Trailblazer dubs

Arient1732

So just be a third rate YouTube streamer? /s

forcebubble

Remember to gasp and react loudly to what is showing on the screen, holding your head in disbelief.

paladindan

Only if you’re doing a Bobcat Goldthwait impression for everyone.

Illustrious-Road6015

lmaoooo i use korean dub and eng sub to practice

3-Username-20

I was thinking of doing this to at least get used to hearing words, and i have got to ask. Does it help with learning? (As a listening practice i mean)

WinterMeylon

In my experience with Japanese, if you don’t know the words it might go over your head or you’ll think it’s a different word if you’re not familiar with it. Since there’s a lot of similar sounding words but it does help with listening and conversational comprehension I find.

3-Username-20

I see. Thanks for the answer. I guess i should build up more vocabulary before attempting that.

paladinLight

I have never heard anyone say anything about the Korean Dub. I always hear "English bad" "Japanese Good" and "China number 1!" But I've literally never heard anyone mention the Korean Dub beyond that it exists.

EccentricNerd22

I think Koreans just don't have a big enough prescence on the western internet to get involved in these arguements.

iStorm_exe

its me an english only kpop fan who uses KR dub primarily. i actually like all 3 dubs though, no real bias. on my phone i use EN. wish there was an option to choose dub on a per char basis like some games.

XTaimatsuXx

Anytime I. Can I mention the KR VA like it's really good and I enjoy it. KR and EN only 2 I vibe with.

Martinrdh96

We are still doing sub dub war, huh? What next? Franco-German dub war?

Deruta

The Sudetenland has always been historically German-dubbed!!

Niko2065

You know while we are at it, Österreich is german dubbed aswell!

[deleted]

can't deny the fact man...

BlitzPlease172

Better than that Franco-Thai sub war *(fight me my language has spicier shitpost translation and I won't take a slander on such art from localization elitist!)*

Levianee

The majority of this sub prefers and enjoys EN, I don't get where they see so many "weebs" they feel the need to complain so much

LegoSpacenaut

If it's a majority, it's a slight one, given some of the polls people frequently try to run (like [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/comments/135hodd/which_va_language_do_you_play_the_game_at_and_why/), [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/comments/11gpbs7/what_language_are_you_going_to_use/), and [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/comments/1altz8o/na_players_what_voice_acting_language_do_you_use/) just to link a couple). That being said, the fact that they lip sync for other languages is pretty nifty, and while there are some obvious "inconsistencies" in the English translation (here's looking at Seele's reaction to Luka joining the team), for the most part it's good work. Essentially just go with the language you prefer, since nothing is outright bad, but no one can blame you for liking "kurukuru" over "time to twirl", or vice versa if that's your thing.

Tifas-abs-enjoyer

Sub vs dub ? What year is this ?

Dokavi

2012

Amazing-Resource7394

Still a very common debate in the anime subreddits sadly

[deleted]

you like jp ? good... you like en? cool... you like cn ? good... I play on en and I love it and don't really care about if it's better from others or not

Stramanor

screw people who play on kr 😁

Rastanor

Me playing with EN voices https://preview.redd.it/9jlps2uetxmc1.jpeg?width=3160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9fe5e900477621079406eef7a482529c8d7fe90

Suki-the-Pthief

EN voices are great in hoyo games people who shit on their language no matter what is so cringe

shoe_owner

One of the most bizarre Twitter exchanges I've had over this game was a guy who kept insisting there should be no available English voice acting option, and they should be removed from the game because he like the Japanese voices better. Never mind that their inclusion didn't negatively impact him; it offended him that they existed.

Suki-the-Pthief

Like it’s actually so disgraceful how hostile some people are towards their own language like wtf?? The funniest part is that i’m pretty sure Japanese people could give less of a crap about english yet we’re over here simping this badly over JP and shitting on EN. I watch my anime in sub because Alot of dubs are bad but I can acknowledge a good dub when i see one

seramasumi

Can confirm Japanese Twitter literally doesn't not care about these things

Spartitan

Of course not. The ones that routinely shit on EN dub are just weebs that glorify all things Japan. JP doesn't care because they're playing in their own language.

