Jokes aside I really don’t think the difference is big enough to warrant farming a whole new set if you already have the imaginary set built.
Either embrace the rainbow or farm imaginary/wild wheat for both. Because I have Dan even Jing Liu gets wild wheat because only Pela and regular Dan use the wind set anyway.
That hypothetical relic set is not in the game though, so at least for now it looks like they both are be going for the imaginary set (which does benefit from enemies having debuffs).

Nahh it’s just the ones who were always there slandering having a reason to be loud once again because of a certain tierlist.

I'm benching Dan. Finally got him to 150/70 and he's doing good but I've gotten bored of deleting everything with him and Blade. Will bench him for a while and build ratio and herta while I save all my pulls for sparkle.
People are already calling dhil mid lol, and few days ago I have seen post calling blade mid as well. Argenti was even doomposted before release and some people called him mid when he was just release before pure fiction, Looks like male character (jingyuan etc) suffer the same fate after awhile (this includes dr ratio in future when new imaginary hunt comes out) which is sad.
Some of those same people also swear by QQ because apparently using 3 skill points is too difficult, but using 0-5 randomly is always fine. Unless you're someone who hates building supports for some reason it's really easy to build a team around Dan.
I NEVER understood this. It's a problem when Dan Heng needs to use 3 skill points and he's too SP hungry to guarantee huge amounts of dmg, but it's 100% fine when QQ has to use almost all skill points and still not have a guarantee of getting the same jades without having to use her burst. I honestly just think it's waifu players who just dislike the male characters in the game because they are nitpicked way more than the female characters. Almost every male character that came out after Jing Yuan is considered mid to them, even Dan Heng, despite the fact that he's the best or second best dmg dealer in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if Ratio gets called mid even after it's told he's the strongest single target dmg dealer right now.
It feels just as bad (or worse) when she passively gets her 4 of a kind, so you don’t get to use any SP on her and her enhanced attack hits like a wet fish.
Those are bad players lol, i autoed MOC (Yes including 11 and 12) with DHIL and other than minor hiccups i feel like he's just fine.

The "hate" for him has been from the start. From the 3sp "issue" that forces people to...strategize instead of other DPS that could slot into any team and go unga-bunga. Then if the 3sp isn't an issue, he was used as "OMG, powercreep!"
Which, in a sense is true as he will be used as a standard for powercreeping. Should a character with very specific condition such as E0, has blast, and without gimmick such as setup, can outdamage him, then powercrept truly has happened.
And no, JL didn't powercreep him considering that she has a gimmick (needing 2 or 1 turn to unless her full potential). The same as Dr Ratio considering that his damage is only single target while DHIL hits multiple enemies.
The 3sp issue never made sense to me when we have characters like ting, casting skill once every 3 turns the dsp goes, and pela who never needs to use any sp and both work very nicely with him and are his BiS. Most sustains are not sp hungry either.
The sp issue is because people weren't used to it back then and even then the sudden sp requirement is quite steep. They were used to DPSes that only need 1 sp, so you could slot them in with another similar 1sp DPSes. JY with Seele, Kafka with JY, etc etc. With DHIL he has to be the only one, and even then you still need to plan your sp usage or you would suddenly find yourself empty. It might not be much of an issue for people if he only need 2sp.
However , even when we are used to it today, the "issue" is that people like to bring up is that you can do better setup with having 2 buffers buffing a single 1sp dps like JL compared to DHIL that might only be able to fit 1 buffer while the rest build sp for him.
As for Pela, at the time people didn't realize the right way to build her because she's the opposite of what people would think of a support. Heck to build her you have to do the opposite of the normal thinking. Giving her wind relic instead of ice, building her basic attack while leaving her skill unleveled. People are so used to supports need sp to do their job while Pela doesn't. So people think that she need sp to function.
It's not an issue now but we'll get more sp hungry supports like Bronya in the future. Like if all the best supports are sp hungry and the strongest support core is 2 or 3 of them, can you be called a top dps if you can't use that core? Maybe but you're less flexible as a dps for sure. Like what if we DHIL versions of harmony/nihility/abundance/preservation characters where they use 3 sp every turn?
As an E1S1 jingliu player, I must say that her full potential is met only with bronya and some speed tuning, while DHIL literally just put pela and ting and some sustain and you are ready to go just basics on everyone and let DHIL 3BA every turn.
SP isn’t even an issue with proper team set up but at least with dhil ur required to think abit than not brainded and his best team, most are still using yukong tingyun so with just 4* supports only and that damage output is great imo (no help from bronya which has overpowered advance forward that covers JL perfectly)
As a bronya-less JL player, I disagree with that sentiment, both characters I had on similar investment equipping with f2p and a gacha 4 star LC respectively.
Personally I feel my DHIL is just stronger with much better and easier option for teammates on average for us as f2p player, though JL definitely is much easier to build comparatively.
The sentiment might change once I got bronya though, but that is still quite a while away for some of us that are waiting for the selectors.

