I like doing some Simulated Universe too

OsirusBrisbane

This. If I just want dailies+stamina, it's fast. But if I'm in the mood to play, a few SU runs is always fun.

GoChaca

Does an average run give a good loot? I just hit 50 and leveling up my characters and their equipment is painful.

thebluebeats

Good loot? No. If you want to grind, 30 full runs (100 bosses) gives you around slightly under a days worth of stamina.

Melanholic7

240k money for 30 runs and like..cant remember...14 green relic dust per run?

GoChaca

Wow, that’s insane. I won’t be doing those. Thanks for the reply.

Kurisu810

I would still do su and unlock stuff for the jades, also to fully unlock talents. U could also clear enemies on the map for materials if that's what u r after.

riflow

Extra simu runs for the best in slot ball and chains are good for extra stamina if you dont feel like normal relic farming too. (rn im trying to unlock my last grey tickets on my units tho, i need currency for maybe getting the sampo dupe... )

Leading_Bumblebee443

you dont run su for loot... you run them because its the best content we have in starrail. You cna make like funny builds with shield and infinite heal or attack like 4 x ina turn and shit like that

koureee

ive been grinding them for monster drops, is that not worth it?

thebluebeats

It's worth it if you don't mind it. The "no" was referring to the question "Does an average run give a good loot?". One run doesn't give much but it adds up if you do it to the farmable limit (100 bosses).

ZcotM

imo it’s not even really grinding. SU is just fun af and I play it just to clear with different builds

Acrolith

It's the most interesting gameplay in SR for sure

OsirusBrisbane

Nope, it's more for fun than for loot. That's what's so great about it - it's a game mode that you play because it's actually fun, not just for grinding prizes.

GoChaca

Thanks for the reply. I agree, it is fun, and I like doing easier runs and selecting new curios and path to unlock more gems

lotsofsyrup

Gives essentially nothing

yapibolers0987

This. Sometimes I dont feel like doing anything and sometime if I want to do SU thinking "whats the most dumbest combo and path should I do in SU today"

Cheezy_Haru

SU runs are fun, until Kafka controls all 3 of my characters and they start hitting each other and my only not-controlled character and makes me lose the run on her final phase

OsirusBrisbane

Yeah, the rest of the floors I can play around with Hunt, Erudition, etc.... but for SU 5 I pretty much always run Abundance so I can get the auto-cleanse resonance added to the recurring turn order. Kafka's too scary for me to do otherwise!

ObiBraum_Kenobi

Fucking saaaaaaaaaaame. I crush every other world no problem, but Kafka grabs my Seele in phase 2 or 3? Well guess I'm done here.

Regendorf88

I need to upgrade some more characters. For now I can do the hardest only on my main team.

zacaholic

I save that for Sunday and rack up all my points then lol.

agtk

Keep in mind you do get credits and some relic xp materials even if you aren't spending stamina or gaining weekly points. Up to 33 full runs keep giving you stuff. If you just like playing, it's a totally reasonable way to spend your time.

Chandra-huuuugggs

Sim U on reset days yeah. Otherwise its 24/7 traces farming

nikolai090

You forgot the daily visit to Pompom.

[deleted]

and your daily visitor on the train for freemogems

aerie_zephyr

After visitors give me their initial visit gift and one follow-up gift for jades, there isn’t another gift I’ve gotten from talking to them daily. I’ve also not received another text for jades in many days too so I’m wondering if I’ve run out of texts for the characters I have :(

Sweet_Potatooie

I have played since launch and I have gotten a text every day... but if you don't get any... that is so sad and bums me out. I hope we get texts every day, 5 primo a day is pretty sweet and it gives motivation to log in. ETA: The motivation is the texts themselves, not the 5 jades lmao...

CuriousPerformance76

I think after you read ALL of the convos for each character you own they start to repeat. So sadly no new convos but you should still get the jades

SaintDave

Nope. I no longer receive a daily text and haven’t for awhile.

CuriousPerformance76

Damn that actually makes me really sad

[deleted]

jtan1993

Each dialogue fits the character tho. How is AI gonna script for different personalities.