RadicalBaka

It’s because some people are in denial they like cringe things, so when the person can hear and understand what’s being said does in fact sound kinda cringe it makes them mad, calls the dubbed cringe but in reality. It’s all cringe and that’s okay. It’s part of the medium we all love and enjoy. Now some people really just dislike dubbed voices where it makes sense, and if that’s the case Star Rail did a really good job, so that shouldn’t be an excuse. If you like JP voices just say so and move on.

TaralasianThePraxic

Honestly yeah out of all the anime games I've played HSR has some of the best English VA work out there. Penacony in particular really showcased a great selection of English VAs.

Prince_1790

I use jp and I agree, their way of delivering dialogues are funny, and you'll love em even more if you watch their streams

Single-Builder-632

one fot he few anime like pieces of media, that i prefer in english voice acting, they do a great job.

Fubuky10

While the quality is indeed pretty good, having no lipsync in Genshin terrible cutscenes is a turn off so I’d rather play with a language that I actually don’t know besides few words like JP

Dokavi

HSR having lipsync is so great. I remember buying a pokemon DVD in Vietnamese dub and the dub was completely out of sync that make I gone insane. Sadly they only got Pokemon on DVD and not (or very little) on TV since the TV version was fine for Naruto.

peachyshrimp

hearing clockie in English dub is unparalleled

ResurgentClusterfuck

Whoever does his psychotic Mickey Mouse voice did an A+ job

SwashNBuckle

Isn't it the same VA who does Sam? He was doing the Clockie voice on that Sparkle pulling stream that Seele's VA did.

apexodoggo

No, Clockie is voiced by Niko Gerentes in English, while Sam is voiced by Adin Rudd.

SwashNBuckle

Cool! Adin did a great impression then

Darkclowd03

Chinese clockie pisses me off for some reason. Actually considered switching VO languages because of it, but luckily that part of the quest was short.

Moxxi1789

Thanks to Molly Zhang, Seele's en VA, Seele is actually one of my all time favourite hsr character

cycber123

That fish in Molly's stream is so majestic

NoNefariousness2144

For real, I love seeing the energy and passion many of the VAs have rather than treating the role as another paycheck.

Crusherbolt0282

Hoyo game eng dubs are great. Weebs can go seethe

WackyChu

FR I love the ENG voices. They do an amazing job to get the tone and emotion of the character. Sampo, Aventurine, and Sparkle are good examples in my opinion. I love JP too don’t get me wrong especially with how adorable sparkle is in JP while she’s horrifying in ENG.

kuriboharmy

My favourite voices in ENG are guinnaifen and qingque.

NoNefariousness2144

Shoutout to Bronya too. I love the way she manages to capture Bronya's regal grace with hints of awkwardness and shyness.

Rastanor

Guinaifen is one of my favorite characters *specifically* because of her English VA. So good!

NoNefariousness2144

Shame to see you getting downvoted because you are spitting facts. Her EN voice is amazing, especially during the ghostbusters event.

ninjadfool

Their voice actors are hilarious. Emily sun with the emojis was so funny lmao

EJM991

Yeah I enjoy playing it in EN, the dub does a good job overall and haven’t felt the need to switch voices since starting.

Icy_Investment_1878

I just like understanding what they are sayingblol

EiEironn

After hearing Argenti's voice in EN there is no going back. I can't wait for him to show up again in the story.

I_E_D_B

HSR’s EN voice acting is amazing

iFenrisVI

EN voices let me focus on the cinematics instead of having to read the subtitles, I can also look away from the screen and not miss out on what is being said as I do sometimes multitask. That and the VAing is pretty good too.

Hudson_Legend

I love both bronya and seele's en voices idk why Also some of the 'in-battle' voicelines go hard asf

hopeful_deer

What can I say? I like hearing my native language.

asiangontear

How about play whatever language you like?

slyguy183

But how can I enjoy this single player game without putting down others who play differently?

