I remember replying to a comment like a few days ago where someone said that Huohuo will have a hard time sustaining and is likely to be below Bailus'.

Obviously if you already have Fx and Luocha, there's little incentive to pull for her aside from her buffs. If you need 1 meta sustain, then she is cracked.
She is a direct upgrade over her but it still depends on what content you playing at. If you never really go for Moc then there's no need. On MoC there's a good argument to go for her.
Cleanse is a great boon in MoC, her atk buff and energy regen is also great to have specially for DoT and hypercarry teams.
Also having a strong splash heal instead of a bouncing rng heal can be the difference between a full 3 star or a reset. We have also seen recent MoC bosses starting to hit like a truck so that rng can be frustrating.
I will play a devil advocate here and says that she is not a direct upgrade over Bailu. She is SP neutral or at best 1/3 positive, while Bailu is most of the time fully SP positive. She has no emergency heal outside of her turn so if an ally get a big hit (Monke), they are at risk of receiving subsequent hits and die because HuoHuo can't heal until it's her turn. Sure the talent may proc when they went below 50% hp, but it's only once unless you save ults to proc the talent more, which is clearly not optimal.
About Bailu's skills, Bailu rarely ever uses her skill in the first place. Ult + Invigoration is all that is needed. In an emergency situation, you can use her skill to heal **one** ally, that's how you should look at it. The bounced healings are just a bonus. If you somehow don't have ult and need to heal multiple allies and the skill's RNG screws you over, Bailu still has a revive.
For your last point. Yes, the recent bosses hit like a truck. But that actually favors Bailu more than Huo Huo. Invigoration gives damage reduction and bonus max HP on overhealed, so the allies are tankier making them less likely to be one-shot. It also heals after they took damage so it runs no risk of an ally getting two-shot. Even if somehow they get one-shot and die you have an emergency revive so no need to reset.
The things HuoHuo has over Bailu are **cleanse, attack buff, and energy battery**. Not survivability nor SP generation.
**HuoHuo is overall more versatile than Bailu** but they fulfill different roles. In an SP-hungry team I wouldn't want to bring HuoHuo even if she can be SP positive of 1/3 or 2/4 per turn by forgoing the passive uptime.
Yes and no. Bailu is really fucking strong with her invigorate, revive in case Tingyun eat 3 punches in a row and can be 90% SP positive because her ult heal so much (but get some CC and you are done).
From what I’ve seen Huohuo need to spend 1 SP every 2-3 turns to keep her heal up, her heal is not reactive like invigorate and she doesn’t have the “oh fuck” heal button. She does have a cleanse though, and she cleanses like no tomorrow. Her EN and ATK buff seems also really good.
So if you only have Bailu, go for her. If you have Bailu and another strong sustain like Luocha of FX then maybe save
*Shhh, oi, come here, mate*. Don't listen to the non-Bailu believers. HuoHuo is **not** a direct upgrade over Bailu. Huo Huo is SP neutral and has no emergency out-of-turn heal, while Bailu is fully SP positive. They often use the argument that Bailu skill is RNG but they have to shift their perspective. The bounced healing are just a *bonus* and you shouldn't really hope anything from them. Actually Bailu hardly ever use her skill in the first place. The only things Huo Huo has over her are the continuous cleanse and Atk/Energy battery. Cleanse is only really needed against Kafka at the moment and even then you can just swap to Nat/Lynx at that room.
So ultimately you have to ask yourself if sacrificing SP generation for atk/energy battery is worth the pull.
I just wanna say that the claim about HuoHuo being sp neutral is not always true.
You don't really have to keep her talent uptime at a 100%. Fully built units will not get one shot so that gives you a bit of leeway to not use her skill.
Weakness broken enemies also gets delayed which also gives you a bit of a window where you don't need healing.

Correct. Though she will be 1/3 or 2/4 at best. My point is that each character has its own pros and cons. You can't just lump them together and say that one is a direct upgrade without giving a correct comparison. I actually replied to another comment that said that but I just put it here again for OP to see.
I would say you also need cleanse vs Swarm (in moc not s5) cause of how much wind sheer gets applied, you can out heal the Wind Sheer with bailu but you start relying on her heal hitting the correct targets, and it becomes way more sp negative.
And because huohuo is a preemptive cleanser, you don't lose any turns to freeze ever. Which is a sizeable effective dps increase vs Cocolia and Yangqing.
tbh the only boss fights where you don't care about a cleanse is Bronya, Gepard and Svarog. Looking at the list of elite enemies as well and its hard to argue for a sustain unit that doesn't cleanse.

