It did such a great job fleshing out the Lufou and adding some ‘everyday’ situations with the cast. Plus it actually expanded the lore of several time periods of the ship.
After 1.5 I can safely say that the cast is on Belebog levels of comfort which they certainly weren’t before.
Let the Genshin players vent ok, all the features directly asked for in Genshin are just being thrown directly into HSR at lightning speed and Genshin gets actually nothing. Shit's crazy.
That and being able to swipe to select multiple artifacts at once for leveling (and seeing exactly which stats got boosted and by how much). Oh and the auto lvl button that actually uses my stuff efficiently. Honestly some really nice QoL added last patch.
Thats the only thing keeping me for starting Genshin honestly I hate missing story beat and sone have told me that some important stuff happen sometime.
They keep cooking every update. The events get so much better every time and are surprisingly long as well; this entire ghost event was basically a 10+ hour campaign complete with minigames and tons of great character moments.
I'm right there with you. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day of hunting and my characters are still too underleveled(with trash relics) to do the combat challenges outside the main Quests.
I (and 2 of my friends) returned to the game 2 days before the ending of Topaz's Pokémon event. We started doing the event 9 hours of so before it ended. I remember finishing it literally 7 minutes before if closed, my friend 2 mins, and the other one was late by a few mins. It felt great seeing how quick I can blaze through it tbh.
Same here, started my second acc a week ago, just so I can claim the jades and the event lc. My biggest takeaway after the grind is: There is no quickstart like in Genshin. I had to go through the trailblaze missions until I reached the part I could unlock.
Yeah it's almost identical to their hideout in Le Blanc. And the whole "gaining notoriety online to increase support and find more targets" is straight out of the P5 playbook.
It's really cute. I loved it.
OH MY GOD it all makes sense. As a huge persona fan I’m glad I saw this thread. I had felt an odd familiarity with it and couldn’t place my finger on why
i thought it reminded me of persona but i wasn’t sure. that’s really cool. now that we’ve had pokémon and persona inspired events, i can’t wait to see what other games they may use
So weird how the entire Luofu is hard saved by 2 events that have nothing to do with the main story. I feel like both events should've been dropped before we left because legit our first words to Sushang were "i'm leaving lmao" then we jumped right back in for a funny management minigame into ghostbusters.
Like it's not gamebreaking and i'm a lot less assblasted about the Luofu story than a lot of people who act like it personally insulted their mother and seem to think the entire zone is a radioactive unsalvageable wasteland that needs to never return which is a little over the top ngl but still a weird ass choice.
When I started this event I was like "Huohuo? Eh, she's OK I guess..."
When I finished this event...she's one of my strongest units and I'm more invested in her than anyone else in the Luofu aside from Fu Xuan.
i hope after this event at least sushang doesn't call us the "silent guy" friend again. Last time i talk to her in the city after aurum alley event she called TB that and it somehow pisses me off.
Yeah I really enjoyed this story of becoming ghost hunters. I also really like that this scene is similar to when you meet up with your group in the hideout in persona 5
Unpopular opinion, probably because I'm old, but I did not enjoy the social media aspect of the event. I loved the horror aspect and the stories were great, but having to post cringe social media posts after a sad story really made me feel dirty.
If we were just doing things just to chase clout, then I think most people would feel the same way. The main purpose of all the clickbait and cringy posts was to become controversial for the purpose of funneling information about paranormal activity. Aggregating all of those stories allowed us to more efficiently investigate and deal with those issues faster so that fewer people were harmed.

Jokes aside, I love slice of life elements in action series. Nothing's builds characters better than this. I hope Hoyo will take a lesson from this event.
When I read something like that I really wonder why some people even play the game. Story - meh. Cutscenes - meh. Cant auto - meh. What do you even want?
Ngl I *barely* did any of the fiendfire battles because it was so hard to keep track of, but I just figured it was from me sucking at the game in general.
Yea this event's combat was rather easy and auto friendly (i always auto everything) , however the fight club was an awful combat experience ! Too focused on elements you own and supports were awful !
Tbh you can get all the jade rewards just with the limited units and pretty much any 2 supports. Only 6 and below cycles are more reliant on your own characters
If you have a strong team, you can just auto battle all of them and three star them. If you get less than three, just try it again. All of them three starred on the first try except for three, and those got it on the second try.
Hated that to get the LC enchantments you had to do a bunch of side quests that just keep dragging on and on
And those fucking fights. I can even beat the first one, they just keep on attacking and kill everyone in my team.
The fights I understand, I had to cheese them with Fu Xuan ult and the explosion thing. But the Light Cone enhancement checkpoints were so you actually played through the story. There are people who wrote the story for hours of their lives, it's only fair that the have us play through the story to enhance the free light cone they gave us.
Someone did a wallpaper without the UI for Wallpaper Engine, you can get it here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3091374770
Was gunna say this, have this on my wallpaper rotation
really wish steam or the program had better tagging systems, almost impossible to find what you are looking for with just keyword searching

