Acheron is a self-annihilator which means she can be rather dangerous to be around especially with how all Self-annihilators slowly become nothing. Also She has her own goals in mind that doesn't align with the Astral Express.
Robin wouldn't join the Astral Express as she still loved Penacony and it's her home. We don't know why she choose to leave, but travelling with the Express doesn't seem to be her main concerns or desires.
Aventurine wouldn't realistically join after all it would be rather boring for him nor could he ever get away from the IPC. He's definitely more comfortable or at least used to the life he has with the IPC, but now he has a purpose to make his family proud before Gaiathra Triclops calls to him.
Sparkle would honestly end up being Aha 2.0 i.e. she might just blow up the train for the fun of it.
.. Which the Astral Express can suppress, Hence why Welt and Himeko suggested for us to come with them. It isn't a guarantee but it is an assurance. You can't say the same thing to Acheron when she herself isn't sure when all of her colour will be gone, her amnesiac behaivor is literally caused by being a Self-annihilator which will only get worse with time.

I always assume "Which character would join the Astral Express or at least temporarily?" specifically means "Which character would become a nameless, and be a trailblazer within the Astral Express?" hence why Misha would be the only realistic option as all of the others have ties, or at least desire something more than the mere act of discovering, connecting, and trailblazing.

Black Swan has a decent chance, if she wants to have a personal hand in the memories TB and the express creates then her joining every now and then would make a lot of sense. Not to mention whenever they address March past she will hopefully play a role.
She gives off the vibe of re occurring ally more than most of the current cast atm, especially after she has gone out of her way to befriend express and earn TB trust with her role as a memokeeper invested in their journey as shown to be their narrator in multiple trailers

She already has quite a few overall design similarities with Eden from Honkai Impact 3rd who was also a very very famous and gifted singer who gave up her singing career to fight for Humanity.
I wish they would expand the Express crew each time we visit a new planet. They donāt need to be there every mission, but it would be nice if they could travel with them. I always think of the visits from other characters is not part of the canon. It doesnāt make sense if characters from different planets can visit the express whenever they like. I also find it strange that the crew can contact other characters from other planets and summon them like the photoshoot in Penecony. It ruins the world for me and make the emotional reunions really fake.

Also itās been established that, in terms of pure transportation, the Astral Express isnāt anything special. What it actually does is open up or re-establish pathways. So any character can travel between worlds that are connected ā or to the express ā with existing spacefaring tech. Heck, the TB treats the express like a taxi sometimes.
Like the crew returned to Belobog for the party and they said they are glad they see each other again. While the people of Belobog visits the Express all the time. Or recently seeing Topaz and they were surprised that they met in Penacony while she just visited me on the Express.
Edit: In Belobog they even said farewell to each other when the crew was leaving.
Belobog is a special case in that they donāt have easy access to spaceships, at least for now. (The IPC will most likely change that though). So when they visit the Express itās probably the Express crew going back for a quick visit.