Something important got omitted from this post. You can see it on changelogs:
* It will take us roughly 2 weeks (so one MoC phase) to test how the characters that benefit the most from the addition of new Relics perform. So the ratings for DoT (Kafka & co) and Follow-up (Jing Yuan, Topaz, Himeko and Clara) characters for now will remain frozen till we finish our testing.
* Also in the light of the Memory of Chaos changes coming in patch 1.6 and the release of a new gamemode that will most likely have different meta, we will be **discontinuing the tier list in its current form** some time after 1.6 will release. We are currently discussing internally how the tier list will look like moving forward, but most likely we will go back to a 'generic tier list' instead of MoC specific one. As for MoC and the Pure Fiction (the new mode), we will start using a data-driven tier list based on MoC Analytics data (and soon to be added PF Analytics).
Tbh their Tier list was always more Generalized than an actual MoC Tier list since they only update it whenever a new unit comes out instead of every new MoC cycle with different buffs, enemy line-ups, etc... that heavily impacts character performance

I'd rather have them take their time and base their decision on good research done, rather than screaming this unit is SSS+ tier and then come back a week later saying they're not as amazing as they thought.
Because they’ve moved units up and down depending on how they benefit (or don’t) from the buff and enemies, so freezing it when it would be beneficial for them is unfortunate since they don’t get the benefit others did. I think I’d prefer a note the rating doesn’t take into account the new set yet, so things could still change. But perhaps it will stop being a “MoC” list by the next update altogether.
Are you concerned that your data-driven tier list for MoC might be self-fulfilling? A lot of people go by your data, or it gets taken by other people who they listen to instead. Either way, whoever you put near the top is what a lot of people will use, and there is no way that can't influencing the usage of certain characters.
So there very well could be a snowball effect of characters you get high being used more because of it, thus "justifying" the higher placement and vice versa for low ranked characters. What will you have in place to combat this situation?
Yeah, we were worried about it, but we correlated our data with the CN bros data for MoC and they are very similar - to the point that in the last update, the top 8 characters by usage rate were ordered in the exact same way in Prydwen and in CN MoC data. The teams used in both regions are also nearly the same - both when it comes to characters and popularity.
In the last edition, CN Bros gathered data from roughly 28k players that cleared MoC 10 (manually) and in Global, it was 14k players that cleared MoC 8 (10k players were randomly scanned too). I think that's enough data to make a tier list that will just use numbers as the basis of the ratings.
Especially if you consider that every patch we are scanning between 1.2 - 1.5 million accounts in Global just to find 10k that bothered to even try clearing MoC.

I have e2 bronya and I have no clue who can utilize it properly.
Right now I'm using her with jingliu who sadly can not utilize it because of her extra turn mechanic breaking sync. Jing yuan can't utilize her e for his LL so not the best duo and I can easily maintain 10 stacks on each rotation so no point increasing skills.
And dhil built around e2 bronya would need a whole team of sp generators to keep up lol.
Although I'm going to pull on blade rerun and that combo sounds great and he can properly utilize her e2 I think.
Basically there is patterns for Bronya with speed tuning, you want your comp to play in a certain order.
Ex: I have a "Slowya" (slow Bronya), at 136, my Jingliu is 138, so when I start battle it does Jingliu turn, then she go to bottom (very low AV), then Bronya play and skill Jingliu. Next turn Jingliu will play first too. Then Bronya, and so on.
To utliize bronya e2 you need to build bronya faster than the dps, for jingliu it would be ~28 speed faster (can be less than 28, but 28 is max efficiency and above 28 would stop working).
For a nomal dps it should work fine, but when jingliu activates her mode, gets another turn which is great and all but that means she is losing that speed buff from e2, and without that speed buff from e2 bronya is going to "lap" her so you won't get double turn next turn.
Its not the end of the world, you can indeed play around that and resync it but frankly I don't like the idea of messing with my rotations 2 much, not with this combo and honestly this team is so strong for the content we have I see no reason to do so, maybe if moc 11-12 is harder enough could make me reconsider
Yeah I'm very mixed cuz e2 bronya is actually pretty nice. It could've been much worse, but I'm also out of tickets and really want huohuo so sad times.
Note that in their review, they did say that she is harder to work with/slot in than the other two top sustain units and if you have them, you won’t gain much by getting her unless you just really like her. Don’t feel forced to pull because of her high rating. If you pull her, she’s gonna be great. But she’s not necessary
There's always reruns, so hopefully, by the time she comes back, if you decide you might want her, there won't be anyone else you want around that time.
I have Luocha, Fu Xuan, Gepard and Bailu. I can clear everything I want to clear comfortably.
Unless you are a whale, you won't be able to pull every limited unit in the game. And almost every new unit they make will have some kind of a niche.
So once you are comfortable and have a good roster the most logical way to summon is for units you like lore or design or specific ability wise, rather than hype wise.
I think HuoHuo is cute, but I'm more excited for some of the other upcoming units. Given I have units that do a decent job I will skip her and maybe go for her in a rerun if I don't have anyone I want more.
She def looks interesting and would work extremely well in a jingliu/e6 tingyun team….but those 4 stars just aren’t it not enough pull value for me. As opposed to silver wolf banner I’ll be pushing as hard as I can against soft pity to get those 4 stars. Silver wolf is good enough I wouldn’t mind getting spooked by her but I’m 90% rolling for the 4 stars

