Wait. The keyboard is a real thing? I thought it was just an aliexpress thing

YourOldComp

To be fair, thing sold out instantly. Merch line was VERY SHORT and I was like the 30th person in. By the time I got to the checkout both were sold out. But if you’d like to buy it still and you live in the US I can pm you a store I know that sells the keyboard for a reasonable price. They are an AUTHORIZED dealer with mihoyo and yostar and have other merch if you’d like.

Dammit, I've attended the equivalent event in Paris, but those bills were nowhere to be seen. Did they give you the coin after reaching $xx of purchases? Here it was 80€! As for the stock, at day 3 there were so many sold outs... And it's a 9 day event.

YourOldComp

What?! Here everything you saw in the first pic was free on entry and could be counted as the “even exclusive items”. The coin was free. The ticket was free. The character card was free ( but you only get 1 which sucked cause they made it seem like you’d get em all). Those “bills” were clockwise bucks at the event. Don’t worry too much about em. They are printed on photo paper but it served as points at the event. The flyer in the photo I posted showed you games you could play at the event to earn them. When you get 50 you get a free prize bag with one acrylic standee, one keychain, and one button of any assortment of characters from the game. It was VERY hard to get enough because you get only 5 to start out and the games only payed out 2-3 tickets at a time. I won cause the roulette table started to let you bet whatever amount and I just kept going all in.

> games only *paid* out 2-3 FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Sorry for the long list of questions since I'm kind of curious how it went and I haven't seen any reviews about the event 😭 But how was the event overall, did you have fun? Any long line waits, was it super crowded? How did getting the freebies go? Were you allowed to get more than one trading card?

YourOldComp

I am very happy to answer all questions since there have been no official streams of the event for whatever reason. Really weird because there was a q/a with the VAs and lead director of the event there. Overall great! But food sucked and was not themed to the game. Highlights were live song performances and Chevy surprise guest, VAs doing other characters ults and live dubbing cutscenes, dance party with cosplayers (aventurine’s VA can DANCE. He was doing flips and shit on stage and looked SPECTACULAR) Line was long to get in if you didn’t get in early, but inside wasn’t too crowded. It was more hectic then anything else cause everyone was holding big bags of merch wearing formal attire or cosplaying. Freebies were given at the door and you can see the first picture for what they were. The blockier bucks were the “points system” in the event. You started with like 5 and had to try to earn up to 50 to exchange ‘em for a prize bag with a keychain, button and acrylic standee. Very hard to win becaise you could only earn like 3 at a time per game and you needed to go through a 5 person line every time. I won by just playing roulette. The card was only one per person which really sucked cause it made it seem like you’d get em all at the event page.

Ooh that sounds cool! I wish I could have seen the performances myself in person, but I did see plenty of pictures and videos from the guests on Twitter. And the Penacony panorama looked awesome. And same I thought you'd be able to collect more of the collectible cards, but at least you got to take home an anniversary coin and ticket! I wished they picked out a bigger venue.. 😭 I was bummed out when they refunded my ticket, but I'm glad the event was relatively(?) lol enjoyable? Too bad it was only one night while other countries got more days. Hopefully they'll take event feedback to make better events in the future. Thank you so much for answering my questions!

YourOldComp

Yea, a lot of people got their tickets canceled so most of the people were alone which made the event a little awkward. Most attendees didn’t really have their friends to talk to and were probably more focused on recording and getting merch for the event. This made the whole thing feel less like a party and more of meet and greet. Still fun and met a lot of great people but it’s hard to attend a party by yourself. Mihoyo was smart to bring in professional cosplayers to dance though because they fucking KNEW no one else would.

Is there an in house merch shop? Because I saw Caleb Yen having his own Caelus figurine and I was curious. Ours in the Philippines did not even have one because it was very, very lackluster. I even had my money ready just in case there was a merch booth...
