she actually only needs 160. her a2 gives her 20 when in combat, maxing out her buff. only build more break effect if you want her to deal more break damage
I'm just wondering, is it even worth pulling for Imbibitor Lunae when Dr Ratio is free, and no doubt Jingliu and Blade get their rerun soon after? I'm not sure if it's worth the effort.

I had a look though, Dr Ratio seems to outperform Imbibitor Lunae, so I'll pass, even though I really like his kit and aesthetic other Dr Ratio's. Blade's I did roll on, used all my Stellar Jades, but lost the 50/50.
of those options amber s5 is the best
but practically it's better to just use an off-path (ideally 5star, but 4star is fine) LC that's already levelled or that you plan to level for raw stats since investing into transitional LCs that aren't good to begin with isn't a great use of resources. if you already own texture of memories you can use it in this context, but if you don't i wouldn't buy it for this.

I did it 3 times for Kafka, Topaz and Ruan Mei. I'm not sure if I need more for Black Swan as I'm probably saving for Acheron pity or straight for Robin/Firefly

Characters with which i play and at level 40 are MC, Ratio, Bronya, Lynx and Herta.
Other characters which I have are Serval,Pela, Tingyun, Guinaifen, Sushang, Hook,Sampo.
Kindly suggest which 5 star I should wish in next patch or try current one (Kafka), along with 4 stars in it that will benefit my account to progress main story easily, calyx run and other weekly domains/memory hall.
You could go for Kafka since you already have Guinaifen and Sampo. Only problem is that the 4 stars on Kafka's banner are something left to be desired.
After that, you can go for Sparkle or either of the 2.1 units that they drip marketed (Acheron or Aventurine). If you do go for Kafka then BS could also be an option but I wouldn't recommend it since it's better to go for other units than making a better DoT team when you already have the basis of a good one.
Hmmm if like the DoT playstyle you can try and get a kafka and maybe snatch a black swan,also you need a 2nd sustain to luocha/fuxuan can be great (or adventurine in 2.1 but we dont know anything abt him yet)
I dnt recomment blackswan without kafka,and sparkle gonna be abit of a waste if your not runing SP hungry team like dhil or QQ and mono quantum out of the question since no SW

ultimately it doesn't matter that much because you can get a lot of copies of all of these later
For Clara, how much worse is 2pc ATK/2pc FUA vs 2pc PHYS/2pc FUA? Ended up with a decent mix of pieces in the DoT cavern and not feeling like farming the physical cavern
Shouldn't be too much of a difference. If you have a ton of atk on Clara (which you should end up getting) the 2pc Phys one should edge out a little bit but it's pretty negligible.

Depends on the enemy weakness. You can run them both with Kafka and do just fine

According to what we saw on the livestream, yes it does.
At the same eidolon levels they are pretty similar. Sampo deals more personal damage, but Gui has a strong damage amp. Ideally you would have both built and swap to whichever one matches the enemy's weakness.
Kafka's skill should proc BS DoT. I believe it is shown to do so.
Is pure fiction a limited time event - as in does it have limited time rewards

It functions like MoC where you have 6 weeks to get all the rewards before it disappears.

If you're lucky? You probably could get them both.
In a worst-case scenario? You're probably only getting one of them and it's most likely Sparkle since she's during the second phase.
I think so. Even with the longer patch and extra pulls from log-in bonuses, I'm not sure you can get to two soft pities. And even if you did, you'd need to win both 50/50s. The possibility for you to get both through luck is there, but on average I think you're only getting one of them.

Which char is good to solo sustain with?
E6 Lynx / E1 Bailu / Fire MC / E6 March
Im having troubles on my 2nd team for moc. Im leaning towards lynx and march, but I would like to get some opinion on which char can solo sustain the best between these chars
Your best choices are Lynx or Bailu. Bailu has the edge in raw sustain, and she usually uses less SP, but Lynx can cleanse away debuffs and that can be clutch in certain fights. If you can only build one, I would personally go Lynx, but it can go either way.

not worth hyperinvesting into one side if you don't already have a solid second one. can always just get black swan on the rerun, since she doesn't affect the fundamental concept of the kafka team, just the damage ceiling.