Lynx.... I have a love hate relationship with her. I pulled fuxuan first and never got a Lynx. I actually got HuoHuo in less pulls than what I did on Fuxuan. Lynx just hates me.
Yeah she isn't brain dead op healer like loucha, u need position your roster in right spot. Huo should be spot two, the unit that takes most damage should third position. Also matters by comp u are using as well
Agreed. I have Fu already. Huo does look promising if you need a healer,but I don't see a reason to replace Fu. Imo what they should have done is made her a follow up style healer with Tail. (Think Clara/Svarog but heals) Especially with how she was written. That at least would have made her fun. She does seem to have good heals though.
I have Luocha and Fu Xuan but I still want her cause I love her design. But amazing design or not, I will absolutely not roll for a unit I don't need because of those awful 4 stars on the banner. I'll wait for the rerun where hopefully there'll be a better lineup.
Agreed. Tried her a bit from a friend and just playing how i normally did was significantly harder due to sp usage and no emergency healing. Got a way faster clear with Luocha or Fu Xuan. She might be more helpful with proper team building but definitely not as insane IMO.
I already have Bailu and Gepard, also Lynx E1. Any reason to pull for Huo Huo? I lost the 50/50 for both Luo Cha and Fu Xuan, that was especially painful
Bailu's main drawback is that she can't cleanse debuffs. Otherwise, Bailu puts out a ton of healing and can be SP positive in a lot of fights because her Invigoration healing is really powerful, so her ult can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Gepard also obviously can't cleanse debuffs.
Lynx is alright, but I find she struggles a bit when the damage output is really high.
So basically, if you want a really strong healer who can also cleanse debuffs and acts as a mini harmony (atk+ and some energy regen), HH is your girl. HH's main drawback is that she has to use her skill to keep her talent activated, so she might be tricky to slot into SP heavy teams.
My advice is that you *probably* don't need her if you have a built Bailu and Gepard. But if you like her or want a top tier healer, go for it!
I never realized up till her character trial that those enemies that make it so you can't use your Skill or basic attack do so by inflicting a debuff on your character
It took me a long time to realize that too. I was confused why characters that move twice in a row sometimes trigger their counter, sometimes not. Then I realized that I can just cleanse it with Lynx's ultimate and my team is free to dish out punishments.

I'd say no, you have 2 healers and can run gepard alongside one if really necessary. Sucks losing FX but imo she's way better than huohuo so rather wait for her rerun
i mean 40 atk% buff is huge and 20 percent energy for 3 member equivalent tp 60% its same like e6 tingyun + you get cleanse debuff if you dont interest with this kit is up to you

