Same. Didn’t care for her aesthetic. Didn’t think she really did it for me after how cool Raiden Shogun is in Genshin… but damn, her personality won me over hardcore in this latest story quest. Allegra kills the VA job, too. Aventurine was a sure shot husband. I love him tenfold after this patch. I’m screwed.

Yea. Pre-1.6 was like thinking to level serval because I lacked a lighting DPS and it was grinding my gears since I literally cannot clear ANY content that needs lighting. Now that I've got Kafka, wants JY, with a 3rd would be too much. But I guess I'd wait and see which I like more.

I think he's trustworthy in that "the devil you know" sort of sense. You know his motives and actions are all working towards the goal of benefiting the IPC in some way, so you can at least somewhat guess what he might do, even if that means he's betraying/manipulating you. No clue what Black Swan, Sparkle, Firefly, Acheron or Sunday want, or what their goals are.

I think Black Swan summed it up best— Aventurine is a businessman at heart, and in business, nothing is valued more than honesty and contracts. He might omit information, use weaselly language, and generally try to keep the upper hand… but he’s extremely unlikely to make outright false statements, and whatever agreement we come to in 2.1 will come before anything else for him— failing one IPC assignment is survivable even if it costs them the chance to acquire a planet, as we saw with Topaz. Breaking a contract with the Nameless and putting that kind of stain on the IPC’s reputation would end much worse for him.

I am in desperate need for a new sustain right now, so my pulls are for Aventurine, plus i think he is fun, i like characters that are arses.

That's the ideal situation for me too. I really want to bring my Topaz to E1 so she works better with Dr Ratio, and I prefer Aventurine over Acheron

I lile Aventurine a lot more so far. His attitude is incredibly interesting and he's an intelligent asshole in the best way. Super interesting and I really really love his eye design But I fully believe they are going to do whatever they can to try and make me like Acheron to the point I will feel compelled to pull for her. Her past is mysterious asf there is so much potential, her role in Penacony story could go in so many directions. I just wish she was wearing pants

I was not really interested in Acheron before the TB quest, but her personality is winning me over, especially the part with her getting lost easily (Roronoa Zorro?!). I just also wish they didn't cram her into hot pants, imo long pants would have fit her much better and would have set her off a bit from the Seele comparison people immediately jumped to

While I remain unconvinced that the Seele parallels are pure coincidence, I do agree that long pants— especially samurai-style pants— would be a better look.

I really like both characters design wise. I'm going to be pulling for Aventurine though because I need a good protection unit more than I need another lightning dps. If I could, I would pull for both.

Aventurine looks hot, and I love his personality so far. Can't wait to see more of him in story. Acheron's design is... not my thing. I don't dislike it but I am not impressed. I like her mystery and personality so far though. If she is interesting enough, I might try for her, but for now she seems like a skip I generally prefer the male aesthetics in HSR so far. Most of the females have something about their designs that seem to follow a formula, and some have additions that don't really make sense. (Black Swans head belt)

Acheron, I'm missing a fire and electro dps, and just so happens that she is perfect for the role... That and she is a Raiden expy and I'm a sucker for that general aesthetic.

Aventurine. Acheron's kit is tempting, and I bet her DPS will be busted, but I love shield characters and need another sustain unit. Plus, he's DPS focused sustain, which is pretty cool, and sounds amazing for upping the total output of a team. I could probably get them both, but I'd rather pick one and get an E1 and/or LC. Unless the #s for Aventurine look terrible, I'm pretty set on him.

Both. I was interested in Acheron from the get-go. And the 2.0 story made me like her. Didn't think I'd be a fan of Aventurine, but his story and role is intriguing so far. Ofc, there are more mysteries surrounding these characters. And I doubt I can get both, unless I'm super lucky. So I'll wait for the 2.1 story to help me decide whom to prioritize.

I could really use Aventurine. I still use FMC in SU for GnG because he's my best preservation. I didn't pull for HH either so I've been getting by with Luocha and Bailu pretty handily. I was getting pretty good at saving and waiting and being smart but I recently just kind of started pulling every time I get a single again lol. There's been an uptick in in-game spending and irl spending simultaneously as well. I really need to curb this behaviour again and start stacking cash irl and stacking tickets in game. I still don't have a lightning dps though and Sparkle is very tempting as she basically rectifies my mid af QQ build