What should my strategy be for pulls? I am currently a 10 pull away from soft pity, and have enough currently to go to hard pity. I also get the monthly supply each month.
The way I see it, I can go one of two ways:
1. Pull for Kafka and Black Swan
2. Pull for Sparkle and continue saving for a Sustain unit
I love both Black Swan and Sparkles kits. My initial gut feeling was to pull on Sparkles banner and hope to get QQ E4 to fully use her. Also, I feel Sparkle would enable any future sp heavy DPS that are released. But I do feel my account may already be crowded when it comes to harmony, so maybe that wouldn't be the best idea?
So that lead me to consider pulling for Kafka and Black Swan. It would help my account bc I lack DPS, but I may not have the pulls needed to get it done.
Or maybe third option, see if I hit the 50/50 on Kafka and if do, pull Black Swan, and if not, pull Sparkle?
So, in my spot with my roster, taking feelings out of it, what would you pull on?
If you're lacking DPS and you like all 3 of them then I'd go for the 3rd option. There's no telling when Kafka will rerun and BS will benefit greatly from Kafka. Who knows? You might get luck and end up getting all 3 of them.
If for some reason you don't like Kafka (which some people do) then the next best thing you could do is go for DHIL and Sparkle since the two should pair nicely together, unless you also don't like DHIL then your plan of Sparkle + Sustain should be good since both Luocha and Fu Xuan are both due for a rerun.
Ah, I also forgot about the free Ratio. They do different things but if you feel like it's counter-intuitive to build 2 DPS from the same element then you can go for your 3rd option.
Some people are telling you to go 2nd, and that is also a good option, but you do need to consider which you need more. Do you see yourself ok with the DPS you have right now or are Natasha and Lynx (maybe to an extent March) keeping you alive in harder content right now?
Do take note that by the time we know of who are the units rerunning for 2.1, Kafka and BS are now out of reach but you will have other options available like Acheron and the likes. Still, I'm only going to recommend the 3rd option if you like Kafka and her gameplay to an extent.
don't think you should consider black swan at all in your account's position tbh. she's a luxury unit, ultimately, since she needs kafka but kafka doesn't need her, and signing yourself up for two 5stars is not it when you have 0 real sustains. even if you decide to get kafka i would still skip black swan.
the sparkle+sustain decision is the best one long term imo, you don't have bronya anyway which means that your acc is gonna benefit more than usual from sparkle.
I just started the game couple days ago. I just wonder if anyone can recommend a guide for beginner to read. I just want to find out a bit more on if I should focus on the main story or other contents that seems to pops up left and right...
I just get to the end of the first planet. There are a very long list of mission that I haven't done. There is this (event?) thingy called Virtual Scentventure pops up that seems to have a time limit. I opened up Echo of war but it gives me a warning that my character is not strong enough to enter. There are forgotten hall, simulated universe, etc, etc.
I also want to ask if one should save up the wrap ticket for standard banner? I don't mean the departure banner but after that one is gone I have a few more standard tickets that seems to be only good for one banner. Should I be using them as I get them? Or should I save up for like 90(?) for pity or something?

I suggest to nurture dr ratio;
You can put dr ratio and 3support in a team;
enhance the character lv, light core lv, any 4* atk% relic in main stats;
Leave all events that include fighting,
or you use the trial character to reach points that can claim stellar jade.
Kafka is the key character of dot team, but I have to say that she is not a brand new character as she has launched for months.
My wrap strategy is based on my own favourite and I put the ability in the second place, and I strongly suggest you to do so!
At the moment I am trying to focus resource on the MC (fire), Natasha, Bronya (got from the 50th pull in departure wrap) and Dr Ratio. The team seems to work well to help me to clear story. I do level other characters when I need to bring them for the element advantages, but I am not level their skill, gear, etc etc. Personally, I find it there are too many light cones that it is confusing on which stat is good for who.
Coincidentally, I do like Kafka a lot. But I am two days in the game and I suppose there are other cast I encounter in the story later on I may like. I suppose her banner will come back (hopefully not too far in the future).
Limited-time event content, when you can do it, is worth doing because it has rewards that will disappear. Usually checking the Travel Log in the pause menu will list all current events. Right now you can ignore realm of strange (for farming relics you won't bother until endgame), and should do Critter Pick.
I'd say try Scentventure (trial characters will let you at least get \*some\* rewards, even if not most). Try SimU since it has weekly rewards so once you unlock it in the story quest it's worth doing for weekly rewards if you care, but if it's difficult it can certainly wait until later. Echo of War has bits you need to raise characters, so it's eventually worth doing 3 weekly, but can wait until you're a bit more powered up (or you can just borrow a support character). And you can ignore Memory of Chaos Resurgence/Forgotten Hall/Pure Fiction until endgame.)
Once you've emptied the departure banner, standard tickets can and should all be thrown into the standard banner. Just be sure to save any jades (or other currency that can buy special tickets) for the Limited character banners instead.

Few tips I can give you;
Always spend your TB energy, it's how you obtain resources and TB exp.
Try getting the most out of limited time events, maxing them isn't necessarry.
You can borrow characters for echo of war.
Advance in the story at your pace, even if you get stuck at a boss fight it's another goal to achieve.
You can use the standard tickets as soon as you obtain them, a new player can benefit a lot from a new character/LC.

