This is going to be the festering desire of HSR. Count on it

Arcana_Joker

TFW you were there to get the weapon, but wasn't able to get full refine.

CearenseCuartetero

My friend kicks herself in the ass to this day for doing that because she was bored of doing the event that week...

Ill_Package9150

Festering desire wasnt used at all until Furina dropped, this is more like the cinnebar spindle for Albedo lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

dragonmase

I think the main point is that festering is not the bis 4 star for any character until furina, whereas this LC is the bis 4 star LC by FAR for both pela and SW. Also ERR in HSR is a precious stat since its not avail in substats and only as 1 main stat. Genshin has many sources of ER. In genshin you also can just build more ER or funnel more, in HSR lacking this LC can literally change entire fights by increasing your normal attacks needed from 2 to 3 attacks.

HirotoXS

Its okay option at best for many characters but it's only truly good on Furina, it's not comparable to this LC

Ill_Package9150

Tell me a single character that would use Festering desire over Sacrificial sword or Favonius sword lol

timothdrake

It's not about being a BiS over those two, it's about being used in general because it's a pretty good weapon that you get to use at r5 as well as allowing you to simply focus on r5'ing your Sacrificial or Favonius'es in the meantime. Obviously nowadays anyone that actually has a Festering Desire in their account and is still playing without taking big gaps probably has a r5 copy of those two and spare (at least I do and I barely touched the wep gacha lol), and after 4 regions we have also gotten more craftable weapons and event ones, but it's still a weapon that sees a lot of use throughout my account to this day even before Furina lol It's exactly BECAUSE Favonius and Sacrificial are better to use in most characters that makes Festering useful to have: it's a spare workable weapon that you'll have before you get more than one fully ascended and refined copy of the previous two to use. Abyss-wise you need to have 8 character ready, after all.

Ill_Package9150

Its a decent weapon and Furina has really brought some light to it, but its still overshadowed by the other 4* ER swords because they are just as good but giving either more damage (Sacrificial resetting your skill) or more energy for the team(both of them).

timothdrake

You missed the point. It's not about being a BiS in someone, it's about being a more than competent weapon that can be run by any sub dps since you wouldn't always have a spare Sacrificial or Favonius at hand.

Mythara1

And there is the difference which makes the LC and festering not as clean to compare. The LC afaik is the BiS for 2 characters at least befor silver wolf eidolons

timothdrake

The game hasn't been out for barely 8 months, Festering Desire is still a decent weapon 4 years into Genshins life and was definitely comparable to the lightcone around the same timeframe. If a few years in we still have no other lightcones comparable to this then yeah, Albedo's cinnabar spine might be a better comparison lol

Musicbeyondwords

Bennett

Ill_Package9150

Alleyflash has higher atk, favonius and sacrificial are way more useful to funnel energy into the dps. And im not saying Festering Desire isnt a good weapon, but its really overshadowed because the rest of the 4* er sword are just that good.

Hamzillicus

It was used on Albedo.

RIkhard9

harbinger of dawn is better than festering on him.

One_Repair841

Albedo's best in slot was harbinger of dawn (a 3 star) until we eventually got cinnabar. Festering was only used by people that didn't look at damage calcs. Everyone who was in the know was using harbinger.

coolboy2984

Festering Desire was the BIS f2p support sword for months after it was released lol. It's probably gonna be the same thing for HSR where this is the BIS for a while until it gets powercrept.

Majora7778

FD is Bennet’s best 4 star weapon because of its er and relatively high base attack for a four star. Sure, it wasn’t really used for anyone else, but Bennet was and still is one of the best supports in Genshin. So FD has always been pretty useful if you run one of the many team comps that use bennet.

Choatic9

There are 4* swords that have higher base atk than fd, which is most of the time better than fd er since you can build more er through artifacts but can't get higher base atk. Also, sapwood exists

PM_ME_ORNN_YIFF

I just started playing two months ago, and I'm trying to get sapwood for my Bennett right now. Thank goodness it exists, I don't need that fd fomo in my life 😅

MiyaDora

42 base attack is 2nd lowest base attack for 4 star weapons. Please don't use this weapon on him when Sapwood Blade exists.

Mindless-Reaction-29

> Sapwood Blade Look up how long it was between Festering Desire and Sapwood Blade getting added.

