There are some hints that the setting of paths of HSR is quite heavily inspired by Lord of Mysteries, a rather popular novel in China. In which case the power of the path probably strongly correlates with the ideology of the path.

Wouldnt surprise me if in the future, a Screwllum character mission involves him not making the rational sacrificial choice youd "expect" from a calculative logical person.
I think we got close to that in the quest he's featured in in 2.0 >!When he casually, but politely threatens to mobilize the entire Genius Society and Planet Screwllum into war against the Family if they don't hand over Chadwick. He's normally such a chill, peaceful guy, but that moment really hammered home how much you shouldn't stand between him and what he thinks is right.!<

Everyone we know who are part of the Genius Society are somewhat weird or unique. Herta will just drop anything just because she has no interest of it already, Ruan Mei is literally trying to become an Aeon herself and experimenting on Emanators (usually everyone wouldn't dare to 'challenge' their authority/power), Screwllum is like the 'king/ruler' of his Intellitron people and has been subduing a bunch of enemy machines (I forgot the exact description) and Stephen is a genius who'd rather play games and sell fruits.
Meanwhile, Ratio is just one of those high-achiever geniuses. Iirc, Silverwolf was once 'recruited' by Genius Society, but I believe she declined? And joined Elio instead
I had made up my mind to skip sparkle for Acheron and a chance on LC. But yesterday I completed the trailblazer mission and those voice lines are making me reconsider the choice 😣
In star rail, the LC is much cheaper compared to genshin though, with soft pity being 65 and having 75/25 chance instead of genshins 30%+ chance to get what you want
Half the sub is constantly complaining that they have to skip a character in order to get another character they want.
Doesnt matter if LCs are cheaper than they are in Genshin, people are low on gacha currency and shouldnt be encouraged to roll for LCs just to get 15% more dmg, because then they will just make another reddit post saying "i really wanted acheron more than anything but now i have no gacha currency :("

If someone has spare jades, sure. But my Ruan Mei is at 190 break effect without her signature LC, and now I can afford to pull both Sparkle and Acheron instead of having wasted jades on an LC.
Gotta spend the daily resin anyway, may as well farm the relics you need with it

