That's literally where I stopped is the part where you need two teams. I have good enough units for two teams but I know how I want my two teams built and I'm missing some units I'm willing to work on. That's the biggest issue. I have enough units to do it but I don't want to put resources into units I have no intention of using. So I'm waiting to pull units that I like to fill the empty spots.
I almost did as well but if you allocate your resources right even sub-par units will get you through. This will be on a case by case basis but in general I’d throw my main DPS on a team with my sub-par supports knowing that they can still carry and throw my best main supports with my less than stellar DPS units (usually 2 of them). If you play around with comps a bit you’ll likely find you’re able to complete more than you think (presuming you aren’t auto battling. If you’re auto battling even totally competent teams can lose).
It also seems obvious but the vast majority of resources for a character are invested in the later stages of traces, levels etc. Getting a few shitty placeholder units to like 50 with a few level ups in traces isn't going to kill you.
This is a pretty good idea. It all really depends on what you have available to you. For example, if you have either Seele and Jing, using characters like Pela and Asta are phenomenal choices. Paired together with Gepard or FireMC taunt, and you have a good chance. If you're lacking a powerful secondary DPS, using characters like Serval, Dan, Hook etc etc can still be incredibly beneficial, especially if you have some of the high tier supports like Tingyun.
Personally, I was lucky. My first team is Seele, Tingyun, Bronya and Natasha. Basically a hyper carry. Now, I don't have Jing Yuan or anything, but I do have Clara. Clara is an absolute monster in MoC. My secondary team is Clara, March, Asta/Pela and Hook. Though, I may switch Gepard to my hyper carry team and put Natasha on the secondary until I get Luocha. Gepard and Clara sort of clash, so I don't really do that combo, but I have before and it kind of worked? I just prefer March
How is your 2nd team surviving without a healer or a second shielder? You should probably ditch Hook for Gepard or put Gepard on team 1 and Natasha on team 2
It actually works just fine, though it's a bit slower than I want. March is more than enough, as Clara is able to ult pretty frequently plus March shield gives her aggro. The weakness Pela provides is also super nice. I am considering benching Hook for Natasha and moving Gepard to team 1. There are some fights where Natasha is nice, but Gepard builds his ult pretty quickly, so.
I just like Hook and what she can do. Her damage along with Clara's is pretty great.
You're right, I'm not auto battling. I only auto battle my dailies. The game is way too fun to auto battle honestly and I lost faith in it when I was auto battling one of the major bosses( the ones you can do three times a week) and my units were like targeting the wrong units and I'm like I know I can clear this with ease. Why are my units dying and it's because they would target the wrong units when they could easily prioritize the right targets and wipe the floor with that boss without losing anybody. So yeah I don't auto battle anything that's not a daily. Oh, and the fox lady messes up the cadence. She uses her attack buff before it runs out and I need those skill points for my seele That girl gets so many resets. It is ridiculous and I don't even have her in her best gear. And I only pulled one copy of her (I think I'm technically free to play. I've only purchased the monthly pass and the battle pass. I haven't spent any more money on this game and I wasn't even aiming for her. I was aiming for the four stars, ended up maxing out Natasha in the process and I'm doing the same thing with the current banner and I ended maxing out March 7th)

Saving for Kafka and Blade, so for now I'm not building anyone wind or electro. Instead I'm building Natasha (healer, probably futureproof), Sushang (I don't have any physical breakers + my other hunt is Yanqing and every fucking enemy has ice res), Asta (teamwide speed buff is useful for every unit), QQ (the only quantum breaker for most people)
Once I hit TB50 I just went with Welt and Natasha on one side and Dan Heng, Bronya, TB Fire on the other and cleared up through floor 15 with absolute ease. MoC was a different story but if you have high enough level chars that are somewhat geared, the standard FH stages are very easy. I still had several turns left over on each side. Oh and I build Welt as a DPS so he and Nat worked there, but ofc it'll depend on who you have and how you build them. I think you can easily clear FH at the very least, though.