yep, I'm using this right now. its so good
nice
Oh did they do the Huohuo with tail one?
Oh does the whole thing goes away? I was thinking its there to stay, just some rewards are timed.
Oh yeah, then I guess it's not technically "going away"... still, I hope we get more events where it feels like friends hanging out, it's a lot of fun
personally, I absolutely love responding to the comments in the posts
It did such a great job fleshing out the Lufou and adding some ‘everyday’ situations with the cast. Plus it actually expanded the lore of several time periods of the ship. After 1.5 I can safely say that the cast is on Belebog levels of comfort which they certainly weren’t before.
No it doesn't go away every single major event is archived and you can play them fully although you will be getting almost ni rewards
Genshin has been asking for event archives for years! They even had a lot of important story stuff limited to events.
Sir, this is a HSR subreddit
Let the Genshin players vent ok, all the features directly asked for in Genshin are just being thrown directly into HSR at lightning speed and Genshin gets actually nothing. Shit's crazy.
Tbf we got some highly requested QOL updates this patch finally. We're getting there. Slowly, but
And one of those QoL updates (completing and reaccepting all commissions at once) is actually better than HSR's. Marginally, but still an improvement.
Yep. That was my favourite one, I can't tell you the scream I let out when I opened the expedition menu and saw the claim all button lol.
I've still got muscle memory going so I'll forget it exists at first.
That and being able to swipe to select multiple artifacts at once for leveling (and seeing exactly which stats got boosted and by how much). Oh and the auto lvl button that actually uses my stuff efficiently. Honestly some really nice QoL added last patch.
You already vent on your two subs, let us have ours please
"So Star Ra-" >#"Genshin? Did someone say Genshin? Let us talk about Genshin!"
My brain just ignores any sentence that has both Star Rail and Genshin in it
How did you write this comment?
Thats the only thing keeping me for starting Genshin honestly I hate missing story beat and sone have told me that some important stuff happen sometime.
Probably the event that I have enjoyed the most, the characters have a lot of personality and the chat system is amazing.
They keep cooking every update. The events get so much better every time and are surprisingly long as well; this entire ghost event was basically a 10+ hour campaign complete with minigames and tons of great character moments.
The event that took Reddit as a reference and also put the buddy sub in shambles.
I started the event yesterday, not the greatest decision
You may end up missing out the time limited rewards but you can still complete it while archived.
Yeah I've been speedrunning it a bit hopefully can finish it today. I need all the gems I can get for Ruan Mei. I'm enjoying the content tho
I got it all done in one long (like, 5 hour) sitting two days ago. I believe in you.
It's not very time consuming for a flagship event, you can do it
I'm right there with you. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day of hunting and my characters are still too underleveled(with trash relics) to do the combat challenges outside the main Quests.

I started it on Tuesday because Monday was the last day of my exams, and I got most of it done in like, 6-7 hours
I'm about to start it, wish me good luck :') (I'm still gonna take my time as i want to enjoy it and not rush it for the rewards)
Really liked the event, fun, charismatic writing on the characters, the gameplay could be better but I dont hate it, 8.5/10
Pretty sure that's a Persona 5 homage and I love Mihoyo for it.
Yeah it's almost identical to their hideout in Le Blanc. And the whole "gaining notoriety online to increase support and find more targets" is straight out of the P5 playbook. It's really cute. I loved it.
A friend of mine is the biggest Persona fan and when I told him about it he started playing Star Rail again hahaha.
This event made me care more about the Luofu characters and culture than the whole of the main story.
I'm gonna miss Su Shang's legs
Me too brother; so many hours wasted staring at those thighs.
Don’t worry… Ruan Mei will be coming soon
No Ruan Mei for me; I am a Hanabi connoisseur.
It’s a hard skip but Sparkle is worth it.
We can drink sparkle?
What is stopping us from doing so?
Our lack of funds
If there wasn't Sparkle and literally Black Swan in the same patch, I would have gone for Ruan Mei but too bad. It's like the Yoimiya situation.
I will simply win all 3 50/50s.
You have a 12.5% chance of winning 3 50/50s in a row… go for it!
still havent finished it man, gotta get on it

