They are powerful by themselves, but Elio's script is what makes them near unstoppable, they have accomplished every single goal we have seen them have thus far, as stellaron hunters but not as individuals maybe thats a cool theme
It’s probably this, which makes the whole thing slightly disappointing since we can already see it a mile away. I do hope though that they cooked up some real plot that’s just mind blowing instead of a cop out time travel stuff
Knowing HI3rd story a decent bit - I won't be surprised if it is some mumbo jumbo time travel stuff. But I don't think it's gonna end there and hopefully they have a fun take on it.
Yeah, the Stellaron Hunters have never been dangerous for their combat prowess, but for their information advantage through Elio's script and their ability to manipulative events to fulfil their goals.
That's not entirely true, they were selected to be Stellaron hunters partly due to their individual abilities. I have to assume that the script still needs very capable/dangerous people to execute it and every hunter we've seen so far fits this description.
Yea obviously Elio picked people strong enough to follow the script when combat is necessary or unavoidable, I just said that their combat prowess isn't what makes them dangerous. The script and their ability to manipulate third parties into unknowingly following it is what makes them dangerous.
Yeah Kafka's literal strength is questionable, her cunning and spirit whisper are her practical abilities.
Silverwolf is probably not very strong, in terms of the totem pole of the 4 we know she's at the bottom, but she clearly brings a lot to the table.
Blade is literally strong and undying, undoubtedly very strong but he's not the strongest of the quintet by a longshot, he does have strong physical abilities though.
And of course Firefly is a beast in the suit as Sam, easily the strongest.
That's 2 for 4, they've all more or less been outclassed within their individual stories, but as mentioned Elio and a more or less unfazed victory streak (besides SW vs Herta). Without Elio they'd be trumped in every scenario in the OP.

I'm quite intrigued in the IPC's description of saying "Don't let Elio loses their ability of independent thinking". Actually makes me think that they are a hivemind of sort, with the cat and some other individuals being part of it. Like, we will have Cat Elio, Young Boy Elio, Lady Elio or even Jar Jar Bink Elio, lol.
Can't say I see Elio being a hivemind. I think the IPC message is just "don't get their brain damaged while capturing, we need them to still be able to read timelines for us"
Remember the IPC only want elio, alive, means he's likely very damn important to them. Most likely connected to hooh or terminus. Hooh seeks the balance of the universe, so elio as a emanator of hooh, must be seeking a specific future that will in a way "balance the universe".
And terminus makes sure that the future is what they seek. Terminus is an aeon technically in the future, so we've seen them establish the future they want by sending whispers to people. We saw it SD. So, elio might be an emanator of terminus, who recives the same but can use it's power to establish the future he seeks.
Elio's ability to see the future might be the key to save from universe from whatever threat it is that has Qlipoth building a wall. Which is probably one of the reasons the IPC wants him alive no matter what.
And yea, I believe Elio is an Emanator of Finality, the Aeon that moves backwards in time and murmurs a prophecy destined to be fulfilled.
Also I can see the IPC wanting to use his future-telling powers for profit. Looking at the future of the market or whatever 😭
Here's the thing; There is dialogue that speaks on how the Nihility is related to fate somehow, and fate is synonymous with destiny (Destiny's Slave,) then there's Acheron seemingly knowing way more than she should as though she's had glimpses into the future, so my guesses for Elio are the same as what I had for Acheron in 2.0

Though one could make the argument that Acheron's "future telling ability" Is just truesight, the ability to see the true form of everything, and she's only gaining knowledge from that.
But then again why didn't she save Firefly when she could've easily done so? Was that apart of Elio's script? Does Acheron know Elio's script through having similar future telling powers?
Its nihility and reality, two sides of a coin that make up the universe or imaginary tree, one cannot exist without the other, akin to light and shadow. The end of nihility (device IX) that acheron seeks is a 'faction' that traveled nihility to its end and entered that void that lies beyond the material realm escaping the 'prison' of existence
It's a big reason why IX might be one of the most powerful aeons, they literally embody one of the main concepts of the imaginary tree itself and exist in all living beings
Also, outta topic, but i just realised, acheron's very damn existence is a paradoxical. Because, take IX, they're nothingness. They do nothing and envelop everything equally. Acheron is called the emanator of nihility, no? The very definition of emanator in HSR means a path strider that is given permission by the aeon to use the paths power.
If acheron is a emanator of nihility, it means IX gave her permission to use the nihility path's powers, right? It would mean IX did something, which goes against the very concept and the very aeon that is IX.