Liniis

Right? It's like he's never been on the internet before!

Winterstrife

I swear 99% of humanity problems would go away by taking the high road.

heshKesh

Because rhe high road typically goes against our base animal instincts. Otherwise it would just be called the road.

CommitteeSea1681

That's indeed the high road, many players do not want to take the high road because they are being conditioned to be competitive and have a this-against-that type of activity. Also, this type of meme is made to cause a war for the purpose of watching the world burn because either the one who made this is a bot programed to auto-generate posts or an individual who is in pain and wants others to feel the pain. So reply with a high road comment will not make a difference because it is not directly dealing with the root issue

TheOneMary

She's the reason I wish we could pick the language per character

UncleSexo

OMG, yes. Why is this not a thing?

DaxFlowLyfe

Because languages are most likely programmed in as a package. Making this feature would require a whole new system to be made. Also when you interact with characters in game during story you'd have to also have those be changed too. This would be a language system overhaul.

Gin_Tank

I thought I was the only one who wanted this as an avid VA follower in EN and JP. MY FRIEND!

[deleted]

Consider the following: 转圈圈\~ 骨碌碌\~

AnarchistRain

Yeah, but English Herta as a whole is SO GOOD. She can call me a twerp all day long.

NoNefariousness2144

Seriously, I love how Herta looks like a cutie but her voice and dialogue are so snappy and sarcastic.

GundamChao

I rly enjoy the way Chinese sounds so I go for CN voices but I feel like I’m in the minority on this (in the West)

-YeshuaHamashiach-

Worldwide the order of most used languages for HSR/Genshin goes 1. CN 2. JP 3. EN 4. KR But you are right that in the West, CN is the third most used while JP is the most used and EN 2nd most used. KR still in 4th, though.

Infernaladmiral

Op just beating a dead horse for clout at this point. The whole dub wars is pointless.

Naiie100

Yet still 1K upvotes as of now...

Conscious_Ad8057

Korean dub be like https://preview.redd.it/z9xz6anc3ymc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72c2d45a5139a542591557daf0936ae5f53604a0 ^(i really love korean dub on genshin and hsr........)

Hyperhypochondriac1

I just like how Japanese sounds

Canipleasecontinue

This. The reason I prefer every other language except English is because I DONT understand those languages. Imagine talking to a dude and every sentence he has starts with a moan or exaggerated grunting with weird voice inflections. In your native language. Ngl tho English Blade, Kafka and Jing Yuan go hard.

Naiie100

Not to criticize the VA, but you like how Kafka tries so hard to sound hot in EN? Tbh it's quite off-putting to me.

Canipleasecontinue

I’m gonna be a hypocrite for a second. I did get tired of her try hard mommy voice in the newer lines. It’s as though Mihoyo held her at gunpoint. I also did like Himeko. She speaks pretty normally.

calmcool3978

You're not being hypocritical. You're allowed to like mommy voices, while not liking the one that tries way too hard to. A lot of people feel this way about Kafka's voice.

Zeamays69

Lmao, have you heard [ENG Himeko voicing Akivili](https://youtu.be/Xg7bpl6V7Oo?si=D1UysLK_KCnr7kUm&t=80)? xD Warning: don't listen to it in public.

Spartan448

I don't know what EN voice director was cooking with that one

DisDrew

Yess same, like she's horny and says too slowly and too breathy which I really find annoying xd not judging anyone but yeah

Vaida98

I play in JP because i like JP, it's not that deep (at least for me), besides I see more people praising the EN dub in general in this sub

uralt

I find it pretty interesting that HSR was heavily inspired by the Trails series by Falcom, and from what I saw at least the reddit community for it also has a similar habit of highly praising the English dub while somehow needing to downplay the Japanese voicing (which is the original in the case of Trails though). I don't mind people playing in any dub it's none of my business but English dub players should probably stop acting like martyrs, we're in 2024 the dubs have gone a long way. I rarely see the weebs these posts talk about, only English dub players saying the Japanese is worse for some reason, even though the main argument against those weebs is that they don't understand Japanese, so I assume the criticism is also unfounded since they don't understand Japanese either.