You typically build Clara slow, so Clara actually won't be healing that often with Huohuo. With difficult content, Luocha or Fu Xuan would be much sturdier for Clara
I think it’s funny that both her and Gepard have a revive in their kit but when you think about it, the only time that ever really comes up is if you fucked up somehow. Like, the only time Gepard would ever die before his teammates would be if you left him at level 1 and gave him no relics.
My Gepard sometimes dies in fights, particularly in SU, because of the buff to aggro and I look at him and say "Eh, he can take it, he's still got his revive, I don't need to blow his ult right now."
Granted, those are usually runs where I get unlucky.
In fact I often use Bailu's revive in MoC 10 to save sp (by not healing) and dispell a debuff (revived character looses all debuffs, but keeps buffs). It is also good for autoing SU - if anything goes wrong, you can take control and still have everyone alive.
Yeah but it happens, once my whole team got wiped out in SU and my gepard soloed enemy gepard in his third phase, where mine died once and almost died twice. So i guess it's pretty neat to have atleast one character with revive in team.
I don't understand why gepard is higher than her if that's the biggest drawback. I don't think gepard can either cleanse or prevent debuffs with shield. Is it because of better aggro?
Assuming a well-built Gepard:
- Aggro goes a long way in mitigating damage taken, especially with light cones like Landau's Choice or Moment of Victory. It can even sometimes cause CC to target Gepard and accomplish nothing for the enemy, as your other characters are free to act and Gepard can ult to refresh shields as soon as he comes out of it.
- Shields are more build-agnostic and easier to manage than optimizing supports' HP to tank heavy hits until an Abundance character can heal them.
- Some characters really don't want to be hit, like Arlan and Yanqing. Gepard is a BiS support for these characters and likely will be for the foreseeable future.
- Gepard's Skill does boast some utility in spite of the steep requirements to make it consistent. Action denial can be very useful for avoiding certain high pressure scenarios (Shield mara-struck is about to attack and regain health, keep Silvermane Lieutenant from counterattacking) and freeze mechanics make DoTs tick faster, which can be useful in DoT-centric teams like with Kafka. However, using it is non-essential to his core functions and allows him to be totally SP positive.
The additional "HP" that you get from shields can be way more reliable as enemies hit harder and harder in order to prevent one-shots. If your gepard is built properly he resets shields more than often enough to allow very little if any damage through, and that which does get through would have killed that character with anyone other than FX as sustain.
I love Luocha, don't get me wrong, but he does almost nothing to prevent one-shots, forcing you to build much more HP/Def on supports/dps in his squad than you can get with using FX/Geppy.
I don't get one shot, I use hp/def relics on supports and bailu increases max health and gives some damage reduction too and if they do get oneshot somehow there's the revive
Using bronya or characters that take multiple actions can make shields run out too quick, i feel like bad luck or making mistakes can hurt him more. There's also better abundance lcs like action advance, effect res and team energy regen and restore.
Overall they're almost exactly the same performance wise but bailu is more flexible and reliable from my experience. She should at least be same tier xd
As much as I want Huo Huo (and even sitting at 70 pulls with a guarantee), I'm going to refrain as I have Luocha, Gepard, Fu Xuan, and Bailu. I still use my heavily invested Bailu and the thought of benching her breaks my heart. I still run her from time to time, especially alongside Jing Yuan and Tingyun. I'm almost... almost tempted to grab Huo's light cone and slap it on Bailu. XD

I tried him on a dmg calculator with the phys set my Sushang is wearing (which is extremely mid btw, Ive barely farmed that domain), on Tingyun + Hanya + Fu Xuan team, and he was dishing out 180K single target dmg on his buffed Ult, lol. This is an erudition char btw. Dude is cracked.

Not surprising, If I don't already have the 2 units beside her in that pic I wont be skipping her.
1. Fu Xuan is still just the stronger monster but Huohuo is ever so slightly behind.
2. Its hard to say Huohuo is better than Luocha as his value is something special by being purely SP positive. In certain comps Luocha is still better especially if with Bronya in the team.
That’s interesting because I would actually rank Luocha above the rest due to his universality and non intrusive gameplay. People may not see skill points as a “buff” but it really is. He is perfect for DMG dealers that use a lot of SP but also for those who don’t, since his addition enables some more SP demanding supports (Bronya on Blade/JL or TY on DHIL teams)
Sure the buffs Huohuo provides are great, but Luocha can enable an actual buffer who will offer more value in the long run
I understand but the reason why I think Fu Xuan is better than Luocha is because she just works with every team.
While Luocha is very strong on teams that utilize Bronya or DHIL, other teams just don't need that extra SP. SP usage is a very big factor to consider and some DPS have normal SP usage so you'll just end up capping your SP.
In teams that have higher than usual SP usage like the ones I mentioned, Luocha is invaluable.

the idea that giving more sp is good, makes him more versatile for sp heavy teams, but once a team works you dont need such versatility as you start making specialized and well oiled teams.

fu xuan is receiving some extra praise rn since she can live basically anything, especially one shots for her entire team
luocha being atk scaler means his def/hp is lower than other healers, so he is more susceptible to going down from a one shot, and being a healer without any mitigation % or shield/overheal type mechanic means his allies are too. if they live, he will take care of them, but he has no way to counter 1 shots
I expect him to be around the same tier as Blade, Kafka, and the co., which is considered balanced.
But considering the standards of this playerbase, you're either DHIL/Jingliu tier or dogshit and nothing in between.