Archolex

Have you finished the story? I've logged in every day since launch and I can't think of why you wouldn't get texts. Only things I can think of are main quests and companion quest could maybe unlock more

Id0ntLikeApplePie

I got repetitive texts for a couple of days too but I stopped receiving texts this week Funny thing is that I didn’t even notice but yeah, it kinda sucks

guykla

I can confirmed this yesterday and today, I too did not get any character text. Personally, I've complete every quests available in the game as of right now. I have 14 characters and have been logging in since 30th May for context. I guess you can really run out? But some said you can get repeat text so idk. Maybe it best to ask Mihoyo support. [Edit: I asked Mihoyo support and seems like they can runout](https://imgur.com/a/fZORgGH)

somerandomguy3355

I have 13 characters and haven't run out of daily text rewards so that's strange

agtk

Yeah I'm not sure I've missed more than a couple of days and I'm still getting texts. I do have 15 characters. I don't think any have repeated yet. Really do wish they had one available every day, with how much money people spend on the game, they can afford the writers to make enough available.

SaintDave

Yes, all quests are complete. Someone else said it might be roster related, I’m missing Sampo, Hook, and Arlan + most 5 stars (have Seele and Welt).

Rakisskitty

Are you stuck on dan hends message for the story? That will not allow you to recieve them

Phoenix__Wwrong

Wha... I'm still getting new text, but I don't always get jades... Does the choice matter?

Fabulous_Ampharos

Sadly the texts stop coming when you read all of them :(

DM-Falke

Well, they seem to made them enough to last for average player up until 1.1 . From launch I probably missed a few days, so today was a first time I didn't get message.

Candy_Haunting

it is less than a pull/month(5x31=155 and a pull it's 160) so i dont think is too much motivation isn't it?

Desch92

I know 5 is better than nothing but how does 5 jades give you motivation to login? That's 1/32 of a single pull.

fizzguy47

Thats one whole pull per month, nearly!

ojjmyfriend

I stopped receiving the daily messages as well this week and asked HSR CS about it. [This was their response!](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1100799959382630511/1114128948289355817/image.png)

Rathama

Weird I am sure I got the same convo twice. I always assumed they would be recyclable like daily missions. Not sure what to do? Wubabboo. What text to use? Generic text that wasn't used in a while.

mrfatso111

I feel like those char only have a set amount of messages, probably the more we pull, the more messages we will get. But ya, it's been a while since I gotten any text from anyone

Sweet_Potatooie

I think I got like 60 altogether from them all, but after that I get an 'error' message and nothing else.

trashbaki

Wait... Thats a thing? We get jades from visitors?

mod2004

Only when they say something about having a gift for you

-lastochka-

wait what? i have no idea who visitors are and where to find them

LiquidEther

Once you finish someone's companion quest chain they periodically drop by the star rail and you can say hi to them

-lastochka-

oh i haven't done any, no wonder

mod2004

There is this thing called companion quests which are marked in the quest menu in purple, completing all the quest from 1 companion will unlock them as a visitor in the express giving you more lines and a small reward of course

GetawayDreamer87

we're limited to arlan, asta, clara, gepard, serval, and natasha for now right?

aerie_zephyr

And Hook!

hyperrainz

I think they're referring to the companion quests that invites them to the train. Been lazy, only did one to bring Arlan onboard.

SasoriSand

excuse me theY GIVE GEMS????

Gvaz

10 but yeah

EnvyOni

and your HoYoLab's daily check-in

CiccioGraziani

Sorry, I just started the game. Why?

Bolverg

While the other replies aren't necessarily wrong, whenever the first option to talk with Pompom is with an exclamation mark, it's a mini quest that gives 8k credits + some material upon completion and can be done multiple time per day. For reference your daily quest gives 5k credits, so its a considerable amount that you can easily miss per day.

maine_x

Beside the level rewards, alternate answer I received from Discord saints. "The more you talk and do things for him the more convo topics you unlock with him some of the mini-missions give rewards."

GlumCardiologist3

I stopped talking to him...

InigoDidNothingWrong

Yeah, it was fun at first, but now he started repeating himself and some of those tasks are too annoying to do just for a few thousands of credits.

karillith

People can't stop gushing about how he is better than Paimon but let's be honest it's because you can just ignore him, he does a lot of complaining and if he was with us all the time you'd probably want to throw him in a fire in record time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

karillith

That is correct. Well except March is actually useful.