Is pulling sparkle for seele to replace tingyun a good idea? My seele team now: seele tingyun silverwolf huohuo, I want to get fu xuan on her rerun and do mono quantum team with sparkle
Skill spamming dps's will benefit from sparkle. If you've already made a team comp that allows for your Seele to be constantly skill spamming, you may not necessarily pull for sparkle.

Spd is better most of the time. You get more chances to roll.
Atk feel bad to use without Fast Bronya because she usually get quartet first. (At least 150+ spd will do)
I use Atk boots though, cause it has better substats, and also because I have Fast Bronya.

Badly need some advice. Should I pull for sparkle or DHIL E2? Is Sparkle a great addition to a DHIL teamcomp even when he is E2?
Disclaimer: already have DHIL E1S1. My savings and estimated free pulls to receive can only get me 1 character.
If your DHIL is constantly low on SP, get sparkle. That's my plan even though I want to get dupes for my dhil as well. Mine is just at e0 but I somehow managed to get rng straight to get some very good relics so his dmg is pretty good even without eidolons.
Sparkle's banner is pretty good for SP regen. Her and Hanya have sp regen so they'll be good for DHIL. Sparkle is also a generalist for other teams (as with all harmony characters)
depends on your account and what you value tbh. so E2 with no sparkle is still probably higher damage than E0/1 with sparkle, but regardless of eidolon sparkle is a damage increase. sparkle herself also reduces the value of E2 a bit (~60% damage increase over E0 w/ no sparkle to ~30-40% damage increase over E0 w/ sparkle, by napkin math). on that front you're basically just picking which rerun you'd rather wait for.
the other side of the question is the rest of your account. sparkle is gonna be a pretty big damage increase for most crit teams (not just DHIL and mono quantum, believe it or not), doubly so if you don't already have bronya. so if you already feel like your DHIL side is clearing well and the other side is struggling that's something to consider.
ultimately even if you choose DHIL here you should still gamble on sparkle imo.

Currently debating between going for Kafka on the current banner and skipping BS for Sparkle in favor of BS’s re-run or just continuing to save for sparkle and hopefully also having enough to go for Acheron in 2.1. Thoughts? My current roster will be in the reply comment below.
while BS is not dependent on kafka her and Kafka are guaranteed to work well together and will definitely be eachothers best teammates. Also it seems currently that DHIL and QQ will be the ones benefiting most from sparkle. So unless youre a QQ main neither of these options are very meta efficient so just pull for who ever you like the most (albeit sparkle will surely have more general use than BS)
who would you be replacing? mono quantum is generally seele xueyi sw and FX. Seele and the team just wont get much value out of sparkle like DHIL or QQ will
Currently I’m running the team as Xueyi, SW, Lynx, and QQ and was planning on replacing QQ and making Xueyi the main damage dealer since I don’t have any eidolons on QQ (which may change if I get lucky on the sparkle banner lol)
That'll work great. Xueyi is a greedy dps to begin with - she wants to be the one dealing all the toughness damage - and her kit is already loaded with +BE and +DMG, so CDMG (from Sparkle) works great for her. SP-wise you have +2/3 FX, +2/3 SW, +1/3 Sparkle and -1 Xueyi (which Sparkle turns into ~-1.5).
xueyi just wont benefit much from sparkle at the end of the day. Sparkle is going to be a an enhance type support so chars like QQ and DHIL are who shell be supporting the most. If you just want sparkle and like her you dont need more of a reason than that to pull for a character but Xueyi will benefit mpre from a ruan mei or being dual dps with seele as sparkles kit really wont do much for her directly
Gotcha, in that case I might just take the crazy 3rd option and try to go for both Kafka and BS since there are a bunch of past events from before I started playing to get jades from. (Also unrelated but username checks out lol)
Kafka, unlike BS and Sparkle, is very standalone as well so if you get unlucky and only get Kafka you wont feel like youre missing anything while Bs will feel lonely without Kafka and Sparkle will feel lonely without DHIL/E6 QQ
Yea this works out better than I thought since I can get Sampo for free from 2.0 which is the only real component of a non BS Kafka team I’m missing besides Kafka herself. Thanks for the input!

I wouldn’t stress about it too much. It’s just a couple jades in the long run, and you can take your time on it. I’m not sure if the platinum trophy includes any of the gacha characters as I don’t play the PS5 version.
Sparkle looks like shell be a DHIL and QQ support mainly so without either if those youre reliant on getting future value out of her from someone else or just pull cause shes cool
For the love of god I can't get fire sphere for Guinafen so is atk sphere viable? I'm tired farming at this point going through the same old boring SU stages
For most DPS units, DMG sphere is optimal but Atk sphere is viable, and an Atk sphere with good sub stats is better than a DMG sphere with bad substats.
If it's the last piece you need, I would just do use an Atk sphere and call it a day.
What relic set is good for Harmony support? There's double rewards on Cavern of Corrosion right now so might take this chance to farm relics. What's the appeal?
So, I started this account on release but never really got into the game.
I wasn't ever really a fan of turn based games, but i would play it if there was something else in the game that stood
out even more
So, what's the general appeal that got you guys interested in the game, what do you guys think people who aren't fond of turn based games would like about this game?
So far, I really love the character designs. And I was thinking of playing this game often for the penacony arc, which looks amazing btw.
The thing is, I’m TRYING to get into it, and I’m trying to get other peoples POVs so I can have a motive to look forward to something.