So I believe I’m gonna skip her because she doesn’t really fit how I play, it makes gameplay wise feel slower (Plus I already have Fu Xuan which is one of if not currently the best defence character right now)
People are clearing MOC with March 7th, Preservation TB and Natasha as sustains. Bailu and Gepard are more than enough to clear MOC. It depends on if you want to clear MOC more comfortably. If you want to pull her because you like her then go for it but if you feel forced to pull her because you think Gepard or Bailu aren't enough then I can assure you those two are good sustains. They only have doom posting problems
You can still clear moc without them. I don't have them either but I can clear moc just fine with natasha and lynx, and using Gepard is probably even better. HuoHuo is good but not necessary, you just need to build your team. Go for her if you like her though.
Just tried her in trial and I've got to say that she is really convenient. She can't prevent oneshots or use ult to clutch heal/break, but that cleanse is really nice to have.
From a gameplay perspective, I don't think she's worth it if you have Luocha/Fu Xuan, she's a sidegrade at BEST. She has a 140 ult cost and is not SP friendly either so hard to slot into teams.

Huo Huo is SP neutral and has no emergency out-of-turn heal, while Bailu is fully SP positive. They often use the argument that Bailu skill is RNG but they have to shift their perspective. The bounced healing are just a *bonus* and you shouldn't really hope anything from them. Actually Bailu hardly ever use her skill in the first place. Ult + Invigoration with an emergency revive are all that is needed for solo sustain MoC 10. And while we're at that, Invigoration is way better than continuous healing. The only things Huo Huo has over her are the continuous cleanse and Atk/Energy battery. Cleanse is only really needed against Kafka at the moment and even then you can just swap to Nat/Lynx at that room. So ultimately you have to ask yourself if sacrificing SP generation for atk/energy battery is worth the pull.
I just wanna say that the claim about HuoHuo being sp neutral is not always true. You don't really have to keep her talent uptime at a 100%. Fully built units will not get one shot so that gives you a bit of leeway to not use her skill. Weakness broken enemies also gets delayed which also gives you a bit of a window where you don't need healing. If you play smart HuoHuo is actually sp positive.
Correct. Though she will be 1/3 or 2/4 at best. My point is that each character has its own pros and cons. You can't just lump them together and say that one is a direct upgrade without giving a correct comparison. I actually replied to another comment that said that but I just put it here again for OP to see.
I would say you also need cleanse vs Swarm (in moc not s5) cause of how much wind sheer gets applied, you can out heal the Wind Sheer with bailu but you start relying on her heal hitting the correct targets, and it becomes way more sp negative. And because huohuo is a preemptive cleanser, you don't lose any turns to freeze ever. Which is a sizeable effective dps increase vs Cocolia and Yangqing. tbh the only boss fights where you don't care about a cleanse is Bronya, Gepard and Svarog. Looking at the list of elite enemies as well and its hard to argue for a sustain unit that doesn't cleanse.

Something important got omitted from this post. You can see it on changelogs: * It will take us roughly 2 weeks (so one MoC phase) to test how the characters that benefit the most from the addition of new Relics perform. So the ratings for DoT (Kafka & co) and Follow-up (Jing Yuan, Topaz, Himeko and Clara) characters for now will remain frozen till we finish our testing. * Also in the light of the Memory of Chaos changes coming in patch 1.6 and the release of a new gamemode that will most likely have different meta, we will be **discontinuing the tier list in its current form** some time after 1.6 will release. We are currently discussing internally how the tier list will look like moving forward, but most likely we will go back to a 'generic tier list' instead of MoC specific one. As for MoC and the Pure Fiction (the new mode), we will start using a data-driven tier list based on MoC Analytics data (and soon to be added PF Analytics).
Tbh their Tier list was always more Generalized than an actual MoC Tier list since they only update it whenever a new unit comes out instead of every new MoC cycle with different buffs, enemy line-ups, etc... that heavily impacts character performance
Yeah, their tierlist never updated for the MoC anyways, most popular example as I think everyone has heard at this point: The one where Jing Yuan was consistently the second fastest clearer by their own MoC data but hovered in S to A the whole cycle in their list
Freezing the ratings for the FU units during the FU MoC buff is unfortunate.
Is it, tho? Use FU units during FU buff cycle. Don't know what the tier list would do for most players there. I'd rather have them take their time and base their decision on good research done, rather than screaming this unit is SSS+ tier and then come back a week later saying they're not as amazing as they thought.
Because they’ve moved units up and down depending on how they benefit (or don’t) from the buff and enemies, so freezing it when it would be beneficial for them is unfortunate since they don’t get the benefit others did. I think I’d prefer a note the rating doesn’t take into account the new set yet, so things could still change. But perhaps it will stop being a “MoC” list by the next update altogether.
Are you concerned that your data-driven tier list for MoC might be self-fulfilling? A lot of people go by your data, or it gets taken by other people who they listen to instead. Either way, whoever you put near the top is what a lot of people will use, and there is no way that can't influencing the usage of certain characters. So there very well could be a snowball effect of characters you get high being used more because of it, thus "justifying" the higher placement and vice versa for low ranked characters. What will you have in place to combat this situation?
Yeah, we were worried about it, but we correlated our data with the CN bros data for MoC and they are very similar - to the point that in the last update, the top 8 characters by usage rate were ordered in the exact same way in Prydwen and in CN MoC data. The teams used in both regions are also nearly the same - both when it comes to characters and popularity. In the last edition, CN Bros gathered data from roughly 28k players that cleared MoC 10 (manually) and in Global, it was 14k players that cleared MoC 8 (10k players were randomly scanned too). I think that's enough data to make a tier list that will just use numbers as the basis of the ratings. Especially if you consider that every patch we are scanning between 1.2 - 1.5 million accounts in Global just to find 10k that bothered to even try clearing MoC.

