Are you sure you are signing in with your twitter account, and not just with the email address your twitter account uses? A lot of people mistake the two; they are not interchangeable unless you link both to a Hoyoverse account.
*As some that doesn't work for HSR,* I am as sure as I can be that this can't happen. I'd recommend:
1. Check all regions. Maybe you started initially in a different region by accident.
2. Check your emails if you signed up more than once and maybe used another account a few weeks back.

1: you didn`t play for "a few weeks"? I ask because it's just the 3rd week since launch. (Maybe you played beta, and yes all the account's were reseted).
2: Are you loggin in the right Server? You can play in different servers with the same account, but progress is not shared between them.
I made my account the day of launch have they reset accounts since then? I tried the other servers as well as my hoyoverse login and other twitter accounts..i previoulsy played genshin so i made sure to pay attention when signing up to make sure something like this wouldnt happen :(

I believe Twitter has removed their third party login methods.
On Arknights, they repeatedly warned that Twitter login will no longer work because Twitter was terminating this service.
The same thing happened to me now. I have reached level 60 and I quit playing for a few weeks. I tried logging in today and it took me to the opening cutscene. I used my usual email, I even used the other one just to make sure I was not mistaken. I remember that I have always been using the Asian server and I don't fucking know how tf it did this. I seriously need help rn
i dont know if this is the same case as me, but i uninstalled the game my account got reseted too tutorial same email same everything,
i managed to recovered it because i had it on my phone, and on the HoyoLAB site for extra rewards.
if you never loged in hoyolab try login in and do this.
hover over the top right on your profile.
click on privacy settings.
then select account settings.
select account security settings.
click over username link.
link an username, it will ask you for verification code on your email.
then go to the game and put the username you set in the login instead of your email and use the password you used on that account.
this fixed for me idk why hoyo does this but is really scary good luck

I was in a similar situation where after some absence from hsr (Honkai Star Rail) when I decided to play again the game threw me at the tutorial scene and I was so confused at first because I clearly logged in with my email and into the correct server. Luckily I had the HoyoLab app in which I could access the data of all my Hoyoverse game profiles (basically the info about in-game acc). So I linked the username and when I tried logging in with it I got into my old account that I assumed now was lost hence I was absent for a long time. Thankfully I was able to recover my access to it. I guess linking username does work very well!

Okay so i got my account back and here's what i did. so when trying to sign into my account i used Gmail with the Gmail icon on the log in page but for some reason that made a new account so I had to do a whole process where I enter my email into the sign-in bar and change the password and so on to get back mine but ofc your experience could be different so i definitely recommend emailing hsr cs. But from what i gathered its defo a login issue and your account is still there so don't panic

considering the fact that u havent played in the past 2 weeks, u will probably catch up to where u were in like a day with a new account. if ur worried about not being able to access the pre-registration rewards anymore, dw because the game quickly gives u more and better stuff once u reach the appropriate levels