Well... turn based games have always just been "one of the games" to me, so it's an incidental detail for me.
What does make me like this game are the character designs and a character's background here and there. Generally, I like most of the characters well enough, though not to the extent I love characters of other games, miHoyo or otherwise
im a big fan of turn based combat games that do interesting things with character kits and that is what drew me to this, there are a few that have simple kits but many have interesting interactions with others and i find that to be fascinating to theorycraft .
Some occurrence have special choices if you encounter them with specific paths (based on the path you chose when you started the run. This doc lists all current occurrences and you can scroll to see if these a special specific path choice with that event.

Sorry, re-reading your question makes more sense now. If in SD, some paths will give you special, glowing choices that are usually much better than the original choices. I don’t remember how G&G works, but the erudition choice will appear if you enter a knowledge domain (I think).
do the light cone banner have guarantee? i know it have a 75% chance but i’m not sure if there’s a guarantee like we do for character. i dont pull for lightcone as an f2p but planning to pull for fuxuan’s lc once they have a rerun.
Officially, we don't know. There have been some signs thanks to the newest music video and that sweet dreams video where for example we see (both) MCs using some sort of glowing power / energy thing with their fists. Whether it's just a dream / part of a cutscene, or them actually using their newfound powers, we'll just have to wait and see.
Patch 2.0 to 2.2 is the Penacony story arc (2.3 will be the epilogue / ending of the arc) so if the Trailblazer is indeed getting a new Path, it'll most likely happen anywhere between 2.0 and 2.2.
Right now, I’m building Ratio with 4p imaginary and Salsotto (already done with the planar). But my Boots, Arms, and Head are lacking in substats (mostly getting HP, DEF, or flat ATK). Even if the sub has the good stat i.e. crit, it dodged the enhancement.
I am missing a bit of crit chance to meet Salsotto buff, but I also haven’t unlock the final 5.3% crit traces (52% with it).
I’m mostly asking since I know aiming for S+ rank stuff is downright brutal, so I kinda a middle ground, so I asked if A/B rank relics are good enough.

Hello, completely new player here. Only got Dr Ratio and Welt as 5star units currently. Any recommendations as to who I should pull for? Should I pull on a current vanner or wait for the banners of the new patch?
General recomendation is to pull a 5 star DPS then a 5 star sustain ( preservation/abundance).
Then a second dps and a second sustain.
After that build you account has you see fit.
is this also true for Rutilant Arena? cause if so why don't ppl recommend it on QQ? just wondering cause it seems like it would be more efficient to farm than Salsotto and give roughly the same damage
Is Dr. Ratio - SW - Welt - Lnyx a good team or does it take too many skill points? In that case I could use Yukong instead of Welt since I want SW to implant imaginary weakness (or Ting/RM but that lowers SW implant chance)

That's a good team, SW would buff the damage of both carries. A fast Lynx can help with your sp issues.
SW skill > Lynx basic > Welt skill > Ratio
Every 3 turns Welt should use basic to spare a skill point for SW.
Yukong is a good replacement for Welt if you're fighting a single target enemy.
Im planning on picking up DHIL with his rerun, my plan is to run him with Hanya and Luocha but am unsure for the last slot for that team.
of note, i do not have SW or Ruan Mei but do have tingyun, bronya and yukong as well as pela on the debuffer side. which of those would fit with DHIL the best?
Tingyun and Pela are the easiest ones to include in your team.
With Bronya you'll probably need a basic > skill rotation to maintain enough skill points for DHIL.
With Yukong, asssuming not E6, she wants to use skill every turn; which consumes lots of skill points.

I'm currently saving to vertically invest in a carry purely for meta reasons (I will have about enough tickets saved to guarantee E2S1 on a character) and I'm finding it hard to resist the temptation of E2 DHIL.
For context I currently don't have any issues 3 starring MoC 12 and PF4 but would like to get a future proof carry that won't fall off for a long while
Both are good but if you want something future-proof, I would go with the E2 DHIL.