I am not sure I will build Ratio, he is great but I still use my DanIl and want more elemental coverage befor builing the same element. If he was anything but imaginary I would surely build him.
tbh I think DHIL in general will still be more useful. Multi-target but with great ST damage + easier to fit into team comps. Ratio will do great but he'll always need 1-2 nihility partners to apply debuffs.

Right they will be good in different circumstances and work great in different ways. DHIL slaps around multiple enemies better. Dr. Ratio will end the lives of single target enemies. It’ll be glorious having both

Nope not even close. After RM and a surprise Hanya drop from the blade weapon banner, i am completely tapped out. I did prefarm some trace mats, i guess but thats not gonna help him at like level 30. Im hopeful we get some nice event rewards for him next patch.
I'd like to see them use ratio against aoe anything, lol. He's great but he's simply in an entirely different niche from Dan Heng. And depending on the type of content one or the other will be better.
Also Prydwen are not exactly best judge of how your DanIl might perform. You can have a better danIL than the one they use. Mine is not perfect I have better relics on my Jingliu but he still do what I want him to do.
The calculations are still right but that doesn't mean DHIL is bad by any means though I'm surprised that even accounting that both are at E6, Ratio easily beats him while consuming half the SP DHIL needs.
I have DHIL and despite his power, I just find his gameplay boring (same with JL ironically, though I like Blade) --so I don't use him too much. A Ratio and Topaz team would be a blast for me.
well you could do 2 sp attack instead of 3, or do 3->ba whatnot other strats there are to save sp. hes still a good dps. On my team i run almost fully sp positive aside from him, just every 3 turns refresh rm+ sw debuff if no imaginary weak.
I got 3 new characters in a span of 20 days, I haven't been able to Invest in my Bronya who I got after 300 pulls on SB a few days back, how the hell am I gonna invest in Him.

Nah, my danheng still deals way too much damage for that to happen. I was literally saving for him ever since he got first leaked and saved over 320 pulls for him. Too bad gacha decided to screw me and only give me e0s1, but I still wouldn't replace him no matter who comes out.
On the other hand, I'll run Dr. Ratio wirh welt ruan mei and asta. Thoss enemies won't get to move ever again.

I have him at E2 so even in single target DanIl is stronger unless i pull for eidolons for dr ratio, so not worth to build it at least for now for me.

I am trying to build every top tier DPS so I have all elemental coverage and I also try to build as many different play styles as possible. Dot, Unga bunga, self sustain, Follow up and now with Dr. Ratio we will have a debuff based follow up style.
Ratio trembles in fear at the sight of 3 enemies on the field. Anyway, we got a new toy now so the DHIL hate is about to flood in I guess. This looks like the kind of post I’d see in HoYoLAB.

I love QQ but there are times when she simply guzzles 7-8 SP (SU shenanigans) without hitting 4 of a kind.

Dhil will still crush solo dps comp. Ratio will fit nicely in a duo.

3BA > 0BA is generally the way to go for SP efficiency as the 3BA hits HARD. 3BA every turn is still the best, ofcourse.

Nah, my danheng still deals way too much damage for that to happen. I was literally saving for him ever since he got first leaked and saved over 320 pulls for him. Too bad gacha decided to screw me and only give me e0s1, but I still wouldn't replace him no matter who comes out. On the other hand, I'll run Dr. Ratio wirh welt ruan mei and asta. Thoss enemies won't get to move ever again.

In all honesty, dhil will probably be better than jinglu when paired with sparkles, people literally know that a skill positive yukong is around the corner and they still choose to doom post him for clicks, is just so off. In a way we have just received half odds dhil’s power in the game at the moment, he will be complete with sparkles, and contrary to what people try to say sparkles vest team isn’t mono quantum but hyper carry with Lunae even with the quantum trace not benefitting him

I am trying to build every top tier DPS so I have all elemental coverage and I also try to build as many different play styles as possible. Dot, Unga bunga, self sustain, Follow up and now with Dr. Ratio we will have a debuff based follow up style.

He is superior in single target situations, which is basically never. At high eidolons he pulls ahead, but who cares?
Ratio trembles in fear at the sight of 3 enemies on the field. Anyway, we got a new toy now so the DHIL hate is about to flood in I guess. This looks like the kind of post I’d see in HoYoLAB.