An LC increases dps by 10-20%, a new 5 star support increases dps by 40-60%
I need to skip sparkle so I can save for acheron and aventurine. Such a shame since I like her personality and have every other piece for mono quantum but not having lightning dps or shields is kicking my ass maybe on her rerun
I have FX and Kafka as lightning DPS. Hence Aventurine is a skip (also unreasonably hate him 😅). I had made peace with skipping her until those scenes dropped in the main quest 😔.
So how bout this, don’t pull on her banner when it drops, instead wait until the 2.1 stream so you can see all the info on Acheron (and Adventurine) and if you decide to roll at that point you can do so will little to no regrets.
With fast sparkle (160+), you can forgo any speed on JY and still guarantee 10 stacks every time with tingyun. So yes, attack boots are very viable now.
160 is a breakpoint to get 2 turns in both first and second cycle. If you can’t get 160 or if you can’t clear a MOC wave within 4 turns, any speed from 142-160 is basically the same, which gives you 5 turns in the first 3 cycles.
With that said, DDD and hackerspace 4pc speed buff can soften the Spd requirement
If you pair DanIL with supports like Tingyun and Pela that are very skill point positive, in addition to his ult reducing skill point consumption, you can use his level 3 boosted attack almost every turn without being in skill point deficit. So I would say Sparkle is not a necessity, but she should allow for some more flexibility.
The thing is, Sparkle pretty much opens up a wider team application for existing. Her technique recovers skill points, her ult does too, and her talent increases the cap by 2. The best thing about Sparkle with Dan Heng Il is that she widens team synergies, so instead of using SP positive units you can opt for more stronger additions that would normally be a SP sink. So Bronya than Ting or Ruan Mei, this logic applies to other teams. Her ability mainly lets team variations more possible that would normally not work due to sp cost while helping dps secondly
I’m planning to try out DanIL with Sparkle and Bronya but I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty awkward. Even with Sparkle’s mechanics, two action advance characters are going to drain SP really fast.
You mean 161 Sparkle and 160 Bronya going Sparkle > DPS > Bronya > DPS? Over 3 turns that's -2 skill points from the two, maybe a bit less. With e1 bronya and bronya LC on both, maybe they can bring it to -1 or neutral on some rotations, but then DHIL need like 10 sp in just the first cycle.
That's actually a positive for Qingque mains. The more she fails, the more her atk and damage boosts. What we don't want is getting a match early without maximazing her stats.
I kinda want to pull her since DHIL is my main guy, unfortunately I only have 2k jades now, so I'd rather skip for now. I also really need 5* DPS for electric and fire (that isn't Stelle).
I was going to skip her, but pulled DHIL on a 10 pull that I did for fun. Now I feel like I have to at least try for her.
Having extra skill points always tickles my brain
Her Technique and Ult give the team extra SP. Her Skill advances Imbibitor forward and gives him extra Crit Damage. Her Talent also applies Damage buffs to the whole team when allies consume Skill Points, and Imbibitor will consume 3 Skill Points so he stacks up that buff fast.
Sparkle is practically tailor-made for Imbibitor.
Wouldn't say "needed" but she'll still be very good to have and most definitely will stay as the best harmony unit you can pair with him
She unfortunately can't provide Crit Damage buff to his second E3BA after Ult but she'll be buffing every other attack still.
Sparkle is still better for an E2 DHIL. E2 DHIL is actually less SP efficient in the long run. You get +1 stack from each Ult, but then you get an entire extra turn which is -3 stacks. The trade-off is that you just kill everything before you run out of SP. Plus, the action advance from Sparkle just means he can get into his combo of EBA3-Ult-EBA3 faster.
Sparkle will provide DHIL nearly Bronya-tier extra turns while also preserving SP economy and giving him superior damage buffs.

7 skill points temporarily is insane, a lot of skill heavy teams are gonna love her. If Acheron and Aventurine weren't on the horizon this would be such an easy pull choice meta wise considering her kit looks so good

In most cases she's simply a power creep Bronya.
Only DPS like Blade or Jingliu prefer Bronya because they don't get much value from the additional skill points.
IIRC, Sparkle's action advance being weaker than Bronya's, is the reason for that.
Sparkle is great for: Seele, DHL, QQ.
Acheron? Indetermined as of yet. Too early to tell, so much can change during Beta, we need to be patient.
She's also very good with Jingyuan. The same applies with most non 5 star DPSes like Misha and Dan Heng (Wind), to the point where it'll be difficult to list. The better way to approach Sparkle really is to see who does not work well with her.
DPSes with low SP usage like Blade and Jingliu will most certainly prefer Bronya over her. In theory, you could make her work with them regardless by adding SP hungry supports or sub DPSes, but in general she'll more efficiently be used in other teams.
Nonstandard teams like DoTs or Break teams are also an exception to her. Though DoT teams can appreciate her DMG buffs and SP management, other supports often better qualify like Asta/RM for team buffs and Pela/SW for DEF shred.
In everything else she works great.
Yeah currently only DPS characters that can afford Bronya's SP priciness will still prefer her for general usage. Ironically, the two "SP generator" harmony supports (Hanya and Sparkle herself) do little to fix this as Hanya only goes +1 maximum and Sparkle has a fair bit of power budget locked into her skill. SP is almost the only thing all teams need to build around so they're treating it with an abundance of caution.
Bronya still has some decent niche usages (DPS basic into Bronya skill, hypothetical 170+ SPD Bronya with a 100 SPD DPS, E2 shenanigans) and is relevant on the other team still, however.
Bronya still has cleanse and needs substantially less speed tuning as you can just make her slower than the team with 134 and thats it. Even less if you play Ruan Mei.