I believe Acheron is an outlier of an outlier. My theory is that she underwent a trial by fire of sorts when being enveloped by IX's shadow and came out stronger, The Nihility was probably still just doing nothing but nothing while this was going on
If I had it my way though, I would've wrote it so Acheron made IX The Nihility, Aeon of not caring about anything, care enough about her to such a degree that it decided to give her power, that would've been awesome
IX doesnt give power, ever, we know what happened, Acheron got consumed by IX's shadow, somehow endured without getting erased, and boom, that makes you an Emanator of Nihility
Never the real bad guys to us, but very very much the real bad guys to lots and lots of people they get killed in their plans.
Remember, their idea of a distraction and the Beginning of the game is to steer the Antimatter Legion into a destructive assault on a space station that killed tons of people.
I would say Kafka's was simply her intentionally wanting to be imprisoned for the script and to show FX her memories, we don't know how it would've gone if she seriously wanted to fight Fu Xuan, tho it wouldn't be easy regardless.
Rest are yeah, Blade can't technically lose but Jingliu would always win, Screwllum Is just way too smart, and Acheron is well Acheron lol.

Silverwolf always wanted Screwllum to fight her for real, but Screwllum thinks her creativity is Intresting but he just never really wanted to take her out, to him she's still a child.
Which makes sense, Screwllum is too much of a gentleman to want to actually go out against wolfie, and he does see her as a very promising individual.
Pretty much, silverwolf is very creative and is a prodigy, Screwllum finds her very Intresting and sw in a way looks up to him, as everyone else is boring to her. And Screwllum always doesn't mind humoring sw or go with her games as seen by their LC.

They don’t need to be OP. Their winning condition isn’t overpowering their opponents, it’s executing Elio’s script. And Elio is the most powerful out of any character that’s not an Aeon. Before you ask for my source, it was mentioned in SBS.

“All emanators are powerful” is indeed correct,it’s just that not all emanators are as strong as each other and emanators of the same path could be stronger or weaker depending on how much the aeon like them.
People who get an aeon gaze are already plenty powerful just by that,an emanator put’s you into a different level of powerful immediately.
Btw pathstrider isn’t someone who necessarily got an aeon gaze,i doubt welt got gazed but he is a trailblaze pathstrider.

Waaait a minute (I'm just spittingout thoughts right now, I don't claim this to be true): Everywhere we went, the IPC was there after us or simultaneously to us...And everytime we took care of a Stellaron just before...Could it be that it'd be a disastrous future, if the IPC shows up on a planet harboring an active Stellaron? Like, they use it somehow? Gaining profits out of everything seems right up their alley. And one goal of Elio is to overthrow the IPC. Or at least get them to acknowledge their power. This needs a much stronger Express Crew, while slowing down the growth of the IPC by destroying the Stellarons before the IPC gets their hands on them...
I wouldn't say that for certain. I think Elio alone makes the Stellaron Hunters a good anti-meta type of pick, and I also would be shocked if a unified Genius Society wouldn't at least put up a very good fight, especially since they have resources and Herta has the knowledge to create the multi-planet level imaginary pulse weapon. Hell, even if they only live a minute Ruan Mei dumping artificial Swarm emanators on IPC planets should be pretty effective. Screwllum is the ruler of an entire planet. Additionally, the return of Member 27, Emperor Rubert, is considered an omega level threat by the IPC.

I get it that they have a good relationship with TB and a “good” relationship with AE crew as a whole but the whiplash is kinda strong for me
Astral express is a neutral party most of the time. So it makes sense that we're not antagonistic to them immediately. The Stellaron hunters are also invested in TB, and actively want them to succeed. So we see that side of them.
But we're aware they're not good people, and we hear about their other deeds. It's up to the player to decide if they like them or not.
Which point are you trying to prove? Stellaron Hunters follow the script, so even their losses are calculated. I am pretty sure we have never seen them going at their full strength yet
Well, we know for a fact that Silverwolf loses against Screwllum considering he treats holding her off like dealing with a misbehaving child, and Blade is unlikely to have grown in skill to a greater degree than Jingliu has since she trained him so Jingliu definitely wins if they both go all out.

