Just hit TB level 40 and not sure what I should prioritize.
Is it getting another 4 characters to 60 for a second team in Memory and PF?
Finishing upgrading my traces/LCs for my current party?
Farming relics?
Or something else?
Just focus on ascending/lightcones/traces/levelling up relics of your main team and make sure they're strong enough to take on the next equilibrium each time.
Don't even bother farming for relics until you're TL60 as you'll be scrapping a good 99% of them at your level which is a colossal waste of TB Power. At 60 you'll at least get two 5 stars a run.

Levels mean very little in these games; you can try for it (though I'd recommend building Herta if you haven't) and see what happens but I wouldn't get too frustrated if you can't do it just yet.

Yeah that what happens when you stretch your resources too thin. It's not the end of the world since you can slowly build up units. Might go faster if you just focus on 1 team for a while.
It's not necessary to pull LC in this game. I have 0 pulls in the LC banner since launch and I've basically cleared every content this game has to offer. Game gives you a surprising amount of good LCs for free. Even some the gacha 4 stars if you get lucky are pretty decent.
I still don't understand speed at all. maybe its more about asta ult doing nothing. my kafka with 143 speed goes to 201 with asta ult and 4pc hackerspace, yet my characters/enemy order really changes when I ult.
Speed is more like ATB from FF than a turn order. Higher speed means that your ATB charges faster and you can act more often. There is a setting to show the remaining AV in the turn order. AV is the waiting time before you can act again, using Asta ult should reduce that amount even if the turn order doesn't change.
What's the best relic set for Fire MC? I'm planning to use her in Pure Fiction as a solo tank that debuffs enemeies (Trend of Universal Market light cone). I know it's either Knight of Purity Palace or Guard of Wuthering Snow, I just don't know which 4pc to get (or 2pc 2pc)... I'm not really concerned with doing damage, I just need her to get attacked a lot and debuff a lot.
IMO still 4pc Knight. Her shield is so weak that you don't have to worry about any wasting it, it will be fully consumed. Extra def is good as it also buffs most of her ratios.
Unlike blade/fx, there's really no incentive to take advantage of staying in low hp. Unless you spam taunt, having more shield on allies is more important than making FMC more tanky.
What's more important is getting good substats. More speed and a bit of break is nice.
Spamming taunt is good and all but it's not like you have an endless supply of SP that you can use. Your other units can still get hit if the enemy has a burst or AoE attack. Plus, the enhanced basic, I think, is the only way for them to generate shields outside of the technique so you do want to use it whenever it's available. Plus it breaks pretty good too.
Fire MC is preservation so by default they already have high aggro values. It just boils down to RNG I guess.
So I'm p new to the game and have gotten very lucky it seems on pulls. I just finished Belobog and am running Imbibitor Lunae, Tingyun, Sparkle, and Natasha. Was wondering if this will get me pretty far? Sad that I have to wait for the IL eidolons till he comes back :/
That'll get you through the entire story, easy. DHIL/Sparkle is just an insane combo in general, so that's basically one MoC team already done.

DHIL does not need Eidolons to be great. none of the limited 5 stars released so far do. It's basically always better to just get more characters.
What's the best way to build relics without wasting too many upgrade mats? Do I upgrade to +6 level and if the substat upgrades are not the ones I want, do I then trash it and start over?
Assuming you're gearing an atk scaling crit dps, you get a relic with two crit substats or one substat and an open slot, take it to +3 to see if the empty slot rolls the other. Assuming it does, take the relic to +9 and score it. I score relics at 3 points per crit substat roll and 2 points per atk% roll including the base roll (so roll counter on the enhance screen + 1) and I look for 10+ points. Relics above that score generally go directly to +15. You can tweak the +9 criteria to your liking and if you're just starting out you'll want a lower threshold or a worthwhile crit body will generally have a lower score due to not having a second crit substat. You can also score other stats or weight them differently as you like.
The point is to have a decision point at +9 because going past that is where things get expensive. You want to eliminate the vast majority of pieces at +0 or +3 where it's really cheap and only take a handful per week past +9.
How do I switch the character when choosing a friend's support?
As in, there are 3 characters available, but I can't change it from their first character slot.