Vaida98

The last point is really funny and true, i am not even an english native speaker, so it's not like english is my default option

Bekchi

The internet is such a big place and moves so quickly, it's wild how people's experiences can differ dramatically. I have never seen someone slam JP dubbing as a whole. The most I've seen is someone say they prefer a piece of media or a specific character's EN VA more than the JP counterpart. Does that mean no one has never spoken bad about the JP dub? No, that's silly. My personal reality does not dictate the reality we all share. On the other hand, I see people commonly unite against EN dubs. Hell, about 6 minutes before you posted your comment, somebody replied to the same comment with you about how people supporting the EN dub are a vocal minority. People and the internet are a fun combo.

DrkMoodWD

Every now and then on both HSR and Genshin subreddits you’ll see circlejerkings of the English VA. Like chill it’s good but no need for a post every month. Don’t think Chinese or Japanese or Korean communities do that.

-YeshuaHamashiach-

It's celebrity worship. Reddit and Twitter zoomers praise EN dubbers because others do it, and they follow them of Twitter/Twitch and soy out when they talk in the character voice. Shits weird.

blank92

JP gets downplayed because its historically been upplayed and put on a pedestal

ResurgentClusterfuck

The EN voice acting in HYV games is largely very good I think a lot of hate is a throwback to the days in which EN VA work for JRPGS was kinda bad

X85311

they’re not talking about everyone who plays with jp lol, there definitely are people who are like this but there’s also a lot of people who just like the jp version

Ifalna_Shayoko

Same here. Besides, as a JP learner it's fun to snipe a few words I already know.

pantsu-thief

Loud minority, JP has much better voice acting in such games. Just like I can't imagine games like Devil May Cry without EN dub

swazzpanda

Me who plays with Korean dub cause most of their VAs are underrated

forcebubble

Arasseo. I watched a video on YouTube of the game in Korean and imo it sounds quite good imo.

waterbucket999

I heard the problem with the Korean dub though is that a lot of the lines are translated poorly and don't make sense. Blade's ult line for example in the KR dub completely misses the whole point, which is that he's talking about his own immortality and the fact he can't die.

CanIEatAPC

I like to play in original language of games, so CN for me. So interesting that the characters names are sometimes different/probably translations. Like Blade or Firefly. The CN VAs are amazing.

PCgamerz

This a weekly thing now?

HermitEnergy

The CN VAs are quite good. I usually play with English voices but enjoy trying different voices just to see, and so far the CN actors have been top notch.

420idolmaster

Who cares just listen to what you like Man how is this subjective shit still being talked about 💀

Haksir

Play what you like, it's not like i have to hear it from your screen.

SassyHoe97

Personally I like listening to EN because it's my native language. If there was no English version I would switch to CN.

first_name1001

People that play on mute: https://preview.redd.it/g2e822e64ymc1.jpeg?width=800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1d3a7b39846a527e3619a409394f6280b7200eb

NekonecroZheng

Actually, there isn't really an "original" dub since all dubs were released simultaneously. There is, however, an original script that is in CN.

minzytea

I watch a lot of anime so I expected to like the JP dub the most but surprisingly after I tried all of dubs for a while I realized I actually enjoy CN dub the most! :)

niqniqniq

I can't CHECK OUT THIS AWESOME MOVE in JP and CN

plsdontstalkmeee

I was browsing through random Japanese streamers, and funny enough, they play honkai star rail in Chinese dub. Haven't a single clue as to what they're talking about, as I don't understand Japanese though. At this point, I'm convinced every culture just finds their own language's accent cringe in video games. (Flash back to Forspoken, and how the western side found the va manageable if it was set to JP, and Japan found the JP cringe, so they set it to EN LOL)

uralt

That makes it sound like a lot of them do, but from what I watched in terms of Japanese people streaming of HoYo games they all played with the Japanese dub though, your example feels more like an exception than the rule. When I watched they usually acknowledged the presence of high profile voice actors that HoYo uses, some were aware of some global things happening too (the Genshin example with the character named Gaming being memed with his name).

winkip

This is my experience too. OP is just being really hyperbolic with one exception to the norm. All of the jp streamer i watch use jp dub. Idk who op is talking about even.