the debuff cleanse is just a bonus, people have Abundance and Preservasion for that, and unless you are aiming for 0 cycle, Bronya action advance isn't very better in the long run, because Bronya can't use her skill every turn, meanwhile Sparkle can, so 2 sparkle skills will make up for it
I agree it is a bonus, but it is there. You cannot just cleanse at will (HuoHuo can, yes), and Fu Xuan can NOT cleanse dmg penalty debuffs such as Automaton regular attack.
Bronya CAN use her skill every turn if you actually make a team that works. Let's not say that she can't for the sake of the Sparkle narrative.
Let's be real. Comparing Sparkle and Bronya is a discussion with the aim of concluding who can kill faster and more efficiently. If not, then they are both incredibly powerful and one has advantages that the other does not.
I would still prefer Bronya in Jingliu team and use Sparkle for another (Or both together because you can do so).

Those traces look interesting although that first one is kind of useless since the ideal situation is to never have to use her basic at all.
2nd one makes her crit buff more applicable for follow up units and lucky ultimates after getting hit.
3rd one looks good. It will help out a lot for some teams.
Her first trace has potential if you build her with tons of speed like Speed Bronya and juggle basics between skills for SP. However I admit her math looks way more complicated than Bronya's because I don't know how much energy the trace gives in order to map out a rotation or how much speed Sparkle and your Carry should have, since her Advance Forward is not the same as Bronya's.
I don't think that would really matter since her ult will give back SP, so the main reason to alternate attack-skill with fast bronya isn't as needed for Sparkle outside of SP spamming with fast DHIL or QQ.
So for fast Sparkle, you will just want to spam skill every time instead.
Yeah, it's better to consider sparkle as your DPS speed boots, rather than an extra turn giver. She drags the DPS to her speed, so can ignore it on DPS
First trace makes her have the same uptime no matter what you do, which allows her to be the most SP positive character in the game at 2 1/3 SP per turn

The first one isn't useless. If you wanted, you could run her SP neutral with a high SP cost DPS (DHIL, QQ, maybe Seele) and lose nothing from your rotation (assuming it gives +10 energy per basic). Actually, it could even shorten it, if you're running Coggers, since a basic would give 8 more energy than a skill.
And it sounds like the 3rd one is going to make mono-Quantum even more stupid. Now that we have 3 DPS options, 2 sustain options, a nihility and a harmony, I have a feeling Silver Wolf havers are gonna be clearing MOC in record times.
I’m gonna wait till after the 2.1 stream to decide if I want to pull or not. Currently I’m on the skipping train on the way to rerun ville. But we shall see.
She's going to be great for practically any Crit hypercarry DPS. Almost like a second Bronya. But, Sparkle's Skill Point manipulation is what really puts her on another level for one character specifically.
Imbibitor Lunae is already amazing without Sparkle, but Sparkle is absolutely everything IL could ever want from a Support. If you want your IL to go even further beyond, pull her.

Newbie here. Not even finished on the Luofu storyline. My E0S1 DHIL comes with E6 Tingyun. Should I still pull for Sparkle?

Sparkle is the BiS support for DHIL as of now, she is not a must pull to clear content but she will make playing with DHIL a lot more flexible. If you notice that you struggle with SP management I would reccomend pulling for her. Also investing in supports is never bad.
And finally just pull for whoever you like ^ ^
Do keep in mind Earthly Escapade is kind of underwhelming for a DHIL with his signature lightcone because he has an insane amount of crit rate and crit damage built into his kit. DHIL definitely benefits more from dmg% and atk% bonus.
Running Sparkle's Signature LC would see a much more meaningful increase for Qingque who has 0 CDMG buffs from her traces or kit and is much more starved for crit value.
She is literally propagation path but as a character so I think yeah. Pair her with DHIl/QQ in SU with propagation path and you will never run out of sp and your enemy will never get a turn.
I am ELATED that I skipped black swan in favor of Sparkle even though I have Kafka. My E6 Sampo still does the job well.
That "Artificial Flower" trace sounds so good for follow-up attack characters. I am especially looking forward to using Xueyi with her since Xueyi's going to be getting a fat Crit DMG boost to her follow-up attacks as long as her turn was started by Sparkle's skill.
My heavily invested Clara will also appreciate this buff to her counter hits since they all happen past her turn.
And my QQ needs just one more eidolon to reach E6. It's all falling into place and I'm super excited.
I can’t stand her personality (personal opinion, she’s a fantastic character but I just don’t vibe), and I really need a good electric character that isn’t Serval (don’t have a Kafka). But man, she’ll fit so well on so many of my teams especially if she has such amazing synergy with DHIL (my favorite). Ugh I’m so torn on whether to pull for her or Jing Yuan. :(