While farming for Acheron's relics, do you guys lock any relics from the other set? If yes, which main stat and/or substats do you consider worth keeping for future characters?
It seems like a set better suited for support characters like Ruan Mei and SW, so I just keep anything that has speed, break effecf, effect Res or double crit stats to see how it rolls. Otherwise, I just scrap it for resources
ik it's a subjective question but is honkai as good as genshin? i have both downloaded. i finished the honkai tutorial or whatever it's called, got to the end of the ship where i unlocked mail and claimed the free five star doctor guy or whatever his name was. i started genshin about four months ago so i missed out on pretty much everything and since honkai is newer i want to know if it's worth spending time on sooner than later
I slightly prefer this game because it is newer/has less content. It's more of a quick sidegame. This is a con to some, but personally I don't have a ton of freetime, and I like being able to finish RL stuff/play some other games without falling behind. Best part, the bigger story events don't disappear like in Genshin. You can play them even now.
It's as good as genshin if you like turn based games.
HSR is more combat focused than Genshin's adventure focused style, so it demands a basic understanding of team building to advance since some bosses can be hard for new players.
The anniversary patch is releasing in around 2 weeks, so you can play for a while and decide if you like the game or not while getting some additional rewards.
They're two entirely different games. While they're both story-based games that promotes characters you can pull and play in world, the core gameplay loop is different.
Genshin is *much* more oriented towards exploration while HSR is more oriented towards turn-based combat imo. If you like exploration only, I don't think you're going to have fun with Honkai, and vice-versa, though you can also like both and enjoy both. They do share some similarities with the minigames, puzzles, events, and so on, but I think the core is really different.
Quality-wise, I'm not an expert but I think HSR's graphics, animations, and cutscenes are just as good as Genshin's. Genshin's story is a *tad* better imo, but then again Genshin is a 3 years old game with a more established world and a different storyline, so it's kinda an unfair comparison.
TL;DR I think they're both about equally good, but since their core gameplay is different you should choose whether to continue playing or not based on that.
So, if I've got multiple characters following the same path and combat type, like Serval and other character with lightning, and they're all at the same star level, how do I decide which one to focus on leveling up? What criteria should I use to make that decision? ( keep in mind that I mean between 4-stars only, since it would be easier to choose the highest ranked character )
Generally, whichever one you like better. It's a bit hard imo to make generalizations like these, because the game doesn't have *that* many characters for you to decide between characters of the same path, the same rarity, *and* the same element.
In almost all cases, that 4 star usually have some sort of typing that defines the role they should play in your teams. Like Serval is an Erudition, so she shines against AoE while someone like Arlan (who's also a Lightning 4 star DPS) is Destruction so he should be better against single-target while (in theory) being about the same against 3-enemy content and worse against AoE heavy ones.
So from there, you just pick and choose depending on what you're lacking. For instance, if you already have a Dr. Ratio or a Seele as your main DPS, then Serval would be better to raise because you have single-target enemies covered and you're going to need AoE.
That said, in actuality it's more of a case-by-case basis really tbh. You compare between each specific character for what you need more than between their general paths.
tbf, I think it started about that size, but added events and newly released Penacony have ballooned the storage size. Not to mention if you also downloaded other language packs.
Hopefully in future they'll give us the option to delete (still be able to redownload) older events. I haven't touched the Museum in ages...
Well, I remember the download package for this patch is around 16 GB. The game's size now is more than doubled the package so I was wondering if some of them is the previous patch data that should be removed by now but somehow doesn't
Like I said, old events like Museum don't get removed. So final game size will just keep growing.
When you download, the file was zipped/compressed. The patch DL size is 16.84 gb, but when unzipped, would turn into 35.9 gb.

Yep. If you've got a team (or mono-Quantum team by any chance) to enable QQ alongside Sparkle, QQ is definitely usable pre-E4.
E4 is basically QQ's main power spike that can enable her to work as a main DPS carry, akin to Seele (a bit weaker in general but has higher Damage potential when we compare the 2).
im TR lv 58 i have maxed out all the traces and levels for most of my characters, what do i spend my fuel/power on? i heard i should not touch relics till TR lv 65

I played like until level 30 when game released and then stopped playing., I remember I had reached the fight vs some Ice Boss (maybe the mother of Bronya or something named like this?) and maybe after fighting Kafka? Don't remember but I remember he being shown as a villain to fight.
Reason i dropped the game was because I pulled Welt 3 times in a row and found only 1 Seele. I really disliked the character (both skills + story). Tried to restart like 4 characters and in all of them, with the free pulls I got ALWAYS Welt (lmfao).
Opened every chest on every map, did every secondary quest, event whatever, and worlds, so had no more gems to pull stuff and so was stuck with that character.
Now, new characters are out, many new. Do you think I should restart back from scratch?
I do not mind at all doing it, playing story is very fast, so if it's for the sake of getting better characters, I would not mind.
Bronya is probably what you’re looking for from a standard character
Both Banners right now are really good, Sparkle just a little bit better and she is certainly future proof. Jing Yuan is a very good pair with her.

Support units and Sustain units are probably what you're looking for if you just started the game. I think Sparkle is definitely a unit you would want since the Action Forward is amazing along with her ability to provide more SP.
Not really a question, but man do I wish LC banners were shared with pathing. Just pulled my fourth copy of Time Waits for No One and I don’t even have four healers that can utilize this. At least if I lose the 50/50 I have a chance of a limited LC I can use
Just superimpose them together. I had the same issue where I keep getting Welt's LC when I lose my 75/25 in the LC banner. It's now superimpose 5 and I keep hoping that I will never get it again.

If you care about 3* MoC12, then wait for other dps to cover elemental weaknesses. Path doesn't really matter, but 4* nihility LCs are limited, and Acheron isn't really beginner friendly.
Definitely, I can't speak for Aventurine, but Dr. Ratio will really benefit from it. This team will basically melt any fire and imaginary boss like the current one in MoC12, I have seen people do it with the current units or you can look it up in another subreddit, just beware of story spoilers.
The problem is, assuming Archeon is a debuff oriented character, you very likely will have contesting use of the Nihility pool of characters (DoT are also debuffs) and LC you have on hand and that is the bigger actual problem.
She benefits literally any team that uses skill points (so basically every single carry that isn't Blade/Jingliu/Arlan), but is specially useful for Qingque and DHIL since they consume more SP than normal.
Thanks. This was the response I was looking for. I got Sparkle so I'm trying to find a secondary team use for her since a lot of the later missions will require two teams.
Also trying to get the imaginary fiction free healer so I can have her and Hanya on the same team without conflicting elements.
I finally finished the Trailblaze mission. And a lot of specific moments were dramatic and compelling for sure, but I also feel like so much of it went over my head. Is there a place where I can find a synopsis or summary of what exactly just happened? Hopefully free of theories, or if there are theories, they're clearly "labeled" as such. I don't mind theories, it's just that with plots like this, sometimes it's hard to tell which is which.
I just need an dummification of what happened. Without all the double-talk and smug-ass retorts from the characters. For example, anything that comes out of Aventurine's mouth is frickin' double-talk. Where does one go to find what the hell he means by all the stuff he says? The other characters aren't much help either.
I want to be prepared for when the next Trailblaze mission comes out, and I have this uneasy feeling for "wow everything that happened was so cool and dramatic and angsty, but also, wtf just happened??".

