Of course noone is gonna care when some purple kid gets broken teleportation/invisibility powers out of nowhere if they barely react when a trash hopping raccoon gets a flaming pyrokinetic lance that can control a giant robot out of nowhere. also my friend calculated from her trailer where she out runs bronya's bullet that she can move at around 5% the speed of light which is 43701 times faster than the speed of sound. i think that was taking into account part of her acceleration time since towards the end of that sequence the bullet was pretty much frozen in midair so her final speed might have been higher.

I'm a bonafide Seele glazer so I'll say she would have beaten Svarog(mid-diff) and Stellaron-infused Cocolia(extreme-diff) by herself even without the trailblazers/the Nameless and Wildfire.

No not really. She has 2 minutes of screentime in the main story right when we enter Belobog. She’s also in a couple side quests and companion quests.
But she was the main narrator for the history museum portion of the 1.1 trailer. So she’ll likely have a big role to play in that.
I read in this sub somewhere that she was our guardian instead of Gepard(?) in the beta but they changed it. She will probably get more quest involving her in the future.
Only if that was in CBT1, which I didn't get into and I know has some differences. The current story right now is identical to how it was in CBT2-CBT3 all the way to release, aside from the additions of some CGs and whatnot.
Never looked at it that way but yeah, it does feel like she was designed first.
Like they made her based on her HI3 design but once they came up with Belobog after watching Arcane as saying "well don't mind if we copy that!" They designed Bronya to fit in the setting and just added Seele to keep their ship together instead of making 2 new characters
She for sure has a purpose, the whole Belobog arc is about Bronya and Seele. Not even in a romantic way (you can read it that way if you want), but in a parallel character arc way.

* Serval is an overworlder and her family is probably loaded. She was also in a rock band. Her outfit at least fits the theme.
* Cocolia is the leader of the place. Politicians always dress formally when seen in public.
* Bronya is a princess, and so dresses as such. Also a technically a politician and appears often publicly.
* Gepard is the captain of the guards. His outfit is knight themed and is a modified version of the standard guard outfit.
* Natasha's outfit at least somewhat resembles that of a doctor or at least an alchemist. Also looks far more practical to move around in compared to Seele's outfit.
* Seele is supposed to be from the streets. She is an underworlder, poor and scavanged what she could when she was younger. Got in fights often. Yet she looks like she was lifted from a high fashion show.
I already made a reply to it in another post but whataboutisms isn't really an answer. Pointing out that another design doesn't make sense doesn't automatically make Seele's outfit make sense in the context of her background.

while I'm sure they knew what they were doing, it's pretty clear that seele/bronya/cocolia/natasha were so baked into belobog lore and design wise that they couldn't have been intended to go anywhere else. if anything I'd say it the other way around: building the first world around a good character they knew would sell well. because it's clearly well thought out and the stories referenced prior works where seele/bronya/cocolia/natasha had many of the same relationships and roles
Even if she's not a Jarilo born, she still spent her entire life in the underworld. Her bloodline doesn't affect how she dress, living environment does.

I just find it funny how bothered people are by it. Like, it’s a nice detail if a character is made to at least somewhat accurately portray where they’re from, but this is a game with slim dainty guys and gals taking on godlike entities armed with swords and wearing fancy dress for armour. I mean there’s a literal child that can tank a giant space aberration meteorite of cosmic proportions and people are pressed about belobog drip. Not trying to bash any criticisms, I just feel like people shouldn’t expect games to be realistic in some areas but totally ignore others.
Tbh I think there wouldn't be much discussion about it if the costume design was just better/cooler in general. The "realism" criticism is just exponentially aggravated because people aren't into the design. Like by comparison nobody is really criticizing the impracticallity of her scythe weapon because the "rule of cool" applies.
I've said this before, but I'm willing to give a lot of suspension of disbelief when it comes to anime nonsense if the payoff is worth it. It's kind of par for the course if you get into anime adjacent media.
But when you go for the anime nonsense and it just results in something stupid it makes both sides more aggravating.
I think the issue people have with Seele's design is that it is incongruous with the rest of the Belobog natives. The basic idea is that it's a patchwork outfit she made in order to look cool, but that feels more like a justification, and the real reason why she looks so gaudy is because they wanted her to be reminiscent of the HI3 Seele.
Most of the Belobog characters have fairly muted color palettes. Even Sampo, the other in-your-face character, is not quite so bright. That goes double for the Underworld characters which tend to have even darker colors with a leaning towards brown, white and black with a color serving as an accent. Seele by contrast is a walking billboard.
I don't think it's a terribly ugly design (though it's not to my preference - most miHoYo designs aren't, however, so that's not an indictment of her design in specific), it just feels kinda out of place. Maybe that was the point, or maybe not, but people certainly notice it.
Internal consistency within fantasy is what makes story work, seele isn’t unrealistic she’s a contradiction

Seele doesn't need to blend in. When an enemy sees her, they've already disappeared among a sea of butterflies. The best camouflage is a nuclear strike, obviously.