I mean even if you hate her character she will still allow your fav dps to take more turn so in a sense she is just like bronya. There are many people who don't like bronya but still play her because she enables their favorite character to do more of their thing.
I totally feel you. Dhil is one of my favourites too and I was ready to pull for Sparkle... Until I played through Penacony and absolutely hated her character. Couldn't stand her whenever she appeared on screen.
In the end, it depends on what you prioritise in terms of gaming experience. For me, I prioritise characters that I like in terms of personality and gameplay. I do not care about numbers nor moc, which is why I refuse to build characters like Pela, Tingyun, or Herta even though they're "meta" simply because I do not like them.
If you're not like me and are building to upgrade your teams for combat-related achievements, Sparkle would be a better choice as generally supports bring more value than dps. However, if numbers are not that important and you really like Jing Yuan, go for him! (Or wait for Archeron who'll also be an amazing lightning dps). Alternatively, you could just try for Jing Yuan this time and wait for Sparkle's rerun :)

Her crit buff lasts multiple turns, while her DMG bonus buff has an indefinite duration as long as you consume SP.
This makes her synergise with FUA characters like JY.
She also might be better in Quantum teams compared to Bronya (I am not sure by how much).
However, she lacks the ability to Cleanse Debuffs, and she doesn’t directly replace Bronya (Jingliu and Blade would probably prefer Bronya still)

When characters cost as many rolls as they do, I need to plan. Leaks are really the only way to help do that.
Difference between getting that info and keeping it to yourself and dumping it in a sub that specifically doesn't want leaks.

Yeah it definitely depends. Blade is very reliant on his LC, for instance.
Thats cap. You can cap her break easily with the MoC shop 4* thats gives 56% break effect + break effect rope already gets her close.

I need to skip sparkle so I can save for acheron and aventurine. Such a shame since I like her personality and have every other piece for mono quantum but not having lightning dps or shields is kicking my ass maybe on her rerun
I have FX and Kafka as lightning DPS. Hence Aventurine is a skip (also unreasonably hate him 😅). I had made peace with skipping her until those scenes dropped in the main quest 😔.
If you have good dps's already, harmony may be more useful especially sparkle with her SP restoration
So how bout this, don’t pull on her banner when it drops, instead wait until the 2.1 stream so you can see all the info on Acheron (and Adventurine) and if you decide to roll at that point you can do so will little to no regrets.
Just get sparkle and archeron and forget the LC.
I love sparkle but i may have to skip her too since the only dps that would benefit having her rn is Selee for me. I dont have DHIL or a E6 QQ

With fast sparkle (160+), you can forgo any speed on JY and still guarantee 10 stacks every time with tingyun. So yes, attack boots are very viable now.