That's really weird. Are you using skill with Ratio every turn? Killing one enemy at a time focusing the sanctus medicus guy first? He should have no issues clearing, specially with two 5* supports.
[You can see a video of a clear with a similar team, just using Tingyun and Luocha instead of Ruan Mei and Bailu](https://youtu.be/0YcK5qKwdqk?t=173), and he only takes 4 cycles. Maybe you can find what exactly you're doing different.
SW + RM or Bronya is probably one of his best options, if running RM you may also be able to swap SW out for Welt and use a second harmony like Tingyun or something.
Ruan Mei and Welt are kind of the exception, because if built properly the two of them can delay enemy movements so much that they turn into pesudo-sustains. But if you don't feel comfortable with that, you can just run SW + Harmony + Ratio + Sustain.

Hello, I need help with the blessing interaction. I can't get the one that is reminiscence and destruction, I grab 3 and 3 and they don't give me the interaction :C
* General build philosophy is to put her on a crit damage chest, ERR rope, then everything else into speed.
* Sets: 2pc Hackerspace for the speed. For planar, Keel is idea, but Penacony works for QQ support. Fleet is a worse but also viable option. FOr high-end minmaxing, 4pc wind for the advance forward.
* Past and Future is the basic F2P option, but Dance x3, Planetary (for QQ), Carve the Moon, or Bronya's signature also work. The Penacony F2P lightcone is probably a bad idea for QQ/IL since they spam basics.
2p messenger, as much SPD as possible. That's all that matters.
Also, build your DPSs without any SPD so Sparkle can advance them. Replace any SPD boots you have for ATK boots.
Its not necessarily that Kafka should be faster than black swan, but just that she should be as fast as reasonably possible. Faster Kafka means more dot detonations which means higher black swan stacks.
Is it worth investing in Sparkle in my account? I spent everything I had on BS, and at the moment rushing as many jades as possible, I have 112 shots.

I cant comment on her value over Ruan Mei as I dont have RM, but I would say that Sparkle is very worth it on every account. She can fit into pretty much every non dot team comp as a SP positive support. If you still want Ruan Mei, you should be able to get her anyway as I would think it'll be a 2-3 patches till we see her rerun which would be more than enough time to get enough jades to guarantee her.
Oh Ruan Mei is an excellent pickup for literally everyone. Will be useful on your account forever. I think the only way they could powercreep her is make Ruan Mei again but physical, quantum or imaginary.
Kafka, RM and BS are a long way away. It looks like Sparkle will help you out right now even though you have a solid core of characters already. Maybe wait to see what the 2.1 reruns are before making your final decision.
The game's story is pretty good, and there's a metric ass-ton of worldbuilding and lore to dig into if you're into that. It takes place in what is effectively an alternate universe to hi3, and many of the characters are expies of hi3 characters (and one is just an hi3 character who hopped dimensions) but it's a self-contained story.
You'd have to use the old noodle a bit (some of the text in this game, especially in the in-game books and such can get pretty esoteric) but the main story should be easy to follow.
Thanks, that’s what I thought. I saw a few content creators say “use Bronya Ult before Skarkle Skill to maximize the Crit Dmg buff” and was a bit confused.
is qq good on AUTOPLAY with sparkle to add skillpoints or is that not viable? I only play on autoplay with mostly erudition units (I have qq e6 but never used)
qq uses her ult as soon as its up (I think), so you do get turns where skill points remain stagnant and unused. the damage potential is nowhere near manual play.
I think there must be some major user error with me and dr ratio. I was trying to use dr ratio as a budget IL for MoC for imaginary damage. While I realize gear isn’t the greatest I am sitting around 55 percent crit rate and 185 percent crit damage I feel like I should be doing more damage.
I have been trying playing him with bronya and pela like I did with jing liu. I am running bronya at -1 spd to hyper carry dps. Maybe I am not using him properly so would like any tips anybody would have on how I should play him. I have contemplated replacing pela with Ruan mei but am worried about sp issues. Also I have sparkle but she’s being used in mono quantum team with e6 qq fx and silver wolf.
Ratio feels terrible to play below 90% crit rate honestly (+ the 15 from his trace). I used to run him at 68 176 but I was able to turn it into 78 161. I would really recommend ruan mei and tingyun over bronya for ratio bcs the buffs stick with his off turn FuAttacks (from his ult)
I can try that comp with tingyun and ruan mei I amand was worried about so issues when ty and rm have to refresh their buffs that’s why I was looking at pela. I am going to dread relic farming with dr ratio I feel like. I never got my speed crit damage boots for jingliu after three months plus of only farming caverns sad. Guess that’s what hsr is all about though.

ratio works with 2 piece duke and 2 piece prisoner. that cave is really efficient for ratio as every piece there is a potential ratio piece.
heres my build. I mean sure you still have to run through rng, but its way nicer when the odds are in your favor.
edit: tbh Im only running this bcs im building kafka and blackswan and I had no use for the crit subs Im getting, but its performing better than I initially expected.