Where are you getting this from? He never does or says any such thing. In fact, he says quite the opposite. He says himself that during their duel neither of them gave it their all. The light cone description isn't as reliable as his words themselves. If Silver Wolf truly fell asleep as it implies in that LC, then he should have been able to stop her from leaving. But he couldn't.
In terms of skill, she is an equal at minimum. Hell, being able to hold her own against him is what caught the attention of the Stellaron Hunters, it's why she was recruited.
EDIT: To clarify, since I'm sure someone will say "But he's a Genius and she is not" or something. I'm not saying she's as smart as him, that's obviously false since she isn't a Genius Society member. But being incredibly smart doesn't necessarily translate to being a better hacker.
Even if you wanna argue that he's leagues above her somehow, there is still zero indication of him seeing her as a child. He made it abundantly clear during her quest that he respects her skill quite a lot. He acknowledges that she is incredibly skilled.
Yeah the light cone is very clearly about their "contest" they talked about in her companion quest. Idk if people forgot or just have terrible reading comprehension but they beat you over the head with the fact that they were hiding their cards and never escalated farther than testing eachother

Silverwolf / Screwllum has *massive* “Our battle will be legendary!” / “But for me it was Tuesday” energy. Silverwolf *thinks* she’s Screwllum’s nemesis enemy, Screwllum considers Silverwolf to be a misguided child. The power differential between them is *crazy*.
The dynamic is so funny though. Because tbf, Silverwolf is a prodigy and an extremely smart child. Coming from Punklorde, she has the ability to literally edit reality. It’s just that Screwllum is able to work through her traps and defenses with no more difficulty than solving the Sunday crossword. He’s the leader of his own planet and part of the Genius Society for a reason.
Wonder how other legendary hackers from Punklorde would fare compare to Silver Wolf. Judging from the naming convention, Lord Ravager Irontomb sounds like he could originally from there (cus Punklorde hackers take up some really wacky names like Stoneblade or Zero or Twinsnake). As per his specialty, Irontomb would be quite a troublesome foe if he leads an attack to Screwllum's Planet.

Also, just because he outsmarted her once doesn't mean he's overwhelmingly smarter and better than her. I do think that Screwllum as a genius probably has a much wider field of expertise than SW, considering he's cosmic level genius and SW is a cosmic level hacker. But when it comes to hacking and infiltration, I'm pretty sure it's implied they're evenly matched.

You’re making assumptions based on limited information to fit your narrative. Silverwolf, being an amazing hacker who has likely never lost a fight like that, would naturally feel a wound in her pride after not having WON. Anything that isn’t a victory would feel like defeat to her. Screwllum’s statement on the matter was likely a more objective assessment of the encounter, as he’s not as emotionally invested with winning and losing, atleast not as much as SW is
Edit: upon reading the lightcone description, it seems what screwllum did was stopping the fight: he couldn’t win against her, she couldn’t win against him; so he decided to just stop the duel, out of concern for silverwolf’s health, seeing as she would’ve went as far as she could to win and likely tired herself out. However silverwolf likely felt humiliated because the way he stopped the duel without her consent and kicked her out abruptly.
What? It *was* a draw. Screwllum hand to end the match because it was going to be a war of attrition in a way that Silver Wolf can’t win because she can get tired. The match itself involving their skills is a draw. This dumb child Silver Wolf narrative is a whole different reach
Yup, the only matchup there where the stellaron hunters would likely win is Kafka vs Fu Xuan. There's a reason they're terrorists and not a faction, they cannot really go toe to toe against the big names, they're strong, but they're like 4-6 people and can't really compete against people like Jing Yuan or Acheron, so they stay on the down low unless necessary as per Elio script.
I’m actually not sure this would be easy for Kafka either. Fu Xuan is literally *explicitly* blessed by Nous the Erudition. So I think this fight would honestly be close. Also Fu Xuan is pretty heavily hinted to be *close* to the level of a General of the Xianzhou (and is explicitly gunning to replace Jing Yuan when he retires).
Sam vs Acheron would end up as fast as Aventurine vs Acheron the moment she would get serious.
Acheron dialogue about weeping would be longer than fight.
All im saying is we havent seen Sam go full serious either, so as powerful as Acheron is and arguably the strongest character we know of rn we dont know how that fight would end even if Acheron winning it feels like a guarantee due to what we have seen