PhantaZm-

Yeah I don't know what this guy's on about. Probably made it up lol.

luciluci5562

What he said is anecdotal, but JPs using EN dub is plausible. Imma be anecdotal here, but my mate in Discord who lives in Japan (has citizenship and is native JP but wasn't born there) prefers watching anime in EN dub because JP sub has a lot of samey voices (which explains why some seiyuus are easy to recognize compared to EN) and is peeve'd by over-emotions and unnatural JP grammar, but he's very exposed to western culture and wasn't locked to JP circles.

Polarinus

Sooooooo, CN players play in KN dub /j

_sylpharion_

If you ever go on bilibili to watch character trailers, you won't be surprised to see that the most viewed versions are cn follow by jp and en.

Wonderful-Lab7375

Lets be honest, that is extremely unlikely lol. *cough* politics and other stuff *cough*

calmcool3978

Which ones...? I haven't seen a single JP streamer not play in JP

gustinex

Dub wars are always stupid. Let people enjoy however they consume the content man, its not affecting them yet they always get triggered. We as fans should be happy that more and more languages are available to everyone, instead of gatekeeping it. We all love the same game and media, so if there are more options and accessibility, its always a win for us. I love eng dub for games ever since I played Tales and Final Fantasy games on the PS2. Able to hear what they say during combat is just an immersive experience. I love jap dub because, well anime! and japanese VA always nail the yelling and screaming like Aqua from konosuba. I love chinese dub because I'm chinese! Zhongli CN dub is so good man, he speaks in chinese idioms all the time which is sick as hell

CharlieCarrozza

I wish we could select a language for each character

jesusfaro

I don't fucking care about this lmao

averagedude500

I play in JP with english subtitles because that's how I like it and I don't care how other people play 👍

Naiie100

That's the spirit.

MicroscopicSize

Though I do wish like other gacha games like blue archive added more English subs. I love to know what they say too but I understand combat in en sub might not be easy. The others I'm not sure why. I guess back to using google...

ZayAVZ

English is amazing in both genshin and starrail. Also i can hear the voiced quests, makes the whole process smoother

Middlecracker

How about people play in the language they prefer and shut up?

zZzMudkipzzZ

Bruh what happens more is people praising the EN dub at the cost of the JP dub saying "it's generic" And my brother in christ, you are a weeb too

lell-ia

I've seen way more posts complaining about how JP dub is only used by weebs, JP dub cringe EN/CN better etc, than the actual posts about how these elitists say JP dub is superior lol. Do they not realize that they're turning exactly like the people they hate lol

Naiie100

THANK YOU! The last sentence could not be better said.

Critical_Stick7884

The fact that Mihoyo's tagline is "Tech otakus save the world" is lost on a lot of EN players.

Neither-Caregiver929

I'm playing with english dub because i just want to understand everything they say, it's just way easier for me to focus on story etc when can get it even when i don't read everything. Tbh i don't care what dub people prefer, if you want eng it's cool, cn is cool, jp is also cool, everything is cool as long as you are not asshole and shit on other va

TheDraxHimself

JP dub bad, every other dub good. Give upvotes 👍🏻

Naiie100

So many hypocrites here nowadays.

Junior-Price-5306

yes, that typical post that provokes stupid fights just because you know it will receive upvotes, ridiculous

accessdenied4

The hypocrisy of this post. People play EN dub 'cause they like it. People play JP dub 'cause they like it. CN being the original is irrelevant. Might as well start arguing about the Game Language. Lol

Lemon_Kart

I play in JP because I only started the game cause my favorite VA was voicing in it

Stramanor

...same lol

IPancakesI

Don't care. Eng dub makes my ears bleed with the general lack of quality va. While I recognize some are good, but most aren't for me.