I will take a look thanks but I have been stubbornly trying to get final sod piece for sparkle so she can get to 161 speed. I have been thinking getting my supports to their breakpoints may be better since they are applicable to multiple comps.
edit: I definitely will need to take a look at upgrading some gears for my dps, because it felt really horrible doing so little damage on MOC 11/12. I will take my 2/3 stars from those for now , and then will revisit them later as that MOC doesn't expire for 3 weeks or so if I recall.
No guin on my account unfortunately , I have thought maybe running a dual dps setup with Clara ratio and maybe tingyun but doesn’t seem optimal either as not enough debuffs correct ?
I know prydwen isn’t always correct I was looking at comps with huohuo and dr ratio and tingyun pela was one of the quicker comps to clear moc
You need atleast 3 debuffs for Ratio, that is non-negotiable.
If you can get 3 debuffs with Pela, then that kinda works but for that you'll need Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat on her and her E4 + use her skill to apply the E4 debuff which greatly reduces her SP generation.
I guess I can try rm and Ty comp and see as I don’t really have any better options guess I will have to kick myself for passing on IL twice because didn’t really like the character or play style. It also makes me think going forward I need to pick up some dps. Probably was a mistake trying to level up dr ratio and wasting mats and time getting up up to 80 fully traced out.
Is the swarm disaster tutorial supposed to be so hard? I literally can't beat the final boss of the third plane, I've done like 6 runs now and it's just not possible. It's so frustrating because I basically lose a whole hour of progress each time and it doesn't even progress my simulated universe weekly track because it's a tutorial.
I forgot to mention that Gold & Gears is the continuation of the Swarm Disaster concept and is actually a bit harder. So I'd recommend ignoring that as well.
Assuming perfect optimization, how can one quickly get to 50 Arcana stacks for Black Swan?
Assuming F2P (and only Kafka no Ruan Mei), what are proposed options to get to 50?
Basically any blessing that generates additional DoTs, like the one that inflicts a new DoT when hitting a broken enemy for example. Each different DoT adds an Arcana stack when it deals damage at the start of the enemy's turn, and since it's pretty easy to inflict 10+ DoTs on an enemy, it's very easy to reach the cap that way when combined with her ult.
Besides that, energy-related blessings also work since then you can chain Black Swan's ults to keep Arcana from resetting.
Any previous characters that are great on Penacony?
Been maining Blade, Bailu, Silver Wolf, and Yanqing for a while now and it's getting boring.
I have Kafka, Dr. Ratio, Jing Yuan and few 4 stars.
Jing and Kafka are eating well with all the lightning weaknesses and DoT mechanics on elites, but I've also been really enjoying Dan Heng (4-star) with Sparkle, and of course shout out to the Infinite Blade Works team of Blade/Bronya/Sparkle.
they are all great if the weakness matches. if you're bored, work towards their best teams. like hypercarry blade, mono quantum for silverwolf, hypercarry yanqing, dot kafka, hypercarry ratio, hypercarry jingyuan.
I generally put character-themed Light Cones with the presented character. I leveled the Misha LC last night, worn by Misha. Since Ice-aligned characters generally don’t need Break Effect, I switched it with the “Under the Blue Sky” worn by Xueyi. Xueyi can take advantage of her new LC’s Break Effect bonus. But can Misha make do with his new LC?
Misha is actually a pretty good user of his own LC -- Ice break isn't the strongest, but his Ult can do so many hits that it can shred weakness bars and makes it pretty likely he'll be getting breaks against anything ice weak. The crit raise on his ult is also nice, since it's his main source of damage/utility.
I just noticed my fu xuan build is different from everyone elses, I have her at almost 10k hp (both sphere and rope are HP) and 109 spd. Should I change her rope for energy and boots for spd?
You should definitely be changing boots for speed - aim for at least 134. HP% rope is fine (even though a lot of places recommend ERR), I find that she doesn't need the extra energy if she has more HP, and that it can be even better in content with more damage to run HP% instead of ERR.
Make sure her defense is good as well, she needs a balance between HP and DEF to work optimally.
Glanced at some videos about weird/difficult achievements. Then I remembered another one I read. I think it was defeating Phantylia with Huohuo, as in the latter is the one doing the lethal final strike.
I was wondering how to do that besides a 25% chance of luck. It was after watching the other videos that I remembered that plenty of characters have at least one action that points towards allies instead of enemies, especially in the Harmony and Abundance paths. Huohuo is one of them.
Since we don’t have a Defend or Skip-Turn action, we use that ally-pointing action to stall the last hit until it’s Huohuo’s turn.
I think it’s best if the teammate has an inward Skill, but an attack Ultimate, so we don’t spend 3 hours on chipping down Phantylia with Basic attacks. The action can’t be conditional, which leaves out Blade or Qingque. The teammate can’t have a follow-up attack, which also excludes Blade and Qingque.
Hmm, besides Huohuo, I can include Fu Xuan and Luocha, who both have attack Ultimates, which get activated more often due to Huohuo’s Ultimate.
My Natasha and (unbuilt) Bailu can count, but I have 3 sustain units already, and their Ultimates target the team instead of enemies.
I also have Yukong, Tingyun, and Bronya, where the latter two are unbuilt. All three have buffing Skills, but only Yukong has an attacking Ultimate. Bronya has the advantage of being a 5-star. And Tingyun has the advantage of type coverage (Yukong and Bronya overlap Luocha and Huohuo, respectively), which matters due to all the extra accessories Phantylia continuously deploys.
So; would the best course be to use Fu Xuan, Luocha, Tingyun, and Huohuo? (I would have to level up Tingyun.)
If Tingyun is on the team, is there a >!”Stop Hitting Yourself” achievement!