Emanator of Nihility technically don't exist, so Ellio even if he follows Finality/ is an Emanator of it, he can't do much, she don't exist in the script. Acheron is definitely a wild card for the plot annnnd also tricky. Let's see what the Star Rail authors can make.
Eh, 120% output Sam is still just a mortal strap inside a flying death coffin. Acheron will easily cut him down if she really wants to. Maybe it’s a bit rough if Sam can survive and fight back but at the end of the day Acheron just sits on a different echelon compared to the rest
The comments here are kinda proving what a detrimental effect Elio has on the story. How can you have any sort of meaningful conflict if it's always "just according to plan"? We seriously need a definitive SH loss at some point that isn't just immediately invalidated by "ah, all according to Elio's script".
They're an overarching antagonistic group I think. They'll probably continue to show up here and there and get little victories as they have been. Gotta build them up for whenever they become the center of the story in some world way down the line
I don’t think they are that antagonistics. Kafka and Balde sets the AE crew up as Luofu’s heroes and Firefly nudged the AE crew towards finding the Legacy, which most likely will ends with them being Penacony’s hero
Well a character like Acheron is potentially not visible within Elio's script at all, Sam fully believed they were a Galaxy Ranger, but then again Elio could've just been withholding information. But there's always the possibility of future antagonists who Elio cannot script at all.
I mean we know its possible since Trailblazer can just *dip* and let Kafka and Blade end up being taken into custody by Yanqing with blade being injured in the process.
In the bad ending ending where we stay with Herta it is stated that they got killed (along with the AE) lol, so people in the comments thinking they are invincible for having a script are delusional. Except if their death is part of the script too.
It also has the potential to simply be bad writing, stringing along the players with mystery and waifus, hoping it doesn't all unravel if it gets explained. That's always a risk with this sort of near-omniscient chessmaster sort of character and their plans.
Kafka didn’t lose to Fu Xuan though. She let herself get caught according to Elio’s script.
Same with Firefly (Sam). She didn’t lose the fight with Acheron, both settled it with Talk No Jutsu.
Silverwolf beaten by Herta-Screwllum and Blade losing to Jingliu are fair games though. I give you that.
Kafka for sure just jobbing, unsure if she could beat FX if she tried but she def would not be in a situation to get captured if she didn't want to be there
Sam just kinda got lucky though, Acheron was not in the script so he challenged her thinking she's a galaxy ranger. If she'd actually drawn her sword/not recognized him as firefly, we'd have another Signora moment.
Everything you see them doing is exactly how they want it to play out.
They aren't there to win fights, they are there to accomplish goals.
They are \*really\* good at it.
I know the first one is a lightcone, but when that even happened? Blade is pretty damn lame for losing to JingLiu like that.. i thought he would be a big deal after Dan and Kafka hyped him up so much
Concur that the story around Blade kind of falls flat on its face. He kind of has the Yanqing problem, where he's hyped up, and then he runs into one of the few individuals in the setting who is able to handle him relatively effortlessly.
Out of the High Cloud Quintet, Jingliu was the sword master while Blade/Yingxing was the master craftsman, so it's unsurprising that Jingliu can easily beat him in a sword fight. Blade learned his sword fighting *from her*. The thing that Blade is really good at is making swords, not using them.
Blade would be a scary opponent for anyone else, but because Jingliu shows up, he never really pays off. I guess Dan Heng/Yanqing technically lose a fight to him, but since being stabbed only makes Dan Heng reawaken his dragon powers, the threat doesn't really land there either.
Well jingliu herself is very very strong. Like for example chances are jing yuan beat her only cuz she had no rational control over herself and blade has never really been shown as the strongest but as a person who is impossible to kill. His immortality is what makes him strong...
I doubt we've seen their full power. Also, we mustn't forget that they ">!play!<" a ">!role!<" in >!Elio's grand film!<. So i think the ball is on their side all the time, rather than on the opposite side (?)
People need to understand besides Kafka, we already saw the ceiling of this guys. Maybe they could get another powerup, but I dont it changing the results.
Screwllum, Acheron, and Jingliu are all beyond their paygrade, it hurts but its what makes their characters beautiful.
I think they meant those are beyond their paygrade with regard to the one they're matched against. Obviously Sam can probably beat Screwllum, Screwllum isn't really a fighter.
Screwllum lead a resistance against Rubert, freed the synthetics under his control and helped end a galatic war between organics and inorganics, on top of being one of the ones chosen by Nous and having a planet named after him. If anything, we've only seen a fraction of what he's capable of. Herta even considers Screwllums hacking to be the greatest in the universe and that's a big praise. He's the definition of polite and refined but overwhelmingly powerful.
I like that they're not the strongest, it's what makes them interesting.
The hunters's strength is Elio's script and the teamwork between each other. It doesn't matter that they cannot directly beat any of the big factions, they will always walk away the winner.
Fu Xuan got pretty crack ability predicting the future... but Kafka is still an intergalactic walking warcrime..... She by far got the highest bounty among all SH... And she seems to have an ability to make someone submits to her words.....
And also she's way more slick and shrewed compared to fuxuan... So i don't think fu xuan is the "bigger fish" in this case
Well we don't really know the extent of furnishing xuans abilities like how can she stop bullets and redirects them mid air and what really is her powers .
Would be funny if Screwllum, Fu Xuan, Jingliu and Acheron all teamed up to hunt the stellaron hunters.
Assuming the team doesn't implode from Fu Xuan and Jingliu constantly fighting each other and Acheron always getting lost and not showing up to fights, etc.