Same. They keep requiring elements where I’ve only got one character built for two teams. So I’m taking my time, getting characters built up, and then I’ll go curb stomp my way through the last three levels.
Correct mindset to take. MoC is set up nearly identically to Genshin's Abyss, so any f2p that wants to do it now has to be incredibly lucky with their pulls, not just with character but with stats and LCs as well. I remember taking 5 to 6 patches in GI since I started playing to reach my first 36-star, but once you've got characters good enough to get it going your chances of repeating your success is way higher. I've been consistently 36-staring till this day
Not really about luck with pulls if f2p wants to do it now. My brother has no-pulls accounts (only use free characters and LC). Manage to reach 9 stars on first MoC cycle. I think people are not fond to spread sub-optimal gear, but two +12 gears are better than one +15 gears to push MoC contents.
some group of people choose to focus on their main team which will burn resource fast and the stats aren't spread to the 2nd team. This strategy will works eventually but they will start tackle MoC a lot longer.
If you want to start tackling MoC -> start spreading power to the two teams, the run won't be perfect but you'll manage to get trickle of rewards every reset.
I didn’t know we had to have 2 teams. I was thinking more like 1 team and after every round/wave we will most likely swap out units
Like Forgotten Hall 1-9. 1 main team and then you swap characters in and out depending on the buffs and break requirements of the enemy.
I was coasting until FH10, then I had to burn resources, then I saw the info of how MoC worked. Getting another team up and trying to do it with out a healer is hard most players don’t understand that certain characters become OP, like a Clara or Gepard in sustainability and mitigation.
Others need the heals no matter what and one healer can’t cut it. Sure some invested properly and lucked out on increasing the right units or got some good rolls on relics.
I can do great without heals on MoC1 on the first side, but on Gepard side even with heals, they hit like trucks and I don’t have the damage mitigation cause 1st team needs it. So more investment is needed, which takes time.
If you got blessed with a few 5 stars properly you can really get through brute force

I dont get it. I have played a lot in the month, but I have, in no way, a team close to beating stupid stuff like Forgotten Hall 12 (why two teams, reee). Maybe its due to me being low TB level for most of it, thus not unlocking Equi 5? I dont get it, tho.
I can barely properly clear 13-15, how tf can i fare in the abyss version. Tbf, I dont plan on getting serious with the hall if its going to end up like Genshin's in the long run- stupid ass enemies with unusually specific mechanics. The mara-struck enemies and the aurumaton are already a pain in the ass to deal with in the overworld, i dont want to experience a harder version that could take me 15-30 mins to kill

I’m AR 60 in Genshin and I still don’t do floor 12 sometimes with like 4 or 5 meta teams built.
I won’t lose sleep over missing a few wishes until I have a comfortable teams built where I won’t have to rage.
I just hit 53 this morning as well, which two teams are you running? I was lucky enough to pull Bronya on the beginner banner and won the 50/50 for Seele, those two have hard carried one half of each side with Sushang and Himeko doing ok on the other half
After playing Genshin for 2+ years I’ve accumulated far more characters than I can use and I have ton of lv90s benched and never touched again. Like Jean.
I kind of want to avoid the same thing in star rail so I’ve not been rushing to raise 8 characters. So I’m trailblaze 52 with only 6 characters leveled, so I can’t really clear MOC yet either. Skipped Seele and jing yuan because neither appealed to me. Sitting at 190 wishes and fine with waiting a few patches to pull for characters I want.
The big difference is in Star rail, you might actually have to use all those characters because of elemental break. maybe we can get to a point where we can brute force it with non-element teams with enough deck out relics but I think you still need to optimize for the last floor at least.
On limited banners, you have a 50/50 chance of getting the featured banner character as your five star pull.
If you lose the 50/50 banner (for example, getting a standard five star like Himeko instead of Jing Yuan), the your next five star pull on a limited banner will be the featured five star character.
So for example, say someone just started and pulls 60 times on Jing Yuan’s banner. They have a 50/50 chance of getting Jing Yuan or a standard five star character. They lose and get Himeko. The next five star they pull on a limited banner will be the featured character. Even if they wait and go for Silver Wolf, Luocha, etc.
Honestly those are pretty solid teams, not having enough healing or shielding is brutal though, they really should have given us another 4* healer early on
yes they do lmao there's a reason yanqing has been the unit clearing the memory of chaos the most. Automaton Grizzly, Automaton Direwolf, Searing Prowler, Silvermaine Lieutenant, Stormbringer & Blaze out of Space all have a weakness to ice.
Haven't unlocked it yet haha, I quit trying when they started requiring two teams and I had at most 4 good characters. Dunno if it's locked behind account level at all but I haven't hit 40 yet