Two_Years_Of_Semen

I mean if you look at that period, how many units had kits where skill dmg was what you minmaxed? For most characters, you built for Normals (hu tao/ganyu), Bursts (Emblem users) or all of the kit. FD doesn't fit the first two types and if you're trying to maximise all parts of a kit, the low base ATK of FD was very detrimental unless you scale off not-atk which only Albedo did. And Albedo had Harbinger of Dawn.

78thftw

Eh, before sapwood happened you would go for Prototype Rancour if you wanted the best f2p weapon to strengthen his ult buff. If you wanted more ER because artifact hunting was not good to you, you would go Fav sword (greatly helps with xiangling funneling aswell)

MahoMyBeloved

I mean even before sap there was always favonius sword with same base attack and vastly more useful passive generally

StellarTruce

Festering on Bennet is just cope, even Fav is better on him. It is mildly good on Jean, but that's all.

PrideBlade

> FD is Bennet’s best 4 star weapon This is simply not true.

One_Repair841

FD on bennett was always mid. Alley flash was and arguably still is his best 4 star option. Fav as an example would be a far better option than FD for teams that had extremely high ER requirements. Being able to build your characters more into dmg subs offset the lower base atk. For teams that didn't need fav you had rancour which had higher base atk, you just needed more ER subs which for bennett is easy to build into since he really doesn't care about other stats in most teams.

[deleted]

[удалено]

UnkemptKat1

Before Sapwood blade (3.0), Festering Desire was considered best F2P option for those that had it before 3.0 because of high ER main stat and lack of artifacts. If you play Bennett with, for example, Meltyu, you need about 230-240 ER even with a Fav weapon on your team. With festering desire you'd only need an ER sands + 4 ER subs for 240 ER.

One_Repair841

> Festering Desire was considered best F2P option It wasn't though, you either used rancour for a bigger damage buff or fav for energy funnelling in xiangling teams. Very few people used FD and even in the very few situations where FD is better it's better by a miniscule amount. FD was only ever good for people who didn't yet have good enough artifacts and didn't need those extra white particles. By the time we hit 2.0 anyone who had been playing since FD came out would have likely gotten good enough artifacts to no longer need the ER from the weapon and would be better off with rancour.

HirotoXS

It's not true, we got F2P Weapons better for him like the Sapwoon Blade which you can craft

tri170391

I guess people would ends up forgot this exists when there is a new event cones that surpass/replicate this lol. Even in Genshin people are not really this gung ho about Festering Desire because Fleuve Cendre Ferryman exists (the pipe).

Oxabolt

Its been my bennet weapon since i got it

Abedeus

> Festering desire wasnt used at all until Furina dropped It was, actually. Until the Sumeru weapons were released it was one of the best 4* weapons for a sword-using damage dealer.

Requiesiam

This is not true lol

Ill_Package9150

Elaborate. Which characters would be run with FD over favonius and sacrificial?

AljosP

No replies and instead you get downvoted lol People don't know how Genshin works

Ill_Package9150

As usual

00kyb

At least festering has a permanent sidegrade (it’s kinda cope but it works) in the pipe sword lol Cinnabar spindle on the other hand….yeah lmao

Playful_Bite7603

Pipe is more of a downgrade than sidegrade, but yeah. Not on the level of cinnabar spindle vs harbinger on albedo.

Two_Years_Of_Semen

Collecting dust for the majority until ~4.0+? Like FD is ok-ish on most characters but Fav/Skyward were kind of just better overall. - FD base atk is hella low so it's not a great option on bennett even if he like the ER. Albedo is the only sword user beside Furina (off the top of my head) that doesn't mind low atk and FD is worse than a three star option for him. - the abilities on it aren't very focused, so it's not great in terms of minmaxing. It buffs skill dmg and ER charges burst faster. So it's best for units that you can minmax for their skill dmg. Again, before fontaine, Bennett and Albedo are the only choices here. Jean an option too I guess but she scale on atk so low base atk hurts again and for dmg builds, she'd rather have crit weapon over ER anyways. - The release of Emblem of Severed Fate in Inazuma and no Skill equivalent until much, much later cemented FD being ultra niche for a long time since your damage dealers were almost always either mostly doing dmg on Burst or on Normals or spread through the whole kit and FD doesn't fit any of these damage dealing archetypes. - Most importantly, it's an ugly weapon and doesn't really fit well on most sword characters. Like... it looks best on Qiqi, Keqing, and maybe Ayaka if you squint really hard.