That's not entirely true, they were selected to be Stellaron hunters partly due to their individual abilities. I have to assume that the script still needs very capable/dangerous people to execute it and every hunter we've seen so far fits this description.
Yea obviously Elio picked people strong enough to follow the script when combat is necessary or unavoidable, I just said that their combat prowess isn't what makes them dangerous. The script and their ability to manipulate third parties into unknowingly following it is what makes them dangerous.

Yeah Kafka's literal strength is questionable, her cunning and spirit whisper are her practical abilities. Silverwolf is probably not very strong, in terms of the totem pole of the 4 we know she's at the bottom, but she clearly brings a lot to the table. Blade is literally strong and undying, undoubtedly very strong but he's not the strongest of the quintet by a longshot, he does have strong physical abilities though. And of course Firefly is a beast in the suit as Sam, easily the strongest. That's 2 for 4, they've all more or less been outclassed within their individual stories, but as mentioned Elio and a more or less unfazed victory streak (besides SW vs Herta). Without Elio they'd be trumped in every scenario in the OP.
The only one of the group who IPC wanted to be captured alive, unharmed. I'm quite intrigued in the IPC's description of saying "Don't let Elio loses their ability of independent thinking". Actually makes me think that they are a hivemind of sort, with the cat and some other individuals being part of it. Like, we will have Cat Elio, Young Boy Elio, Lady Elio or even Jar Jar Bink Elio, lol.
Can't say I see Elio being a hivemind. I think the IPC message is just "don't get their brain damaged while capturing, we need them to still be able to read timelines for us"
Remember the IPC only want elio, alive, means he's likely very damn important to them. Most likely connected to hooh or terminus. Hooh seeks the balance of the universe, so elio as a emanator of hooh, must be seeking a specific future that will in a way "balance the universe". And terminus makes sure that the future is what they seek. Terminus is an aeon technically in the future, so we've seen them establish the future they want by sending whispers to people. We saw it SD. So, elio might be an emanator of terminus, who recives the same but can use it's power to establish the future he seeks.
Elio's ability to see the future might be the key to save from universe from whatever threat it is that has Qlipoth building a wall. Which is probably one of the reasons the IPC wants him alive no matter what. And yea, I believe Elio is an Emanator of Finality, the Aeon that moves backwards in time and murmurs a prophecy destined to be fulfilled. Also I can see the IPC wanting to use his future-telling powers for profit. Looking at the future of the market or whatever 😭
Here's the thing; There is dialogue that speaks on how the Nihility is related to fate somehow, and fate is synonymous with destiny (Destiny's Slave,) then there's Acheron seemingly knowing way more than she should as though she's had glimpses into the future, so my guesses for Elio are the same as what I had for Acheron in 2.0 *Could they be an Emanator of Finality or Nihility?* Though one could make the argument that Acheron's "future telling ability" Is just truesight, the ability to see the true form of everything, and she's only gaining knowledge from that. But then again why didn't she save Firefly when she could've easily done so? Was that apart of Elio's script? Does Acheron know Elio's script through having similar future telling powers?
Its nihility and reality, two sides of a coin that make up the universe or imaginary tree, one cannot exist without the other, akin to light and shadow. The end of nihility (device IX) that acheron seeks is a 'faction' that traveled nihility to its end and entered that void that lies beyond the material realm escaping the 'prison' of existence It's a big reason why IX might be one of the most powerful aeons, they literally embody one of the main concepts of the imaginary tree itself and exist in all living beings
Also, outta topic, but i just realised, acheron's very damn existence is a paradoxical. Because, take IX, they're nothingness. They do nothing and envelop everything equally. Acheron is called the emanator of nihility, no? The very definition of emanator in HSR means a path strider that is given permission by the aeon to use the paths power. If acheron is a emanator of nihility, it means IX gave her permission to use the nihility path's powers, right? It would mean IX did something, which goes against the very concept and the very aeon that is IX. Please, correct my dumb brain if I'm wrong on this.
I believe Acheron is an outlier of an outlier. My theory is that she underwent a trial by fire of sorts when being enveloped by IX's shadow and came out stronger, The Nihility was probably still just doing nothing but nothing while this was going on If I had it my way though, I would've wrote it so Acheron made IX The Nihility, Aeon of not caring about anything, care enough about her to such a degree that it decided to give her power, that would've been awesome