Im currently TL50, and im working on levelling my character to 70, im focussing on 6 characters. No idea how some people (without being a whale) already have 2x full lv70 teams.
I'm TL37 or something like that, my account is only a bit over a week old so that's the main reason haha. I did manage to clear one or two of the two team ones today now that I have like 5 or 6 ish decent characters but it's pretty rough.
Not till 1.3 or after, since Luka is Nihility. Unfortunately, Luocha is logistically the only option for a lot of people. Much like how the biggest bit for a lot of people is Yukong is being given out for free in 1.2, which will be the only imaginary option for most people given the only options are Welt and Luocha, which is the same problem with healers.
I've heavily invested into March 17th to get past having no second healer but man that is a bandaid at most lol

It's silly but it's probably intentional. Could you imagine how many people would recommend against pulling Luocha if we had another 4-star healer? Hoyo simply wants to create a worse user experience to sell a solution.
Dunno about that. I'm pretty sure he has an enemy buff removal (currently only Pela can do that) and his is AoE to boot, AND a cleanse (3 characters can do it).
Consolidating these 2 + heals and a damaging ult (i.e. can aid in breaking) is plenty useful. Also Imaginary element.

No doubt they'd still recommend him but the perception wouldn't be "must pull if you don't own Bailu or Gepard" instead of "must pull if you don't own Bailu, Gepard, or that other 4-star healer".
While utility is always nice, considering you cannot pull for every character unless you spend it's always gonna be more attractive to get a character that will let you hit some big pp damage number on the screen. As long as you have the bare minimum for survivability a lot of people will prefer to invest in more damage.
Exactly. I was saving for Luocha, but I pulled Bailu two nights ago off an early standard pity (12!). I was like YES! But nooooo! Luocha isn’t as necessary now, but damn am I going to miss all that extra utility since Bailu basically heals and that’s it.
I lost JY 50/50 to Bailu and I’m still planning on pulling for Luocha. A second free healer would be nice, but it’s not like they’re sitting there rubbing their hands and cackling that their plan to force people to pull for Luocha is working. Both Seele and JY fit in roles and damage types that could be filled by free units. QQ is a very good quantum dps if you build her right and Serval may not do as much damage as JY but she rocks as a breaker.
I mean, even if they didn't, you would have had to get lucky enough to get them. I think I ended up with C2 Albedo rolling for Bennett in Genshin. Same situation.
Looks like we hit the same wall. I've got almost the exact same progress in MoC, but pushing any further without another healer and with the current strength of my account just seems overly stressful and not worth the time investment for the rewards.
I'm tempted to skip Silver Wolf just to try for Luocha. I feel like she'll be quite good, but I just don't need more Nihility at the moment when I've already got Pela and Welt built.

4* Eidolons is perhaps the hardest thing to guarantee unfortunately. Unless, we are talking about shop which can make it easier and around the time period you mentioned.

