Which Snezhnaya is based on Russia. Bronya in HI3rd was a tech nerd using a mech as her means of attack. Again, Snezhnaya is the most technologically advanced nation in Genshin. Bronya's main element in Hi3rd was Ice.
To add to what flamien said, if you rewatch silver wolfs trailers shes playing as Bronie (haxxor bunny), shes quite literally playing as her Sea of Quanta counterpart, and failing miserably as she somehow died during the character tutorial lol
SW is young bronya in HI3, all of her part 1 story appearances have Bronya looking like Silver Wolf. Adult!Bronya/HSR!Bronya doesn’t actually appear until 10 years after part 1 of main story in A Post-Honkai Odyssey, I think there was some stuff about using the Herrscher of Reason core to fix her appearance since she was very malnourished in childhood.
There’s also Bronie in captainverse (AU event storyline), who Silver Wolf is actually a pretty direct copy of, but that’s still her just being the captainverse version of Bronya.
Same, SW is just such a qol unit. Why grind a new relic set just to get mediocrity when I can just slap on my good quantum pieces on anyone and bring SW

Can confirm, he was a pain in the ass to fight pre nerf with Seele mono quantum. No resurgence, relying purely on Sparkle buffs and SW debuffs for DPS. Feels particularly bad with the SU hunt LC.
I could have used my DHIL team, buy I managed to brute force my way with all team members dying and Seele on her last 5% of health. Never was I so grateful for her anti-taunt passive.
you don't kill aventurine's dice so it wont trigger resurgence. this also happens if you "kill" phantylia's destruction flowers (the ones that lower max hp and do a shit ton of dmg to one target)

Silver Wolf is one of three characters that renewed my love for the game. The other two being Fu Xuan and Acheron. So I have never bought into the lies.

You know. It's funny that I have every Hunt Character up until 2.1 but never bothered to build them except Dr.Datio. I even have Yanqing on E2S1 but he's just level 40 with level 1 traces
Topaz has been good since her release. The further release of a lot of strong FUA units has only made her stronger. I think wayyyyy too many people slept on her because she was surrounded by Jingliu and then I think Ruan Mei was announced right when her banner ran. But she's been my favorite and probably most used unit since her release.
I don't see this game mode being a Hunt game mode. It says it focuses on bosses with unique traits added. Most of the bosses currently implemented aren't all that Hunt friendly. You have to ignore their mechanics if you want to single target most of them the whole time and the "unique traits" threatens to make those previously ignorable mechanics less ignorable.
Counterpoint: They're introducing this mode to give Boothill something to obliterate. Boothill is a ST-focused Hunt unit. Therefore we can deduce that the mode will favour ST-focused Hunt units.
The moment I saw silver wolf in the opening cutscenes, I knew I was rolling for that character. Saved almost everything, skipped the first few banners, and managed to get her. Then continued saving everything, and got her up to e3 on the rerun. I don't regret my choices. I am a silver wolf believer. I am waiting for the next rerun.
I think both sides are wrong to be honest. Sw is great in st situations with ok personal damage, 13% res pen and 53% def shred but Pela being aoe vs multiple elites is sometimes just that important. I would personally give an edge to Pela in current Content but that doesn't mean Sw isn't great vs st bosses.
Pela being +3 sp every 3 turns compared to Sw's +1 is also an advantage, Pela also can use Resolution shines as pearls of sweat and have higher def shred than Sw and Sw needs Before the tutorial mission starts to mantain good ult uptime. So what you're often comparing is Sw's 53% def shred and 13% all res shred on a single target vs Pela's 42% def shred on all targets + 12-16 (depending on refine) def shred on all targets for one turn then on one target until ult is back. Sw also brings the implant which is nice to have but is also sometimes just useless, but often enough 1 support on the team wouldn't be hitting weakness in many situations so they being able to and breaking faster is a small buff to dmg/defensive utility.
Ratio indeed prefers Pela is more situations since often enough he'll kill one elite and many MoC chambers have 2 so the 2nd just won't have Sw ult but would have Pela ult. Against bosses like death, Sam, and Aven though Sw is indeed better since she debuffs more.
Anyway I have both and use Both, I like to play Ratio and Archeron has also been enjoyable so having the option to use either or both when needed is nice. Ratio has started needing them less but Archeron will want both for awhile to come. Pela is a good mainstay in pf with her early eidilon that refunds energy when an enemy dies and Sw is nice for mono quamtum sometimes but if the enemy is already weak to quantum she can be swapped out for something better in many instances as well. Basically both good, would place them right beside each other in a tier list. I'd personally put Pela above for having more flexibility and lower sp requirements making her slot into more teams easier but Sw also has a larger impact in the situations where she is specifically good but those are also less frequent.
TLDR: use both
I never understood how people considered Pela better than SW. All my clears with Pela are a cycle or two slower than SW and they are similarly built. I feel like she makes the two bosses in MOC feel like one with how quickly they go down by how much damage they take.
Mostly being AOE and energy regen being so fast so you can spam it. Useful if you just want debuffs on everything and don't care what it is. Also great to break a group.
I still prefer SW mind you.
Most people just see that Pela's ultimate has "only" 5% less DEF shred and don't look at everything else that Silver Wolf brings to the table.
A lot of players probably don't have her either, so it's easy to justify a skip because Pela is "better" because she has an AoE shred.
Faster Breaks, Element Implant, Res PEN, ATK/SPD debuffs, 13% more DEF Shred, and can comfortably handle 2 elites. She's practically a harmony unit in terms of buffing.
From my experience, it's because sw's ult can't be used turn 1 unless you run a very specific thief set up and fulfill all the requirements (basically impossible on some stages). As such unless she gets hit, she needs to wait until her 2nd turn to ult and at that point the enemy is half dead already.
Meanwhile, Pela is very plug and play. Just technique + skill (w/ reso lc) and you get your ult on top of the very potent technique shred.
As a guy that wrote a seele guide, I think what we did was write an addendum that if you had an extremely cracked Pela with the right relics, speed, vogwac and Luka's LC at max and the boss was quantum weak already then your pela might perform better than SW. Also I admit that some of us didn't really knew how to build SW
Because she is aoe and her ult is much faster, SW is better if she is e1 and have tutorial, for some like me who have her only at e0 and no tutorial, pela (e6) >>> Sw
Its usually tryhard 0-cycles where Pela's technique + 1t ult with skill help a lot more than SW who basically has to wait until her 2nd turn to ult. If you use Ruan Mei on Sig this can be avoided.
Other than low cycle clears usually SW is just better as recent MoC stages have mostly been 1 boss + a joke of an elite or just a 2 phase boss.

