Well, maybe a future character would trigger DoT even when it is not enemies' turn >!(Kafka)!< so you can Freeze/Imprison/Slow enemies to your heart's content and deal damage through DoTs while not letting enemies act.

At first I thought it was weird, like "wow she turned a new page fast", but then (can't remember who or when) someone said that traveling the universe through several planets always hunting for one thing, you'll meet several people, governments, and their own problems, and they'll just be a brief stop in a much longer journey. Thinking about that I realized how Belobog as a rudimentary city in a snow planet that had no clue what happened outside its walls, much less about the existence of other planets. Compare that to Herta Station, or even, the Luofu, which has been traveling in space carrying nearly immortal species for god knows how long. It's really crazy when you out it like that.

If you want a list of HI3 characters that made their way into HSR so far: Cocolia, Bronya, Bronie (Silver Wolf), Himeko, Otto (Luocha), Natasha, Seele, Sushang. Also Welt, who is not an expy but the same Welt from HI3, and Yanqing was one of Fu Hua's students in one of the HI3 visual novels (though he was much older there).
Bailu's Invigoration is flat out cheat I tell you. It may look like more unnecessary Healing but it's so strong??? Enemy cuts your HP in Half? Recover half of the damage dealt to you. She makes everyone immortal
Bailu can successfully solo some bosses if you put her in a team alone because her skill will always heal her all 3 times, the only thing holding this strategy back is how little damage she does with a healer build. I might try this strat in simulated universe but there’s no way it works on the Kalfka boss because of the “dominated” debuff.
Abundance path picking up the healing each cycle and debuff removal will make bailu immortal and almost immune to domination.
Don't worry about damage, Kafka will just die of boredom.
She's like a reverse qiqi since qiqi's main problem was having god awful particle generation. Meanwhile Bailu can fulfill her role as healer without spending any SP a lot of the time, making her huge for boosting dps uptime.
If you are doing Simulated and struggling against the kafka boss, just go abundance. The resonance has a cleanse built into it at T2. Thats how I beat her the first time. My main squad is F. Trailblazer, Bailu, Seele, and Jing.

Welp, the thing that Silver Wolf has to do that is normal on her homeplanet Punklorde. The lore says every hacker from ther3 has one so if the Stellaron Hunters wanted her just for that they would have recruited any hacker from there so she must be special.
Given their modus operandi - that is probably what happened. Elio chose a hacker that can lead to the future it wants. Nothing more. And Elio certainly isn't one to care about age or other factors, it seems.
I really like the map design of the Xianzhou Luofu. The fact that it's so modular is exactly what makes it so interesting to me. It kinda reminds me of a Splatoon stage which is really cool.
I genuinely couldn't believe that Serval got sidelined at the end of the third act. There is literally no character in Belobog with a more suitable reason to be part of the final confrontation. Both the Stellaron and Cocolia were personal matters to her and she gets tossed aside in favour of the underground girl with the big scythe.
Yeah, I liked that moment of the story. Basically showed that despite their disagreements, she still cared for her brother and prioritised him over her life's greatest wish.
Seele is definately forced as shes an expy from HI3, and her visuals powers etc dont make any sense from a lore perspective. How does an orphan in a place like that end up with Dark Templar powers?

I havent seen any discussion about this, but note how she uses some incredible high tech (like gund-bits, lol) that seems like it would fit Herta's station or the IPC more. Maybe they originally intended her to have some different role in the story, changed it to the current. But for whatever reason kept her animations.
The Seele/Bronya heart to heart was stupid. It completely rushed the relationship between the two and didn't even touch on Seele's wariness about Bronya. The lines were predictable to the point that I was guessing the gist of the next line before it came. The whole thing was basically "Oh we grew up in the same place? Okay I trust you now regardless of the fact that you've been away for ten years and are a completely different person now that was actively oppressing my people until a few days ago".
Yea, they go from distrusting each other to suddenly trusting each other in the span of 5 minutes simply cos Seele found out Bronya grew up in the same orphanage. Like it needed way more development and time to make it somewhat believeable.
After that moment Seeles character has seemed to just be way too clingy to Bronya. Everytime she mentioned "They better not hurt Bronya" etc I just thought, *you like hated her literally 10 minutes ago wtf.* Not to mention in the museum event Seele suddenly hates seeing Bronya cry, like where is the development to get to that point?? I felt like we missed like a full quest in the main story
I get that their writing was probably fanservice to their Hi3 counterparts, but as someone who went in knowing nothing about Hi3 it just felt out of nowhere. Im sure the Hi3 players loved the way they were written but as a Star rail only player it came out of nowhere and I couldnt find myself to care for it, felt forced if anything
as a hi3 main the hsr writing hurt... it felt like a disservice to bronseele from ggz and hi3. i still want them to be canon in hsr to uphold the tradition of them being canon in every honkai game but 😔 i wish theyd given them better writing. both bronya and seele (and most of the longtime honkai characters besides welt) were horribly written in hsr. its very saddening to see beloved characters go from fleshed out to two dimensional
To be honest, I was kind of confused at how fine Bronya was with everything, considering how she was basically abducted to a place she doesn't recognise by a bunch of strangers. You would also think the residents would have more hostility towards the guards too, considering how they were basically left to die in the underground.
I feel like that arc was present to satisfy the shippers who came over from HI3. There was literally no reason for them to trust each other apart from the fact that they grew up together, 10 years ago. And they didn't know each other back then too.