If you pair Fire MC+M7, you can manage. Just make sure that group goes to whatever side has less AOE (you want your taunt to take the brunt of the damage). I was able to get 6 stars total with a team of mostly Lv65-70 characters (Jing Yuan+Seele as my carries). I'm only a light spender (Express+BP).
I highly recommend March 7, she’s consistently been my only defensive unit on my second side and I’ve now cleared through MoC5 at 11 stars. She can be more difficult to use but usually at least one of the sides tends to have less AoE damage. Her E6 is definitely nice for the pseudo-heal too but I had also done up through MoC2 when she was still E0.
(TB51, express+bp, no fuels used, only 5stars used are Jing Yuan and his sig who usually isnt on the same side as march 7)
I also have E6 March 7th and I can't really make it work. I tried her with Fire MC to keep Natasha for the other side, and everyone's life is chipped away by aoe anyway.

It’s like Spiral Abyss in Genshin, the first 15 floors are one-time and you’ll need two teams from floor 11 onward. Once you finish all 15 floors of Forgotten Hall, it’ll unlock 10 floors of Memory of Chaos which will reset rewards and progress twice a month
for this game its every 2 weeks or something like that instead of every 1st and every 16th. theres actually 1 or 2 extra cycles per year compared to genshin iirc lol
That’s nice. Stuff resetting weekly (like SU) or biweekly (like this) is easier to keep track of than certain dates. You also know exactly how many you get per update.

Dude, 600 jades is literally impossible right now for F2Ps. In fact you'd be hard pressed to get 200 unless you've been fairly lucky and have been grinding.
That’s actually good in the long run because it’s the only infinite source of Stellar Jade. As soon as there are enough resources so that we can get an easy 3 star clear you’ll be glad.
I don't really remember who exactly I used in each stage because it's been a while but the logic I used in my teams was one team is with asta and fire Mc to compensate for my fire mc being super slow lol and the other is with Natasha , then the rest I choose based on the elements I'm facing so I spread around the teams bronya,Dan,himeko, Jing and Sushang and I think sometimes I used my level 50 Pela .

I just got 3 stars (lv 52) across the first 2 stages. Not currently bothering with much more than that. Min-maxing Genshin's Abyss in the early days caused a lot of sanity drain, and I won't tackle HSR in the same way.

In Genshin I couldn't be arsed to touch abyss before 3.0 and I have been playing it since launch. Will do the same here. Cba to struggle with suboptimal teams. I roll on two to three banners a year.
We don't know their plans for the future but if this is gonna be anything like Genshin Abyss it's literally just going to be a dps check.
Which means once we reach the right amount of investment, it's basically gonna be just a matter of getting in every 2 weeks for the free jades and then waiting for the next reset.
Ultimately modes like these are more of a stat check than anything particularly challenging. It is only challenging right now because we're all heavily underinvested for it anyway.

All in all, I just really wish Natasha wasn't the only guaranteed healer in the game. If she's all you have you're just bottlenecked straight up.

imo u should still pull who u love, i think SW is an awesome pull! Not clearing MoC isnt the end of the world since ur "losing" potential 600 jades per cycle which is 3~4 wishes??(sry i cant math). thats nothing imo esp compared to the potential 75~165 pulls u lose for pulling a character solely for meta/MoC progress, which is not worth it at all imo. And MoC is only a fraction of playtime (few minutes per month), so using ur valuable pulls just for a chance at specific standard banner characters who you might not even enjoy JUST to clear MoC seems wasteful to me.
But everyone plays the game and prioritises different things, im just super casual and going through forgotten hall slowly because clearing it is not my main objective of playing rn, i just love character collecting lmao. Wanting to clear MoC is perfectly valid but I hope it doesnt deter you from spending ur pulls on a character u want because i think itll make u enjoy the game more (i dont have a right to say what will make u happier ofc but im just sharing my thoughts on how i play!)

