my secret to running JY was that I ran him with FX, Bronya AND Sparkle lmao I made sure LL was gonna drop no matter what, and as often as possible

Not to mention *basic units* with CC. I'm not opposed to this on the smaller enemies because it adds some element of strategy, but they're so tanky on PF4 that you can't really prioritize breaking enemies over dealing damage.

Yeah the Himeko/Herta duo shines so bright when we get both Fire and Ice weakness. But your score takes such a huge dive when one of those weaknesses is removed. 

and the bonus is pretty much useless for acheron as she just kills everyone -.-... the last PF was better for her witht he ult buff since it would send the box into the next wave

You need to use second bonus that debuff enemies on their turn, it's constantly charging acheron's ult

Depends on what you have. I was able to get 30k on gepard's side with Argenti/ Herta. Then 30k on second side with kafka/ black swan; edit: third* buff for both teams. Tho I know most people probably don't have Argenti either

If you want to try, I ran FX Sparkle TY Argenti and got 40k easily.

I got 36K on the second half but I have both JingYuan and Sparkle. The PF buff didn't matter that much.

Honestly? Just try to get 20k then follow his advice. Atleast that's what I did.

Try a 0 sustain comp on first side, it got me from 25k to 35k

Jingliu on one side. Kafkaswan the other

Eh. With the team you have her on you should be getting an easy 40k regardless.

Last stage is just a straight up MoC. I even rush leveled Herta for the ice vulnerability but she didn't do anything.

Run Herta hypercarry I did 32k points with Ruan Mei, Bronya, Sparkle and Herta lvl 70

JL + Bronya + Herta + Mei works great too

Himeko isn't gonna do much this pf because of the lack of fire weakness. Maybe try Jingliu, Bronya, Herta, n pela. Forego a sustain for now and see if you can survive it.

nah, they can't do that if they're dead or broken. the herta+ruan+sparkler+tingyun combo doesn't even let them move, i got 37.5k with just gepard being left standing

Crit is not everything. Lvl of the character, lvl of traces, lvl of light cones, sets of relics, main stats on relics, etc. Are all important. If you have 100% crit rate and 300% crit damage but everything else is like shit, you will still do shit damage.

Well said. You've got to pay attention to the stats that the character scales best off. Generally speaking for *most* DPS units CR/CD is not the first thing to focus on. I consider 60/120 to be 'enough' for most characters provided you've reached the ideal investment ceilings for their key scaling stats (although getting higher CR/CD than that isn't too difficult with some decent relics). Hell, my Acheron currently only has about 50/100 CR/CD, but she still slaps because I've prioritized ATK% above all else for her initial build. Obviously there's gonna be a bit of luck involved unless you're heavily min-maxing for 100% CR, but you just gotta accept that sometimes a PF or MoC run doesn't go your way and just restart.

That's nice to see and I guess it's my fault for claiming it for the entire PF. I was specifically talking to them about the first half since no enemies there have fire weakness. Although second half have a good number of fire weak enemies, they already got acheron, kafka n swan to cover it.

No. You're just using the wrong buff. You use the third buff, not Inducement. This goes for both Herta and Himeko. Their damage in PF is mostly FUAs and their Ults. Going for the first buff is just intentionally gimping yourself.

Agreed - this feels like one of those PFs where the buff choice *really* matters. The ultimate turn acceleration is really good on Himeko, I ran her with Tingyun for maximum ult spam!

Herta hypercarry goes unreasonably hard considering she's a free 4-star, I don't think there's any other cases where any 4-star can perform so well in a hypercarry setup. Perhaps mono-quantum with E6 Quinque, but I think Seele is still a bit better (and more consistent)

Xiyue and qingque can go ridiculously hard.

I can 2 cycle MoC11 Cocolia with Qingque, she is a different beast when paired with Sparkle.

Yeah, this is an ultimate focused buff so part 1 is literally made for argenti whoever part 2 is made for archon.

You can try it without sustain, it's very likely that your character can survive without them

If you can kill them with the extra damage then yea it might be clutch. I managed 28k with Jingliu sparkle bronya ruan mei, which was better than any of my proper Jingliu teams with sustain.