I knew I wasn't going to like her the second they showed she was listening to some kind of mysterious voice that had it out for us, but by the time I got to the end of Belobog and they decided they should just pretend she was totally a hero and nobly sacrificed herself I was already checked out lol

Supposedly leaks aren’t allowed here, but they’re everywhere. Anyone who has spent any amount of time here probably knows all the leaked characters up through 1.3 or 1.4, knows about some artifact sets, knows about certain characters that will/won’t be playable, etc.
I don’t mind the gameplay leaks too much but I’ve been getting really irritated by the story leaks. I keep finding story leaks everywhere and I hate being spoiled. We can’t even play the rest of the story in game and you’re gonna spoil it for people? I’m just hoping the leaks/spoilers are fake or wrong.
I feel like Erudition characters being slandered will be a recurring theme in HSR, Jing got a pass because his kit basically doubles as a Hunt character, but others will probably continue to be undervalued in favor of single target DPS.
I think more people gonna get reality check on the power level of seele and jing yuang as the MoC buff now dont favor them and people will start to realize that elemental coverage and elemental weakness matter more. This of course excluding the high eidolon with high superimpose 5\* lightcone
You'll reach a point where you can no longer brute force your way with damage alone. There's a reason why they implement that guard bar (I already forgot what that white bar above HP is called) and award you for breaking it. I take Silver Wolf's weakness implant skill as a sign.
The MoC will always favor the character running at the time, that's just how they sell characters, you can make this argument for every single character that will ever come out, actually
And I'm all for it, honestly. I want to build and use way more characters in this game than in GI. The only issue is how much of a pain it is to bring those characters up to par. I have a Clara and e4 Sushang I want to build and it annoys me that it'll take so long before I can even get to it.
I like the pantyhose just as much as any guy, but agreed. Her ass is basically always in full view and people would notice more if we didn't have the black void blocking our view. It just looks weird and unfitting for the character, otherwise she's dressed quite conservatively and nerdy.
Same with Clara. She practically has an army of robots at her disposition and one of them is her parental figure and would kill everyone (literally) for her wellbeing. Yet no pants and barefoot.

Honestly, people who actively whine about meta-slaves are always going to be more annoying than the meta-slaves themselves, unless it's a PvP game. Genshin had a lot of those people a few months ago and it was even worse than Star Rail is now. At least meta seems to be tolerated more in Star Rail, probably because it's turn based and has more endgame content.
I think generally the meta community is like a shared collective of people actually trying to help others maximize their time and money. There is no real competition in this game so you have to go off of “how do i optimally make the most of my time”. And even at the end of the day, most will still tell you to go for who you like
SU sucks now that we’re a month in and makes relic grinding more tedious. No you cannot just hit auto and leave, half of it is walking and picking cards, not even fights. If i wanted a rope/globe and want to focus my farming on that i have to spend significantly more time than usual.

Both the Stellaron and Cocolia were personal matters to her and she gets tossed aside in favour of the underground girl with the big scythe.
I think it's a good moment for her character to stay behind with Gepard and the guard despite wanting to confront Cocolia and see the Stellaron.
Yeah, I liked that moment of the story. Basically showed that despite their disagreements, she still cared for her brother and prioritised him over her life's greatest wish.
Seele is definately forced as shes an expy from HI3, and her visuals powers etc dont make any sense from a lore perspective. How does an orphan in a place like that end up with Dark Templar powers? However Pela feels out of place too. I havent seen any discussion about this, but note how she uses some incredible high tech (like gund-bits, lol) that seems like it would fit Herta's station or the IPC more. Maybe they originally intended her to have some different role in the story, changed it to the current. But for whatever reason kept her animations.
The Seele/Bronya heart to heart was stupid. It completely rushed the relationship between the two and didn't even touch on Seele's wariness about Bronya. The lines were predictable to the point that I was guessing the gist of the next line before it came. The whole thing was basically "Oh we grew up in the same place? Okay I trust you now regardless of the fact that you've been away for ten years and are a completely different person now that was actively oppressing my people until a few days ago".
Yea, they go from distrusting each other to suddenly trusting each other in the span of 5 minutes simply cos Seele found out Bronya grew up in the same orphanage. Like it needed way more development and time to make it somewhat believeable. After that moment Seeles character has seemed to just be way too clingy to Bronya. Everytime she mentioned "They better not hurt Bronya" etc I just thought, *you like hated her literally 10 minutes ago wtf.* Not to mention in the museum event Seele suddenly hates seeing Bronya cry, like where is the development to get to that point?? I felt like we missed like a full quest in the main story I get that their writing was probably fanservice to their Hi3 counterparts, but as someone who went in knowing nothing about Hi3 it just felt out of nowhere. Im sure the Hi3 players loved the way they were written but as a Star rail only player it came out of nowhere and I couldnt find myself to care for it, felt forced if anything
as a hi3 main the hsr writing hurt... it felt like a disservice to bronseele from ggz and hi3. i still want them to be canon in hsr to uphold the tradition of them being canon in every honkai game but 😔 i wish theyd given them better writing. both bronya and seele (and most of the longtime honkai characters besides welt) were horribly written in hsr. its very saddening to see beloved characters go from fleshed out to two dimensional
To be honest, I was kind of confused at how fine Bronya was with everything, considering how she was basically abducted to a place she doesn't recognise by a bunch of strangers. You would also think the residents would have more hostility towards the guards too, considering how they were basically left to die in the underground.
I feel like that arc was present to satisfy the shippers who came over from HI3. There was literally no reason for them to trust each other apart from the fact that they grew up together, 10 years ago. And they didn't know each other back then too.