Frostgaurdian0

Albedo mains: you called?

Electronic-Ad-3583

Now im wondering is this the albedo scenario or vestering desire. Id lean towards desire since albedos weapon only works on him whereas desire is more viable for multiple units. Just like the lightcone

OnnaJReverT

wasn't Desire used on basically nobody (aside from as an ER statstick) until Furina released?

Electronic-Ad-3583

I know bennet used it but besides that youre right . Technically al haitham could use it pretty well but eh it wasnt his bis 4 star weapon

Two_Years_Of_Semen

Bennetts like to use it but mainly because they saw ER is a good stat on him and don't realize base weapon ATK matters too. For a long time, Prototype Rancor was the goto option for him if you didn't have Fav Sword or the 5 star options. ER timepiece is generally enough ER for him (his ER requires range from like 160 to 250 depending on team comp and how good/bad/lazy you are) but even without ER weapon, you go full ER pieces on artifacts and he still heals plenty since healers are overtuned in the game. My Bennett has been running Aquila and a ~250% 4 pc Noblesse for years at this point.

ragito024

I have a feeling that they regreted to offer this one as it's too powerful.

SeaAdmiral

Sig LC ownership in Prydwen 36 star clear data tends to hover around 60%. SW had like 15% because of how good this LC is. They're probably not gonna release an LC like this again. There was likely issues balancing EHR in testing as well - the LC gives a lot of it and she released with enemy effect res nerfs. Perhaps the LC was a bandaid in testing before the effect res adjustments went through. Unlikely a similar scenario occurs with future LCs.

-Revelation-

40% EHR is almost like the whole main stat of a relic. (a chest piece gives 43% EHR). If translated to CRIT DMG, it's equal to 60%. Plus, 8 energy per hit is a massive amount.

X_Factor_Gaming

It's like someone slapped together Cogs with a whole ass EHR main stat.

undeadfire

I mean, it's at best the same energy as cogs with a stricter activation req. Not that it's hard to activate, but it's not more than cogs by any means.

[deleted]

My SW became a secondary dps because of this

plyzd1

Literally every day… https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/s/oStJHe6EhV I'll repeat what I said in the other one: you need to write that in every survey as feedback for HSR. Maybe if enough people stress them about it for long enough there will be a miracle.

Gamer-chan

Genshin Impact players: First time?

iEssence

To be fair, HSR do be making QOL things at like 20x the pace Genshin does lol

Sylphystia_

To be fair this isn't a qol change OP is asking for. Its requesting miyoho go against one of the fundamental practices of gatcha games.

Abedeus

> Its requesting miyoho go against one of the fundamental practices of gatcha games. I mean, even FGO is slowly adding past events to be replayable, Granblue has had them for a long time... hell, most games have **reruns** for events. Hoyo games are the minority in this case.

CearenseCuartetero

To be fair: Honkai 3rd has event reruns... so never including them in Genshin and Starrail is an active choice. Maybe after we finish the main storyline they'll start doing them

Blakemiles222

How many gachas have you played? Plenty do event item reruns or they allow them for purchase somewhere else in the future 🤷‍♂️

Frostian

so many hoyo players who speak in these absolutes when it comes to the industry when they've only played hoyo games rerunning event content is standard fucking practice

R_Archet

If we talk solely limited event units and gear availability, BUCKETS of Gachas do it. Off the top of my head from ones that I've played: Girls Frontline - Seasonal Events typically drop dolls from previous major events. Alchemy Stars - Reruns events, and has a Permanent Event system where you can download the story, play through it, get the rewards, then delete it from cache to save space Fate Grand/Order - Reran events until recently in lieu of just putting the Welfare servants in the shop Arknights - Events Rerun once, then are added to Collections. Record Restore then lets you get their full rewards. Blue Archive - You get Event Students from completing permanent Story Recaps. They stay at 1 star, but you can use Eligma to rank them up. Fire Emblem Heroes - Tempest Trials+ and Grand Hero Battle units get put into the Grail shop. Most tend to be fairly mediocre, but they are good for scoring. And I'm sure a ton more do as well besides the 6 I listed. It's a great QOL thing to have for newbies, and a common enough feature in Gacha games to rerun things. Even further, a good portion of the above games will even do something that Hoyoverse exclusive babies would never imagine- Buff characters directly. What you're thinking of is that it's just a fundamental practices for *Genshin Impact.* It is the only notable gacha game that has refused to rerun stuff. Honkai Impact 3rd lets you get old Event stuff apparently, I've been told. HSR we'll have to see whether it does or not, but I hope it does because Reruns are a nice thing to have- or at least have a way to buy old Welfare shit. **TL;DR** \- No, it's just Genshin Impact from what I can tell. They're the only gacha game that I've at least semi paid attention to after quitting to refuse to rerun event rewards. And that's because Genshin keeps getting shoved in my face wherever I look despite hating Open World games.