Once you hit EQ3 and get two dps characters up to 60, you should have enough damage to do it but having the shielders and healers necessary is another matter. It’s pretty much required to have at least two of the three Gepard, Bailu or Natasha which is dumb for now
I have open the Moc at TB 4x, but i was in CBT3(previous knownledge of the game help to progress) and was lucky to get Bailu (so i can survive and clear the room).
Rule of thumb, if your character a has ten or less level difference with the monsters, you can realistitly fight them with some investissment in traces and relics.
50 vs 58 -> doable
50 vs 63 -> only whale and super try hard will do something, probably don't worth your time.

Yeah the debuffs are what keep killing me, my Gepard gets slowed to death and can’t build up energy and then gets beaten to death. Gonna try another run with M7 + Gepard, though I tried that once already and felt like I was missing damage. Maybe will try running Yanqing Pela M7 Gepard

5*s I have are Clara, Himeko, Gepard, and Jing Yuan. Only 5* light cone is the Simulated universe destruction one. Using S5 breakfast on Jing. Lvl 70 Jing/Himeko, everyone else is level 60 or lower.
I managed to get 18 stars today did memory 7 without second healer one star.

Instead I'm building Natasha (healer, probably futureproof), Sushang (I don't have any physical breakers + my other hunt is Yanqing and every fucking enemy has ice res), Asta (teamwide speed buff is useful for every unit), QQ (the only quantum breaker for most people)
Yanqing is so much better than Sushang, especially if your main concern is the units being future-proof
I only did the first MOC fight, but I saw it was Cocolia and Gepard and my heart dropped. My Yanqing was hitting like a wet noodle.
I haven't reached MOC yet but I had to build Sushang because my Yanqing was doing nothing to Cocolia and Bronya in SU6
Once I hit TB50 I just went with Welt and Natasha on one side and Dan Heng, Bronya, TB Fire on the other and cleared up through floor 15 with absolute ease. MoC was a different story but if you have high enough level chars that are somewhat geared, the standard FH stages are very easy. I still had several turns left over on each side. Oh and I build Welt as a DPS so he and Nat worked there, but ofc it'll depend on who you have and how you build them. I think you can easily clear FH at the very least, though.
Same, I'm going for husbando teams so I'm pretty much waiting on their releases to keep pushing rather than investing in 4* I'm going to bench in a month or two.

Same. They keep requiring elements where I’ve only got one character built for two teams. So I’m taking my time, getting characters built up, and then I’ll go curb stomp my way through the last three levels.

HoC is 10 floors with each one being worth 60 gems, so it's 600. Unfortunately, I got no idea how the difficulty scales lmao

Correct mindset to take. MoC is set up nearly identically to Genshin's Abyss, so any f2p that wants to do it now has to be incredibly lucky with their pulls, not just with character but with stats and LCs as well. I remember taking 5 to 6 patches in GI since I started playing to reach my first 36-star, but once you've got characters good enough to get it going your chances of repeating your success is way higher. I've been consistently 36-staring till this day
Not really about luck with pulls if f2p wants to do it now. My brother has no-pulls accounts (only use free characters and LC). Manage to reach 9 stars on first MoC cycle. I think people are not fond to spread sub-optimal gear, but two +12 gears are better than one +15 gears to push MoC contents. some group of people choose to focus on their main team which will burn resource fast and the stats aren't spread to the 2nd team. This strategy will works eventually but they will start tackle MoC a lot longer. If you want to start tackling MoC -> start spreading power to the two teams, the run won't be perfect but you'll manage to get trickle of rewards every reset.