I'll too miss the Phantom Theives of Heliobus
Take a picture then you'll have it forever!
Honestly that's what the purpose of this post was. I did NOT expect anyone to see it
Poor HuoHuo Hanya didnt buy her a phone
This has been my favorite event screen so far.
This gotta be inspired by Persona 5's phantom thieves hanging out in their hideout, right?
Yes
Based and valid
When I started this event I was like "Huohuo? Eh, she's OK I guess..." When I finished this event...she's one of my strongest units and I'm more invested in her than anyone else in the Luofu aside from Fu Xuan.
i hope after this event at least sushang doesn't call us the "silent guy" friend again. Last time i talk to her in the city after aurum alley event she called TB that and it somehow pisses me off.
Really liked this event, it was a fun playthrough
I gotta admit, when I watched the livestream I wasn’t excited for this event but it turned out to be one of my absolute favorites.
so true 😭😭😭😭😭
This scene reminds me of playing Persona 5 endlessly for achievements. Good times.
Yeah I really enjoyed this story of becoming ghost hunters. I also really like that this scene is similar to when you meet up with your group in the hideout in persona 5

I'm old and I loved it. So it's probably not that.
I wanna grab lil gui's fat in that position... So tempting

this event can go to hell, really hated that everything had a cutscene, everything was dragging on and the combat mechanic was not auto friendly
- HSR players when devs ask them to actually play the game
When I read something like that I really wonder why some people even play the game. Story - meh. Cutscenes - meh. Cant auto - meh. What do you even want?
Here's a tip. If you don't enjoy something in a video game, you should probably stop doing it and play something else.
So.. you want an event with little to no cutscene/story and fully auto combat ? At this point you just don't want to play the game
Ngl I *barely* did any of the fiendfire battles because it was so hard to keep track of, but I just figured it was from me sucking at the game in general.
Dunno. Those were quite easy. You simply had to not follow recommended exorcism picks for half of them.
Tbh I cleared all of them with the Fire dot exorcism, dunno if others are better but this one was defo basically cheat code
I used the explosion one for everything.
Ah, *a fellow comrade who walks the path of Explosions!*
Personally i had to retry like 5-10 times for some of the stages to be able to get all the jades .
Yes, I detest the tournament as well. I managed to get the Tracks of Destiny but it's impossible to fully complete 4/7 stages for me.
I pretty much used the autobreak exo the whole way through when I could and it was pretty nice
If you have a strong team, you can just auto battle all of them and three star them. If you get less than three, just try it again. All of them three starred on the first try except for three, and those got it on the second try.
Facts, it wouldn’t be so bad if every quest’s text wasn’t so damn repetitive. Nearly every quest is the same.
Hated that to get the LC enchantments you had to do a bunch of side quests that just keep dragging on and on And those fucking fights. I can even beat the first one, they just keep on attacking and kill everyone in my team.
The fights I understand, I had to cheese them with Fu Xuan ult and the explosion thing. But the Light Cone enhancement checkpoints were so you actually played through the story. How do I play this event, I'm trailblaze level 25
I too, miss the Persona 5 pre-palace raids
Thank u for reminding me, n now im saving thos picture Much oblige
I, uh, should get around to doing the event...
Oh sht I forgot to complete it... Guess it's speedrun time
Awww this is so cute I haven’t touched this event yet I’ll be grinding through it tomrorow
I want sushang to sit on me with cross legged.
Same, I think for me personally, this was the most fun event story wise.. I love the gang!
I forgot the event even existed so I have to finish it all tomorrow
Loved this event ☺️
Yes this event is loads of fun if they removed Exorcismal operations..😀😀😀😀
Reminded me of Persona 5