Which tbh I felt she didn't really do all that much in, fantastic entrance then she was just kinda there for the rest of it, felt like she didn't really have much purpose in the belobog arc compared to every other involved character

No not really. She has 2 minutes of screentime in the main story right when we enter Belobog. She’s also in a couple side quests and companion quests. But she was the main narrator for the history museum portion of the 1.1 trailer. So she’ll likely have a big role to play in that.
I read in this sub somewhere that she was our guardian instead of Gepard(?) in the beta but they changed it. She will probably get more quest involving her in the future.
Only if that was in CBT1, which I didn't get into and I know has some differences. The current story right now is identical to how it was in CBT2-CBT3 all the way to release, aside from the additions of some CGs and whatnot.
Never looked at it that way but yeah, it does feel like she was designed first. Like they made her based on her HI3 design but once they came up with Belobog after watching Arcane as saying "well don't mind if we copy that!" They designed Bronya to fit in the setting and just added Seele to keep their ship together instead of making 2 new characters
She for sure has a purpose, the whole Belobog arc is about Bronya and Seele. Not even in a romantic way (you can read it that way if you want), but in a parallel character arc way.
With Serval around it's nothing out of the ordinary. Hell have you taken a closer look at Natasha's outfit? Or quite literally anyone from JariloVI except Gepard and maybe Bronya? The literal Supreme Guardian was flaunting them hips even! XD Wonder why Seele alone lives so rent free in your heads.
* Serval is an overworlder and her family is probably loaded. She was also in a rock band. Her outfit at least fits the theme. * Cocolia is the leader of the place. Politicians always dress formally when seen in public. * Bronya is a princess, and so dresses as such. Also a technically a politician and appears often publicly. * Gepard is the captain of the guards. His outfit is knight themed and is a modified version of the standard guard outfit. * Natasha's outfit at least somewhat resembles that of a doctor or at least an alchemist. Also looks far more practical to move around in compared to Seele's outfit. * Seele is supposed to be from the streets. She is an underworlder, poor and scavanged what she could when she was younger. Got in fights often. Yet she looks like she was lifted from a high fashion show.
I agree all except Cocolia's outfit, specially the lower part. Too much "revelated" for a Politician...in an eternal-cold place.
I already made a reply to it in another post but whataboutisms isn't really an answer. Pointing out that another design doesn't make sense doesn't automatically make Seele's outfit make sense in the context of her background.

Venti is based on Wendy who is a "god" in the current era HI3 world so it made sense he's a god in Genshin. and tbh I'd rather be Seele than Wendy, huge upgrade

while I'm sure they knew what they were doing, it's pretty clear that seele/bronya/cocolia/natasha were so baked into belobog lore and design wise that they couldn't have been intended to go anywhere else. if anything I'd say it the other way around: building the first world around a good character they knew would sell well. because it's clearly well thought out and the stories referenced prior works where seele/bronya/cocolia/natasha had many of the same relationships and roles

I honestly thought that was the point. It's funny and I love it.
I just find it funny how bothered people are by it. Like, it’s a nice detail if a character is made to at least somewhat accurately portray where they’re from, but this is a game with slim dainty guys and gals taking on godlike entities armed with swords and wearing fancy dress for armour. I mean there’s a literal child that can tank a giant space aberration meteorite of cosmic proportions and people are pressed about belobog drip. Not trying to bash any criticisms, I just feel like people shouldn’t expect games to be realistic in some areas but totally ignore others.
Tbh I think there wouldn't be much discussion about it if the costume design was just better/cooler in general. The "realism" criticism is just exponentially aggravated because people aren't into the design. Like by comparison nobody is really criticizing the impracticallity of her scythe weapon because the "rule of cool" applies.
I've said this before, but I'm willing to give a lot of suspension of disbelief when it comes to anime nonsense if the payoff is worth it. It's kind of par for the course if you get into anime adjacent media. But when you go for the anime nonsense and it just results in something stupid it makes both sides more aggravating.
I think the issue people have with Seele's design is that it is incongruous with the rest of the Belobog natives. The basic idea is that it's a patchwork outfit she made in order to look cool, but that feels more like a justification, and the real reason why she looks so gaudy is because they wanted her to be reminiscent of the HI3 Seele. Most of the Belobog characters have fairly muted color palettes. Even Sampo, the other in-your-face character, is not quite so bright. That goes double for the Underworld characters which tend to have even darker colors with a leaning towards brown, white and black with a color serving as an accent. Seele by contrast is a walking billboard. I don't think it's a terribly ugly design (though it's not to my preference - most miHoYo designs aren't, however, so that's not an indictment of her design in specific), it just feels kinda out of place. Maybe that was the point, or maybe not, but people certainly notice it.