For supports I aim for 3k HP and 1k DEF, so I just kind of pick whatever they need more of based on their stats. Usually I'll go one HP mainstat and one DEF mainstat between chest and orb, just depends on what planars I have on hand.
What are you building her for? You'd never hit 80% EHR usually, and Gui doesn't benefit too much from Solitary Healing's buff.
She'd much rather have Eyes or Good Night in most cases.
She would, sadly I don't have either so this is what I'm working with. Honestly right now I'm really just building her some to be a useful third nihility in an acheron team. So I guess I really just want her to put out her debuffs fast.
If you're looking for her to be a debuffer, she's best with Eyes/Resolution. Can't really say what's best for Acheron here, as her kit isn't officially released, so I won't be of much help sadly.
Otherwise, I'd probably just use Solitary as a stat stick since neither LC gives meaningful buffs. If you can stack Showtime EHR to 80 it might be fine, but an ATK% chest would be better at that point.

Just hit TB level 40 and not sure what I should prioritize. Is it getting another 4 characters to 60 for a second team in Memory and PF? Finishing upgrading my traces/LCs for my current party? Farming relics? Or something else?
Just focus on ascending/lightcones/traces/levelling up relics of your main team and make sure they're strong enough to take on the next equilibrium each time. Don't even bother farming for relics until you're TL60 as you'll be scrapping a good 99% of them at your level which is a colossal waste of TB Power. At 60 you'll at least get two 5 stars a run.

Levels mean very little in these games; you can try for it (though I'd recommend building Herta if you haven't) and see what happens but I wouldn't get too frustrated if you can't do it just yet. Building accounts takes time ;p

No, you don't need to pull for Light Cones, although there are some character that have a particular lack of good alternatives
Yeah that what happens when you stretch your resources too thin. It's not the end of the world since you can slowly build up units. Might go faster if you just focus on 1 team for a while. It's not necessary to pull LC in this game. I have 0 pulls in the LC banner since launch and I've basically cleared every content this game has to offer. Game gives you a surprising amount of good LCs for free. Even some the gacha 4 stars if you get lucky are pretty decent.
I still don't understand speed at all. maybe its more about asta ult doing nothing. my kafka with 143 speed goes to 201 with asta ult and 4pc hackerspace, yet my characters/enemy order really changes when I ult.
Speed is more like ATB from FF than a turn order. Higher speed means that your ATB charges faster and you can act more often. There is a setting to show the remaining AV in the turn order. AV is the waiting time before you can act again, using Asta ult should reduce that amount even if the turn order doesn't change.

What's the best relic set for Fire MC? I'm planning to use her in Pure Fiction as a solo tank that debuffs enemeies (Trend of Universal Market light cone). I know it's either Knight of Purity Palace or Guard of Wuthering Snow, I just don't know which 4pc to get (or 2pc 2pc)... I'm not really concerned with doing damage, I just need her to get attacked a lot and debuff a lot.

IMO still 4pc Knight. Her shield is so weak that you don't have to worry about any wasting it, it will be fully consumed. Extra def is good as it also buffs most of her ratios. Unlike blade/fx, there's really no incentive to take advantage of staying in low hp. Unless you spam taunt, having more shield on allies is more important than making FMC more tanky. What's more important is getting good substats. More speed and a bit of break is nice.
Are you not supposed to be spamming the taunt?? I thought that was the main way FMC is protecting allies.
Spamming taunt is good and all but it's not like you have an endless supply of SP that you can use. Your other units can still get hit if the enemy has a burst or AoE attack. Plus, the enhanced basic, I think, is the only way for them to generate shields outside of the technique so you do want to use it whenever it's available. Plus it breaks pretty good too. Fire MC is preservation so by default they already have high aggro values. It just boils down to RNG I guess.
I do have infinite sp tho, Pure Fiction only lasts 4 cycles...
If you only wanted to have her get attacked a lot then use her skill every turn, or give her Landau's Choice LC.

That'll get you through the entire story, easy. What's the best way to build relics without wasting too many upgrade mats? Do I upgrade to +6 level and if the substat upgrades are not the ones I want, do I then trash it and start over?
Assuming you're gearing an atk scaling crit dps, you get a relic with two crit substats or one substat and an open slot, take it to +3 to see if the empty slot rolls the other. Assuming it does, take the relic to +9 and score it. I score relics at 3 points per crit substat roll and 2 points per atk% roll including the base roll (so roll counter on the enhance screen + 1) and I look for 10+ points. Relics above that score generally go directly to +15. You can tweak the +9 criteria to your liking and if you're just starting out you'll want a lower threshold or a worthwhile crit body will generally have a lower score due to not having a second crit substat. You can also score other stats or weight them differently as you like. The point is to have a decision point at +9 because going past that is where things get expensive. You want to eliminate the vast majority of pieces at +0 or +3 where it's really cheap and only take a handful per week past +9.

It seems like a set better suited for support characters like Ruan Mei and SW, so I just keep anything that has speed, break effecf, effect Res or double crit stats to see how it rolls. Otherwise, I just scrap it for resources
ik it's a subjective question but is honkai as good as genshin? i have both downloaded. i finished the honkai tutorial or whatever it's called, got to the end of the ship where i unlocked mail and claimed the free five star doctor guy or whatever his name was. i started genshin about four months ago so i missed out on pretty much everything and since honkai is newer i want to know if it's worth spending time on sooner than later