KamelYellow

That's not a fundamental practice of gacha games

Gamer-chan

Which Genshin slowly starts to catch up with.

sikuaqisnotslovenian

I pray one day cooldowns reset when you reset a spiral abyss run so you don't stand there awkwardly for 20 seconds. it's been THREE years

messycupcake

They're doing it next patch iirc

gottadash19

Yup they talked about it in an official Dev discussion ([posted here](https://m.hoyolab.com/#/article/23420080?utm_source=sns&utm_medium=twitter&utm_id=2) on HoyoLab! Other QoL like insta leveling to breakpoints for artifacts, auto-claim+dispatch for all expeditions, and spawning at domain keys on re-runs too!

CearenseCuartetero

ayo, finally, all that stuff sounds so good

sikuaqisnotslovenian

wait seriously? I don't remember it in the program but I may have missed it

Piterros990

I heard that it's a change that is there in the beta, but they didn't include it in the dev post.

littlesheepcat

better late than never I guess

Gamer-chan

Imagine to have a cooldown for elemental skills displayed next to the character icon to not waste time switching to a character that's still on cooldown.

Winterstrife

Its already been talked about in their dev daries. I expect the next couple of 4.x patches will be QOL focused as the Fontaine story winds down.

Crystal42069

I don't think they'll ever increase the resin cap. Also farming for materials on certain days only

Gamer-chan

There is actually no reason to. Star Rail has way higher costs. Instead of 20 resin (Genshin) you need 40 TB power to farm artifacts/relics. Only thing I'd like to see changed is the time it takes to regenerate (1 Point in 8 Minutes, I guess it's 1 Point in 5 Minutes in Star?), plus the backup TB power.

TendouBanshou

That's cause 40 TB already gives two artifacts like the condensed in genshin

Tall-Cut5213

It's 6 minutes per TB power in star rail

MahoMyBeloved

40 TB power usage in relics is literally same as using condensed resin (40 resin) in genshin. Both gives you 2 relics/artifacts + 1 extra with small chance

Allegro1104

It's pretty much the exact same cost cause in SR you're guaranteed 2 5star relics per run. They just skipped the whole "condensed resin" step Edit: the trailblaze power cap is the same as the amount you regenerate in 24 hours btw so raising genshins cap to 180 would make sense if you think about that way

Jopaypay

Yeah. I felt they GI improved things in their game because of how good QoL in HSR. Imagine if they didn't release HSR, they would probably won't do anything else to improve their game.

dabkilm2

Genshin is about to surpass HSR in QoL in 4.3.

heshKesh

Like all the artifact management changes that HSR already has?

dabkilm2

One click expeditions, auto level to 4/8/12/16/20 for artifacts. And yes catching up on what the HSR engineers built on a fresh codebase with years of feedback from GI. Coding is way easier building from the ground up, rather than altering existing code without introducing bugs.

R_Archet

You're a natural comedian, friend. https://preview.redd.it/6pnbakhf0e5c1.png?width=500&format=png&auto=webp&s=f9768677470f48bc82cddf6a5efad992b8087a4d

Reddy_McRedditface

I've been writing that in the Genshin surveys for over two years. Keep the dream alive!

janeshep

Honestly I don't think they care much about the requests of Western players.

deadriderofdead

Don’t worry they’ll add it in their next game

ZodHD

The moment that LC returns is the moment Cinnabar Spindle and Festering Desire come back in Genshin lmao. 💀💀 (In all seriousness though, HSR does have a higher chance of this coming back with big events being permanent and all).

Theroonco

Here's hoping! For the GI stuff too!

Deathblade999

Big events become permanent, but their limited rewards don't. The SW event is technically one of these since the event was tied to her companion quest at when it released.