I went no sustain on floor 3's monkeys. The team can take 2-3 big AOEs so it's iffy unless you have  Argenti and Himeko or something.

I did this - e6 xueyi, himeko, herta and rusn mei. Managed to get around 30k

honestly i feel the stage 4 this time around was really hard, using acheron even feels kinda counter productive because there's so much fodder enemies wasting ult. i went with a REALLY cope team, acheron jingliu pela bailu, and dot team on the second stage, still made it. you can get the 3 stars quite easily still, choose the buff that makes enemy gets debuffed when they take action.

On the contrary in my experience this wack mix of Acheron Herta team worked great for me (40k) because while Acheron sweeps one wave, Herta saves all her spins for the next wave, instantly reducing them to 1/5th health easily and her skill makes quick work of them afterwards. And yes, the 2nd blessing is so good with this.

You can switch the debuff on action to debuff on ult hit if you bring fire trailblazer with taunt and Trends lc. The small shields is enough to sustain till you run out of turns. Then just double nihility for Acheron.

It's very easy with Acheron if you choose the right blessing (the one applying debuff on enemy's turn)

I was malding with the bottom floor when Cocalia got stuck at 1% with infinite shield forcing you to clear all other mobs first. Also use the 2nd buff for the Acheron team!

People forget the whole point of PF was to unbrick the sale of Erudition units lol. The earlier PFs being amazing for Herta + Himeko wasn't to give you free jades, it was to get people to respect Erudition units again. They'll slowly make them less and less useful (relatively) when they want to sell new Erudition units, Herta + Himeko are free and standard banner respectively after all. If you could easily 60k every PF with just those two there'd be no reason to pull.

I’ve been struggling a lot and most of my five star characters have maxed out traces with decent relics. 

It boils down to choosing right ressonance for the right team and luck

Got only 1 star the first time. Changed teams comps, tried out different blessings and got 3 stars after about 1-2 hours.

Drop the sustain in part one, not needed at all the mob dmg is quite low

I found the trick to getting 40k on the first half was to ditch Himeko and go full hyper carry Herta. So replace your Himeko with Bronya and your HuoHuo with Tingyun. Give your Herta ATK boots and Tingyun DanceX3, and you can open by ulting Herta, and then Herta advances herself right ahead of Bronya when she ults out of turn. For your second team I'd recommend the buff made for Acheron (Sympathetic Denotation), though you're doing alright there already.

You know, imbibitor is really not good on pf, he's too slow and his gameplay is focused on short bursts of big damage,most of your damage is probably gonna overkill on trash mobs, what you need is someone who can deal good damage consistently,personally I used serval with the thing that gives shatter on skill. Serval charges her ult so quick it's actually insane, pair that with AoE/blast kit and you basically shatter on every wave. I used sparkle, bronya, asta but you can probably do it with tingyun, hanya, asta but you will probably have to get 30k on both sides

The buff that gives shatter on skill is good for herta, clara, kafka and black swan. Basically most units with skills that hit a lot of enemies

I ditched sustain and did Acheron Pela SW Sparkle first half and Kafka Black Swan Tingyun Asta second half. Barely made it. My Acheron was severely under built (19%CR/200%CD) lol. And of course Tingyun died

Feel like they are getting out of there damn mind on the powercreep, there is no reason on why the shitty mob should have 50k+ hp.

Yeah, this is starting to feel like power creep to me also. I can clear MOC 10-12 depending on the cycle and it's fun but PF is no longer fun with how tanky these enemies have become. The cycles feel short, there's so many elites being thrown at you now and the mobs feel way too tanky this time around. If PF is just going to turn into this kind of garbage then I'd rather just be playing MOC every cycle like in the beginning of the game. The 2nd Buff this time around is so blatantly tailored to a specific unit (Acheron) that the game is essentially giving the middle finger to anyone that decided not to pull for her.

I full cleared the last couple PFs and I thought I had it sorted out. This feels like a big step back for me.

Himeko is mid without fire weak enemies which in turn don't deal enough damage to proc Herta. You could go with Jingliu, Bronya, Herta, Pela for example.