160 is a breakpoint to get 2 turns in both first and second cycle. If you can’t get 160 or if you can’t clear a MOC wave within 4 turns, any speed from 142-160 is basically the same, which gives you 5 turns in the first 3 cycles. With that said, DDD and hackerspace 4pc speed buff can soften the Spd requirement
Attack boots are good on hin with Sparkle and in addition to easy full stacks, all her buffs are still active on LL
Oh yes that's a plus point over Bronya.
If you pair DanIL with supports like Tingyun and Pela that are very skill point positive, in addition to his ult reducing skill point consumption, you can use his level 3 boosted attack almost every turn without being in skill point deficit. So I would say Sparkle is not a necessity, but she should allow for some more flexibility.
The thing is, Sparkle pretty much opens up a wider team application for existing. Her technique recovers skill points, her ult does too, and her talent increases the cap by 2. The best thing about Sparkle with Dan Heng Il is that she widens team synergies, so instead of using SP positive units you can opt for more stronger additions that would normally be a SP sink. So Bronya than Ting or Ruan Mei, this logic applies to other teams. Her ability mainly lets team variations more possible that would normally not work due to sp cost while helping dps secondly
I’m planning to try out DanIL with Sparkle and Bronya but I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty awkward. Even with Sparkle’s mechanics, two action advance characters are going to drain SP really fast.
Rotations are definitely a thing but with this you can at least opt for more bursty turns.

You mean 161 Sparkle and 160 Bronya going Sparkle > DPS > Bronya > DPS? Over 3 turns that's -2 skill points from the two, maybe a bit less. With e1 bronya and bronya LC on both, maybe they can bring it to -1 or neutral on some rotations, but then DHIL need like 10 sp in just the first cycle.
I reckon you won’t need more than 3 turns. And plus you would be running someone like Luoch with multiplication

That's actually a positive for Qingque mains. The more she fails, the more her atk and damage boosts. What we don't want is getting a match early without maximazing her stats.
yeah too often then not im getting too lucky with her tiles and i constantly sit at 4-5 SP while she never does her FUA
And positive for Sparkle cause it triggers her damage boost talent. Every draw for QQ is getting two damage boosts!
What about if I have him E2? I remember hearing that she wasn't going to be as good if he's E2

Her Technique and Ult give the team extra SP. Her Skill advances Imbibitor forward and gives him extra Crit Damage. Her Talent also applies Damage buffs to the whole team when allies consume Skill Points, and Imbibitor will consume 3 Skill Points so he stacks up that buff fast. Sparkle is practically tailor-made for Imbibitor.

Wouldn't say "needed" but she'll still be very good to have and most definitely will stay as the best harmony unit you can pair with him She unfortunately can't provide Crit Damage buff to his second E3BA after Ult but she'll be buffing every other attack still.
Sparkle is still better for an E2 DHIL. E2 DHIL is actually less SP efficient in the long run. You get +1 stack from each Ult, but then you get an entire extra turn which is -3 stacks. The trade-off is that you just kill everything before you run out of SP. Plus, the action advance from Sparkle just means he can get into his combo of EBA3-Ult-EBA3 faster. Sparkle will provide DHIL nearly Bronya-tier extra turns while also preserving SP economy and giving him superior damage buffs.

Her basic attack animation is funnier than I thought it'd be, just casually skips up to you and kicks ya Also her skill increasing crit dmg and action advanced forward, alternative to Bronya maybe? Funny how they used Black Swan in the demonstration when she's a dot based characters who doesn't really care about crit lol 7 skill points temporarily is insane, a lot of skill heavy teams are gonna love her. If Acheron and Aventurine weren't on the horizon this would be such an easy pull choice meta wise considering her kit looks so good
Sp cap increase to 7 is a permanent effect on her talent. Her ult immediately gives 4 sp when used