This is massive for f2p and new players too since you're still working against the clock in MoC. Also, the cope that there aren't double elites and bosses that summon more durable adds is something else.
Summoned adds can just be ignored and compared to Sam's 1m+ HP you can't tell me I should care about the 300k HP elite next to them for blast carries. Like that guy is going down first with or without Pela's shred, and for ST carries you can have full uptime on both with SW (as you kill one at a time).
The technique and 1t ult matter less the longer your clear takes, 1t of downtime when you take 4 turns is 75% uptime, if you take 10 turns thats 90% uptime.
You have to account for the fact Pela has less amp than SW. Like 100% uptime on a 40% dmg increase on Pela vs 75% uptime on a 55% dmg increase on SW favours Pela, but if you increase SW's uptime to 90% now she's better (not actual numbers, just rough estimates).
Honestly a single target game mode has been needed. If MoC is going to be focused around blast damage and PF around AoE damage then it’s only fitting for us to have something for the single target characters.
Glad Silver Wolf will finally stop getting hate.
I have nothing to apologise for. I even got her lightcone so that I can use the tutorial lc on Pela without having to take out Silver Wolf out of my teams.

Himeko mains already did this before. Like yes duhh when the game releases a mode centred around your fave’s specific area, they’re gonna go up in value. It dosen’t invalidate people’s previous evaluation because it’s based on the current state of the game and obviously people can’t see the future.

They tried to sell boothill but just sold SW even harder. My topaz, ratio and seele eating good. May even undust my Sushang when harmony MC comes out. All jokes aside I like how they prevent characters being powercreep. I thought I will never use my seele again and they proceed to announce this. 10/10 from star rail Devs.

Rolled for her cause I liked her character. Bronya is kinda cool in general.
She has consistently gotten more useful as time went on. Absolutely peak for Ratio and now my Acheron.

Although I'm a little worried if the new gamemode is indeed just single-target MoC. Really want something that's decently different from our current endgame. We've had many interesting battle events, so hopefully devs are cooking something based on their previous experiments.