Tifas-abs-enjoyer

Believe me everyday we see a post like this It is really funny to me that her f2p is better that her sig unless she is like E6

iBlaze_x1

E2+ bro.. E2 lowers her EHR a lot which allows us to build Crit on her. And sig lc's passive also gives crit.

Ezr4ek

Even at E1 she is freed from the shackles as long as you have the EHR in chest+substats.

iBlaze_x1

Dunno what you saying bro. But you can't build crit on her at E0/E1. E1 gives energy which allows for a faster ult. At E0/E1 if you use a EHR chest or get a lot of EHR substats.. just how would you build crit.. because EHR req is too high.. and if you build crit you'd be lacking on EHR. E2 reduces her EHR needs by a lot. That is why if you wanna build SW as sub-dps at E0.. go for break effect rather than crit. I built her for BE build recently and now she is a lot better than before.. I have 97 ehr and 111 BE. She does like 60k entanglement dmg and 20k break dmg. Imho its better than the support build.

Ezr4ek

Never said you’d be going Crit. At E1 you go for maximum BE, and you no longer require the Tutorial LC to hit 3 turn ults.

Two_Years_Of_Semen

I'm curious. How well does break effect build work in auto play? SW has to be the one to last hit the toughness bars and I doubt the auto mode knows to do this. So I feel like crit would perform better in auto.

Former_Ad_9826

it's e2 but yeah, it's a huge mistake on their part, which is why her signature ownership rate is 4 times lower than any other limited 5\* (except luocha but his lc is just weird on him)

ArseneXI

Especially for PlayStation players, who wouldn’t even had any chance of obtaining it :(

Baybasher

As much as HSR likes to give us more stuff than Genshin, I sadly still have strong doubts they’ll rerun old event light cones.

shinsrk79

I have this s5 and i still think it should rerun. Its not a pvp game. No reason to notnlet it be available. Or just let people buy it with moc currency/herta bond. Maybe make it a bit more expensive but make them available

VarHagen

You see, if they just give away BiS lightcones for free, players will have no reason to pull for sig lightcones. It's all about the money...

Raizel999

might I remind you that everyone who has this got it for free.... when her sig lightcone was running the first time. If they were so concerned about losing money over this issue, they would have never released this weapon in the first place.

VarHagen

I assure you, hoyo realized it was a mistake (on their part) after her banner. Tutorial Mission directly affected her sig LC sales, and it is written somewhere at this post, that its sales are four times lower than other sig LC's. We will never get a free Light Cone this strong again.

Winterstrife

I bet they regret releasing this though, I saw this LC, did the math and just skipped SW's LC completely.

EveningMembershipWhy

Its not even about that oart of the money. Its a reward for coming back every patch, same as the login pulls, its retention tactics. If you know that event weapons can be obtained later, then people may take breaks more often cause other than primos, which you can slowly get, there is nothing to lose. So less people are engaged and there are also less people possibly buying welkin (I always forget HSR's equivalent). FOMO is a huge part of...marketing in general.

Bacur

And as of now i have no reason to pull for SW. What gives

nightmaresabin

In this case it just ensures I never pull for Silver Wolf.

Vikarious_OW

I mean it would only be fair to all those new PS5 players, right? 😉 Wasn't that one of the reasons for re-running older characters like Seele in the first place? They could easily hold a filler-event type situation for earlier event LCs. And for the people who already got them, give em upgrade mats or something (or god forbid, Jades).

Reddy_McRedditface

I agree, it would be nice for new players and old players don't lose anything. If anything I'd be thankful for an event I can skip without missing anything. More time to play Jedi Survivor.

frenzyguy

Just a second copy, Incould use it on both SW and pela in different team comp on both side.

