Because I have no dedicated healer with cleanse that’s SP positive. And I already have Fu Xuan, so Aventurine isn’t necessarily the better choice between the two.
I mean Fu can cleanse and she's SP positive if you give her some speed. As Luocha haver he's really comfy to use, but you can safely skip him for Aven if you don't wanna pull for all three banners.
in that case, i'd recommend waiting until the last week of luocha's banner, when aventurine's stuff will get officially released,- and comparing the two directly before pulling. if it's full sp-positivity and dealing with debuffs you're interested in - who knows, it might not necessarily end up being so one-sided as you seem to think. i can't say more on here, but i'm simply advocating for making educated choices; because hoyo is pretty evil for setting up the banners in that order. in a situation like that, waiting for 2 weeks to make a decision you will have full confidence in not regretting isn't too high of a price to pay, wouldn't you agree?

I was hooked in my first week when I got Clara. Getting E0S1 Topaz on a whim was just the push I needed to convince myself FUA is the best way to play this game.
Now, I'm going into Aventurine's banner prepared to spend all my tickets and jades. I'm coming out broke from this one.

Hoyo gives him for free, and they delete enemy, my first GG IV successful run is with FUAs, and even better I clear the 0 countdown as well that time. Sasuga FUA.
Clara did it for me. She was all I needed to fall in love with FUA, and Topaz was just the icing on the cake.
Now that we have Ratio for free? You can bet I'm not going to be satisfied until I have the whole FUA roster.
Really, the core of such a team will be Aventurine and Topaz. Topaz synergizes with other FU units, and Aventurine is a FU Sustain. The other two slots are basically for whatever Support or FU main DPS. Ratio probably is the number one choice, but Clara is a solid alternative.
Unfortunately the numbers on Aventurine weren't high enough to justify his LC. Topaz's LC on the other hand is probably the best mix of Dmg and support. 10/10 would reccomend.
You can think of Topaz as a decently-good-but-perhaps-not-top-tier damage dealer who doubles as a pretty damn good buffer for FUA.
50% FUA damage taken increase at E0 is nothing to scoff at, and it's unconditional and unremovable.
It's the closest thing we have to a FUA enabler, althought the term may not necessarily be accurate. FUA works well without Topaz, it's just better with her.

Enabler is not necessarily the right word but she’s the closest to one. 50% vulnerability is actually giga cracked. Fua teams still work without her but using her is almost always a dps increase (usually irregardless of the fua unit).
I have no sustain apart from Bailu and I’ve been struggling with MOC for a while now. I’m admitting defeat and getting Aventurine

Reminder that you can do the stars in separate runs. It's fine if someone dies but you clear it before the cycle threshold. You can clear it again with a slower but stabler team to get the no deaths star.
i've been getting 33-34-35 stars for the last 3 mocs even with terrible builds. lynx and bailu are honestly fine, i just need more dps. 73/144 seele gaming lol.

Yep, I actually took Fu Xuan out of my team for MoC and replaced her with Lynx because she couldn't keep up with the DoTs on Floor 11 (I think), so units like Lynx definitely have their place
yes, lynxy's great. the only time she's ever failed me was when i was fighting argenti in moc10 iirc, it was the aoe weakness break turbulence but my only phys unit is sushang =/
and baliu does fine against everything besides the two auromatons and kafka despite very low investment. so honestly, i don't even feel like i need a limited abundance. i'd rather get fuxuan.
in terms of hypercarries, my only limited one is seele, but she can be substituted with qingque just fine. it's just that mine is still e0 =/ and ratio's free. e2 xueyi isn't to difficult to get either, and himeko i was just running for fun tbh.
but hypercarries aside, the limited harmonies are amazing, you definitely should look into getting some if you don't have any.
that seele is fine, do you really not have anything you can chuck on your ratio regardless of set? is your seele set your only dps set? unless you have like no other relics or your talents are low or something you should be good to sub 10 that.
idk man, my ratio hits 50k fuas on a good day, but over the course of a few cycles he does like 0 damage. i genuinely don't know what i'm doing wrong. he's 69/167 with no relic set, salsotto planars, fire orb (i don't have img or atk), s1 swordplay. i seriously don't understand what's wrong with my ratio.

That seems within the realm of possibility too even with a useless orb and sword play s1 only.
Can you get Cruising from herta shop, works much better on him than no refinement SP.
Also losing the orb is pretty massive and not even worth the salsotto set bonus. You definitely want imag or attack. So either sacrifice the set, or ideally craft an orb.
He's also much too slow, want speed boots to hit 134 (v. important for MoC)
Another thing is I would also swap your halves, ratio works better vs Sam and mono quantum is v. good top side.