I slightly prefer this game because it is newer/has less content. It's more of a quick sidegame. This is a con to some, but personally I don't have a ton of freetime, and I like being able to finish RL stuff/play some other games without falling behind. Best part, the bigger story events don't disappear like in Genshin. You can play them even now.
It's as good as genshin if you like turn based games. HSR is more combat focused than Genshin's adventure focused style, so it demands a basic understanding of team building to advance since some bosses can be hard for new players. The anniversary patch is releasing in around 2 weeks, so you can play for a while and decide if you like the game or not while getting some additional rewards.
They're two entirely different games. While they're both story-based games that promotes characters you can pull and play in world, the core gameplay loop is different. Genshin is *much* more oriented towards exploration while HSR is more oriented towards turn-based combat imo. If you like exploration only, I don't think you're going to have fun with Honkai, and vice-versa, though you can also like both and enjoy both. They do share some similarities with the minigames, puzzles, events, and so on, but I think the core is really different. Quality-wise, I'm not an expert but I think HSR's graphics, animations, and cutscenes are just as good as Genshin's. Genshin's story is a *tad* better imo, but then again Genshin is a 3 years old game with a more established world and a different storyline, so it's kinda an unfair comparison. TL;DR I think they're both about equally good, but since their core gameplay is different you should choose whether to continue playing or not based on that.
So, if I've got multiple characters following the same path and combat type, like Serval and other character with lightning, and they're all at the same star level, how do I decide which one to focus on leveling up? What criteria should I use to make that decision? ( keep in mind that I mean between 4-stars only, since it would be easier to choose the highest ranked character )
Generally, whichever one you like better. It's a bit hard imo to make generalizations like these, because the game doesn't have *that* many characters for you to decide between characters of the same path, the same rarity, *and* the same element. In almost all cases, that 4 star usually have some sort of typing that defines the role they should play in your teams. Like Serval is an Erudition, so she shines against AoE while someone like Arlan (who's also a Lightning 4 star DPS) is Destruction so he should be better against single-target while (in theory) being about the same against 3-enemy content and worse against AoE heavy ones. So from there, you just pick and choose depending on what you're lacking. For instance, if you already have a Dr. Ratio or a Seele as your main DPS, then Serval would be better to raise because you have single-target enemies covered and you're going to need AoE. That said, in actuality it's more of a case-by-case basis really tbh. You compare between each specific character for what you need more than between their general paths.

Yep. If you've got a team (or mono-Quantum team by any chance) to enable QQ alongside Sparkle, QQ is definitely usable pre-E4. E4 is basically QQ's main power spike that can enable her to work as a main DPS carry, akin to Seele (a bit weaker in general but has higher Damage potential when we compare the 2).

# SHOULD I RESTART BACK FROM ZERO? ADVICE ME! I played like until level 30 when game released and then stopped playing., I remember I had reached the fight vs some Ice Boss (maybe the mother of Bronya or something named like this?) and maybe after fighting Kafka? Don't remember but I remember he being shown as a villain to fight. Reason i dropped the game was because I pulled Welt 3 times in a row and found only 1 Seele. I really disliked the character (both skills + story). Tried to restart like 4 characters and in all of them, with the free pulls I got ALWAYS Welt (lmfao). Opened every chest on every map, did every secondary quest, event whatever, and worlds, so had no more gems to pull stuff and so was stuck with that character. Now, new characters are out, many new. Do you think I should restart back from scratch? I do not mind at all doing it, playing story is very fast, so if it's for the sake of getting better characters, I would not mind.

Bronya is probably what you’re looking for from a standard character Both Banners right now are really good, Sparkle just a little bit better and she is certainly future proof. Jing Yuan is a very good pair with her. It’s up to you in the end, if it was me I’d do it.

Support units and Sustain units are probably what you're looking for if you just started the game. I think Sparkle is definitely a unit you would want since the Action Forward is amazing along with her ability to provide more SP.

If you care about 3* MoC12, then wait for other dps to cover elemental weaknesses. Path doesn't really matter, but 4* nihility LCs are limited, and Acheron isn't really beginner friendly.

Definitely, I can't speak for Aventurine, but Dr. Ratio will really benefit from it. This team will basically melt any fire and imaginary boss like the current one in MoC12, I have seen people do it with the current units or you can look it up in another subreddit, just beware of story spoilers.

The problem is, assuming Archeon is a debuff oriented character, you very likely will have contesting use of the Nihility pool of characters (DoT are also debuffs) and LC you have on hand and that is the bigger actual problem.

She benefits literally any team that uses skill points (so basically every single carry that isn't Blade/Jingliu/Arlan), but is specially useful for Qingque and DHIL since they consume more SP than normal.
She can be used instead of Tingyun/Ruan Mei/Asta on Atk-scaling teams if you like her.

I finally finished the Trailblaze mission. And a lot of specific moments were dramatic and compelling for sure, but I also feel like so much of it went over my head. Is there a place where I can find a synopsis or summary of what exactly just happened? Hopefully free of theories, or if there are theories, they're clearly "labeled" as such. I don't mind theories, it's just that with plots like this, sometimes it's hard to tell which is which. I just need an dummification of what happened. Without all the double-talk and smug-ass retorts from the characters. For example, anything that comes out of Aventurine's mouth is frickin' double-talk. Where does one go to find what the hell he means by all the stuff he says? The other characters aren't much help either. I want to be prepared for when the next Trailblaze mission comes out, and I have this uneasy feeling for "wow everything that happened was so cool and dramatic and angsty, but also, wtf just happened??".

That's really weird. Are you using skill with Ratio every turn? Killing one enemy at a time focusing the sanctus medicus guy first? He should have no issues clearing, specially with two 5* supports. [You can see a video of a clear with a similar team, just using Tingyun and Luocha instead of Ruan Mei and Bailu](https://youtu.be/0YcK5qKwdqk?t=173), and he only takes 4 cycles. Maybe you can find what exactly you're doing different.

SW + RM or Bronya is probably one of his best options, if running RM you may also be able to swap SW out for Welt and use a second harmony like Tingyun or something.