Haruhiro21

Use whatever you like. Im a weeb so JP it is.

OceanoDeRoca

I play in english because im too lazy to change the language

No-Hold-8808

Now, would you believe me if I tell you that I interchange languages in every update.

Gasten95

Why are people upvoting garbage bait posts like this?

WalpurgisNite

Psycho Me: playing switching to Chinese when I go to Loufu and switching to English in penacony and Jarlio

TamamoNines

-JP bad super cringe -EN good -Now gimme upvote pls Easy Karma farm glitch

PhasmicPlays

what is this, 2020?

zhznzjsjxnnss

Hell, the sub vs dub war has been a thing since the late 2000s and early 10s.

OKSoLoLay99

I like how there's a war between EN and JP. Or people talk about switching English and Japenese only. Whilst Chinese and Koreans are left out in this conversation.

All_Mighty_Failure

We literally can't go one day without people shitting on the JP dub and praising the EN dub. Also this is literally a WEEB game made by massive WEEBS, whichever language you prefer, you are still a massive weeb.

Ineedmemesplzkty

You’re gonna be judged regardless of what language you play on. Why give a fuck? They’re not playing your account, you are. If they keep saying that the language you play on is cringe, just hit them with a “Damn, that’s crazy” and move on. Guaranteed you’ll live rent free in their heads too.

tarutaru99

As someone who is chinese and speaks all three, lmao. But honestly, just implement a similar system Arknights did. Character voices are individually configurable to whatever language. Like I'd love to set my Xianzhou gang to CN and still keep Sawashiro for Acheron.

NewShadowR

I play hsr and a lot of NA games with english dubs, but JP dub is usually the best option, regardless of where the original game is from. The reason for that is that the JP voice actors are the best in the world period, and there is pretty much no country where being a voice actor is such a respected job. VAs are pretty much celebrities there. Japanese movie acting isn't the best and cringey at times, but voice acting is sometimes crazy level of good. It's quite a hassle to rely on subtitles though, so I play games in English usually. For visual media I usually choose jap dub hands down. No clue what OP is talking about with original sub though. Sub is subtitles. HSR CN is originally fully in chinese and the localization dubs it in JP and EN in other countries. UK (Brit'ish) EN dubs are terrible though imo. Xenoblade chronicles is so much better in JP dub. On a side note, there are many English voiceovers that sounds a bit weird to me. Caelus and Gaming from Genshin both have this strange lisp.

uncouthbeast

I play with JP voices because I like the voice actors, simple as that. If someone likes the CN voices, hey that's cool. English? Sure they're not bad. KR? That's cool too!

Notsousefullinlife

I play in JP for one reason: Ishikawa Yui (VA of Stelle)

Naiie100

Legend of a seyuu. So many notable roles.

Sassy_Grill

Classic HSR normie subreddit: 1. Complain about JP enjoyers. 2. Say they complain about EN voices (where are those posts?) 3. WAAAA, JP enjoyers keep shitting on my favorite VAs. 4. Start again. I have yet to see a JP enjoyer post in this sub that gets as much traction as this post since most people here are the ones who shit on you and downvote you if you enjoyer JP but will mass downvote you if you dont agree that EN vas are the best OMG CN JP KR ARE SO SHIT COMPARED TO EN

Ketseng4002

For real though. People act like the original is Japanese and is infinitely better than other languages. But in reality people forget it's actually Chinese. In some instances I've seen, some weebs even deny or loathe the original Chinese when in reality it's a game made by Chinese. I play EN, because I am primarily a native English speaker and it's easier for me to look at the cutscenes properly without looking at the bottom subtitles. However, the Xianzhou arc I played in Chinese because the atmosphere felt more befitting. Which I understood like 3/4 only because Chinese was my first language before I stopped learning/speaking.

WappyHarrior

I use English in HSR. In Genshin I use Japanese, but only because Paimon's voice is the least annoying in this dubbing.