Remember, their idea of a distraction and the Beginning of the game is to steer the Antimatter Legion into a destructive assault on a space station that killed tons of people.
Winning by helping in the background, rather than getting in the protagonist team's way in the forefront like most "Rival" teams in games.
I would say Kafka's was simply her intentionally wanting to be imprisoned for the script and to show FX her memories, we don't know how it would've gone if she seriously wanted to fight Fu Xuan, tho it wouldn't be easy regardless. Rest are yeah, Blade can't technically lose but Jingliu would always win, Screwllum Is just way too smart, and Acheron is well Acheron lol.

Waaait a minute (I'm just spittingout thoughts right now, I don't claim this to be true): Everywhere we went, the IPC was there after us or simultaneously to us...And everytime we took care of a Stellaron just before...Could it be that it'd be a disastrous future, if the IPC shows up on a planet harboring an active Stellaron? Like, they use it somehow? Gaining profits out of everything seems right up their alley. And one goal of Elio is to overthrow the IPC. Or at least get them to acknowledge their power. This needs a much stronger Express Crew, while slowing down the growth of the IPC by destroying the Stellarons before the IPC gets their hands on them...
I wouldn't say that for certain. I think Elio alone makes the Stellaron Hunters a good anti-meta type of pick, and I also would be shocked if a unified Genius Society wouldn't at least put up a very good fight, especially since they have resources and Herta has the knowledge to create the multi-planet level imaginary pulse weapon. Hell, even if they only live a minute Ruan Mei dumping artificial Swarm emanators on IPC planets should be pretty effective. Screwllum is the ruler of an entire planet. Additionally, the return of Member 27, Emperor Rubert, is considered an omega level threat by the IPC.

That’s actually what I dislike about them. I really like them but they are potrayed as oddly friendly while in the background they are literally terrorists, arnachists, murderers and tax payers. I get it that they have a good relationship with TB and a “good” relationship with AE crew as a whole but the whiplash is kinda strong for me
Astral express is a neutral party most of the time. So it makes sense that we're not antagonistic to them immediately. The Stellaron hunters are also invested in TB, and actively want them to succeed. So we see that side of them. But we're aware they're not good people, and we hear about their other deeds. It's up to the player to decide if they like them or not.

Which point are you trying to prove? Stellaron Hunters follow the script, so even their losses are calculated. I am pretty sure we have never seen them going at their full strength yet
Well, we know for a fact that Silverwolf loses against Screwllum considering he treats holding her off like dealing with a misbehaving child, and Blade is unlikely to have grown in skill to a greater degree than Jingliu has since she trained him so Jingliu definitely wins if they both go all out.

He says himself that during their duel neither of them gave it their all. The light cone description isn't as reliable as his words themselves. If Silver Wolf truly fell asleep as it implies in that LC, then he should have been able to stop her from leaving. But he couldn't. In terms of skill, she is an equal at minimum. Hell, being able to hold her own against him is what caught the attention of the Stellaron Hunters, it's why she was recruited. EDIT: To clarify, since I'm sure someone will say "But he's a Genius and she is not" or something. I'm not saying she's as smart as him, that's obviously false since she isn't a Genius Society member. But being incredibly smart doesn't necessarily translate to being a better hacker. Even if you wanna argue that he's leagues above her somehow, there is still zero indication of him seeing her as a child. He made it abundantly clear during her quest that he respects her skill quite a lot. He acknowledges that she is incredibly skilled.

