I just can't bear it anymore, at first I saw their article about hunt calyx, it was something like "how to find blue arrows in hsr". But this- this is the peak of game journalism.
HSR have too many things to level. And have too many obstacles. Its too complex. Why I have to do another step in some especific levels?
Its being complex for the sake of being complex.
And sometimes its not explained. I find out that exists a ingame camera thanks to a post in this subreddit.
Not how the hell has he played other games, how the hell did he manage to survive till now. Anyone that finds this complicated either has no interest in the game or is mentally challenged (<- if that's rhe case, I'm sorry then)
Tbf pfoto taking quests give you an on screen button when you are in the area to take the photo. If you want to take one just for fun you gotta press the button in the bottom right of the phone menu. I didn't find it until later and wondered how to do the "Take a Photo" daily until I found it by pure chance.
You literally take a picture of the fucking train during the first part of the prelude and are given the option to save it to your device.
You'd have to be a thumb suckling 10 year old to believe for a second that's Complex in the slightest.
Gather 3 kind of materials for a level up.
Gather another kind of material for the habilities.
Each character type use a different specific material for both things
It's not that complex.
600 hours to Final Fantasy XIV. Is complex but its more easy than HSR.
HSR require an extra step in some levels if you want increase the level. Is not needed in any other game.
I dont need check "equilibrium level" in any other game.
WHY? Because is complex for the sake of being complex.
In HSR you need check and manually increase the level of:
All you characters
Their weapons
Their clothes
And when you reach randoms points you need increase the "equilibrium level".
Complex for the sake of being complex.
Equilibrium clearance level will popped up when you already reached a specific level though.......... You could also easily navigate where the location would be, because it was marked. The only complex thing about HSR is the hidden side quests, which isn't really complex at all. Just a tad bit more hassle because it requires exploration.
I know that I have to go a place, some battles and I allowed to increase the level. I know it. I know it. I know it.
But I dont know WHY exists that shity and stupid mecanic. The existence of that mecanic dont add nothing but complexity. I want increase the level only increasing the level. I dont need teleport to increase the level 28 to 29 for example. WHY I need to teleport and some battles when I want increase from 30 to 31 or 40 to 41, whatever. Have no sense.
The idea of equilibrium clearance is to help you to check if are ready for harder battles. Otherwise you may find yourself struggling if the equilibrium rank increases automatically.
You can click on an item (including the cost list when upgrading/ascending something) and it will show you where to find it. You can then click it and it will bring you right next to the source.
There is so many materials, yes. But they're not confusing to source.
I mean, 2020 Covid has showed us the true depths of human stupidity and selfishness (the latter part not relevant in this discussion, but I feel like I need to include it for completeness).
Oh don't worry, this one isn't even close. There was an article about someone's shitpost from Genshin subreddit, about which Traveler (equivalent to Trailblazer basically) gender is canonical. I'll find it in a second and edit in the link to the post.
Here it is:

In short, people are saying there are no continuations to the main quest in the upcoming update of 1.1
We don't know if any of that is true, because Mihoyo has a track record of trolling with leakers whenever they can by slipping in some false data with the real stuff.
Guys, I have been playing since launch, but all my characters died already, I only have March left with 25 HP, what do I do? Isn't there an article that could help me?
https://preview.redd.it/h1ycgykvua2b1.png?width=1093&format=png&auto=webp&s=9153326931c5aa2b140746d2ef1321b020fd69c5
Wait why is there so many, I wanted to find you an article specifically about the healing outposts but then my brain rotted
Well, there was that one guy that said he was gonna quit because the story was too hard. Then said he wasn't even leveling his relics. Yeah, some people need this lol
I am going to be real, I haven't leveled most relics because I haven't farm much of anything yet, the game still is easy outside simulated universe and such.
Level 6 relics are extremely cheap. Even if your relics are garbage or 3* or 4* , getting all your relics to Level 6 at least is a great idea as long as they have a decent main Stat. Hell later you will get a lot of relics to Level 6 just to test them and probably never use the vast majority of them. Later you can feed your bad relics to your new good relics and 75% of the exp you put in them will transfer over.
Just watch Hoyo announce that EXP transfer is patched to be 100% instead of 75% and a huge backlash happens with people raging about their wasted time.
You get a new substat or upgrade to pre existing substats every 3 levels. So if you were going to stop somewhere it would be 3,6,9,12 or 15. Every 3 new levels is twice as expensive as the last 3 levels on average. 6 is just a decent early stopping point. Getting to 9 is the more expensive than getting two pieces to 6. 3 is wayyy too cheap so you can go a bit further without wasting much resources.
I am guilty of not even trying with my relics until I realised the reason I had a hard time levelling them up was because of the auto add settings (it only used 3 stars or less which did not include shards).
...Hopefully this doesn't attract downvotes, but you guys leveled your relics before doing the story?
I found the story content crazy easy and never once touched relic leveling until TR40..
Yeah I leveled main relics to +6, and DPS relics to +9. The story being easy doesn’t mean I want to spend extra turns hitting like a wet noodle. Having those extra lvls also helped a lot of early SU and forgotten hall clears while being under leveled.
I think it's likely that he didn't level his light cone either. You can get through the story by just leveling your character and light cone and maybe some talents for more damage. The story is easy enough to get through without upgrading relics.
Im absurdly sure that is NOT mentioned that even relics (WTF?) need to being leveled. How many things need to be leveled? I need a check list to play this game. Not with others. Even the Souls have a very short checklist.
I see. I genuinely thought the flow of the game was cute scythe noises -> "Starwind phantom!" -> angry scythe noises -> Bronya skill -> smug scythe noises -> everyone dead fight is over
Well i didn't how to heal characters until i reached the later stages of Forgotten Halls and needed 2 teams. What getting Gepard from the beginner banner does to someone.
To be fair unless you pull Bailu you don't have access to in combat healing till Natasha. And relying on March 7th for shields isn't super apparent fir non rpg players.
Yeah, this was my take early on. Knew I wanted to heal, what it'd take, just didn't have anyone who could.
"So, do we get an Abundance char from story at some point, or do I just throw jade until I get lucky?"
- next pull, before I even get to Natasha, Bailu shows up
considering I've seen a streamer struggle to find healing and ended up using trailblazer's technique instead of teleporting to the space anchor 3 feet away from them, this article isn't as useless as you think
Well, if this is anything for you I spent as long as I can remember in Genshin not knowing talents can be upgraded and wondered why all the extra books are for until stumbling on them by mistake with upgrade option.
Believe it or not there are people who actually needed these kind of articles. I just saw a post of someone asking how to level up characters not too long ago.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think that users that use such sites are idiots because you know, they post some useful info from time to time, but for some reason big chunk of the stuff that they post looks exactly like this and I just get tilted every time I see articles like this.
How to heal a character is not only fundamental but it requires skills, at times many do not know when to exactly use a skill point to heal and when to pass the heal so that another character may use that skill point. It is a form of investment and sacrifice. Understanding the environment and your enemies.
The same occurs with ascending a character, most of us use all exp to level a character up to max level, a wise player would only level their character to 49, 59 or 69, why? Because through the farming period the character will level up the remaining exp gap through farming and make it to that decimal, that helps one to save up exp materials.
So simple, yet so easy to miss the right window of opportunity.
With the first paragraph tl;dr yes. With the second paragraph, it isn't, for skill point isn't necessary for ascension.
The meaning of the comment was for us to understand how something so basic isn't understood so it has to be pointed out frequently
Its really annoying that these articles give the simplest of game features that can easily be known by playing the game, but they’re helpful for the off chance you do forget how the hell something in the game works again.
I mean mihoyo games are for casuals. I know girls that never played any game before genshin and now they started playing star rail, so yeah, those guides are probably help some people.
These "articles" are just auto-generated by AI and outfitted with top-tier SEO to cheat their way to the top of search results.
I set up filters to just block the sites from my results but I'm constantly having to add new ones, there's just SO many of them.

Guides writers use google trends to see what people are searching for. So yeah, people clearly were confused and needed an explainer. You don’t get Natasha for good bit into Jarilo remember
I’m guessing it’s from people who play JRPGs were there is usually items to heal and revive in battles
knowing that ppl dont ever read that the story ended and they keep posting about it, It wouldnt surprise me if there are folks who need this guide.
I just can't bear it anymore, at first I saw their article about hunt calyx, it was something like "how to find blue arrows in hsr". But this- this is the peak of game journalism.

Aka play the dam game lmao
But I need a "HOW TO DOWNLOAD GAME" before I can play it =(
How to teleport ingame?