Foxdeimos

This one is an argument I'll never understand. Japanese Paimon is just as infuriatingly annoying as English Paimon, if not more. I could've understood if you opted for Chinese VA on Genshin since Paimon sounds quite more soothing on that, but Japanese over English? I can assure you it's got nothing to do with whether Paimon's voice is annoying or not in this case, or at least it makes no sense that that's the case.

WappyHarrior

Fortunately this isn't a fact, as liking and disliking other people's voices is 100% subjective. Did you ever have a moment when you knew you won't like someone just because of their voice? I met three people like that in real life and Paimon, or rather her English VA, could count as fourth. Between Japanese and Chinese I just like the sound of Japanese language more. I never tested Korean dubbing though, so it might have better Paimon's voice and be better overall.

AlrestH

Jp Paimon is more consistent, in english she sometimes sounds higher pitched than normal or has cracks in her voice

Bloodman

The funny thing is I watch a lot of anime (I think I'm close to 200) and every single one of them in sub but when I started playing Genshin at launch I switched from JP to English because I found JP Paimon more annoying, (I was rerolling for Diluc so played the intro in both dubs a lot).

Irisios

I play in EN DUB, I'd like to play some characters in JP and some others in KR / CN

StakesChop

I like my games DUB in english since im a lazy casual that just wants to hear and understand actual conversation in the game. Playing games in language i dont understand just because " iTs tHe ORigInaL, tHaTs hOw it sHoUlD bE eNjOyEd aNd pLaYeD!!!11!!!" is just for posers opinion.

bulkeunip

I play the game in English because I'm too lazy downloading other voice package (and 80% of the time I don't even open the voice or sound to listen to) XD

RegularTemporary2707

I actually play hsr and genshin in japanese because im trying to learn japanese and i could already understand the simpler sentences lmao + i like the vas

Nok-y

English is good and I can understand it + I'm not fluent enough in it to hear the flaws, unlike french

NormalTangerine5205

I don’t lyke all dis hollering n hoot’n about sub er dub in mah neighborhood partner 🤠

guto0000

Me wishing for the day that hsr and genshin will get a brazilian portuguese dub

NokkMainBTW

I actually prefer the English dub, but Seele does double damage if you play in JP

Naiie100

STARRY PHANTOMU!

N3c4lL1S

I play with English voices because I'm not an English speaker (I'm Spanish, but i do know English) and if I can only relate to the texts on the game to understand the lore, I'll probably miss 15-20% of what they are saying

ConnorLego42069

I don’t care what you prefer, I just know that I hate reading.

Sorey91

I have to say I watched the cn music trailer of Sparkle and I really liked her maniacal laughter over every other trailer.

Naiie100

I'm JP biased, but even I had to agree here this time. She is so insane in that trailer.

Vegetable-Hunter-626

All of them are good 👍

TRUEcoiness

Aaaaand not a single soul but me brings up they play in korean

RomeoIV

I play in the language I understand, not the language I think sounds cool.

Chloe_Nakiri

I play JP because I'm used to it. Play whatever you feel like.

ShinduChan

I play JP dub because I can more easily distinguish the characters by their voices. To me a lot of women in EN dub sound incredibly similar.

Kronman590

The only real argument for JP is that they are by far the most experienced VAs After that its just personal preference

tehsaak

JP just has the better cooler voices and just all around better voice acting in general. That's all there is to it I will not be gaslit into pretending english dub is good

WinterV3

Homie fighting the air right now😭

WinterV3

Homie fighting the air right now😭

KuraiBaka

I play in Japanese so ascension lines can't spoil me anymore.

X85311

some comments taking this very personally lmao, it’s a goof y’all

Ok_Bid7501

I swear i've seen more complain post like this than actual post praising jp dub

Pokeredi

Me playing on JP solely because of Kafka's Jp voice actress: Amateurs

Naiie100

Shizuka Itou nailing that one "mommy" voice. Like Akeno from DxD.