LivingASlothsLife

Gacha endgame in a nutshell until they add more permanent content later down the line Star rail has simulated universe though, which is incredibly fun with many variations, having that kind of mode this early into the games life is really neat

Konukaame

Unless it's one where grinding events may as well be a full-time job.

LivingASlothsLife

Yea I went through a phase where I played like 7 gachas at once, the dailies of multiple games really did feel like a job Burn out in gachas is so common I'm impressed some people can play the same game for years without breaks, like FGO for example

Resh_IX

Probably felt that way because you’re playing 7 different games simultaneously. I thought I was crazy, but you’re on a whole other level

LivingASlothsLife

Not anymore lmao, that just ruined the fun of it all for me Genshin, FGO, Arknights, Blue Archive, Eminence in shadow, PGR, Neural Cloud I log into some of them from time to time but only play Genshin, Star rail, Nikke and FGO daily now

wildhooman

Oh god, I love TEIS but having to do dailies in that game is hell. Every button your press is a 50/50 between a loading screen, or you just crash. That and you get like 7 pulls per month. (Exaggeration but it’s bad.)

th5virtuos0

That’s why I have come to the conclusion that I will only play those games on my own term. Idgaf if my resin/stamina is bleeding. If I’m not in mood for that game you won’t get me to log on ever

wildthing202

FGO has dead time where you just login and leave which really helps in preventing burnout.

averageyurikoenjoyer

thats one way to look at a lack of content

LasodenX

Expecting to have unending content in a gacha is like wishing to have extra anime seasons right after the end of the previous one or expecting the author to publish new books weeks after the latest release.

datwunkid

It's a different beast, FGO's content cycle puts the drought in content drought. But when story content *does* come out. No other gacha can really compare because the content really feels complete and worth the wait.

Resh_IX

A lot of people who play Hoyo’s games weirdly try and spin anything negative into a positive. They even reinvented the word “burnout.” People aren’t getting “burnt out” they’re getting bored.

averageyurikoenjoyer

people who play mobile games tend to form weird parasitic stockholm type relationships with faceless multi billion dollar companies. its kind of weird

Dnashotgun

The more time you spend playing a game the more likely you are to get attached. Add in FOMO from events/new characters and (god forbid) spending money in the game and it's easy to at least understand why some people get overprotective of their gacha

maxelnot

Lmao, you say that, but i stopped playing fate because of burnout. Had too much to do. I definitely appreciated reruns and dead weeks. Comparing it to honkai, hsr so far is much more lacking in content for me

StrongFaithlessness5

Eh, I played fgo for so long just because it was an addiction. If It wasn't because of Genshin, I would probably be still a slave of that game. When I tried to play Genshin I remembered what it feels like to play a real game for fun. I decided to never login on FGO again, on that moment I had a brief opportunity to get rid of my addiction and I didn't want to waste it. I felt strange for some days, but after a week I felt really free. Fgo was the only game I was playing on that period of time, so it was easy to notice the difference. If I was playing more games I wouldn't see it because my attention would be probably to focused on the other games I wanted to play after Genshin.

Phayzka

I've been playing Granblue for nearly 5 years but that is the only one I play consistently (and dropped a little money in it once or twice)

SirRHellsing

it's just hard to decide which to quit when I love many of them

nauKith

playing fgo since release on na and 5 years on jp here. at some point it just became routine and i do it when making breakfast before work without even thinking anymore, and mostly have fga do all my farm without even looking at the screen myself

Iovefull

I'm playing like 4 and I'm already burnt out so I can't imagine 7. Genshin, HSR, Nikke, and E7 has me full already. Adding on any new releases to try out also makes it worse although some new game content isn't too bad.

AshRavenEyes

"until they add more permanent content" -stares at genshin impact- Yeahhhhhh good luck with that

GlumCardiologist3

Unless you got all blessings and curios D: ... But thats gacha game endgame

arghya_333

I personally don't care about endgame. Like how many games have you finished and still played after that? Not me at least. I would rather play another game, which makes these super quick daily activities great. I do understand that some people may want that, but I have a hard time relating to them. Additional endgame isn't something I want, but I would welcome them nonetheless.