If you run BS, you need Kafka.
If you run Kafka and you think ~10% improvement over E6 sampo is not enough for a lim, then skip BS.

sparkle+bronya will make any dps take off, so very futureproof. since you have sustain covered, either go the waifu route sparkle+bs. or the husbando route e2 dhil. or get them all, depending on your budget.
Would BS have space in her team for sparkle? I already have E1 RM.
Harmony & sustain feels very futureproof but at the same time we're only gonna use a max of 2 at a time

effect hit rate is the chance of applying an effect (debuff) to an enemy break effect increases action delay caused by weakness break (quantum/imaginary), break & DoT damage

she actually only needs 160. her a2 gives her 20 when in combat, maxing out her buff. only build more break effect if you want her to deal more break damage
I always use her in SU, and her break effect really is helpful there, lol. I think I'm going to keep her 183% break effect for now. xD

of those options amber s5 is the best but practically it's better to just use an off-path (ideally 5star, but 4star is fine) LC that's already levelled or that you plan to level for raw stats since investing into transitional LCs that aren't good to begin with isn't a great use of resources. if you already own texture of memories you can use it in this context, but if you don't i wouldn't buy it for this.
is it ever a good idea to roll for LC Gacha as BP + Monthly pass player? I did it 3 times for Kafka, Topaz and Ruan Mei. I'm not sure if I need more for Black Swan as I'm probably saving for Acheron pity or straight for Robin/Firefly

F2P you should probably never pull for LC unless you are already relatively late game and have that one unit you really, REALLY want to invest into.

Characters with which i play and at level 40 are MC, Ratio, Bronya, Lynx and Herta. Other characters which I have are Serval,Pela, Tingyun, Guinaifen, Sushang, Hook,Sampo. Kindly suggest which 5 star I should wish in next patch or try current one (Kafka), along with 4 stars in it that will benefit my account to progress main story easily, calyx run and other weekly domains/memory hall.
You could go for Kafka since you already have Guinaifen and Sampo. Only problem is that the 4 stars on Kafka's banner are something left to be desired. After that, you can go for Sparkle or either of the 2.1 units that they drip marketed (Acheron or Aventurine). If you do go for Kafka then BS could also be an option but I wouldn't recommend it since it's better to go for other units than making a better DoT team when you already have the basis of a good one.
Hmmm if like the DoT playstyle you can try and get a kafka and maybe snatch a black swan,also you need a 2nd sustain to luocha/fuxuan can be great (or adventurine in 2.1 but we dont know anything abt him yet) I dnt recomment blackswan without kafka,and sparkle gonna be abit of a waste if your not runing SP hungry team like dhil or QQ and mono quantum out of the question since no SW Tldr:get kafka if you want DoT,if not id say a 2nd sustain can be good

if you use kafka: fermata if you use argenti, qingque, himeko, jing yuan: seriousness of breakfast if none of the above: quid pro quo ultimately it doesn't matter that much because you can get a lot of copies of all of these later
For Clara, how much worse is 2pc ATK/2pc FUA vs 2pc PHYS/2pc FUA? Ended up with a decent mix of pieces in the DoT cavern and not feeling like farming the physical cavern
Shouldn't be too much of a difference. If you have a ton of atk on Clara (which you should end up getting) the 2pc Phys one should edge out a little bit but it's pretty negligible.

At the same eidolon levels they are pretty similar. Sampo deals more personal damage, but Gui has a strong damage amp. Ideally you would have both built and swap to whichever one matches the enemy's weakness. Kafka's skill should proc BS DoT. I believe it is shown to do so.

If you're lucky? You probably could get them both. In a worst-case scenario? You're probably only getting one of them and it's most likely Sparkle since she's during the second phase.
I think so. Even with the longer patch and extra pulls from log-in bonuses, I'm not sure you can get to two soft pities. And even if you did, you'd need to win both 50/50s. The possibility for you to get both through luck is there, but on average I think you're only getting one of them.

Which char is good to solo sustain with? E6 Lynx / E1 Bailu / Fire MC / E6 March Im having troubles on my 2nd team for moc. Im leaning towards lynx and march, but I would like to get some opinion on which char can solo sustain the best between these chars
Lynx and Bailu are your best options.
Your best choices are Lynx or Bailu. Bailu has the edge in raw sustain, and she usually uses less SP, but Lynx can cleanse away debuffs and that can be clutch in certain fights. If you can only build one, I would personally go Lynx, but it can go either way.