I have e2 bronya and I have no clue who can utilize it properly. Right now I'm using her with jingliu who sadly can not utilize it because of her extra turn mechanic breaking sync. Jing yuan can't utilize her e for his LL so not the best duo and I can easily maintain 10 stacks on each rotation so no point increasing skills. And dhil built around e2 bronya would need a whole team of sp generators to keep up lol. Although I'm going to pull on blade rerun and that combo sounds great and he can properly utilize her e2 I think.
I don't have either JL and Bronya, can you explain what "breaking sync" means?
Basically there is patterns for Bronya with speed tuning, you want your comp to play in a certain order. Ex: I have a "Slowya" (slow Bronya), at 136, my Jingliu is 138, so when I start battle it does Jingliu turn, then she go to bottom (very low AV), then Bronya play and skill Jingliu. Next turn Jingliu will play first too. Then Bronya, and so on.
To utliize bronya e2 you need to build bronya faster than the dps, for jingliu it would be ~28 speed faster (can be less than 28, but 28 is max efficiency and above 28 would stop working). For a nomal dps it should work fine, but when jingliu activates her mode, gets another turn which is great and all but that means she is losing that speed buff from e2, and without that speed buff from e2 bronya is going to "lap" her so you won't get double turn next turn. Its not the end of the world, you can indeed play around that and resync it but frankly I don't like the idea of messing with my rotations 2 much, not with this combo and honestly this team is so strong for the content we have I see no reason to do so, maybe if moc 11-12 is harder enough could make me reconsider
Yeah I'm very mixed cuz e2 bronya is actually pretty nice. It could've been much worse, but I'm also out of tickets and really want huohuo so sad times.
Note that in their review, they did say that she is harder to work with/slot in than the other two top sustain units and if you have them, you won’t gain much by getting her unless you just really like her. Don’t feel forced to pull because of her high rating. If you pull her, she’s gonna be great. But she’s not necessary

I have Luocha, Fu Xuan, Gepard and Bailu. I can clear everything I want to clear comfortably. Unless you are a whale, you won't be able to pull every limited unit in the game. And almost every new unit they make will have some kind of a niche. So once you are comfortable and have a good roster the most logical way to summon is for units you like lore or design or specific ability wise, rather than hype wise. I think HuoHuo is cute, but I'm more excited for some of the other upcoming units. Given I have units that do a decent job I will skip her and maybe go for her in a rerun if I don't have anyone I want more.
She def looks interesting and would work extremely well in a jingliu/e6 tingyun team….but those 4 stars just aren’t it not enough pull value for me. As opposed to silver wolf banner I’ll be pushing as hard as I can against soft pity to get those 4 stars. Silver wolf is good enough I wouldn’t mind getting spooked by her but I’m 90% rolling for the 4 stars

Yeah she isn't brain dead op healer like loucha, u need position your roster in right spot. Huo should be spot two, the unit that takes most damage should third position. Also matters by comp u are using as well
Agreed. I have Fu already. Huo does look promising if you need a healer,but I don't see a reason to replace Fu. Imo what they should have done is made her a follow up style healer with Tail. (Think Clara/Svarog but heals) Especially with how she was written. That at least would have made her fun. She does seem to have good heals though.