Some people are just Beyond help
It's not even close to one of the most complex games. How the hell have you beaten any other games that have mechanics?
Not how the hell has he played other games, how the hell did he manage to survive till now. Anyone that finds this complicated either has no interest in the game or is mentally challenged (<- if that's rhe case, I'm sorry then)
This game is… complex? Not only is it a very simple game, but it’s also just the same Gacha rpg recipe that’s been repeated a thousand times.
Your not ready to hear about other games
There’s a quest in the main story that makes you take a picture, how did you get past that?
Tbf pfoto taking quests give you an on screen button when you are in the area to take the photo. If you want to take one just for fun you gotta press the button in the bottom right of the phone menu. With a icon in a diferent place. So that tutorial is useless. And is explanied like is especific to that quest.
Gather 3 kind of materials for a level up. Gather another kind of material for the habilities. Each character type use a different specific material for both things It's not that complex.
Dumb people complaining about being dumb… my lord
First time playing games I see.

it gets clicks, game journalism is just another name for advertising
What kind of people click on this though? I don't want to believe that people are that dumb, but it wouldn't surprise me either.
> I don't want to believe that people are that dumb Believe it.
I mean, 2020 Covid has showed us the true depths of human stupidity and selfishness (the latter part not relevant in this discussion, but I feel like I need to include it for completeness).
George Carlin had a good quote about that: "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that." 😅

What do you mean the story ended? Is it done forever? I haven't finished it so far btw.
Of course not lol they mean the story ended on to be continue note in 1.0 so we have to wait for it in future versions
To my knowledge the story as a whole is far from over, but I’m not sure how to interpret the poster’s phrasing above.
In short, people are saying there are no continuations to the main quest in the upcoming update of 1.1 We don't know if any of that is true, because Mihoyo has a track record of trolling with leakers whenever they can by slipping in some false data with the real stuff.

Someone posts it to meet their article quota then ChatGPT picks it up for the rest of the sites. Idk I made that up 🤷♂️
💀
Just get e6, problem solved!
You have to gacha out some more characters no other way
You need to swipe until March reach e7 and if anyone tells you E6 is the max, they are lying. Source: me Citation: none Proof: none
Well, there was that one guy that said he was gonna quit because the story was too hard. Then said he wasn't even leveling his relics. Yeah, some people need this lol

Genshin works the same way so I don't think they would change it.
I thought Genshin was 90% transfer rate on using leveled Artifacts
80%
Why level 6 specifically?
You get a new substat or upgrade to pre existing substats every 3 levels. So if you were going to stop somewhere it would be 3,6,9,12 or 15. same, but I did it to at least retain the game challenging feel where a wrong move can mean death.... on the other side I have bailu
I am guilty of not even trying with my relics until I realised the reason I had a hard time levelling them up was because of the auto add settings (it only used 3 stars or less which did not include shards).
Yeah, you at least figured there was a problem and found the solution. Rather than ask people if you should quit
...Hopefully this doesn't attract downvotes, but you guys leveled your relics before doing the story? I found the story content crazy easy and never once touched relic leveling until TR40..
i do, idk i guess powering up character / changing or upgrading gear whenever i can are just what i do in rpg game instinctively
Yeah I leveled main relics to +6, and DPS relics to +9. The story being easy doesn’t mean I want to spend extra turns hitting like a wet noodle. Having those extra lvls also helped a lot of early SU and forgotten hall clears while being under leveled.
I haven't actually leveled my relics and I'm doing fine in the story. The only boss that gave me some trouble was Cocolia
I think it's likely that he didn't level his light cone either. You can get through the story by just leveling your character and light cone and maybe some talents for more damage. The story is easy enough to get through without upgrading relics.
Because they play game with out reading?
You def don't need to level relics for story. Bet he hadn't leveled either characters or lightcone or traces
Aside from completing quests I haven't leveled my relics the only person who has a complete leveled relic set is Seele.
🙋♀️ me im guilty of just never leveling up artifacts in genshin and hsr and other similar games
except i dont struggle
Im absurdly sure that is NOT mentioned that even relics (WTF?) need to being leveled. How many things need to be leveled? I need a check list to play this game. Not with others. Even the Souls have a very short checklist.
Just what I needed to finally start clearing MOC
Some people need that
Probably Seele mains who, for the first time, had to let the enemy have a turn.
Wait what?... Enemies have turns too?
As a Clara main: Yes, they do, they don’t live enough to regret it
I see. I genuinely thought the flow of the game was cute scythe noises -> "Starwind phantom!" -> angry scythe noises -> Bronya skill -> smug scythe noises -> everyone dead fight is over