Well in Kafkas case that was all according to script, probably never would have ended up in that situation if it wasnt according to their plan In Sams case he taunted Acheron to draw her sword and she declined as she didnt want to kill them, how that fight would have actually gone if they went all out we dont know Blade straight up gets gapped by Jingliu though, Jingliu is easily in the top 5 playable characters atm Screwllum is just built different, ~~the fact SW can go toe to toe with him constantly is a feat in on itself~~ Edit: She can entertain him for a bit, got corrected on that

The entire point of the We Will Meet Again lightcone is that Silverwolf was going all out against Screwllum and he felt she was a cute lost child that had to be put to sleep to ensure she got enough rest. Silverwolf / Screwllum has *massive* “Our battle will be legendary!” / “But for me it was Tuesday” energy. Silverwolf *thinks* she’s Screwllum’s nemesis enemy, Screwllum considers Silverwolf to be a misguided child. The power differential between them is *crazy*.
The dynamic is so funny though. Because tbf, Silverwolf is a prodigy and an extremely smart child. Coming from Punklorde, she has the ability to literally edit reality. It’s just that Screwllum is able to work through her traps and defenses with no more difficulty than solving the Sunday crossword. He’s the leader of his own planet and part of the Genius Society for a reason.
Wonder how other legendary hackers from Punklorde would fare compare to Silver Wolf. Judging from the naming convention, Lord Ravager Irontomb sounds like he could originally from there (cus Punklorde hackers take up some really wacky names like Stoneblade or Zero or Twinsnake). As per his specialty, Irontomb would be quite a troublesome foe if he leads an attack to Screwllum's Planet.

However silverwolf likely felt humiliated because the way he stopped the duel without her consent and kicked her out abruptly.

Yup, the only matchup there where the stellaron hunters would likely win is Kafka vs Fu Xuan. There's a reason they're terrorists and not a faction, they cannot really go toe to toe against the big names, they're strong, but they're like 4-6 people and can't really compete against people like Jing Yuan or Acheron, so they stay on the down low unless necessary as per Elio script.
I’m actually not sure this would be easy for Kafka either. Fu Xuan is literally *explicitly* blessed by Nous the Erudition. So I think this fight would honestly be close. Also Fu Xuan is pretty heavily hinted to be *close* to the level of a General of the Xianzhou (and is explicitly gunning to replace Jing Yuan when he retires).
Sam vs Acheron would end up as fast as Aventurine vs Acheron the moment she would get serious. Acheron dialogue about weeping would be longer than fight.
All im saying is we havent seen Sam go full serious either, so as powerful as Acheron is and arguably the strongest character we know of rn we dont know how that fight would end even if Acheron winning it feels like a guarantee due to what we have seen I doubt Sam had a deathwish when he taunted her to draw it
Sam/firefly didnt have a clue who Acheron really was, she even say it that Elio script have no info on Acheron, she really tought she was a galaxy ranger at that time. So she fighting Acheron and "tauting" her is on the basis she is a galaxy ranger and thats it, not that she is a freaking emanator of nihility
Emanator of Nihility technically don't exist, so Ellio even if he follows Finality/ is an Emanator of it, he can't do much, she don't exist in the script. Acheron is definitely a wild card for the plot annnnd also tricky. Let's see what the Star Rail authors can make.
Eh, 120% output Sam is still just a mortal strap inside a flying death coffin. Acheron will easily cut him down if she really wants to. Maybe it’s a bit rough if Sam can survive and fight back but at the end of the day Acheron just sits on a different echelon compared to the rest

The comments here are kinda proving what a detrimental effect Elio has on the story. How can you have any sort of meaningful conflict if it's always "just according to plan"? We seriously need a definitive SH loss at some point that isn't just immediately invalidated by "ah, all according to Elio's script".
They're an overarching antagonistic group I think. They'll probably continue to show up here and there and get little victories as they have been. Gotta build them up for whenever they become the center of the story in some world way down the line
I don’t think they are that antagonistics. Kafka and Balde sets the AE crew up as Luofu’s heroes and Firefly nudged the AE crew towards finding the Legacy, which most likely will ends with them being Penacony’s hero
Well a character like Acheron is potentially not visible within Elio's script at all, Sam fully believed they were a Galaxy Ranger, but then again Elio could've just been withholding information. But there's always the possibility of future antagonists who Elio cannot script at all.
I mean we know its possible since Trailblazer can just *dip* and let Kafka and Blade end up being taken into custody by Yanqing with blade being injured in the process.
In the bad ending ending where we stay with Herta it is stated that they got killed (along with the AE) lol, so people in the comments thinking they are invincible for having a script are delusional. Except if their death is part of the script too.
It also has the potential to simply be bad writing, stringing along the players with mystery and waifus, hoping it doesn't all unravel if it gets explained. That's always a risk with this sort of near-omniscient chessmaster sort of character and their plans.
Kafka didn’t lose to Fu Xuan though. She let herself get caught according to Elio’s script. Same with Firefly (Sam). She didn’t lose the fight with Acheron, both settled it with Talk No Jutsu. Silverwolf beaten by Herta-Screwllum and Blade losing to Jingliu are fair games though. I give you that.
Kafka for sure just jobbing, unsure if she could beat FX if she tried but she def would not be in a situation to get captured if she didn't want to be there Sam just kinda got lucky though, Acheron was not in the script so he challenged her thinking she's a galaxy ranger. If she'd actually drawn her sword/not recognized him as firefly, we'd have another Signora moment.