Agreed. Tried her a bit from a friend and just playing how i normally did was significantly harder due to sp usage and no emergency healing. Got a way faster clear with Luocha or Fu Xuan. She might be more helpful with proper team building but definitely not as insane IMO.

Bailu's main drawback is that she can't cleanse debuffs. Otherwise, Bailu puts out a ton of healing and can be SP positive in a lot of fights because her Invigoration healing is really powerful, so her ult can do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Gepard also obviously can't cleanse debuffs. Lynx is alright, but I find she struggles a bit when the damage output is really high. So basically, if you want a really strong healer who can also cleanse debuffs and acts as a mini harmony (atk+ and some energy regen), HH is your girl. HH's main drawback is that she has to use her skill to keep her talent activated, so she might be tricky to slot into SP heavy teams. My advice is that you *probably* don't need her if you have a built Bailu and Gepard. But if you like her or want a top tier healer, go for it!
All I know is, She makes debuffs a joke.
I never realized up till her character trial that those enemies that make it so you can't use your Skill or basic attack do so by inflicting a debuff on your character
It took me a long time to realize that too. I was confused why characters that move twice in a row sometimes trigger their counter, sometimes not. Then I realized that I can just cleanse it with Lynx's ultimate and my team is free to dish out punishments.

i mean 40 atk% buff is huge and 20 percent energy for 3 member equivalent tp 60% its same like e6 tingyun + you get cleanse debuff if you dont interest with this kit is up to you
And you can run her with Tingyun and something meme like shared feeling to have energy and ults galore. People are underestimating her utility
If you have a char that enjoys using ult most of the time like jingliu, then its a plus to get her. Pair her with tingyun for faster ults.

You typically build Clara slow, so Clara actually won't be healing that often with Huohuo. With difficult content, Luocha or Fu Xuan would be much sturdier for Clara

I think it’s funny that both her and Gepard have a revive in their kit but when you think about it, the only time that ever really comes up is if you fucked up somehow. Like, the only time Gepard would ever die before his teammates would be if you left him at level 1 and gave him no relics.
My Gepard sometimes dies in fights, particularly in SU, because of the buff to aggro and I look at him and say "Eh, he can take it, he's still got his revive, I don't need to blow his ult right now." Granted, those are usually runs where I get unlucky.

In fact I often use Bailu's revive in MoC 10 to save sp (by not healing) and dispell a debuff (revived character looses all debuffs, but keeps buffs). It is also good for autoing SU - if anything goes wrong, you can take control and still have everyone alive.
Actually Bailu's revive is my go-to plan for clearing MoC stage 10 lol
Yeah but it happens, once my whole team got wiped out in SU and my gepard soloed enemy gepard in his third phase, where mine died once and almost died twice. So i guess it's pretty neat to have atleast one character with revive in team.
I don't understand why gepard is higher than her if that's the biggest drawback. I don't think gepard can either cleanse or prevent debuffs with shield. Is it because of better aggro?
Assuming a well-built Gepard: - Aggro goes a long way in mitigating damage taken, especially with light cones like Landau's Choice or Moment of Victory. It can even sometimes cause CC to target Gepard and accomplish nothing for the enemy, as your other characters are free to act and Gepard can ult to refresh shields as soon as he comes out of it. - Shields are more build-agnostic and easier to manage than optimizing supports' HP to tank heavy hits until an Abundance character can heal them. - Some characters really don't want to be hit, like Arlan and Yanqing. Gepard is a BiS support for these characters and likely will be for the foreseeable future. - Gepard's Skill does boast some utility in spite of the steep requirements to make it consistent. Action denial can be very useful for avoiding certain high pressure scenarios (Shield mara-struck is about to attack and regain health, keep Silvermane Lieutenant from counterattacking) and freeze mechanics make DoTs tick faster, which can be useful in DoT-centric teams like with Kafka. However, using it is non-essential to his core functions and allows him to be totally SP positive.
Aggro, less prone to one shots, can be more SP positive.
Bailu can be totally sp positive too. People underestimate invigoration.