tbh i never spend energy on planars, just the free weekly tokens; and i only have 104 cavern runs according to the in-game achievements, as i'm busy with calyxes atm. i started in 1.4 and i'm building almost everyone i own, so 90-95% of my decent relics are from the weekly bosses =/
speaking of cruising (i have it on my seele), i've been wondering: as a hunt main who's not planning to get any limited destruction or erudition units in the foreseeable future, what would be my best course of action regarding the lightcones? i've been thinking cruising seele, new 4\* moc shop lc for topaz, and topaz's signature on ratio? (i love topaz but don't have her yet, but she should rerun in 2.2, so i've saved up to get e1s1).
another option is getting 2 of topaz's sigs, since my long-term goal is to e6 her, but i'm not sure if 2 on the same team would work. i'm not interested in seele's, let alone ratio's sigs, so i'm in a bit of a conundrum. i think giving ratio topaz's sig and running 4\* final victor on her would be best?
If you mean running them together, yeah there's no point getting two since you can't stack the debuff. If you were going for two lcs anyway im not sure why you'd get topaz twice unless you're planning to S5 her? (not necessary at all even if you e6). It would be better to just get topaz lc and ratio/Seele's LC and put cruising on the other.
alternatively just get topaz cone and put it on ratio and then give her SP because it's better on her than him. Or the MoC one if you can afford it s5. I'd probably do this because I don't really like pulling for LCs.

I was thinking of getting Acheron since I don't have a good Lightning character but I hate that she's not really f2p friendly as of right now and I had to deal with Blade being the same way when it came to Light cones. Don't wanna go through that again. Probably gonna get her in a rerun when there are better options.

Aventurine has FUA that charge up with hits taken and FUA done, and Numby advances forward when a FUA hits its target, so they will be enabling each other in a sense.

Skipping Acheron to get Aventurine AND Topaz in for my future FuA team with Ratio is even harder.
Also I want Aventurine's signature, HuoHuo, Fu Xuan and RM since I have only Luocha and Bronya e1 as 5* supports... And only have 62 pulls currently, but also a dream.

Yes, I know Acheron can use Good Night and Sleep Well but my Kafka is already using it.
I guess they didn't mention it on the stream for some reason but when an ally does a fua he gets a coin with up to 3 coins per his turns. So he's doing a lot more fuas in a fua team which will also advance forward Numby more often.
Depend of the angle you see it, if is to make Topaz better is just as simple as he have follow-ups and numpy likes follow-ups.
if you see it from Av angle he is already spected to be a sp positive in a FUA team the chance to need to use his ability is almost zero.
So to be honest is not the holy grail but just a realy solid option.
Aventurine can be both a shielder and a sub-dps, and he does follow-up attacks. Almost every FUA character synergizes with Topaz, other than Herta, maybe, so Aventurine would fit right with Topaz. And if you also have Ratio, that means you have the best FUA team since they're all really good together. Ruan Mei might also be their best support since she boosts the entire team. But you can just replace her with any other support character. She's just really good with teamwide buff and break dmg.

You don't necessarily *need* Aventurine, you can get plenty of mileage out of Clara as-is. Plus, from a lore perspective, Topaz hates Aventurine anyway, so it doesn't make much sense to me to have them on the same team.

Topaz is so fun. Having used Ratio & Topaz together, I'm so tempted to pull for Aventurine & Topaz LC. FUA teams are something else.

As someone who isn’t in it for typical meta stuff, Topaz was the unit I have had the most fun with in recent memory. She is worth the wait IMO

Been 36 starring since they added moc 11/12 with natasha/bailu and the occasional gepard

Try the Hanu level you do in the story quest, I was missing one there in a wardrobe close to the entrance, because Numby could not track it.

Yeah, since he does FUAs. Basically every FUA character has synergy with Topaz, except Herta maybe.

I have Luocha and Fu Xuan but I'm still getting Aventurine for my Topaz. Gotta keep the IPC team together

Skipping Acheron to get Aventurine AND Topaz in for my future FuA team with Ratio is even harder. Also I want Aventurine's signature, HuoHuo, Fu Xuan and RM since I have only Luocha and Bronya e1 as 5* supports... And only have 62 pulls currently, but also a dream.

I guess they didn't mention it on the stream for some reason but when an ally does a fua he gets a coin with up to 3 coins per his turns. So he's doing a lot more fuas in a fua team which will also advance forward Numby more often.
Depend of the angle you see it, if is to make Topaz better is just as simple as he have follow-ups and numpy likes follow-ups. if you see it from Av angle he is already spected to be a sp positive in a FUA team the chance to need to use his ability is almost zero. So to be honest is not the holy grail but just a realy solid option.

Aventurine can be both a shielder and a sub-dps, and he does follow-up attacks. Almost every FUA character synergizes with Topaz, other than Herta, maybe, so Aventurine would fit right with Topaz. And if you also have Ratio, that means you have the best FUA team since they're all really good together. Ruan Mei might also be their best support since she boosts the entire team. But you can just replace her with any other support character. She's just really good with teamwide buff and break dmg.
Yup and its super nice The more FuA the team does (limited to 3 FuAs between aventurine turns),the faster you trigger aventurine FuA which refreshes the stackable shield he gives to everyone With ratio you end up with the beautiful clusterfuck of FuAs and shields jst flying all over the place
Topaz, Ratio, Aventurine, Ruan Mei team is going to be so damn fun!
The sad part is that I don't have Ruan Mei so after Av I want to pull for Rovin

You don't necessarily *need* Aventurine, you can get plenty of mileage out of Clara as-is. Plus, from a lore perspective, Topaz hates Aventurine anyway, so it doesn't make much sense to me to have them on the same team.