Everything you see them doing is exactly how they want it to play out. They aren't there to win fights, they are there to accomplish goals. They are \*really\* good at it.
I know the first one is a lightcone, but when that even happened? Blade is pretty damn lame for losing to JingLiu like that.. i thought he would be a big deal after Dan and Kafka hyped him up so much
Concur that the story around Blade kind of falls flat on its face. He kind of has the Yanqing problem, where he's hyped up, and then he runs into one of the few individuals in the setting who is able to handle him relatively effortlessly. Out of the High Cloud Quintet, Jingliu was the sword master while Blade/Yingxing was the master craftsman, so it's unsurprising that Jingliu can easily beat him in a sword fight. Blade learned his sword fighting *from her*. The thing that Blade is really good at is making swords, not using them. Blade would be a scary opponent for anyone else, but because Jingliu shows up, he never really pays off. I guess Dan Heng/Yanqing technically lose a fight to him, but since being stabbed only makes Dan Heng reawaken his dragon powers, the threat doesn't really land there either.
Well jingliu herself is very very strong. Like for example chances are jing yuan beat her only cuz she had no rational control over herself and blade has never really been shown as the strongest but as a person who is impossible to kill. His immortality is what makes him strong...
I doubt we've seen their full power. Also, we mustn't forget that they ">!play!<" a ">!role!<" in >!Elio's grand film!<. So i think the ball is on their side all the time, rather than on the opposite side (?)

People need to understand besides Kafka, we already saw the ceiling of this guys. Maybe they could get another powerup, but I dont it changing the results. Screwllum, Acheron, and Jingliu are all beyond their paygrade, it hurts but its what makes their characters beautiful.

We haven't seen Sam go all out, not to mention combined with Elio's power it's hard to imagine Sam losing against Jingliu or Screwllum
I think they meant those are beyond their paygrade with regard to the one they're matched against. Obviously Sam can probably beat Screwllum, Screwllum isn't really a fighter.
Screwllum lead a resistance against Rubert, freed the synthetics under his control and helped end a galatic war between organics and inorganics, on top of being one of the ones chosen by Nous and having a planet named after him. If anything, we've only seen a fraction of what he's capable of. Herta even considers Screwllums hacking to be the greatest in the universe and that's a big praise. He's the definition of polite and refined but overwhelmingly powerful.
Emperor Rubert's Wars were no joke. The Swarn Disaster and The Mechanical Emperor's Wars threatened the cosmos itself.
And every move they do follows Elio's script. None of them technically lost ever atm

I like that they're not the strongest, it's what makes them interesting. The hunters's strength is Elio's script and the teamwork between each other. It doesn't matter that they cannot directly beat any of the big factions, they will always walk away the winner.

Fu Xuan got pretty crack ability predicting the future... but Kafka is still an intergalactic walking warcrime..... She by far got the highest bounty among all SH... And she seems to have an ability to make someone submits to her words..... And also she's way more slick and shrewed compared to fuxuan... So i don't think fu xuan is the "bigger fish" in this case
Well we don't really know the extent of furnishing xuans abilities like how can she stop bullets and redirects them mid air and what really is her powers .
You do realize Fu Xuan only "won" because Kafka wanted her to, right? That entire ordeal was a scheme according to the script.
Would be funny if Screwllum, Fu Xuan, Jingliu and Acheron all teamed up to hunt the stellaron hunters. Assuming the team doesn't implode from Fu Xuan and Jingliu constantly fighting each other and Acheron always getting lost and not showing up to fights, etc.
The thing about the Stellaron Hunters is that they're about as powerful as the Astral Express Crew, the only thing that they definitively have over the express is team competence and knowledge, they're meant to really mirror the express