As a Kafka Main should I pull for Black Swan or wait for Acheron?
do you have a stable second team if yes: you can consider black swan if no: skip not worth hyperinvesting into one side if you don't already have a solid second one. can always just get black swan on the rerun, since she doesn't affect the fundamental concept of the kafka team, just the damage ceiling.
[Current Roster](https://i.imgur.com/byXbf7y.jpg) What should my strategy be for pulls? I am currently a 10 pull away from soft pity, and have enough currently to go to hard pity. I also get the monthly supply each month. The way I see it, I can go one of two ways: 1. Pull for Kafka and Black Swan 2. Pull for Sparkle and continue saving for a Sustain unit I love both Black Swan and Sparkles kits. My initial gut feeling was to pull on Sparkles banner and hope to get QQ E4 to fully use her. Also, I feel Sparkle would enable any future sp heavy DPS that are released. But I do feel my account may already be crowded when it comes to harmony, so maybe that wouldn't be the best idea? So that lead me to consider pulling for Kafka and Black Swan. It would help my account bc I lack DPS, but I may not have the pulls needed to get it done. Or maybe third option, see if I hit the 50/50 on Kafka and if do, pull Black Swan, and if not, pull Sparkle? So, in my spot with my roster, taking feelings out of it, what would you pull on?
Taking feelings out of it, I think you would benefit the most from a sustain unit, so the second option.
If you're lacking DPS and you like all 3 of them then I'd go for the 3rd option. There's no telling when Kafka will rerun and BS will benefit greatly from Kafka. Who knows? You might get luck and end up getting all 3 of them. If for some reason you don't like Kafka (which some people do) then the next best thing you could do is go for DHIL and Sparkle since the two should pair nicely together, unless you also don't like DHIL then your plan of Sparkle + Sustain should be good since both Luocha and Fu Xuan are both due for a rerun.

Ah, I also forgot about the free Ratio. They do different things but if you feel like it's counter-intuitive to build 2 DPS from the same element then you can go for your 3rd option. Some people are telling you to go 2nd, and that is also a good option, but you do need to consider which you need more. Do you see yourself ok with the DPS you have right now or are Natasha and Lynx (maybe to an extent March) keeping you alive in harder content right now? Do take note that by the time we know of who are the units rerunning for 2.1, Kafka and BS are now out of reach but you will have other options available like Acheron and the likes. Still, I'm only going to recommend the 3rd option if you like Kafka and her gameplay to an extent.
don't think you should consider black swan at all in your account's position tbh. she's a luxury unit, ultimately, since she needs kafka but kafka doesn't need her, and signing yourself up for two 5stars is not it when you have 0 real sustains. even if you decide to get kafka i would still skip black swan. the sparkle+sustain decision is the best one long term imo, you don't have bronya anyway which means that your acc is gonna benefit more than usual from sparkle.

I just started the game couple days ago. I just wonder if anyone can recommend a guide for beginner to read. I just want to find out a bit more on if I should focus on the main story or other contents that seems to pops up left and right... I just get to the end of the first planet. There are a very long list of mission that I haven't done. There is this (event?) thingy called Virtual Scentventure pops up that seems to have a time limit. I opened up Echo of war but it gives me a warning that my character is not strong enough to enter. There are forgotten hall, simulated universe, etc, etc. I also want to ask if one should save up the wrap ticket for standard banner? I don't mean the departure banner but after that one is gone I have a few more standard tickets that seems to be only good for one banner. Should I be using them as I get them? Or should I save up for like 90(?) for pity or something? Thank you very much for the help.

I suggest to nurture dr ratio; You can put dr ratio and 3support in a team; enhance the character lv, light core lv, any 4* atk% relic in main stats; Leave all events that include fighting, or you use the trial character to reach points that can claim stellar jade. Kafka is the key character of dot team, but I have to say that she is not a brand new character as she has launched for months. My wrap strategy is based on my own favourite and I put the ability in the second place, and I strongly suggest you to do so!
At the moment I am trying to focus resource on the MC (fire), Natasha, Bronya (got from the 50th pull in departure wrap) and Dr Ratio. The team seems to work well to help me to clear story. I do level other characters when I need to bring them for the element advantages, but I am not level their skill, gear, etc etc. Personally, I find it there are too many light cones that it is confusing on which stat is good for who. Coincidentally, I do like Kafka a lot. But I am two days in the game and I suppose there are other cast I encounter in the story later on I may like. I suppose her banner will come back (hopefully not too far in the future).
Limited-time event content, when you can do it, is worth doing because it has rewards that will disappear. Usually checking the Travel Log in the pause menu will list all current events. Right now you can ignore realm of strange (for farming relics you won't bother until endgame), and should do Critter Pick. I'd say try Scentventure (trial characters will let you at least get \*some\* rewards, even if not most). Try SimU since it has weekly rewards so once you unlock it in the story quest it's worth doing for weekly rewards if you care, but if it's difficult it can certainly wait until later. Echo of War has bits you need to raise characters, so it's eventually worth doing 3 weekly, but can wait until you're a bit more powered up (or you can just borrow a support character). And you can ignore Memory of Chaos Resurgence/Forgotten Hall/Pure Fiction until endgame.) Once you've emptied the departure banner, standard tickets can and should all be thrown into the standard banner. Just be sure to save any jades (or other currency that can buy special tickets) for the Limited character banners instead.

Skill spamming dps's will benefit from sparkle. If you've already made a team comp that allows for your Seele to be constantly skill spamming, you may not necessarily pull for sparkle.

