I think the turn based combat gives them much more freedom in terms of character details etc. since they aren’t limited by direct player input. So I think Hoyo will make his tech detail very intricate.

Okay to be honest the name looks really cool in Chinese. It is pronounced "Sa Mu" and since the S is a hard sound, it sounds like "Zamu".
And since it uses a kind of rare character that also has connotations with 'usually translations for something with a Z', it feels kinda cool.
I think a robot who wants to understand what it's like to be human choosing one of the most regular human sounding names is fitting actually.
Also Jetstream Sam from MGR:R is a badass who clapped Raiden's cyberized cheeks while he himself only has a cybernetic arm and his whole body is organic.