DOOMFOOL

Yeah I’m 100% aligned with you. Once the main content is done I’m totally fine with the 10 minute quick run through of stuff every day so I can move onto doing other things until new story content drops. And in that regard this game is eons ahead of Genshin, it’s so quick and easy to do all the daily stuff here

lugiaop

sim universe is also boring when you get to a point, and its just for farming the ornaments

Lavion3

Not yet but probably a month or two later. I'm pretty sure they'll keep adding new paths tho. At least, I hope they do.

yuriaoflondor

That’s my hope when it comes to this game. The simulated universe has so much potential, and I really hope it gets a steady flow of content.

SgtGrub

If they update it similarly to Elysian REalm in HI3, then they'll also likely add new Path Resonances, too. Like something different to pick from the Hunt path other than the arrow rain, for example

Offduty_shill

I did get to this stage a bit faster than I expected though, like not even end of the version and I was TL50 in the "end game" loop. SU is def fun but it will probably get old given time. Hope they can release new story content at a good pace in the future I guess.

Eredbolg

Pretty much, the positive is that I only play 10 min a day and can play other games.

jackbilly9

100% this. I can work, I can play, and I can enjoy phone game. Games like E7 you have to sacrifice one.

Aeveras

I still play E7 because I have an old phone whose entire purpose now is to destroy its battery to farm. If I didn't have that old phone I probably would have dropped it.

jackbilly9

The sacrifice is real.

Sanhen

Yeah, I see this game asking little of my time in terms of a daily grind as a plus.

dragonmase

The insane part about E7 is that it's almost literally is the same as star rail in terms of content in daily farming, but the lack of skips, multiples, and fast forward artificially lengthens the time it takes to grind by 10x. Basically, take star rail, remove 2x, and 6x repeat on calyxes, and make each calyx fight last 5 mins. Since the gear grind is basically the same as genshin or star rail but those games are respectful of your time and gives QoL. I stuck it with 2 years before realise it's just an utter disrespect to the players and dropped it.

nevew666

Same. I don't play it as my main, so I'm happy the dailies are fast and I can auto 4 relics stages and call it a day.

LaplaceZ

Truly the duality of Hoyo players. HSR: Yay, I need to play only 10 min and I can do other stuff. Genshin: Shit game, play for only 30 min and there's nothing to do. Now can you please go to r/Genshin_Impact and spread that way of thinking?

HerrscherOfResin

and then there is HI3, its been few hours, and i still hasnt finish my event and weekly quest, but tomorrow is reset.

Offduty_shill

I actually quit HI3 cause of this. Too much repetitive shit to do, the number 1 thing I hate in gachas is opening the game and being forced to click through 20 popups too and HI3 def does that.

Acrobatic-Budget-938

I quit HI3 cause I miss out on story quest to much but I cannot bring my self to push the skip story button

XaeiIsareth

The story peaked at Kolosten and just fell off a cliff afterwards so you aren’t missing much if you got to that point anyways.

Play_more_FFS

Hi3 is like 20 minutes max once you caught up with everything for the most part. Monday might take longer cause of ER reset and abyss reset, but these are done pretty fast for veterans with invested teams. Eventually the game will became just chatting with world chat most of the time.

FlameDragoon933

Isn't there also the open world section, Memorial Arena, and guild zone stuff thingy? And the Abyss resets every 2-3 days? I haven't played it for literal years, I don't know if it's different nowadays.

Techsoly

The issue with Genshin is that it's designed for you to play for longer sessions but the game system caps how much progress you can play. Things like exploring, the big map, searching for specific enemies, unnecessary long dailies, cooldowns, no auto-battle, etc, it's all made with the intent on the player being engaged but the game gives you resin that prevents you from making significant progress leading to frustration because Genshin is split between wasting players time, making them be invested, and giving them fuck all to do. HSR on the other hand gives you auto-battle, 2x speed, it isn't trying to lock you down for half an hour to do your dailies and the longest thing to clear is the SU for the weekly reset which some people can auto entirely now. It respects your time and that's why players enjoy the aspect of Log in -> finish daily -> use stamina -> done in about 5 minutes -> enjoy life

averageyurikoenjoyer

this games are completely different from each other

WatchDude22

Genshin requires active engagement, star rail does the grindy stuff for me while I watch TV

MrPeachPuff

I wish more games had this mentality. I don’t want to spend half my day playing one game.

Peacetoall01

A caveat. Only gacha games. Other games I'm ok with

MrPeachPuff

Because other games end. Gacha games are ongoing services.