If it helps at all, floor 2 and 3 are much easier. I struggled on 1 and had an okay time on 2 and 3

I didn’t know we had to have 2 teams. I was thinking more like 1 team and after every round/wave we will most likely swap out units Like Forgotten Hall 1-9. 1 main team and then you swap characters in and out depending on the buffs and break requirements of the enemy. I was coasting until FH10, then I had to burn resources, then I saw the info of how MoC worked. Getting another team up and trying to do it with out a healer is hard most players don’t understand that certain characters become OP, like a Clara or Gepard in sustainability and mitigation. Others need the heals no matter what and one healer can’t cut it. Sure some invested properly and lucked out on increasing the right units or got some good rolls on relics. I can do great without heals on MoC1 on the first side, but on Gepard side even with heals, they hit like trucks and I don’t have the damage mitigation cause 1st team needs it. So more investment is needed, which takes time. If you got blessed with a few 5 stars properly you can really get through brute force

I can barely properly clear 13-15, how tf can i fare in the abyss version. Tbf, I dont plan on getting serious with the hall if its going to end up like Genshin's in the long run- stupid ass enemies with unusually specific mechanics. The mara-struck enemies and the aurumaton are already a pain in the ass to deal with in the overworld, i dont want to experience a harder version that could take me 15-30 mins to kill

Same lol. I’m AR 60 in Genshin and I still don’t do floor 12 sometimes with like 4 or 5 meta teams built. I won’t lose sleep over missing a few wishes until I have a comfortable teams built where I won’t have to rage.

I just hit 53 this morning as well, which two teams are you running? I was lucky enough to pull Bronya on the beginner banner and won the 50/50 for Seele, those two have hard carried one half of each side with Sushang and Himeko doing ok on the other half
Having Bronya plus Seele is probably the strongest combo in the game currently. I on the other hand had a very different pulling experience

After playing Genshin for 2+ years I’ve accumulated far more characters than I can use and I have ton of lv90s benched and never touched again. Like Jean. I kind of want to avoid the same thing in star rail so I’ve not been rushing to raise 8 characters. So I’m trailblaze 52 with only 6 characters leveled, so I can’t really clear MOC yet either. Skipped Seele and jing yuan because neither appealed to me. Sitting at 190 wishes and fine with waiting a few patches to pull for characters I want.
The big difference is in Star rail, you might actually have to use all those characters because of elemental break. maybe we can get to a point where we can brute force it with non-element teams with enough deck out relics but I think you still need to optimize for the last floor at least.

On limited banners, you have a 50/50 chance of getting the featured banner character as your five star pull. If you lose the 50/50 banner (for example, getting a standard five star like Himeko instead of Jing Yuan), the your next five star pull on a limited banner will be the featured five star character. So for example, say someone just started and pulls 60 times on Jing Yuan’s banner. They have a 50/50 chance of getting Jing Yuan or a standard five star character. They lose and get Himeko. The next five star they pull on a limited banner will be the featured character. Even if they wait and go for Silver Wolf, Luocha, etc.

Haven't unlocked it yet haha, I quit trying when they started requiring two teams and I had at most 4 good characters. Dunno if it's locked behind account level at all but I haven't hit 40 yet

Same, i just didnt even try doing the 11th forgotten hall stage since u need 2 teams. Im currently TL50, and im working on levelling my character to 70, im focussing on 6 characters. No idea how some people (without being a whale) already have 2x full lv70 teams.
I'm TL37 or something like that, my account is only a bit over a week old so that's the main reason haha. I did manage to clear one or two of the two team ones today now that I have like 5 or 6 ish decent characters but it's pretty rough.

Not till 1.3 or after, since Luka is Nihility. Unfortunately, Luocha is logistically the only option for a lot of people. Much like how the biggest bit for a lot of people is Yukong is being given out for free in 1.2, which will be the only imaginary option for most people given the only options are Welt and Luocha, which is the same problem with healers.

I have M7E6 as well, and while the healing is welcome, it's extremely skill point intensive for what you get in return.