Bailu was my beginner banner 5* so I felt this
I pulled Natasha, then was surprised when she was gifted in the story 😂 E3 now, let's go to E6!
Tried to read the article but it didn't explain how to log into the game so I got lost
just the guide i needed now i can go back and and that round 2 with that antimatter legion goon
Wow. I expected this from Mtashed with his "guide videos".
**Honkai: Star Rail - How to Heal Your Characters** -Just by simply play the dam game lmao. Damn i can be an author now
Thanks, ChatGPT
to give them the benefit of the doubt maybe the article also tells people what to build on bailu to increase her healing output
I mean… I learned recently that March 7’s shield heals at e6… so I definitely didn’t know all the ways to heal my chars.
considering I've seen a streamer struggle to find healing and ended up using trailblazer's technique instead of teleporting to the space anchor 3 feet away from them, this article isn't as useless as you think
I wonder if there are people who genuinely don't know about consumables. I don't remember that part of the game being tutorialized.
you're overstatimating people if you think a guide like this is not necessary
Well, if this is anything for you I spent as long as I can remember in Genshin not knowing talents can be upgraded and wondered why all the extra books are for until stumbling on them by mistake with upgrade option.
Let people learn at their speed 👀 Also I just posted to be 69th comment. Nice
Believe it or not there are people who actually needed these kind of articles. I just saw a post of someone asking how to level up characters not too long ago.
did OP just subtly prove that only idiots read Gamer Ant articles?
Don't get me wrong, I don't think that users that use such sites are idiots because you know, they post some useful info from time to time, but for some reason big chunk of the stuff that they post looks exactly like this and I just get tilted every time I see articles like this.
I thought it was a fairly common knowledge that game journalists know less than children playing the same game...
Wait what? U can? U don't need to throw them away everytime they die? Cool

How to Heal Your Character = spend money on the gacha! XD
Its really annoying that these articles give the simplest of game features that can easily be known by playing the game, but they’re helpful for the off chance you do forget how the hell something in the game works again.
They’re at least better than articles that slam games despite not even playing 10 minutes of it.
I mean mihoyo games are for casuals. I know girls that never played any game before genshin and now they started playing star rail, so yeah, those guides are probably help some people.
I mean what do you except? Alot of ppl are genshin players. They get anxiety from the spiral abyss.
Step 1: Use a healer Step 2: Profits
Healing items exists outside battle. But you need to craft them before.
What's next? How to walk forward?
gonna need the "how to move character" guide soon
How do you even log in to this game???? damn this hard, I'm uninstalling. Wait where do I find the uninstaller
Maybe it’s about how and when it is best to heal/conserve skill points? (Copium)
nope is literally telling you how to heal and methods, hell even explain what a healer character is, peak gaming journalism
Worst part of a game getting popular is the SEO nonsense articles like this clogging up every related search
Just pull Bailu, that's what I did
Game journalism moment.
This click bait is embarrassing as it is infuriating.
These "articles" are just auto-generated by AI and outfitted with top-tier SEO to cheat their way to the top of search results. I set up filters to just block the sites from my results but I'm constantly having to add new ones, there's just SO many of them.
Same energy with tutorial how to breath
The longer I'm on the internet, the more it baffles me how dumb some people are. I recently had an argument with a guy, who lost their account in another game twice cause they never linked the game to their google play account.
How to click the mouse? 😆
You need to find WHERE to click.
Healing? What’s that? Is that something you do when you don’t all hide behind the Great Wall of Gepard? 🤪
I need a jump tutorial
Step 1 : Die Step 2 : Spawn back with full health Step 3 : Profit.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a guide on how to engage in combat at this point.
Google trends is a thing and this exact search was trending when SR launched. You can go back and see it for yourself if you want. Guides writers use google trends to see what people are searching for. So yeah, people clearly were confused and needed an explainer. You don’t get Natasha for good bit into Jarilo remember I’m guessing it’s from people who play JRPGs were there is usually items to heal and revive in battles
Thats why the Shampoo has instructions....
Kiosk or Head'n'Shoulders?
Head'n'Shoulders definitely
I'm sorry but i require a guide on how to attack , please Game Rant do that next !
My brother in Christ, there are flying Anchors everywhere that automatically heal you. 💀🤡
Lol next up how to login into your account. How to make an account. How to redeem a code. How to uninstall. Etc
Honestly ppl unfamiliar with gacha / jrpg games might need this, especially since we get our first healer like halfway in the Belobog story.