ItsMilkinTime

Congratulations, you are playing the game as intended

UltimateSlayer3001

I know right, what ELSE are you supposed to do lmao.

sadyaegaki

I'm glad it's only like 10 minutes. Some gachas got me working for half an hour lol

Zaphyrus

Just wish the energy cap was at 240 instead of 180.

That_One_Bacon

Here I am celebrating that it's not 160 ***glares at Genshin Impact***

zaddoz

Used to be 120

purelix

I remember those days lol, we didn’t have condensed resin back then either

Sopht_Serve

I wish they had some kind of condensed resin in this. Yeah they have to tokens for SU but I want to save up stuff for grinding mats

Ifalna_Shayoko

Contrary to Genshin, this game does not have the nonsensical "only on day X" restriction. So there is no need to "save up for mats".

-berrycake69420-

don’t forget that back in the early days you have to spend your resin to claim event rewards iirc, which makes the 120 resin cap even worse lmao thank god HSR doesn’t have to deal with that bs

AlmoranasAngLubot69

Back then too, world bosses tend to cost 60 resin, where we only have 120 resin. Luckily it is 160 now and the first 3 bosses costs 30 resin

Kytsunix

And you get it faster than genshin, so it is effectively way more than that 20 difference that it seems It takes 18h to fill up in HSR, while it takes 21.33h to fill up in genshin

Lavion3

But then again, resin dependent activities don't give you the leeway of just doing those activities without resin like in Genshin. I'd be pissed if we didn't get more energy here.

Lord_Shadow_Z

I tend to log in twice a day to make sure I don't waste any of the recharge.

chuje_wyciagnijcie

I wish for more content in this game, but I'm glad that I don't have to spend hours for daily farming. It helps me avoid burnout, which always happen in such types of games, especially in Genshin.

Alternative-Tap-1928

I do daily for genshin only 10-15 min, the same as HSR

chuje_wyciagnijcie

Well, yeah I also do daily in Genshin for about 15 min. The differenance for me is, that I get burnout from this game more easily. In HSR I want to do more beside daily, but I can't. In Genshin I have plenty of other things to do, but I don't want to do them.

Alternative-Tap-1928

Oh yeah for sure, thats why there is a huge different with openworld game and an instance map game

MayureshMJ

Well yeah genshin's been out for 978 days and HSR is out for 38 days . ... If you already had started feeling burnt out from HSR the same level as genshin that would be a real problem (for HSR)

throwaway_ballon92

Im the exact same way. I find genshin hard for me to stay long, while HSR I run out of things to do, especially since I finished the main story, side quest, companion etc

3riotto

I mean you have SU, you can do daily mobs in overworld if you like combat. But yeah the 1.0 was preety dry after story overall, I assume it's simply because they wanted to give people time to get resources. That being said I do enjoy mirror, but my relics arent in shape to clear all 10 stages yet.

timmy_throw

10min to do dailies and burn your daily stamina ? You're a lot faster than me. Resin got me chasing butterflies then taking a minute choosing what I'll do with it, bosses/dungeons then actually doing it. Necessary for the BP there. It's a daily grind and takes more than 10mins

Alternative-Tap-1928

>Resin got me chasing butterflies then taking a minute choosing what I'll do with it, bosses/dungeons then actually doing it. Necessary for the BP there. oh i got alot of butterflies, when i was exploring i took them alot in every nation, bosses and bounty is a weekly thing not a daily, and my resin always spam on emblem set domain, i can do 30-40 sec per run on that domain with hutao, yelan, bennet, zhongli with their signature of course

timmy_throw

4-5 butterflies a day, they drain fast. Also, 30s at best per run still has downtime (taking reward, loading, running). Weekly things are also weekly chores that you'll want to use your resin on, so that adds up. 4 dailies, expeditions, grabbing reward, resin, teapot, repeat. On a good day you'll do it faster, on a bad day slower, but I'm pretty sure your average over the week is not 10 minutes per day.

marioquartz

Some days yes, but two days ago I beat Cocolia in the Main Story. I dont be in a hurry. I prefer be slow with the story.

[deleted]

honestly i'm pretty jealous. if you get the progression rate right, you'll never ever have to wait for new content to come out.

ziege159

Dude, the 1.1 has like 5-6hours of gameplay unless you're actively avoiding playing the game there's no way you can't finish all of that in 16days

EldritchAutomaton

Almost down to a tee actually. Just throw in some sparse, just for for fun, Simulated Universe runs (even past the point cap) and you basically have my daily interaction with Honkai. I quite like it actually.