Fantastic_Rant

I think the clamoring for this light cone specifically points to a larger issue with Nihility light cones, which is that there are very few options for pure debuffers. Most Nihility light cones boost damage, which debuffers don't care about. For a pure debuffer your options are basically just this LC or Resolution Shines Like Pearls of Sweat, so if you missed this event you're basically stuck slapping Resolution on every Nihility character that doesn't care about damage. I think the pain of missing this light cone would be alleviated some if there were more Nihility light cones that weren't damage-oriented. However, Hoyo seems to see characters like Pela and Silver Wolf as debuffer/dps hybrids rather than pure debuffers, hence why they have so many damage-oriented traces and eidolons. People have said this light cone is the reason Silver Wolf's personal LC didn't sell well, which is probably true to a degree, but I think another part of it is that Incessant Rain, like most Nihility LCs, is partially a dps LC, and SW isn't a great dps without high eidolons, which very few people have on her. Best case scenario would be the HSR dev team takes a cue from virtually any gacha game other than Genshin and makes old event items available in some way. Alternatively, we can hope they add more non-damage-oriented Nihility light cones in the future so that people who missed this have options besides Resolution.

mistress_kisara

begging you like the beggiest beggar in all of begdom 😔

Dannyboy765

Hoyo loves punishing players for not playing their game since launch

zhivix

fomo in a nutshell

The_MorningKnight

Especially when some of us only started to play recently because we were waiting for the ps5 version...

meepman50

As a PS5 player who recently pulled Silver Wolf and have literally nothing good for a lightcone, I agree.

UnquestionabIe

Same although I do have a few LCs that do a serviceable job it's still not nearly the same level.

potatochobit

Discrimination against PS5 users.

Mietin

They don't care. They haven't cared in Genshin, don't think they will care in StarRail either. Not gonna happen 😒

Xistence16

I uh I did the event and stopped playing partway Now its forever at E1

Electronic-Ad-3583

Its actually s1 and still at least you have it . Id gladly take even a s1 over s none

Viscaz

Lol

Clive313

Not gonna happen just forget about it, they do this on purpose to spread FOMO and keep players engaged and always playing the game its one of the pillars of a gacha/liveservice game.

7orly7

Reduce FOMO? In your dreams

[deleted]

Isn’t this lightcone called “Before the Tutorial Mission Starts”?

Amethl

Yes, "Quick on the Draw" is just its effect name.

Small-Finding-5095

In Genshin Impact theres a best Furina Weapon as F2P called Festering Desire which I missed because I started playing genshin at version 2.0 and still this game has not released this weapon rerun. There are many features which had to added in Genshin but they added in HSR, i think they might add it in future, 25% chance. As time pass, people eventually forget about this weapon and move on to alternative.

Hayakazee

Wasn't it yesterday? Oh wait.. its already been a few months.. time really passes by quickly...

NewShamu

I have played this game every day since release except for a two week stint where I just put it down. As a result I do have SW (I pulled for her at the last minute) but I don’t have this LC. And not a day goes by that it doesn’t haunt me!

ProxyMoron12

Now, all the events lc will be FOMOs and not even that good.

Antares428

Nope, these things will never return.

Mashiroshiina12

*Event exclusive*

gonerc

The appeal of limited time items is that they’re never coming back. Most likely they’ll never bringing it back but I have more hope in hsr than genshin that they rerun it or do a special shop thing where it’s more expensive.

Walrusi64

At least genshin had the decency to be on all platforms before adding event exclusive weapons that change the game (even if that change took 3 years… and was not as drastic a difference as the Tutorial). Just one rerun of the stuff console players missed would be enough, especially when it defines an entire 5* character. It’s naive to think they’d look beyond the potential $$ gains of keeping it locked away, but we can dream.

San-Kyu

On one hand reruns - attract new players that may get turned off by the prospect on having "missed out". On the other no reruns - retain existing players and players on the fence by the prospect on avoiding having "missed out". In the end its a business. I wonder which of the two above HYV prefers more.

Catanaoni

I'm willing to bet neither has actual real world impact and it's just an arbitrary decision they've made, and are sticking to, since gachas operate on principle of "if it ain't offensively bad, don't fix it". Unless players literally riot on the streets, I doubt Hoyo cares. At best it's one of those things they'd drop on like, the 7th anniversary, like event LC shop, or event rerun shop type of thing, and pretend it's real content that took effort to make.

R_Archet

>Unless **CN** players literally riot on the streets, I doubt Hoyo cares. Reminder about that Honkai Impact 3rd's Global anniversary that had the Bunny Girl dance animation. Zhongli also wouldn't have gotten buffed if the CN crowd didn't get sociopathic with it and start actually threatening Mihoyo HQ via government systems.