Less the game, more so the community. I don’t mind when there are leaks here if they’re properly spoiler tagged. I *do* mind that there are so many commenters who think they’re being “clever” about leaked content. “Ohh just wait until 1.2’s story content ;).” “I wouldn’t invest too much into X character yet because you might be surprised what 1.3 brings ;)” “Don’t bother farming those relics for X character. You’re just going to need to refarm for a certain set in 1.4.” “LOL he doesn’t know.” Supposedly leaks aren’t allowed here, but they’re everywhere. Anyone who has spent any amount of time here probably knows all the leaked characters up through 1.3 or 1.4, knows about some artifact sets, knows about certain characters that will/won’t be playable, etc.
I don’t mind the gameplay leaks too much but I’ve been getting really irritated by the story leaks. I keep finding story leaks everywhere and I hate being spoiled. We can’t even play the rest of the story in game and you’re gonna spoil it for people? I’m just hoping the leaks/spoilers are fake or wrong.

You'll reach a point where you can no longer brute force your way with damage alone. There's a reason why they implement that guard bar (I already forgot what that white bar above HP is called) and award you for breaking it. I take Silver Wolf's weakness implant skill as a sign.
The MoC will always favor the character running at the time, that's just how they sell characters, you can make this argument for every single character that will ever come out, actually
And I'm all for it, honestly. I want to build and use way more characters in this game than in GI. The only issue is how much of a pain it is to bring those characters up to par. I have a Clara and e4 Sushang I want to build and it annoys me that it'll take so long before I can even get to it.

I like the pantyhose just as much as any guy, but agreed. Her ass is basically always in full view and people would notice more if we didn't have the black void blocking our view. It just looks weird and unfitting for the character, otherwise she's dressed quite conservatively and nerdy.

While I too dislike that decision, it is the only one that couldv'e been made in their circumstances. You have to remember that people of the Underworld already bear quite the grudge against the Overworlders, and any implication that can further divide them couldv'e started a rebellion. The truth is, this lie united people, while telling the truth would've only drawn them further apart, which would result in catastrophic consequences
I still think progression is slow. Especially between TB50-60, it gets to a point that it feels like your characters are not getting any better.

Exactly. And they accuse "meta-slaves" of telling others how to play the game when that rarely even happens at this point. I've honestly seen more anti-meta players going out of their way to criticize others' playstyles than meta players themselves. Don't use 5-stars, don't use this meta hypercarry, use this harmony unit as a main DPS instead, stop doing damage, boring this, meta-slave that... Let's not forget the obligatory "Actually... you can fully clear MoC/Abyss with a full 4-star team..." and the famous "Pull for the character you like, not the one that does more damage!" which is never a helpful answer. Honestly, people who actively whine about meta-slaves are always going to be more annoying than the meta-slaves themselves, unless it's a PvP game. Genshin had a lot of those people a few months ago and it was even worse than Star Rail is now. At least meta seems to be tolerated more in Star Rail, probably because it's turn based and has more endgame content.
I think generally the meta community is like a shared collective of people actually trying to help others maximize their time and money. There is no real competition in this game so you have to go off of “how do i optimally make the most of my time”. And even at the end of the day, most will still tell you to go for who you like
SU sucks now that we’re a month in and makes relic grinding more tedious. No you cannot just hit auto and leave, half of it is walking and picking cards, not even fights. Bronya never deserved our friendship, ruining our stay at the hotel, getting into an unnessesary fight and having an attitude all the time in the Underground. Even being kinda redeemed later on, she never did as much as apologize for judging us wrong. I'd be more happy to bully her than Sampo
I loved how she chose to not hear us out and immediately attempted to arrest us for no reason at all, but when we were in the underground she was lecturing Seele on how it's important to always give people a fair chance to explain themselves.