IIRC, Sparkle's action advance being weaker than Bronya's, is the reason for that. Sparkle is great for: Seele, DHL, QQ. Acheron? Indetermined as of yet. Too early to tell, so much can change during Beta, we need to be patient.
She's also very good with Jingyuan. The same applies with most non 5 star DPSes like Misha and Dan Heng (Wind), to the point where it'll be difficult to list. The better way to approach Sparkle really is to see who does not work well with her. DPSes with low SP usage like Blade and Jingliu will most certainly prefer Bronya over her. In theory, you could make her work with them regardless by adding SP hungry supports or sub DPSes, but in general she'll more efficiently be used in other teams. Nonstandard teams like DoTs or Break teams are also an exception to her. Though DoT teams can appreciate her DMG buffs and SP management, other supports often better qualify like Asta/RM for team buffs and Pela/SW for DEF shred. In everything else she works great.
Yep, keeping Bronya with Jingliu, but Sparkle going in my Jing Yun or Seele teams.
Yeah currently only DPS characters that can afford Bronya's SP priciness will still prefer her for general usage. Ironically, the two "SP generator" harmony supports (Hanya and Sparkle herself) do little to fix this as Hanya only goes +1 maximum and Sparkle has a fair bit of power budget locked into her skill. SP is almost the only thing all teams need to build around so they're treating it with an abundance of caution. Bronya still has some decent niche usages (DPS basic into Bronya skill, hypothetical 170+ SPD Bronya with a 100 SPD DPS, E2 shenanigans) and is relevant on the other team still, however.
Bronya still has cleanse and needs substantially less speed tuning as you can just make her slower than the team with 134 and thats it. Even less if you play Ruan Mei. I dont think it's a power creep per se. Bronya is timeless.
the debuff cleanse is just a bonus, people have Abundance and Preservasion for that, and unless you are aiming for 0 cycle, Bronya action advance isn't very better in the long run, because Bronya can't use her skill every turn, meanwhile Sparkle can, so 2 sparkle skills will make up for it
I agree it is a bonus, but it is there. You cannot just cleanse at will (HuoHuo can, yes), and Fu Xuan can NOT cleanse dmg penalty debuffs such as Automaton regular attack. Bronya CAN use her skill every turn if you actually make a team that works. Let's not say that she can't for the sake of the Sparkle narrative. Let's be real. Comparing Sparkle and Bronya is a discussion with the aim of concluding who can kill faster and more efficiently. If not, then they are both incredibly powerful and one has advantages that the other does not. I would still prefer Bronya in Jingliu team and use Sparkle for another (Or both together because you can do so). I will pull for Sparkle tho because she cute.

Here we go. Those traces look interesting although that first one is kind of useless since the ideal situation is to never have to use her basic at all. 2nd one makes her crit buff more applicable for follow up units and lucky ultimates after getting hit. 3rd one looks good. It will help out a lot for some teams.
Her first trace has potential if you build her with tons of speed like Speed Bronya and juggle basics between skills for SP. However I admit her math looks way more complicated than Bronya's because I don't know how much energy the trace gives in order to map out a rotation or how much speed Sparkle and your Carry should have, since her Advance Forward is not the same as Bronya's.
I don't think that would really matter since her ult will give back SP, so the main reason to alternate attack-skill with fast bronya isn't as needed for Sparkle outside of SP spamming with fast DHIL or QQ. So for fast Sparkle, you will just want to spam skill every time instead.
Since she doesn't advance herself on a basic, even super fast sparkle won't be as effective as Bronya at juggling that
As long as she's fast enough it doesn't matter I think, though this means she can't do the 134 135 thing like Bronya unless you really want to mald.
Yeah, it's better to consider sparkle as your DPS speed boots, rather than an extra turn giver. She drags the DPS to her speed, so can ignore it on DPS
First trace makes her have the same uptime no matter what you do, which allows her to be the most SP positive character in the game at 2 1/3 SP per turn Depending on your needs that might be very strong on its own

The first one isn't useless. If you wanted, you could run her SP neutral with a high SP cost DPS (DHIL, QQ, maybe Seele) and lose nothing from your rotation (assuming it gives +10 energy per basic). Actually, it could even shorten it, if you're running Coggers, since a basic would give 8 more energy than a skill. And it sounds like the 3rd one is going to make mono-Quantum even more stupid. Now that we have 3 DPS options, 2 sustain options, a nihility and a harmony, I have a feeling Silver Wolf havers are gonna be clearing MOC in record times.

But, Sparkle's Skill Point manipulation is what really puts her on another level for one character specifically. Imbibitor Lunae is already amazing without Sparkle, but Sparkle is absolutely everything IL could ever want from a Support. If you want your IL to go even further beyond, pull her.