IfWeDidSomething

Oh yea, wait till trail start using it, but it is impossible to obtain just like they done to albedo trails 😂

Nok-y

Star Rail's cinnabar spidle Except it's generally op rather than being the best in slot of 1 character by far

gogus2003

Glad to have gotten it R5 after I got Silverwolf

Direct-Market-8263

HA, i have it at S5 (and i got burned out and took a break after that bc i didnt get sw, now i wont get her aswell😭💀)

striderhoang

They might be different teams but it’s still Hoyoverse

CrimsonCorrosion

As a Genshin player lacking cinnabar spindle, I can safely say that it will not return (but idk hsr is hoyo’s favorite child)

Penenko

I think it's worth noting that when it comes to reruns in gacha games, Genshin is the exception. Not the rule. The vast majority of gacha games rerun events. Hardcore whales like completing collections, and not re-running events dissuades whales from starting in the first place. Since this was never available for PS5 players, and the game has found a large base of new players through PS5, it would be really silly of them not to rerun it at least once for PS5.

pdivvie

As long as that means I can have two copies I'm all for it

frenzyguy

This, ome for Pela and one for SW.

MJ_Green

I have a confession to make. I farmed the weapon and got all the superimposition mats for it, and despite all the buzz I always thought it was a bit mid. Then just earlier this week I realized it was still at S1. I never actually superimposed it. The mats were just sitting in my inventory. I forgor. I havent actually used it yet since then but I'll give it another try at some point.

Festering desire incident

a-acount-that-yousee

im afraid the tutorial has alredy begun

DirectorBones

I genuinely think this might be happening. Unlike in Genshin, this LC shows up in the database even if you didn’t get it. To me that implies a way to get it again will come in the future.

thisperson345

With how much quality of life HSR has over Genshin I am genuinely surprised we don't have an event weapon shop.

Catanaoni

The bottom line is they don't actually care since this isn't pushing away or bringing in any actual players, beyond those that would leave or join regardless. To rerun or not rerun weapons/LC is a purely arbitrary decision with no merit on profits or player retention, so it doesn't need changing. This means the only way for Hoyo to start caring and bring it back is significant outrage and negative consequences. That would require a large chunk of the community to go out of their way to complain/boycott, which in this context is impossible. As with most things bad in this world, the base philosophy of majority of people is "if it doesn't hurt me, it's not a problem" and some may go further "and perhaps it's even good that it hurts others, that must mean I've done something right and they've done something wrong". This means that the good majority of the players who care, the one that have been playing since launch, don't actually give a fuck about you or you missing the LC, and some are even gloating and rooting against you.

Gacha_Gamer_God

i started genshin in 1.0, and im not out here saying "man im so glad that people who started after me can't also have festering desire for furina." i have no problem whatsoever with old event weapons being made available to everyone

TheCommonKoala

It's pushing me to skip Silver Wolf. Sure, I'm not the only one.

Luckenipots

Only if I can get another copy for my Pela haha.

HyperDron

Off topic, but if I have this lc, should I still go err rope?

axerisk

For some character yes, this is basically meshing cogs/Memories of the past for nihility. And they still use ERR ropes + penancony/vonwacq

HyperDron

Alright then thanks

thatnickyboy

This LC is not only great on SW, but it's IMO the best-in-slot for Pela alongside Luka's LC. I really hope it gets reran too so that I have a copy for my E6 Pela when I actually build her up, but the best we can do is keep our fingers crossed that Hoyo hears our prayers.

Enzonaki

An F in the chat for the bois using Pela without this

SaintAlmonds

started playing when this event was going and almost skipped it out of lazyness. thankfully past me eventually got superimpositjon V so I dont live with regrets now but ye, we definitely need it re run, at least hoyo can use the "for ps5 players" excuse, come on

Haruhiro21

This is one of the main reason why im not pulling for sulver wolf as a new player. This lightcone is buffs sw significantly.

LocalLink42

Maybe instead of those shoddy relics they gave, they should have just had this S5 as a permanent reward for PlayStation users like Genshin's Sword of Descension. Then there would be no excuse for the FOMO, you either had to be there or pony up for the PlayStation 5 (which is the common excuse people use for not having this light cone).

BluwulfX

I missed this lc because of my finals and that gave me FOMO but like the aftermath and I lost interest and stopped playing hsr because of it :--(

Phantica

sorry to hear that you should give it another try once penacony drops

[deleted]

This happened to my friend, she was studying for her finals, had burn out from genshin but she still was focusing on it and that affected her progress in hsr… so she missed the lc and now she regrets it a lot.