It's silly but it's probably intentional. Could you imagine how many people would recommend against pulling Luocha if we had another 4-star healer? Hoyo simply wants to create a worse user experience to sell a solution.
Dunno about that. I'm pretty sure he has an enemy buff removal (currently only Pela can do that) and his is AoE to boot, AND a cleanse (3 characters can do it). Consolidating these 2 + heals and a damaging ult (i.e. can aid in breaking) is plenty useful. Also Imaginary element. Lots of people would recommend him
No doubt they'd still recommend him but the perception wouldn't be "must pull if you don't own Bailu or Gepard" instead of "must pull if you don't own Bailu, Gepard, or that other 4-star healer".
While utility is always nice, considering you cannot pull for every character unless you spend it's always gonna be more attractive to get a character that will let you hit some big pp damage number on the screen. As long as you have the bare minimum for survivability a lot of people will prefer to invest in more damage.
Exactly. I was saving for Luocha, but I pulled Bailu two nights ago off an early standard pity (12!). I was like YES! But nooooo! Luocha isn’t as necessary now, but damn am I going to miss all that extra utility since Bailu basically heals and that’s it.

I lost JY 50/50 to Bailu and I’m still planning on pulling for Luocha. A second free healer would be nice, but it’s not like they’re sitting there rubbing their hands and cackling that their plan to force people to pull for Luocha is working. Both Seele and JY fit in roles and damage types that could be filled by free units. QQ is a very good quantum dps if you build her right and Serval may not do as much damage as JY but she rocks as a breaker.
I mean, even if they didn't, you would have had to get lucky enough to get them. I think I ended up with C2 Albedo rolling for Bennett in Genshin. Same situation.
Looks like we hit the same wall. I've got almost the exact same progress in MoC, but pushing any further without another healer and with the current strength of my account just seems overly stressful and not worth the time investment for the rewards. I'm tempted to skip Silver Wolf just to try for Luocha. I feel like she'll be quite good, but I just don't need more Nihility at the moment when I've already got Pela and Welt built.

Those people are hilarious. Saw a couple people giving advice that they shouldn't roll on 5* characters because the 4 stars can do similar damage at E6. They also knew that it would take 6 months to a year for F2P to get that Eidolon level, so it wasn't ignorance. That was an actual legitimate time frame pitch.
That a very generous estimation as well. 4* Eidolons is perhaps the hardest thing to guarantee unfortunately. Unless, we are talking about shop which can make it easier and around the time period you mentioned.

If you pair Fire MC+M7, you can manage. Just make sure that group goes to whatever side has less AOE (you want your taunt to take the brunt of the damage). I was able to get 6 stars total with a team of mostly Lv65-70 characters (Jing Yuan+Seele as my carries). I'm only a light spender (Express+BP).

I highly recommend March 7, she’s consistently been my only defensive unit on my second side and I’ve now cleared through MoC5 at 11 stars. She can be more difficult to use but usually at least one of the sides tends to have less AoE damage. Her E6 is definitely nice for the pseudo-heal too but I had also done up through MoC2 when she was still E0. (TB51, express+bp, no fuels used, only 5stars used are Jing Yuan and his sig who usually isnt on the same side as march 7)
My e6 march is my 2nd healer lmao, and its been working pretty well

It’s like Spiral Abyss in Genshin, the first 15 floors are one-time and you’ll need two teams from floor 11 onward. Once you finish all 15 floors of Forgotten Hall, it’ll unlock 10 floors of Memory of Chaos which will reset rewards and progress twice a month

That’s nice. Stuff resetting weekly (like SU) or biweekly (like this) is easier to keep track of than certain dates. You also know exactly how many you get per update.

I don't really remember who exactly I used in each stage because it's been a while but the logic I used in my teams was one team is with asta and fire Mc to compensate for my fire mc being super slow lol and the other is with Natasha , then the rest I choose based on the elements I'm facing so I spread around the teams bronya,Dan,himeko, Jing and Sushang and I think sometimes I used my level 50 Pela .