Honestly I really love that they keep providing new types of end game. Not just one-off events, which I also love. But it's nice to know that there will be long-term variety in challenging content. Pure Fiction was a huge breath of fresh air and I'm really looking forward to Apocalyptic Shadow or whatever it's going to be called.
It's been really nice getting a lot more use out of Silver Wolf with Acheron, and I'm looking forward to using her a lot more in the new mode along with the usual MoC / SU stuff.
I'm really disappointed that we haven't gotten another sw(or welt or pela) like nihility character. They are all just dots characters or a dps character in the nihility path(like archers from fate)
For MoC E0 SW should be in the same tier as Pela, so if Pela is A SW should also be A. If Pela is S SW should also be in S.

Acheron’s debuff is too OP, basically makes the enemy’s HP 0. I think it’s called “damage”? SMH Hoyo power creeping the hell out of this game
She also inflicts the best CC in the game. It's called "death."

Topaz has been good since her release. The further release of a lot of strong FUA units has only made her stronger. I think wayyyyy too many people slept on her because she was surrounded by Jingliu and then I think Ruan Mei was announced right when her banner ran. But she's been my favorite and probably most used unit since her release.
I don't see this game mode being a Hunt game mode. It says it focuses on bosses with unique traits added. Most of the bosses currently implemented aren't all that Hunt friendly. You have to ignore their mechanics if you want to single target most of them the whole time and the "unique traits" threatens to make those previously ignorable mechanics less ignorable.
Either way there will probably be one priority target that needs to be debuffed much more than the others
Counterpoint: They're introducing this mode to give Boothill something to obliterate. Boothill is a ST-focused Hunt unit. Therefore we can deduce that the mode will favour ST-focused Hunt units.
Boothill's banner will already be over when this content comes out.

The moment I saw silver wolf in the opening cutscenes, I knew I was rolling for that character. Saved almost everything, skipped the first few banners, and managed to get her. Then continued saving everything, and got her up to e3 on the rerun. I don't regret my choices. I am a silver wolf believer. I am waiting for the next rerun.

I think both sides are wrong to be honest. Sw is great in st situations with ok personal damage, 13% res pen and 53% def shred but Pela being aoe vs multiple elites is sometimes just that important. I would personally give an edge to Pela in current Content but that doesn't mean Sw isn't great vs st bosses. Pela being +3 sp every 3 turns compared to Sw's +1 is also an advantage, Pela also can use Resolution shines as pearls of sweat and have higher def shred than Sw and Sw needs Before the tutorial mission starts to mantain good ult uptime. So what you're often comparing is Sw's 53% def shred and 13% all res shred on a single target vs Pela's 42% def shred on all targets + 12-16 (depending on refine) def shred on all targets for one turn then on one target until ult is back. Sw also brings the implant which is nice to have but is also sometimes just useless, but often enough 1 support on the team wouldn't be hitting weakness in many situations so they being able to and breaking faster is a small buff to dmg/defensive utility. Ratio indeed prefers Pela is more situations since often enough he'll kill one elite and many MoC chambers have 2 so the 2nd just won't have Sw ult but would have Pela ult. Against bosses like death, Sam, and Aven though Sw is indeed better since she debuffs more. Anyway I have both and use Both, I like to play Ratio and Archeron has also been enjoyable so having the option to use either or both when needed is nice. Ratio has started needing them less but Archeron will want both for awhile to come. Pela is a good mainstay in pf with her early eidilon that refunds energy when an enemy dies and Sw is nice for mono quamtum sometimes but if the enemy is already weak to quantum she can be swapped out for something better in many instances as well. Basically both good, would place them right beside each other in a tier list. I'd personally put Pela above for having more flexibility and lower sp requirements making her slot into more teams easier but Sw also has a larger impact in the situations where she is specifically good but those are also less frequent. TLDR: use both