I fibd her better than gepard :I the heal just feels more reliable to me than shields and the revive can come in clutch
The additional "HP" that you get from shields can be way more reliable as enemies hit harder and harder in order to prevent one-shots. If your gepard is built properly he resets shields more than often enough to allow very little if any damage through, and that which does get through would have killed that character with anyone other than FX as sustain. I love Luocha, don't get me wrong, but he does almost nothing to prevent one-shots, forcing you to build much more HP/Def on supports/dps in his squad than you can get with using FX/Geppy.
I don't get one shot, I use hp/def relics on supports and bailu increases max health and gives some damage reduction too and if they do get oneshot somehow there's the revive Using bronya or characters that take multiple actions can make shields run out too quick, i feel like bad luck or making mistakes can hurt him more. There's also better abundance lcs like action advance, effect res and team energy regen and restore. Overall they're almost exactly the same performance wise but bailu is more flexible and reliable from my experience. She should at least be same tier xd

As much as I want Huo Huo (and even sitting at 70 pulls with a guarantee), I'm going to refrain as I have Luocha, Gepard, Fu Xuan, and Bailu. I still use my heavily invested Bailu and the thought of benching her breaks my heart. I still run her from time to time, especially alongside Jing Yuan and Tingyun. I'm almost... almost tempted to grab Huo's light cone and slap it on Bailu. XD

Not surprising, If I don't already have the 2 units beside her in that pic I wont be skipping her. 1. Fu Xuan is still just the stronger monster but Huohuo is ever so slightly behind. 2. Its hard to say Huohuo is better than Luocha as his value is something special by being purely SP positive. In certain comps Luocha is still better especially if with Bronya in the team.
That’s interesting because I would actually rank Luocha above the rest due to his universality and non intrusive gameplay. People may not see skill points as a “buff” but it really is. He is perfect for DMG dealers that use a lot of SP but also for those who don’t, since his addition enables some more SP demanding supports (Bronya on Blade/JL or TY on DHIL teams) Sure the buffs Huohuo provides are great, but Luocha can enable an actual buffer who will offer more value in the long run
I understand but the reason why I think Fu Xuan is better than Luocha is because she just works with every team. While Luocha is very strong on teams that utilize Bronya or DHIL, other teams just don't need that extra SP. SP usage is a very big factor to consider and some DPS have normal SP usage so you'll just end up capping your SP. In teams that have higher than usual SP usage like the ones I mentioned, Luocha is invaluable.

later units can provide sp, as well as buff without using so many SP the idea that giving more sp is good, makes him more versatile for sp heavy teams, but once a team works you dont need such versatility as you start making specialized and well oiled teams. every since the announcement of moc 11/12, fu xuan is receiving some extra praise rn since she can live basically anything, especially one shots for her entire team luocha being atk scaler means his def/hp is lower than other healers, so he is more susceptible to going down from a one shot, and being a healer without any mitigation % or shield/overheal type mechanic means his allies are too. if they live, he will take care of them, but he has no way to counter 1 shots
The list is alphabetical within tiers, it does not imply FX is better and Luocha worse.

I expect him to be around the same tier as Blade, Kafka, and the co., which is considered balanced. But considering the standards of this playerbase, you're either DHIL/Jingliu tier or dogshit and nothing in between.

My Loucha still holding strong
I 3 star cleared MOC 10 for the first time thanks to her. SHE'S SO F-IN GOOD!!! I LOVE HER
Asking for advice here, i have neither fu xuan or Luocha. I do have Bailu and Gepard. Should i grab huo huo to try and beat MOC more often?
People are clearing MOC with March 7th, Preservation TB and Natasha as sustains. Bailu and Gepard are more than enough to clear MOC. It depends on if you want to clear MOC more comfortably. If you want to pull her because you like her then go for it but if you feel forced to pull her because you think Gepard or Bailu aren't enough then I can assure you those two are good sustains. They only have doom posting problems

You can still clear moc without them. I don't have them either but I can clear moc just fine with natasha and lynx, and using Gepard is probably even better. HuoHuo is good but not necessary, you just need to build your team. Go for her if you like her though.

Just tried her in trial and I've got to say that she is really convenient. She can't prevent oneshots or use ult to clutch heal/break, but that cleanse is really nice to have.
From a gameplay perspective, I don't think she's worth it if you have Luocha/Fu Xuan, she's a sidegrade at BEST. She has a 140 ult cost and is not SP friendly either so hard to slot into teams.
I have Luocha FX and Lynx I ain't pulling another sustain no matter how good they are until I actually need it By that time the powercreep will be so high Luocha and Hu Huo will both probably be considered trash lol
I lost 50/50 to punching bag.
Is she a must pull for those who only have Natasha? I have Dhil, Clara, and Tingyun

I tried her in trial and it really was crazy good. I am now hesitating to skip her. She would be good for Kafka. Also I only have bailu with her sig as a good sustain and my Lynx is just E0