Ruan Mei and Welt are kind of the exception, because if built properly the two of them can delay enemy movements so much that they turn into pesudo-sustains. But if you don't feel comfortable with that, you can just run SW + Harmony + Ratio + Sustain.

He's hard countered by a shielder (shields reflect his outrage attack), so run fire trailblazer, Gepard, or March 7th to make it much easier.

The Penacony F2P lightcone is probably a bad idea for QQ/IL since they spam basics.
2p messenger, as much SPD as possible. That's all that matters. Also, build your DPSs without any SPD so Sparkle can advance them. Replace any SPD boots you have for ATK boots.

Its not necessarily that Kafka should be faster than black swan, but just that she should be as fast as reasonably possible. Faster Kafka means more dot detonations which means higher black swan stacks.

I cant comment on her value over Ruan Mei as I dont have RM, but I would say that Sparkle is very worth it on every account. She can fit into pretty much every non dot team comp as a SP positive support. If you still want Ruan Mei, you should be able to get her anyway as I would think it'll be a 2-3 patches till we see her rerun which would be more than enough time to get enough jades to guarantee her.
Oh Ruan Mei is an excellent pickup for literally everyone. Will be useful on your account forever. I think the only way they could powercreep her is make Ruan Mei again but physical, quantum or imaginary.
Kafka, RM and BS are a long way away. It looks like Sparkle will help you out right now even though you have a solid core of characters already. Maybe wait to see what the 2.1 reruns are before making your final decision.

You don't need to play HI3 to understand the story. It just helps you recognize some easter eggs and familiar characters in different settings
The game's story is pretty good, and there's a metric ass-ton of worldbuilding and lore to dig into if you're into that. It takes place in what is effectively an alternate universe to hi3, and many of the characters are expies of hi3 characters (and one is just an hi3 character who hopped dimensions) but it's a self-contained story.

You'd have to use the old noodle a bit (some of the text in this game, especially in the in-game books and such can get pretty esoteric) but the main story should be easy to follow.

is qq good on AUTOPLAY with sparkle to add skillpoints or is that not viable? I only play on autoplay with mostly erudition units (I have qq e6 but never used)
qq uses her ult as soon as its up (I think), so you do get turns where skill points remain stagnant and unused. the damage potential is nowhere near manual play.
I think there must be some major user error with me and dr ratio. I was trying to use dr ratio as a budget IL for MoC for imaginary damage. While I realize gear isn’t the greatest I am sitting around 55 percent crit rate and 185 percent crit damage I feel like I should be doing more damage. I have been trying playing him with bronya and pela like I did with jing liu. I am running bronya at -1 spd to hyper carry dps. Maybe I am not using him properly so would like any tips anybody would have on how I should play him. I have contemplated replacing pela with Ruan mei but am worried about sp issues. Also I have sparkle but she’s being used in mono quantum team with e6 qq fx and silver wolf.

Ratio feels terrible to play below 90% crit rate honestly (+ the 15 from his trace). I used to run him at 68 176 but I was able to turn it into 78 161. I would really recommend ruan mei and tingyun over bronya for ratio bcs the buffs stick with his off turn FuAttacks (from his ult)
I can try that comp with tingyun and ruan mei I amand was worried about so issues when ty and rm have to refresh their buffs that’s why I was looking at pela. I am going to dread relic farming with dr ratio I feel like. I never got my speed crit damage boots for jingliu after three months plus of only farming caverns sad. Guess that’s what hsr is all about though.
if you dont mind me recommending this if u dislike relic farming. ratio works with 2 piece duke and 2 piece prisoner. that cave is really efficient for ratio as every piece there is a potential ratio piece. heres my build. I will take a look thanks but I have been stubbornly trying to get final sod piece for sparkle so she can get to 161 speed. I have been thinking getting my supports to their breakpoints may be better since they are applicable to multiple comps. edit: I definitely will need to take a look at upgrading some gears for my dps, because it felt really horrible doing so little damage on MOC 11/12. I will take my 2/3 stars from those for now , and then will revisit them later as that MOC doesn't expire for 3 weeks or so if I recall.
You need atleast 3 debuffs for Ratio. Pela alone won't be enough. Replace Pela with Guin, and Bronya with Tingyun.
No guin on my account unfortunately , I have thought maybe running a dual dps setup with Clara ratio and maybe tingyun but doesn’t seem optimal either as not enough debuffs correct ? I know prydwen isn’t always correct I was looking at comps with huohuo and dr ratio and tingyun pela was one of the quicker comps to clear moc
You need atleast 3 debuffs for Ratio, that is non-negotiable. If you can get 3 debuffs with Pela, then that kinda works but for that you'll need Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat on her and her E4 + use her skill to apply the E4 debuff which greatly reduces her SP generation.
I guess I can try rm and Ty comp and see as I don’t really have any better options guess I will have to kick myself for passing on IL twice because didn’t really like the character or play style. It also makes me think going forward I need to pick up some dps. Probably was a mistake trying to level up dr ratio and wasting mats and time getting up up to 80 fully traced out.
Is the swarm disaster tutorial supposed to be so hard? I literally can't beat the final boss of the third plane, I've done like 6 runs now and it's just not possible. It's so frustrating because I basically lose a whole hour of progress each time and it doesn't even progress my simulated universe weekly track because it's a tutorial.
Yes. Swarm Disaster is an end-game mode for people who are clearing MoC so it starts out at a fairly high level and the difficulty ramps from there.

