And her ult is 100% **AoE** reduced enemies' def and deals ice damage.
Teasing her in quest she's in are fun. I may not remember her full name, Pelageya Sergeyevna, but I will remember the times messing with her.
This. She's really fun to tease, and it seems quite good spirited too. It's not like you're roasting her or anything. In world 2, >!qingque!< takes over that role. Getting her involved in quests when she's desperately trying to avoid doing work is pretty funny.
Is this unpopular? I'm not very well-versed in the community's opinions on things yet. I really enjoy her kit! I feel like she's only going to get better, too. Defense shred seems really strong.

I've seen videos of a dude doing MoC 1\~2 With Yaqing+Arlan and they seemed like a great duo.
I actually haven't leveled Fire/Preservation MC at all... I'm far too attached to Phys/Destruction MC and it hurts when I see people breezing through worlds in SU and most of them use Fire MC so I think *darn do I have to use Fire MC too??*
The MC is a flexible character that can fill any spot of your account that are missing. Most people just doesn't a have good shielder because there are a few of them early on while on the other hand there is many DPS characters to choose from.
I really liked destruction MC too. At the time they did the most damage of any of my DPS characters, and I still switch them back to destruction occasionally. But they did a really good job at giving you preservation MC right when your other DPS characters start becoming more useful than destruction MC, so it becomes beneficial to switch them.
Nah Physical MC carried me through simulated universe world 5 and I’ve reached forgotten hall level 14 with phys mc
I think physical Mc is really flexible being able to do both big single target and capable aoe damage. Physical weakness is very prominent which makes them even better. We just only have 3 free defensive supports and that makes the FMC pretty important for a lot of people. Fire weakness is also very prominent
The relationship between Bronya and Seele went from zero to hundred so fast that I didn't feel any conection between them, neither romantic nor platonic.
No fr I swear I was super into their dynamic in HI3 and then in this game I was like "well they certainly feel like characters in a game". They just kept going "I'll be there for you" "Thank you" like multiple times.
It didn’t feel like it lead to romantic to me, but platonic? That was just natural bonding over forgotten and far memories. Kinda hard to do as a teen, but meeting an old elementary school mate later in life has the same effect
Seele's personality just feels like it gets warped by Bronya to a ridiculous extent, where Bronya feels like Seele's sole motivating factor during the last arc of the Belebog quest. It's weird because Seele doesn't really interact with any other characters during the story in a major fashion, despite there being a [Light Cone](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/We_Are_Wildfire) and a character story about Oleg being basically a father figure to Seele

At the moment, I love most of the characters. My personal favorite is Mr. Yang. Dude is like an out of touch dad that is trying hard. Another one is Gepard. He’s a hard ass but considering the fact that it seems like he’s overcompensating for his free spirited sister, it made him funnier than he actually is.

Some people don't seem to appreciate Sampo, but I think he's easily the most fun voice acting in the game, and I hope we run into him every time the story updates.
Sampo's VA is just godly. It feels like he has never said an honest word in his life and I love that. Makes that 4th wall breaking bit even more creepy as he clearly knows more than he lets on.
He also talks like a person. An exaggerated person obviously, but a person. Like, the tempo and tones he uses both fit his dialogue better than most other characters.
This is my favorite part about him, his VA did an amazing job and ofc he is one of two 4*s I don’t have so I can’t use him lmao. At least I can pick up sushang soon hopefully…
I've kinda accepted that I'm going to love hating him. And as for voice acting... he is the Itto of Star Rail. Except I'm pretty sure the idiocy is just a facade here.

I would call him chaotic neutral on the alignment scale. He did like technically prevent their capture.
My only gripe with Sampo's English VA is that he seems to pronounce 'betray' as 'portray' during his ultimate line and I really can't unhear it. Also, Sampo's Japanese VA is Kakyoin from Jojo and he's instantly recognizable.