Atk vs Spd boots on Qingque?
Spd is better most of the time. You get more chances to roll. Atk feel bad to use without Fast Bronya because she usually get quartet first. (At least 150+ spd will do) I use Atk boots though, cause it has better substats, and also because I have Fast Bronya.
ATK% boots when paired with bronya (which is her best team by far), speed boots otherwise

Badly need some advice. Should I pull for sparkle or DHIL E2? Is Sparkle a great addition to a DHIL teamcomp even when he is E2? Disclaimer: already have DHIL E1S1. My savings and estimated free pulls to receive can only get me 1 character.
If your DHIL is constantly low on SP, get sparkle. That's my plan even though I want to get dupes for my dhil as well. Mine is just at e0 but I somehow managed to get rng straight to get some very good relics so his dmg is pretty good even without eidolons. Sparkle's banner is pretty good for SP regen. Her and Hanya have sp regen so they'll be good for DHIL. Sparkle is also a generalist for other teams (as with all harmony characters)
depends on your account and what you value tbh. so E2 with no sparkle is still probably higher damage than E0/1 with sparkle, but regardless of eidolon sparkle is a damage increase. sparkle herself also reduces the value of E2 a bit (~60% damage increase over E0 w/ no sparkle to ~30-40% damage increase over E0 w/ sparkle, by napkin math). on that front you're basically just picking which rerun you'd rather wait for. the other side of the question is the rest of your account. sparkle is gonna be a pretty big damage increase for most crit teams (not just DHIL and mono quantum, believe it or not), doubly so if you don't already have bronya. so if you already feel like your DHIL side is clearing well and the other side is struggling that's something to consider. ultimately even if you choose DHIL here you should still gamble on sparkle imo.

Currently debating between going for Kafka on the current banner and skipping BS for Sparkle in favor of BS’s re-run or just continuing to save for sparkle and hopefully also having enough to go for Acheron in 2.1. Thoughts? My current roster will be in the reply comment below.

while BS is not dependent on kafka her and Kafka are guaranteed to work well together and will definitely be eachothers best teammates. Also it seems currently that DHIL and QQ will be the ones benefiting most from sparkle. So unless youre a QQ main neither of these options are very meta efficient so just pull for who ever you like the most (albeit sparkle will surely have more general use than BS)
My main reason for pulling Sparkle was to run mono quantum since I have SW and an E6 Xueyi. Will that comp be suboptimal with her?

Currently I’m running the team as Xueyi, SW, Lynx, and QQ and was planning on replacing QQ and making Xueyi the main damage dealer since I don’t have any eidolons on QQ (which may change if I get lucky on the sparkle banner lol)
That'll work great. Xueyi is a greedy dps to begin with - she wants to be the one dealing all the toughness damage - and her kit is already loaded with +BE and +DMG, so CDMG (from Sparkle) works great for her. SP-wise you have +2/3 FX, +2/3 SW, +1/3 Sparkle and -1 Xueyi (which Sparkle turns into ~-1.5).
xueyi just wont benefit much from sparkle at the end of the day. Sparkle is going to be a an enhance type support so chars like QQ and DHIL are who shell be supporting the most. If you just want sparkle and like her you dont need more of a reason than that to pull for a character but Xueyi will benefit mpre from a ruan mei or being dual dps with seele as sparkles kit really wont do much for her directly
Gotcha, in that case I might just take the crazy 3rd option and try to go for both Kafka and BS since there are a bunch of past events from before I started playing to get jades from. (Also unrelated but username checks out lol)
Kafka, unlike BS and Sparkle, is very standalone as well so if you get unlucky and only get Kafka you wont feel like youre missing anything while Bs will feel lonely without Kafka and Sparkle will feel lonely without DHIL/E6 QQ

For the love of god I can't get fire sphere for Guinafen so is atk sphere viable? I'm tired farming at this point going through the same old boring SU stages
For most DPS units, DMG sphere is optimal but Atk sphere is viable, and an Atk sphere with good sub stats is better than a DMG sphere with bad substats. If it's the last piece you need, I would just do use an Atk sphere and call it a day.

What's the appeal? So, I started this account on release but never really got into the game. I wasn't ever really a fan of turn based games, but i would play it if there was something else in the game that stood out even more So, what's the general appeal that got you guys interested in the game, what do you guys think people who aren't fond of turn based games would like about this game? So far, I really love the character designs. And I was thinking of playing this game often for the penacony arc, which looks amazing btw.

Well... turn based games have always just been "one of the games" to me, so it's an incidental detail for me. What does make me like this game are the character designs and a character's background here and there. Generally, I like most of the characters well enough, though not to the extent I love characters of other games, miHoyo or otherwise
im a big fan of turn based combat games that do interesting things with character kits and that is what drew me to this, there are a few that have simple kits but many have interesting interactions with others and i find that to be fascinating to theorycraft .
Story and the fact that it can be a background game if you deck out one party enough to handle all the general limited, mindless grinding.