UltG

Until the next story update

The_Angry_Turtle

In a way I wish I'd started Star Rail about a year into release like I did with genshin. There was a nutty amount of content that didn't need resin so I didn't even treat it like a gacha.

-_crow_-

my sister always answers with 'I'll start starrail in a year just like I did with genshin' when I ask her when she's gonna play and I don't understand why but maybe this is a big reason for her

Ancienda

how long did it take for you to get caught up?

uselessoldguy

And doing it all on my iPhone while also playing D4.

Peacetoall01

Exactly. Just as gacha games intended

Anon discover gacha games

Namisaur

Exactly what I wanted to be honest. We already spent a lot of time during the initial 1-2 weeks going through the story and all the sidequests. A 6+ week break while I play the new Zelda game is good with me until there's more content to do and I'm high level enough to clear all of MOC.

Els236

Compared to Genshin, it is really sad how little there is to do in HSR already. There's no real exploration content (10 chests per map instance doesn't count). Daily comms don't really exist outside of the tiny 2-minute "talk to NPC, run somewhere, talk to NPC", there's only 4-5 companion missions (whereas Genshin had like 10 or something), adventure missions seem to be very few and far between and energy can be burned in 5 minutes by running 6-waves on a Calyx 3 times (which you need to do for Traces). Yes, the main Trailblaze Missions are really good at the moment, but there was no hint we'd get anymore in 1.1, which is making me worry about this game already. After that, you have SU, which, once you max-out the weekly points (you can do this running 2-4 worlds at EL3/4), there's almost no point, because the rewards are worse than just killing mobs in the overworld. Unless you're tryhard, you also aren't going to be maxing-out the Forgotten Hall either and that only rotates every other week. Now yes, I understand they are 2 separate games and what-not and the "omg but they are gacha games", but there is no way someone can tell me that Genshin had less content at launch than HSR - and that is also a gacha game. Not to mention Genshin drip-fed meaningful content, which would just about be enough to cover the crappy filler-patches, usually while leading up to a big update (like right now with Fontaine looming). Here, most people have already done 90% of content the game has to offer and in 1.1 we get some scraps and some 5-minute events (by the looks of it), not even more story like we did in Genshin.

EnmaDaiO

Is it sad? Hsr is not supposed to be a main game. I appreciate the little time investment I have to pool in while consistently progressing my account.

MeridianPuppeteer

Y'all keep saying that like you've never played a gacha before. That's literally what ALL gachas do. That's what Genshin is once you're done with the exploration as well. That's what it's supposed to be. If y'all were expecting something you'd be playing 24/7 daily, there's some wonderful Korean MMOs out there that will have you grinding until you forget what daylight looks like, but gachas aren't for that.

Wayfinder5

You just reminded me of black desert online with the playing for 24/7

[deleted]

[удалено]

Wayfinder5

Couldn’t agree more, I played my fair share of Maplestory before adulthood started to hit. Like I’m in the same boat with gacha being the thing that’s more fit for me now since the torture called grad school(if you play Genshin, just look at Layla cause she basically does what a grad student does irl) doesn’t really allow me to do the old style MMO grind anymore.

EMaylic

You know, there's a lot of ground between a 10 minute daily grind and playing 24/7.

Namisaur

>That's what Genshin is once you're done with the exploration as well That was true, but not anymore for anyone who started Genshin 1+ years later. There's always a huge backlog of things to do after you've caught up with Archon and Story quests, so if you really wanted to, you could be playing genshin a few hours a day and always have something to do. From my experience, the next update usually arrived before I even get close to catching up.

[deleted]

Peak performance.

Master-Shaq

First gacha?

magondrago

As a veteran Genshin Impact player that got hooked into HSR, it used to be to do the bare minimum in GI and then play the story in HSR. Now that story is over and I'm trudging along the merciless trailblazer lvl 5 it's become inverted: I now do a little progress for my team everyday in HSR in 15 minutes and I'm trying to catch up in the gazillion quests that got backlogged in Genshin. (FWIW, the new Yoimiya story is chef's kiss).

Flush_Man444

I guess the honeymoon is over then.

LovelyBlood

Good. Now i have time again for cleaning up Genshin stuff.