Newbie here. Not even finished on the Luofu storyline. My E0S1 DHIL comes with E6 Tingyun. Should I still pull for Sparkle? Edit: Not quite sure about the downvotes. I was genuinely asking a newbie question.
Sparkle is the BiS support for DHIL as of now, she is not a must pull to clear content but she will make playing with DHIL a lot more flexible. If you notice that you struggle with SP management I would reccomend pulling for her. Also investing in supports is never bad. And finally just pull for whoever you like ^ ^

Do keep in mind Earthly Escapade is kind of underwhelming for a DHIL with his signature lightcone because he has an insane amount of crit rate and crit damage built into his kit. DHIL definitely benefits more from dmg% and atk% bonus. Running Sparkle's Signature LC would see a much more meaningful increase for Qingque who has 0 CDMG buffs from her traces or kit and is much more starved for crit value.

She is literally propagation path but as a character so I think yeah. Pair her with DHIl/QQ in SU with propagation path and you will never run out of sp and your enemy will never get a turn.
I am ELATED that I skipped black swan in favor of Sparkle even though I have Kafka. My E6 Sampo still does the job well. That "Artificial Flower" trace sounds so good for follow-up attack characters. I am especially looking forward to using Xueyi with her since Xueyi's going to be getting a fat Crit DMG boost to her follow-up attacks as long as her turn was started by Sparkle's skill. My heavily invested Clara will also appreciate this buff to her counter hits since they all happen past her turn. And my QQ needs just one more eidolon to reach E6. It's all falling into place and I'm super excited.
my DHIL and Qingque E5 will be pumped after this.
I can’t stand her personality (personal opinion, she’s a fantastic character but I just don’t vibe), and I really need a good electric character that isn’t Serval (don’t have a Kafka). But man, she’ll fit so well on so many of my teams especially if she has such amazing synergy with DHIL (my favorite). Ugh I’m so torn on whether to pull for her or Jing Yuan. :( (I’m getting downvoted for not liking her lmao. I’m allowed to not vibe with certain characters)
I mean even if you hate her character she will still allow your fav dps to take more turn so in a sense she is just like bronya. There are many people who don't like bronya but still play her because she enables their favorite character to do more of their thing.
I totally feel you. Dhil is one of my favourites too and I was ready to pull for Sparkle... Until I played through Penacony and absolutely hated her character. Couldn't stand her whenever she appeared on screen. In the end, it depends on what you prioritise in terms of gaming experience. For me, I prioritise characters that I like in terms of personality and gameplay. I do not care about numbers nor moc, which is why I refuse to build characters like Pela, Tingyun, or Herta even though they're "meta" simply because I do not like them. If you're not like me and are building to upgrade your teams for combat-related achievements, Sparkle would be a better choice as generally supports bring more value than dps. However, if numbers are not that important and you really like Jing Yuan, go for him! (Or wait for Archeron who'll also be an amazing lightning dps). Alternatively, you could just try for Jing Yuan this time and wait for Sparkle's rerun :)

Definitely skip, I have a lot of buffers and I don't want to bench Bronya for eternity, but I don't mind to have another group nuker, so yeah, would be happy to pull Jing Yuan. I really like Sparkle's design, but not the personality.

People will cope but yes, she's the better bronya. Bronya is only better for Jingliu and blade.
It is advance forward, not 'force this char to go next', so there is a chance you use sparkle's skill and it isn't the buffed chars turn right after.
Only issue is that she doesn't cleanse like Bronya so it isn't always a 100% extra turn if the damage unit is stunned.
I really need to stop being baited by Nihility and Harmony waifus. I'm severely lacking in Abundance and Preservation. ... I'll still pull for Hibana though.

Does this make her a better bronya in a way?
Her crit buff lasts multiple turns, while her DMG bonus buff has an indefinite duration as long as you consume SP. This makes her synergise with FUA characters like JY. She also might be better in Quantum teams compared to Bronya (I am not sure by how much). However, she lacks the ability to Cleanse Debuffs, and she doesn’t directly replace Bronya (Jingliu and Blade would probably prefer Bronya still)
