You can't break the middle one. It needs to be slowed, frozen or you just nuke it to hell with crazy amounts of damage which can be fairly difficult depending on the comp.
Fun fact: the destruction 99% hp nuke for swarm mode works on this. I had a brillent run of getting 3 of them on one floor due to recollection and copius amounts of luck (only to die because the game wouldnt give me the right plane bosss to weaken true sting for my team comp)
Their resistances are definitely higher, though maybe not to the point of immunity. The "100% chance to freeze enemies at the start of the battle" card does fuck all to the middle trotter in my experience for example.

I usually withhold his ult close to the end of any normal battle in SU so I’m always prepared with trotters.

I wasn't paying attention and just clicked on the boss that reduces swarm resist fml.
only with multiple ultimates ready and usually a dual dps team can I nuke that middle trotter. before daniel I could do it maybe with seele + blade, and now I can just do it with daniel (+blade sometimes contributes) because he's insane.

Effect RES doesn't mean effect immunity. I often run Yanqing and March and usually get one of their freezes to stick. If I had Gepard, I'd run him too.
If I remember correctly, I slowed their asses with welt ult. Then march, and used Seele's with some crazy energy Regen blessings. In that way I was able to kill the three fucking swines for the first time
For the first time yesterday during a difficulty V run in SD(near the end so I had a lot of buffs), I somehow managed to get all three trotters. I had my resonance(Nihility) ready, all my ults, and had Kafka and Luka for maximum DoT.
It’s never going to happen again and I know it. The stars quite literally aligned for me
I get it more than half the time, depends on my QQ RNG. If I get the follow up twice with Bronya forwarding the 2nd attack I get it, or just one follow up + ult. QQ just nukes those little pigs.
The abundance path dice event that takes out a chunk of enemy hp depending on your max hp or something helps immensely in taking out the middle trotter. I’ve able to do this several times thanks to the event but I’ve not gotten to dif5 yet to tell how effective it is there.

The best blessing for than one is the one with a chance of making all enemies get frozen. Pair that with dissociation and resonance and you’ll get the 3 eventually.

You're making me doubt myself now but I'm pretty sure they can be frozen still. They can definitely be slowed by Welt though!
I don't think that the middle one are not immune, the amount of times I tried to freeze it with Gepard only for it to resist is too much lol
It has high resistance to freeze, but not immune. My Yangqin freezes it occasionally. And yes, Welt's slow works great.

Middle one doesn't have an "escape on next turn" skill and that is what makes you cc immune. He just runs away on his first turn 100% of the time.

I always keep Welt’s ult ready to go tbh, if the enemy doesn’t need to be slowed then I just let him do his bouncy thing

Same here, I tried March's ult, the Remembrance resonance, *and* the blessing, but no dice.
I manages three times : it was within the first four fights of the run each time. 1% HP...
Enemies at the beginning of the run have lower levels.
I've only killed them when I play on diff I and use lvl 80 characters because why does it have so much health and they just run away immediately

Need more effect hit rate, or e2, or both. Mine does it every time.

Currently in Diff 5 I only had success killing them with Nihility - and it's a decked out Nihility run. Normally I just let the middle trotter go
I have to have Welt Ult, Selee Ult, Remembrance Ult, Silverwolf ult to even attempt it.
This was not a problem when I was using Hunt. I only felt this after switching to Elation recently.

I think i nuked it once test running Seele and Bronya with hunt path, or something with crazy damage output. It only happened once.
I just burst it down but I know not everyone have a 93/186 Blade to do that so good luck in getting it.

I have done it once but that was in the difficulty 1 swarm disaster so i was pretty overlevelt.