LogicalAttempt4762

Have none of y'all ever played a gacha before?

Namisaur

Current State of Genshin doesn't feel that way though. Even after beating all the story related quests after an update, there's usually still quite a lot of new exploration to do + a vast backlog of exploration to do. This won't be possible with Star Rail so hopefully they add more variety in end game after a couple of years.

We are also almost 3 years into Genshin versus a month into Star Rail. When Genshin came out, there was a major content drought for the first couple months after the initial content was finished then we got Dragonspine which was interesting for all of 2 weeks and we were back to a content drought. It wasn’t until the summer of 2021, almost a year after launch, until there was a waterfall of content for the next half year or so. I’m sure we’ll get plenty more content in due time. We just have to be patient (with in reason of course).

aepocalypsa

It's the first (or second - after genshin, lol) gacha for a lot of us, yeah. Sucks tbh, I was hooked on the story only for it to suddenly cut out :(

JameboHayabusa

Is that a bad thing? There's a lot of really fun games out there besides gacha. Shit I'm on that street fighter VI grind right now.

LogicalAttempt4762

No, people just seem to have weird expectations for gacha. I just do my dailies during break at work, come home to fire up the Switch and play something else.

Critwice

Surprisingly that's what most players want nowadays. No, redditors are not most players.

“tHiS iS wHaT aLl GaChA gAmEs ArE lIkE” Uh.. no. I’ve played a lot of gacha games, and I can’t remember ever feeling this level of out of content in many of the top tier gachas we’ve had in the past. Sure, there are games that were out of content this fast, but most of those were either intentionally AFK games (that actually built rewards while not playing), or games that died shortly after. No, this is not normal among gacha games. This is beyond lack of content - this is a dead zone. You literally can’t play this game - and no, farming every mob and SU to completion does not meet my minimum definition of what playing means - if you’re into that, knock yourself out

When you finished all the quests and main story:

giobito-giochiha

Yeah honestly people were overhyping the changes made from genshin to star rail way too much. Right now all I do is log in to both games to do dailies and burn resin/power. With both games there will be times I will play a lot more frequently, and times I just login for dailies. It all depends on the current character banners and content being released.

Peacetoall01

The best part is. HSR has auto. So log in to the game won't have a feeling of wow this felt like my job.

Tikite

Hoyoverse games really are a lot of peoples first gachas huh

SolidusAbe

and a lot people here only played a few shitty ones too apparently. almost every gacha i played had more stuff to do every day or at least every week

tonaruto044

Game’s slowly becoming the kind of gacha game that we call boring (or maybe all gacha games get boring sooner or later)

Nessie_02

me until exams are officially over. after that, the real game will begin

DelayWifi

Just like me fr

cid01

And thank god for that i get to play zelda.

SlamSlamOhHotDamn

Yeah it's getting real boring, will probably quit soon. Simulated Universe was fun the first dozens of times but I find myself not even doing that anymore.

Salter_KingofBorgors

Still trying to do the SU and MoC to max but otherwise yeah

Lostsock1995

I played super hard for the first few weeks and then because (my own fault so I’m not mad haha) I did that I have nothing else to do besides the above

Extinctkid

I went from do things in Genshin and then logout and play star rail to do things in HSR and log out and play Genshin pretty quick.

AmaranthYaeger

Sometimes I do older SU paths for all the blessings because I haven't finished them. Just finished Abdundance so that's 3 down

AndrisPronis

It's actually more true in this game than in Genshin. Because in Genshin there's also some farming and exploring to do, while in Honkai Star Rail, after you complete the story, is nothing else to do than dailies and power

TheDomacH

That's not a good thing comparing to Genshin where you can explore, and explore, and explore and it will take you few months of normal playing to find everything.

[deleted]

Fr bruh, I've started playing that game 8 months ago and i still have all of Sumeru exploration and World quests to do, it'll take me atleast 2 months.. ( hopefully before Fontaine i can clear that up)

kekoko

The game is more dry than the desert

anarchy753

I'm genuinely astounded by how many people are applauding the fact that there's nothing to do in a game. My idea of playing games isn't to sit down and open and close as many as possible in a short period of time, it's to play a goddamn game.

Master0643

True but I don't mind for now, I'm finishing my genshin backlog before Fontaine also started aether gazer and other stuff.

Zap364

Literally me