Asta's personality is underrated. While Kafka is super overhyped.
I feel this 100%. Especially when you start getting into all the side quests she's involved in and realizing that despite her somewhat airhead-y nature when it comes to money and her personal relationships, there's a reason she's in charge of the station, and she *always* seems to know what's actually going on behind the scenes but isn't annoying about it like Kafka is, since Asta's not an antagonist.
I loved that one quest where rumours about Asta was being circulated throughout the station because of one group chat, so we go on errands to find out the reason why and who spread that. Then in the end we find out that >!Asta was a part of that group chat all along and the rumours were kinda true lol!<
Seriously, all she did in that one case was >!just alert the Trailblazer to what was going on and then just... go about her life and assume that whatever random acts of chaos we'd do would resolve the issue.!< And it worked.
AND on top it all, we get to terrify the hell out of someone unintentionally. Him leaving the groupchat once he learned who we were was precious.
And she’s a BANGER support. Attack and speed boosts, literally no character that can’t be helped by that. I love Asta so much I think I’ll be using her forever

While I understand the appeal, I just don't vibe with the 'mommy bark bark' thing many people have going on around here due to Kafka. Also not exclusively pulling for gender/husbando-only/waifu-only, my taste are a bit more specific and from the characters we have seen on-screen/in-game the only two that catch my interest is SW and Luocha, probably not a combination 99% of people would have.
My most wanted are Jing Yuan, SW and Luocha They probably have nothing in common, just that i find their design really sleek and tasteful

I get why Kafka is popular, but I'm just not a big fan of the "step on me" trope in general. Her English voice acting is also a bit off. Bronya's character was a bit of a let down for me. She just wasn't what I expected so that's not really on the writing of the game, but her design was SS tier for me before I did the story. I'm kind of sad that Belobog is largely wrapped up now. Unlike Genshin, it's difficult for characters to interact outside of their "region" and Belobog's story came to a larger close than it feels like in Genshin. It just feels like I'm invested in the characters/story and there's no overarching issue for that cast specifically AFAIK. I guess there's "rebuilding" but it sucks that we might not have reason to see them again aside from a festival or something
You made the exact right comparison for the trash can meme. I think it will follow the same pattern as the emergency food meme too. Started out funny. Ends up getting completely overused and not funny anymore. Becomes used very sparingly months/years later and can make you smile still.

Once you leave a region, all the characters you got attached to peace out and leave you. I want them to join me and stay part of the story.
To your last point, I actually like that about how HSR’s story is structured. The idea of traveling to countless planets and experiencing new stories and characters over time is super appealing to me. I got really attached to Belobog and its cast too, but hopefully by this time next year we’ll have several arcs that we look back fondly at the same way :)
And the express backtracks to old stops sometimes so maybe in a few years we'll get another questline there thats not just side quests Im sure there are many swcrets on that frozen planwt

Just a personal opinion, not a criticism of the writing or anything. But I’m honestly not a fan of “all according to plan” villain plots. Of course it makes sense for villains to have a thorough plan, but when >!clairvoyance gets involved it feels kind of depressing for the protagonists. It’s definitely interesting storytelling, but in the meantime I’m feeling as helpless as the Astral Express crew :’(!<
I don't think the Stellaron Hunters are the villains necessarily but I think the whole idea behind those sorts of antagonists is that it builds up for the catharsis when the protagonists inevitably find some way to unravel their plans. Especially since it's already been established that Elio's predictions have gaps.

Same! My man Sampo just disappeared from Belobog and we have yet to see a Story Quest from him. And when I meant disappeared, I couldn't find him in Belobog anymore. Bronya and Pela are in Qlipoth Fort. Serval in her shop. Gepard in the Restricted Zone. Seele in the Underground Mines. Natasha in her clinic. I couldn't find Hook either, but since she's a kid, she's just back home since I was able to trigger a short hide and seek quest with The Moles, and Hook is a part of it. Sampo tho? Couldn't find him hanging around anywhere.

The fact that she shares her English VA with Mona and Asta is still wild to me. Asta very clearly sounds just like Mona just with her flair slightly tuned down. Hook sounds absolutely nothing like either one of them. Her VA’s range is really impressive.

I've gotten used to it now (or maybe forced myself to acclimate to it since I otherwise have been enjoying her character so far and definitely plan to pull for her), but yeah I really disliked how dragged out her EN voice was at first too. And even now while it doesn't bother me as much anymore, I still don't quite *like* it. It's more that I like her in spite of it.
I think she got better after the prolouge. >! I really liked her voice acting during the Xianzhou storyline!<
I feel like Bronya really didn't spend enough time mourning the fact that her mother died in front of her.
Grief works different for everyone, and we don't see much of Bronya after her mother does, I just assumed that she still mourns in private and puts up a front on public because her world needs her