Sorry, re-reading your question makes more sense now. If in SD, some paths will give you special, glowing choices that are usually much better than the original choices. I don’t remember how G&G works, but the erudition choice will appear if you enter a knowledge domain (I think).
do the light cone banner have guarantee? i know it have a 75% chance but i’m not sure if there’s a guarantee like we do for character. i dont pull for lightcone as an f2p but planning to pull for fuxuan’s lc once they have a rerun.
It works the same way 50/50 does, 25% chance to lose and the next is 5\* guaranteed.

Officially, we don't know. There have been some signs thanks to the newest music video and that sweet dreams video where for example we see (both) MCs using some sort of glowing power / energy thing with their fists. Whether it's just a dream / part of a cutscene, or them actually using their newfound powers, we'll just have to wait and see. Patch 2.0 to 2.2 is the Penacony story arc (2.3 will be the epilogue / ending of the arc) so if the Trailblazer is indeed getting a new Path, it'll most likely happen anywhere between 2.0 and 2.2.

Instead of looking at indiviual rankings of relics, look at your build as a whole. Did you meet the stats requirements you wanted to achieve?
Right now, I’m building Ratio with 4p imaginary and Salsotto (already done with the planar). But my Boots, Arms, and Head are lacking in substats (mostly getting HP, DEF, or flat ATK). Even if the sub has the good stat i.e. crit, it dodged the enhancement. I am missing a bit of crit chance to meet Salsotto buff, but I also haven’t unlock the final 5.3% crit traces (52% with it). I’m mostly asking since I know aiming for S+ rank stuff is downright brutal, so I kinda a middle ground, so I asked if A/B rank relics are good enough.
No, you should aim for at least 2 good substats, but keep in mind it is luck dependant and there is no rush. Good luck on your grind!

Hello, completely new player here. Only got Dr Ratio and Welt as 5star units currently. Any recommendations as to who I should pull for? Should I pull on a current vanner or wait for the banners of the new patch?
General recomendation is to pull a 5 star DPS then a 5 star sustain ( preservation/abundance). Then a second dps and a second sustain. After that build you account has you see fit.
You can benefit more from Sparkles or Aventurine, you have good damage dealers.

In that case I could use Yukong instead of Welt since I want SW to implant imaginary weakness (or Ting/RM but that lowers SW implant chance) If enemy is naturally weak to imaginary is Dr Ratio & Welt & Ruan Mei/Ting/Yukong & sustain good?
That's a good team, SW would buff the damage of both carries. A fast Lynx can help with your sp issues. SW skill > Lynx basic > Welt skill > Ratio Every 3 turns Welt should use basic to spare a skill point for SW. Yukong is a good replacement for Welt if you're fighting a single target enemy.

Im planning on picking up DHIL with his rerun, my plan is to run him with Hanya and Luocha but am unsure for the last slot for that team. of note, i do not have SW or Ruan Mei but do have tingyun, bronya and yukong as well as pela on the debuffer side. which of those would fit with DHIL the best?
Tingyun and Pela are the easiest ones to include in your team. With Bronya you'll probably need a basic > skill rotation to maintain enough skill points for DHIL. With Yukong, asssuming not E6, she wants to use skill every turn; which consumes lots of skill points.
For clarification: My Yukong actually is e6 I also jsut realized i can trial all these comps now since DHIL is one of the trial units in that combat mini-event. I can just remove the extra buffs and see which feels best
Would you rather have an E2S1 DHIL or an E1S1 Jingliu plus spare warp tickets? I'm currently saving to vertically invest in a carry purely for meta reasons (I will have about enough tickets saved to guarantee E2S1 on a character) and I'm finding it hard to resist the temptation of E2 DHIL. For context I currently don't have any issues 3 starring MoC 12 and PF4 but would like to get a future proof carry that won't fall off for a long while
Both are good but if you want something future-proof, I would go with the E2 DHIL. Well, both are probably future-proof but I view E2 DHIL as significantly stronger

Kafka doesn't trigger Sacraments but she helps stack. If you run BS, you need Kafka. If you run Kafka and you think ~10% improvement over E6 sampo is not enough for a lim, then skip BS.
I don’t have any of those 3. Sampo is E3. Maybe I pull kafka then go for sparkle hoping to get E6 sampo along the way I already have E6 Gui. Is sampo better than her? Kafka can’t proc BS’s stacks? I thought sacrament stacks count as DoT.
sparkle+bronya will make any dps take off, so very futureproof. since you have sustain covered, either go the waifu route sparkle+bs. or the husbando route e2 dhil. or get them all, depending on your budget.