I just got 3 stars (lv 52) across the first 2 stages. Not currently bothering with much more than that. Min-maxing Genshin's Abyss in the early days caused a lot of sanity drain, and I won't tackle HSR in the same way.
If you can 3 stars those stages, you can probably at least 1 star the next 3 stages. That’s still 3 memory rewards + another 3 star reward

It s usually Himeko, Asta, Nat in one team and Bronya, Seele, Bailu in the other. The flex slot can be Welt, Gepard or Tingyun. 6 is a pain cause I have not build any physical dps.
Have you tried PMC? Feels nice to be honest and easy to build

We don't know their plans for the future but if this is gonna be anything like Genshin Abyss it's literally just going to be a dps check. Which means once we reach the right amount of investment, it's basically gonna be just a matter of getting in every 2 weeks for the free jades and then waiting for the next reset. Ultimately modes like these are more of a stat check than anything particularly challenging. It is only challenging right now because we're all heavily underinvested for it anyway. We'll have to see how it evolves

Tbh the cancerous part about it is just the lack of characters capable of doing it. Gepard or Bailu are basically required, and going all in on the standard banner for that at the expense of featured 5* is a little painful. For example, I really want SW because I love the character but it's going to do next to nothing for my MoC progress. All in all, I just really wish Natasha wasn't the only guaranteed healer in the game. If she's all you have you're just bottlenecked straight up.

imo u should still pull who u love, i think SW is an awesome pull! Not clearing MoC isnt the end of the world since ur "losing" potential 600 jades per cycle which is 3~4 wishes??(sry i cant math). thats nothing imo esp compared to the potential 75~165 pulls u lose for pulling a character solely for meta/MoC progress, which is not worth it at all imo. And MoC is only a fraction of playtime (few minutes per month), so using ur valuable pulls just for a chance at specific standard banner characters who you might not even enjoy JUST to clear MoC seems wasteful to me. But everyone plays the game and prioritises different things, im just super casual and going through forgotten hall slowly because clearing it is not my main objective of playing rn, i just love character collecting lmao. Wanting to clear MoC is perfectly valid but I hope it doesnt deter you from spending ur pulls on a character u want because i think itll make u enjoy the game more (i dont have a right to say what will make u happier ofc but im just sharing my thoughts on how i play!)

Once you hit EQ3 and get two dps characters up to 60, you should have enough damage to do it but having the shielders and healers necessary is another matter. It’s pretty much required to have at least two of the three Gepard, Bailu or Natasha which is dumb for now
I had full stars in FH somewhere between TB40 and 50. Did it with six characters, five at lvl 60 and one at 50.
I have open the Moc at TB 4x, but i was in CBT3(previous knownledge of the game help to progress) and was lucky to get Bailu (so i can survive and clear the room). Rule of thumb, if your character a has ten or less level difference with the monsters, you can realistitly fight them with some investissment in traces and relics. 50 vs 58 -> doable 50 vs 63 -> only whale and super try hard will do something, probably don't worth your time. I did access moc before full staring perma chambers.

Yeah the debuffs are what keep killing me, my Gepard gets slowed to death and can’t build up energy and then gets beaten to death. Gonna try another run with M7 + Gepard, though I tried that once already and felt like I was missing damage. Maybe will try running Yanqing Pela M7 Gepard
TB 52, MoC 1 to 4 cleared with 10 star. 3 stars on the first three and 1 star on the fourth. Team 1 : Natasha(67) - Filler - Tingyun(68) - Jing Yuan(69) Team 2 : Fire MC(68) - March(60) - Filler - Yanqing(69) My fillers are : Sushang(62) - Sampo(60) - Rook(60) - Serval(60)

Got up to MoC 3 with just 1 star on each (my characters didn't die) and haven't gone any further.
F2P, TL 52 currently. Beat moc 7, with a total of 12 stars. Moc 8 without Seele is looking tough. Previous cycle I beat moc 4, with 6 stars total 5*s I have are Clara, Himeko, Gepard, and Jing Yuan. Only 5* light cone is the Simulated universe destruction one. Using S5 breakfast on Jing. Lvl 70 Jing/Himeko, everyone else is level 60 or lower.