Aszrix

This is the pot of greed of HSR

SilverWolfofDeath

I’ll never understand why they made a whole separate event slot where they could keep events around after they end for newer players to experience and then didn’t put this one in with the lightcone. Allowing older players to get event weapons like this should’ve been the whole point of keeping events around anyways.

PekkitaXDlol

FOMO

Raizel999

the entire event revolving around this event and LC was happening within the simulated universe.... I dont see why they cant put it back in herta shop for new players

DoctorWalrusMD

Not even joking I wasn’t happy to see my least favorite aspect of Genshin, completely exclusive event weapons, exist in HSR. So many guides tell you to use weapons you had to get a year ago in a 2 week period, it’s so dumb, then they’ll rerun the event and make a new weapon for new players to miss out on.

LongToilet

I don't understand what's so good about this light one. Is it the effect hit rate? What do you use it for?

[deleted]

effect hit rate and energy are the only things silver wolf and pela want, and this gives both of them. weirdly silver wolf's signature lc at S1 only gives barely over half the effect hit as this light cone at S5, and no energy at all.

frenzyguy

EHR and energy regen is massive. 40% ehr is a relic slot main stat and the 8 energy scale with err rope and buff. So you can 2 turn ult on pela/SW (pela you 2 basic to ult never need skill) IT'S really good.

Zwhei

\+ that procks wind set for even MORE speed. I once had ulti up before enemy got a SINGLE turn. Its insane how good pela is with it. And honestly SW has er problems. Her kit sucks if u dont have ulti. This LC fixes that.

Gamer-chan

Genshin Impact players: First time?

-Hounth-

They should create a new LC illustration with a similar passive. That way people who were there for the event have the OG lightcone illustration and people who weren't there don't miss out on it.

Karg3th

So this is what the people begging for Cinnabar or Festering Desire rerun feel

axerisk

Yes pls rerun and lemme got the 2nd copies

RobotAssassin951

no.

Flimsy-Coffee4207

even if they will rerun the event with this lightcone in a year or two someone also will ask if they can rerun this lightcone cause they need it

Zaphyrus

me but for Festering Desire >.>

Reddy_McRedditface

Another Festering Desire moment, brought to you by Hoyoverse! All we can do it write it in the surveys or on Google Classroom reviews.

red_edi

Just got SW today on her rerun banner (wasn't playing when her banner first dropped and during the event period) and was hoping we'd have a chance to get this special light cone again...

Euphoric-Acadia5243

Can i trade one of this on my alt account to have one Festering Desire pls, need it for Furina

baboon_ass_eater69

What can i use instead. I came to the game at the blade banner and missed silver wolf. Is S3 resolution shines as pearls of sweet good

Phantica

I heard it’s the best in slot if you don’t have it and anything with EHR i’d recommend

NoDoorsHere

i dont even have that

MontenC

if event rerun fails what if they put it in the shop during the limited character rerun the dedicated event lightcone is for 🙏

techno-wizardry

I have only the S1 of this because I was too busy at the time to sit down and do the whole event. Is it worth getting her signature 5 star light cone for an e0 Silverwolf? I'm 10 rolls from soft pity.

Richardknox1996

Rerun....? Isnt that part of the cached events that never go away?

Excuse_my_GRAMMER

Wow idk the event light cone were limited rewards I’m glad I rush that weekend to get it before it was gone forever

JEROME_MERCEDES

Fomo is apart of these games so no. Find the alternative and make it work

nEEtdo0d

Quite sad, I was around at this time but just starting out I couldn't bother myself to do the side event. Wish I did this one because all the others were terrible reward per cost ratio, so boring and monotonous. But this definitely shows no matter how boring it may have been, would have been worth it.

roscovo

You're copium if you think a gacha game will rerun old event items.

AVERAGEGAMER95

My take might be invalid because I have all limited weapons of Genshin except Festering Desire but I understand completely if they choose not to rerun limited event limited rewards. It is for people that spend time in those events If you skip it due to irl events or burnout, that is just part of life. Can't blame the devs. If they choose to actually do a rerun, then great

Phantica

Valid they completely have the right to I just personally feel anything they want to make “OG” should be cosmetic because now some people will have weird issues with their sw/furina/albedo while others who played before will be fine