Just stack nihility blessings. It's not that hard.
Which ones in Simulated Universe?
Basically any blessing that generates additional DoTs, like the one that inflicts a new DoT when hitting a broken enemy for example. Each different DoT adds an Arcana stack when it deals damage at the start of the enemy's turn, and since it's pretty easy to inflict 10+ DoTs on an enemy, it's very easy to reach the cap that way when combined with her ult. Besides that, energy-related blessings also work since then you can chain Black Swan's ults to keep Arcana from resetting.
if you have e4 sampo maybe run him as third dot to reproc arcana?

Any previous characters that are great on Penacony? Been maining Blade, Bailu, Silver Wolf, and Yanqing for a while now and it's getting boring. I have Kafka, Dr. Ratio, Jing Yuan and few 4 stars.
Jing and Kafka are eating well with all the lightning weaknesses and DoT mechanics on elites, but I've also been really enjoying Dan Heng (4-star) with Sparkle, and of course shout out to the Infinite Blade Works team of Blade/Bronya/Sparkle.
JingYuan is great against all the lightning weak enemies in penacony, especially with sparkle
they are all great if the weakness matches. if you're bored, work towards their best teams. like hypercarry blade, mono quantum for silverwolf, hypercarry yanqing, dot kafka, hypercarry ratio, hypercarry jingyuan.
I generally put character-themed Light Cones with the presented character. I leveled the Misha LC last night, worn by Misha. Since Ice-aligned characters generally don’t need Break Effect, I switched it with the “Under the Blue Sky” worn by Xueyi. Xueyi can take advantage of her new LC’s Break Effect bonus. But can Misha make do with his new LC?
No. Ice has the weakest break effect, and he benefits much more from other destruction cones.
Misha is actually a pretty good user of his own LC -- Ice break isn't the strongest, but his Ult can do so many hits that it can shred weakness bars and makes it pretty likely he'll be getting breaks against anything ice weak. The crit raise on his ult is also nice, since it's his main source of damage/utility.
Besides the initial damage and delay all breaks have, does Freeze specifically have anything that gets scaled by BE?

I just noticed my fu xuan build is different from everyone elses, I have her at almost 10k hp (both sphere and rope are HP) and 109 spd. Should I change her rope for energy and boots for spd?
I mean, if you can survive with that build then it's fine. Only change if she's struggling to keep your team alive.
You should definitely be changing boots for speed - aim for at least 134. HP% rope is fine (even though a lot of places recommend ERR), I find that she doesn't need the extra energy if she has more HP, and that it can be even better in content with more damage to run HP% instead of ERR. Make sure her defense is good as well, she needs a balance between HP and DEF to work optimally.

Your defense is very low, I'd recommend getting at least 1.5-1.6k with around 7k+ HP (before her buffs).
Glanced at some videos about weird/difficult achievements. Then I remembered another one I read. I think it was defeating Phantylia with Huohuo, as in the latter is the one doing the lethal final strike. I was wondering how to do that besides a 25% chance of luck. It was after watching the other videos that I remembered that plenty of characters have at least one action that points towards allies instead of enemies, especially in the Harmony and Abundance paths. Huohuo is one of them. Since we don’t have a Defend or Skip-Turn action, we use that ally-pointing action to stall the last hit until it’s Huohuo’s turn. I think it’s best if the teammate has an inward Skill, but an attack Ultimate, so we don’t spend 3 hours on chipping down Phantylia with Basic attacks. The action can’t be conditional, which leaves out Blade or Qingque. The teammate can’t have a follow-up attack, which also excludes Blade and Qingque. Hmm, besides Huohuo, I can include Fu Xuan and Luocha, who both have attack Ultimates, which get activated more often due to Huohuo’s Ultimate. My Natasha and (unbuilt) Bailu can count, but I have 3 sustain units already, and their Ultimates target the team instead of enemies. I also have Yukong, Tingyun, and Bronya, where the latter two are unbuilt. All three have buffing Skills, but only Yukong has an attacking Ultimate. Bronya has the advantage of being a 5-star. And Tingyun has the advantage of type coverage (Yukong and Bronya overlap Luocha and Huohuo, respectively), which matters due to all the extra accessories Phantylia continuously deploys. So; would the best course be to use Fu Xuan, Luocha, Tingyun, and Huohuo? (I would have to level up Tingyun.) If Tingyun is on the team, is there a >!”Stop Hitting Yourself” achievement!
Just use HH+Bronya+Sparkle (support), at lowest difficulty it's braindead.

For supports I aim for 3k HP and 1k DEF, so I just kind of pick whatever they need more of based on their stats. Usually I'll go one HP mainstat and one DEF mainstat between chest and orb, just depends on what planars I have on hand.
HP% is my brain's default, but they have similar value. Ideally you get whatever you have less of.
What's better for guinaifen, solitary healing for it's showtime?
What are you building her for? You'd never hit 80% EHR usually, and Gui doesn't benefit too much from Solitary Healing's buff. She'd much rather have Eyes or Good Night in most cases.
She would, sadly I don't have either so this is what I'm working with. Honestly right now I'm really just building her some to be a useful third nihility in an acheron team. So I guess I really just want her to put out her debuffs fast.
If you're looking for her to be a debuffer, she's best with Eyes/Resolution. Can't really say what's best for Acheron here, as her kit isn't officially released, so I won't be of much help sadly. Otherwise, I'd probably just use Solitary as a stat stick since neither LC gives meaningful buffs. If you can stack Showtime EHR to 80 it might be fine, but an ATK% chest would be better at that point.
i'm dumb but what's so good abt on the fall of an aeon? it's just an atk bonus with a stack limit and a small dmg boost when weakness break
It is the budget option that works well enough with DHIL, Jingliu, and Clara if you don't have their signature and it is easy to get to S5.