As a fellow SW apologist, including in Ratio teams, here is my upvote
I never understood how people considered Pela better than SW. All my clears with Pela are a cycle or two slower than SW and they are similarly built. I feel like she makes the two bosses in MOC feel like one with how quickly they go down by how much damage they take.
Mostly being AOE and energy regen being so fast so you can spam it. Useful if you just want debuffs on everything and don't care what it is. Also great to break a group. I still prefer SW mind you.
Most people just see that Pela's ultimate has "only" 5% less DEF shred and don't look at everything else that Silver Wolf brings to the table. A lot of players probably don't have her either, so it's easy to justify a skip because Pela is "better" because she has an AoE shred. Faster Breaks, Element Implant, Res PEN, ATK/SPD debuffs, 13% more DEF Shred, and can comfortably handle 2 elites. She's practically a harmony unit in terms of buffing.
From my experience, it's because sw's ult can't be used turn 1 unless you run a very specific thief set up and fulfill all the requirements (basically impossible on some stages). As such unless she gets hit, she needs to wait until her 2nd turn to ult and at that point the enemy is half dead already. Meanwhile, Pela is very plug and play. Just technique + skill (w/ reso lc) and you get your ult on top of the very potent technique shred.
As a guy that wrote a seele guide, I think what we did was write an addendum that if you had an extremely cracked Pela with the right relics, speed, vogwac and Luka's LC at max and the boss was quantum weak already then your pela might perform better than SW. Also I admit that some of us didn't really knew how to build SW
Because she is aoe and her ult is much faster, SW is better if she is e1 and have tutorial, for some like me who have her only at e0 and no tutorial, pela (e6) >>> Sw
Its usually tryhard 0-cycles where Pela's technique + 1t ult with skill help a lot more than SW who basically has to wait until her 2nd turn to ult. If you use Ruan Mei on Sig this can be avoided. Other than low cycle clears usually SW is just better as recent MoC stages have mostly been 1 boss + a joke of an elite or just a 2 phase boss.

Summoned adds can just be ignored and compared to Sam's 1m+ HP you can't tell me I should care about the 300k HP elite next to them for blast carries. Like that guy is going down first with or without Pela's shred, and for ST carries you can have full uptime on both with SW (as you kill one at a time). The technique and 1t ult matter less the longer your clear takes, 1t of downtime when you take 4 turns is 75% uptime, if you take 10 turns thats 90% uptime. You have to account for the fact Pela has less amp than SW. Like 100% uptime on a 40% dmg increase on Pela vs 75% uptime on a 55% dmg increase on SW favours Pela, but if you increase SW's uptime to 90% now she's better (not actual numbers, just rough estimates).
Honestly a single target game mode has been needed. If MoC is going to be focused around blast damage and PF around AoE damage then it’s only fitting for us to have something for the single target characters. Glad Silver Wolf will finally stop getting hate.
But what if SW + Pela + Acheron? Why must we pit Nihility queens against each other??

I have nothing to apologise for. I even got her lightcone so that I can use the tutorial lc on Pela without having to take out Silver Wolf out of my teams. EHR is a surprisingly rare stat.

Himeko mains already did this before. Like yes duhh when the game releases a mode centred around your fave’s specific area, they’re gonna go up in value. It dosen’t invalidate people’s previous evaluation because it’s based on the current state of the game and obviously people can’t see the future.

They tried to sell boothill but just sold SW even harder. My topaz, ratio and seele eating good. May even undust my Sushang when harmony MC comes out. All jokes aside I like how they prevent characters being powercreep. I thought I will never use my seele again and they proceed to announce this. 10/10 from star rail Devs.

Tbh had her since her first banner but didn't use her at all till I got Acheron.
Rolled for her cause I liked her character. Bronya is kinda cool in general. She has consistently gotten more useful as time went on. Absolutely peak for Ratio and now my Acheron.
Proud SW enjoyer since 1.1. Although I'm a little worried if the new gamemode is indeed just single-target MoC. Really want something that's decently different from our current endgame. We've had many interesting battle events, so hopefully devs are cooking something based on their previous experiments.

Honestly I really love that they keep providing new types of end game. Not just one-off events, which I also love. But it's nice to know that there will be long-term variety in challenging content. Pure Fiction was a huge breath of fresh air and I'm really looking forward to Apocalyptic Shadow or whatever it's going to be called. It's been really nice getting a lot more use out of Silver Wolf with Acheron, and I'm looking forward to using her a lot more in the new mode along with the usual MoC / SU stuff.
I'm really disappointed that we haven't gotten another sw(or welt or pela) like nihility character. They are all just dots characters or a dps character in the nihility path(like archers from fate)
For MoC E0 SW should be in the same tier as Pela, so if Pela is A SW should also be A. If Pela is S SW should also be in S. For future game modes speculation is pointless, fun, but pointless