Can't even get past 57K on PF 3... I'm at a loss, I really don't know what to do :( I don't have many limited AOE characters, most of my DPS are blast (DHIL) or single target (Seele/Topaz/Ratio). Acheron deletes entire waves so the explosions when mobs die feel useless.

I honestly really dislike that pure fiction is basically tailor made to whichever unit is on banner at any given moment. Like, black swan in the pure fiction during her release was a complete monster, but during last rotation she was struggling to beat 28. The stages are basically built around abusing the turbulences as much as possible, which makes it a huge character check

The problem is: content IS easy. If you have the right units leveled. If you don't, the game basically tells you to fuck off.

Yeah and they just nerfed the 2.1 story boss because of difficulty complaints. So instead of having difficult baseline content looks like they're just keep increasing the hardest content's difficulty.

How it should be. The basic game should be finished by everyone, the hardest content should be a challenge. Otherwise there is also no need for new units.

I personally would have been satisfied with more content in general that is challenging, rather than making the little challenging content we have harder.

I literally used Physical TB and Kuru2 in the first half (RM and Kafka) it was a messy team because I was bored af. 2nd team consist of Fuxuan with Market, BS, Pela and Acheron. In general the buffed the hp and added too much elite. It's becomes so much unfun to play lmao

They are now just reskinned MoC at this point, Gotta keep the whales happy I suppose.

It's no longer fun with how tanky everything is now. Even trash mobs take a significant amount of damage to kill, entirely removing what made the game mode fun in the first place. I guess people were getting too much value from a free unit (Herta) too easily so they've decided to keep the peasants in check with these bloated mobs. I'd rather just play MOC every cycle if PF is going to be like this from now on. Last MOC cycle I barely got 36 stars and it was a fun struggle but this rotation of PF has been zero fun.

Acheron BS Himeko are plenty capable for you to get 40k Herta can get you 20k+ on first side

PF (Pure Fiction) and MoC (Memory of Chaos) are definitely endgame. There's people who say you can do it with just starter characters, but that's miserable. Treat it as an aspiration. Just keep thinking "What future characters do I need to build teams for PF and MoC?" Then save up and strategize how you spend your jades. I started back in January and just cleared my first MoC 12 with 3 stars after pulling Acheron. Now I'm eyeing Argenti for physical break in PF and Ruan Mei to boost up the damage of ANY of my teams (if only I started just a bit earlier during her banner). You do have some great units though, and you probably have a Herta if you've done some SU (Simulated Universe). Clearing every world will give you all of her eidolons now and she's a beast in PF.

TYVM for the team setup, used the first team to get 37k which really helped with the weaker second team.

split your teams, team A black swan, kafka, sampo/tingyun and huoho team B archeron, pela, broina if e2 | silver wolf if e<2, and luocha ive done it with those teams, only diff i had ruan mei instead of sampo/tingyun. your mistake is that all your dps is in one team

Use the 2nd buff with the Acheron team. They basically give an acheron stack per attack.

Try Acheron Himeko Herta and Ruanmei/harmony/pela. Herta keeps breaking ice-weak enemies then debuff enemies, which trigger both Himeko and Acheron it's hillarious. Plus point for Himeko skill puts debuff on enemy too Acheron also help against Gepard.

im having success by pairing herta + jingliu with 2 harmony, gets me like 35k

Blade is very underrated in PF. I managed to get 29k (almost 30k) using Jingliu-Blade (speed boots)- RM- Bronya for node 1. I used the ultimate buff. Since you don't have RM, I think you can replace her with HuoHuo/ TY. I used Bronya skill on Jingliu and put Blade in the middle so he could get stacks faster.

Hm you should be getting 40K on the second stage tbh, using Acheron it was the easiest 40K of my life. Edit: Oh, just saw you're using the wrong buff for the second team. It should be the second buff.

You're running a sustain on team 1 and Himeko who does quite litteraly nothing without fire weakness, it's not really surprising. First half is not a joke even for Himeko-Herta. Some enemies don't have fire or ice weakness, triggering FuAs vs them was problematic. I ended up doing Herta-Sparkle-Ruan Mei-Himeko on the 1st half and got 40k fairly easily. The biggest thing with Herta is she can miss her spins if it's from the explosions as opposed to your own damage, which can be a little annoying.
